everything was great, Im frugal so I pick up my pizza. My pizza was ready exactly when they said and they sent me a yext message saying it was ready. I picked it up at the pickup shelf and was greeted and told to have a great nighr as I exited. My pizza was warm and fresh when I got in my car to take a peak. Pagliacci is possibly the most expensive pizza but I feel strongly that it is the best actual pizza. I also value that Pagliacci pays their employees well and take care of them. This is not a review for the food or staff at the Greenwood location. The staff and quality of food are great, they made my pizza in time and it's pretty delicious. The staff are polite and well trained. I wish my pizza was hot when I picked them up 5 mins later, they were not. By the time I got home they went cold. I continue to struggle with the pricing of this franchise. On paper, their pi day "discount" seems like a good deal. But actually it's awful. You pay more money but get less pizza (their 11 inches are tiiiiinnnyyy). You're actually better off ordering a full size and you'll get more but pay less. $31 for 2 tiny pizzas is a joke. Never again. I'm going to look around for other pizza stores with reasonable prices and delicious local ingredients who can pay their staff well but don't have to burn through customers' pockets. read more

Visiting family on Halloween, we decided to make it easy and order pizza for dinner. Pagliacci was recommended and they delivered, so we decided to try them out! Ordering online for delivery was super easy. Once the order was submitted, we were quoted a delivery time and it had a tracker to let you know when your pizza was being prepared and when it was on the way. I wasn't sure if Halloween would be busy, but our pizza arrived right on time! The delivery guy was very nice. We got three 13" pizzas: cheese, pepperoni, and veggie. All of them were very good! How thankful I am for Pagliacci Pizza. I don't know how I could have made it through 9 months of pandemic living without my favorite Italian pie producer! Whenever I can't decide what to make for dinner, or if I've I arrived home just to pooped to prepare the repast, a quick call to Pagliacci puts and end to the prandial problem. Honestly, I've been ordering from Pagliacci twice or three times per month since this "whole thing" got started. Pagliacci has been a lifering around my house with nary a disappointment nor complaint. On Fridays, the vegetarian spinach and roasted garlic "Italiano" is our usual order. Other days, I request to add prosciutto if the "Prosciutto Primo" is off the menu. Their seasonal special, the "Mushroom Medley," with chantrelles was also just smashing. Caesar with anchovies is the salad of choice on Fridays, and yes, you can order those fishies on the side if you like. Just imagine romaine lettuce coated with creamy housemade dressing as the perfect vehicle for Macrina Bakery's big, buttery, crispy Parmesan croutons. Yummy scrummy! Other days, the Pagliacci salad is a true Italian delight. Fresh lettuce, garbanzo beans, diced red peppers, kasseri cheese, and salami and red onion (chopped into wee bits) all get tossed with housemade vinaigrette dressing, resulting in a winning salad that is satisfyingly stout. Contact-less, at-home delivery that features no-touch and no-signing at drop-off means that you stay safe and socially-distanced. Oh! DId you just hear that? A ding-dong of the doorbell followed by a knock on the door means it's time to eat. Excuse me, but I need to go get the pizza from the entryway and wave good-bye to that nice delivery-driver. The pizzas coming from this location in particular (but a general issue with Pagliacci) have toppings just randomly thrown all over the pizza. Meaning, some slices have gobs of one topping but none of another topping. I don't like biting into a slice where there's a huge mouthful of roasted red peppers and nothing else. Also the crust is inconsistent, sometimes it's fluffy and rises properly and sometimes it's flat. But it's always undercooked. For the price I'm going to start trying other places. read more

Pagliacci has always been good, but this location gets a 5 stars from me because of an awesome experience. Boyfriend and I were going to see my friend sing a few miles away at the Seattle Musical Theater, but did not plan very well.. we were starving and figured there would be lots of casual places to eat close nearby. Umm, there aren't. So we're frantically looking for a place to stuff our faces (so we don't sit for 2.5 hours on an empty stomach! the horror!!). Walking into Pagliacci, we had exactly 45 minutes to order, eat, pay and get to the show. Telling the guy behind the counter this, he advised us not to order a pizza - it would take a least 25 minutes to come out w/ the people ahead of us. SO he recommended their delicious Italian salad and breadsticks. He put the breadsticks "on rush" for us and personally delivered them the second they came up, split the salad into two bowls, plus sodas on the house because we had been stressed running around. The crust is somewhat dense allowing for the toppings to be held in place and makes for a good base. Normally, I'm a crust eater, but didn't want to waste stomach space when the toppings are good with the crust. Ordered the original cheese and the Verde Primo. It tasted fresh and the tomato sauce is good and the verde tasted of yummy garlic. The artichokes plus goat cheese was really good. I really enjoy that the included containers of parm cheese and red peppers are super fresh like someone had just shaved the cheese. None of that packet garbage. Does this look like it's worth $29.86? I'm incredibly shocked that we waited an hour for delivery FOR THIS. Delivery tip is included but guess what? When you sign, it leaves an "option" for a second tip while the delivery person watches you sign (The delivery woman seemed nice enough, I must add for some balance, though). On April 3, I ordered a Pagliaccio salad and centioli, it arrived and looked amazing. I like this salad, but hate the bitter white ends of lettuce, so I was picking them out as I plated my food. Luckily I'm picky af or I wouldn't have found the long black hairs in the middle of the salad until the were stuck in my mouth. I immediately called and offered to send pictures, which were declined. The person I was speaking with offered a refund. A couple days go by and the refund hasn't processed, so I call back, am told the whole amount will be returned along with a gift card. I told the person it won't get used because I only order the salad and that's not going to happen for a while. The person reassured me the refund would be processed immediately. Four phone calls, several emails and two weeks later I still haven't received a refund, but have heard every excuse imaginable; management is looking into it, your emails were received, accounting will process it qhen they return or it must have slipped through the cracks. Pagliacci was my favourite place to grab a salad on the way home, now it's just another disappointment with poor customer service and lack of follow through. read more

It's not the cheapest pizza, but it tastes pretty fantastic, and they have, by far, the best costumer service around. After my experience, above, I called Pagliacci in hopes of better luck. Not only did I get a great pizza and really nice people to take my order and deliver it to me, but I was also surprised at my door with a card that said, "THANKS! This one's on us! - Pagliacci Pizza." My jaw hit the ground as the delivery man just smiled, shook my hand, and walked away. It's rare to see one company unknowingly make up for another company's blunder by offering superb service with a smile. We love Pagliacci pizza but delivery handoff during COVID was Poor. We walked outside our apartment building and the pizza box was sitting on the ground in front of the driver. We called to clarify with the business and they confirmed their policy right now is to place the pizza somewhere for the customer to grab instead of handing it to them. This seems unnecessary- all other food delivery companies/restaurants make a quick handoff. If you need to place it somewhere, please inform the customer of this on the phone prior to or at delivery(when he called upon arrival). I could have buzzed him into then building to place the pizza on the table in the lobby. Placing food on the ground is MUCH LESS SANITARY than a handoff - as long as both parties are wearing a mask. read more

I love Pagliacci pizza. It's my favorite local "chain" pizza around. The people are always super nice, pizza is always hot and fresh and the food is tasty. My husband and I love the Pagliacco salad! It's sooo good! We usually get a pizza, pagliacco salad and sometimes a pair of their breadsticks (they're monstrous btw). Their pizza was quite delightful. It's a perfect spot for lunch since you can order by the slice and have salad for a side too. I ordered 2 slices that appealed to me and they did not disappoint. Maybe it was because I was hungry, but the cheese pizza blew me away. Whenever any seemingly simple food is made unusually tasty, it must be noted. That's when you know it's a good pizza chain! I grew up eating 75-100 cent slices at the Queen Pizzeria in Brooklyn Heights. Arguably better than any of the many "famous " Ray's that even in the early 1980's were all over Manhattan and South Brooklyn. No, not the guys from the "Pizza Connection," just New York pizza done right, calzones, zeppoles, orange and grape 'drink'. Simple hot fresh best, fast food as God intended. Pagliacci's ain't the same: it's better. They understand that pizza is at its finest hot and with every ingredient very fresh. And it is at Pag's: hot and fresh. Lots of preprogrammed choices, and enough latitude to build your own masterpiece. But they understand the basis of a thin pizza is crust with a sweet tomato sauce that holds the rest together (even though Pags offers white pies and several other base). So there is variety also, which is always very cool. Their salads are great also, especially the penne and garden pea. Calzones are huge and filling and also follow the Northeast modem: crispy outer (order these 'well done' and see what I mean), with twin-cheesy middle plus whatever you add, I recommend the Mamma Lil peppers for a mildly hot tang. Not thrilled by the Centoli, a pizza-like bake with a very light treatment of olive oil base, a scant bit of cheese, some herb and veg schmear. Not sure if it's a Pagliacci thing or more widespread. Not bad, just survived delivery less well than other menu items. So, Pagliacci is A+ pizza et cetera, with minor caveats. The loyalty program will make you fat if you're not careful. Delivery is almost always fast and always correct and hot. Pizza is the food of life, celebrate it! read more

There are two levels of pizza in my book: delivery and eat in/take away. As far as I'm concerned, there are different standards for both. Standards for eat-in being far higher: think Little Star or Pizzeria Delfina from San Francisco, Delancy or Bar Corso in Seattle. We are talking about a truly special pizza, folks. My standards for pizza delivery have always been lower, because I want it quick and easy. And let's face it, maybe a movie and pajamas are involved. Seattlites, the great thing about Pagliacci is you can wear your pajamas AND eat good pizza. Do you know how rare that is? After living in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Washington D.C. and Seattle, I can attest that finding good pizza delivery, even in great food cities, is a difficult thing. So when I don't want to take off my slippers, I am usually not expecting to enjoy chewy perfectly salted and crisped crust, farm fresh ingredients, and charcuterie from one of the best shops on the West Coast (Salumi) Are you serious? You mean I also get great customer service? Really? I'm wearing my pajamas AND I get to buy pizza from a company that worries about recycling their pizza boxes? Wow, did I just score or what? Ordered a mushroom pizza on a drizzly evening. Tis, the delivery charge was a bit heafty when the location want to far. I chose to go pick it up. The drive there was weary and parking was to no avail. I ended up parking and on the curb. I got the delivered the pizza safely home. My wife and I was excited. There pizza was good! Overall with the drive, in even in a drizzly night. I didn't give a 5-stars due to the customer service. I had to ask for the pepper, cheese and napkins. I have long been a fan of Pagliacci Pizza because of their unique ingredients and being a local chain. They should have a thin crust.with some yeast in it. Aside from that I don't think that they comply with COVID-19 protections delivery came tonight with several knocks on the door in spite of the fact that I asked the delivery person to knock on the door and leave the pizza on the doormat after several knocks I got a phone call once again as I mentioned through the door for them to leave the pizza. I had already left a big tip so was no reason for them not to follow instructions.I get thousands of dollars of goods delivered to my door like Amazon daily I never sign for them I don't want to be exposed to Covid at my age and with contra indications this is the last time I'll order from Pagliacci. I like Pagliacci a lot. As far as local pizza places it's right up there with my favorites. I really like their Pesto Primo, Pepperoni, Brooklyn Bridge, and Hawaiian. The prices on pizzas are a little higher than some places but the large is huge and can feed 3-4 people. Delivery people are really nice at this location. The crust can get a little soggy if the pizza is sitting for awhile but that's understandable. If you eat it right away while it's hot the crust is crisp and delicious. I think they could afford to put a little more sauce on their pizzas but that's just my personal preference. Overall Pagliacci delivers solid, tasty pizza! read more

I enjoy the Spinach and Chicken, the Pesto Primo, and the Goat cheese primo quite immensely. Good crust, fresh toppings, delicious sauce. Everything about the pizza is five stars, without argument. The only reason they lose half or one star, doesn't really matter which, is because as much as I hate to say it since I don't think price point should ever really matter... 25 bucks for a 17 inch pizza is totally ridiculous. I will only get pizza here with coupons, and with coupons, they are a five star joint... but again... 25 bucks for one pizza... *smacks with newspaper*. Anyways, fast and friendly delivery as well. I don't know if all Pagliacci's are created equal or not, but I remember having Pagliacci's at a friends (she lives closer to Ballard proper) and it was pretty dang good. Since we've moved here (to Ballard/ Phinney area), we've ordered several times from this Greenwood location and it's "OK." Now, I'm beginning to miss Crash Landing. Living super close to the now closed Crash Landing Pizza (RIP), we ordered from them all the time. When their pizza was good, it was great. But, even they, I dare say, were inconsistent. The same goes for this Greenwood Pagliacci. The last several times we've ordered the pizza has been just "meh" (in fact, if it had always been like the last couple times, it'd be getting 2 stars). Uncooked/ crisped up dough, our last one was super over-sauced. The mushroom pizza is really uninteresting (they cook w raw mushrooms, no sauteeing, etc). As a native New Yorker, I love plain, ol' cheese pizza, which is what we often order.... but I'm thinking your best success is to order with toppings. Just not mushrooms. Oh, and the sauce isn't my fave either. The positives: typically Pagliacci has good crust, it's legit, like NY style crust, usually super tasty with a crisp outer edge and a chew to it. Service is great, they are super nice, and they keep all your info on some local system. Imagine, you go to dial them, and they answer, "hello Heather, what can I get you tonight?" Pretty cool. They also keep a credit card on file, which is great, so if you order to the same house, same phone and you give them the last 4 of your CC, you're good to go. The thing I love about Pagliacci is the delivery service. They have a great call center, where the operators are super-professional, (no high-school kids putting you on indefinite hold here) and the computer remembers your address and CC #. I would really call this "Seattle-style" pizza, because it is all about the toppings, and their "seasonal offerings" reflect this area's obsession with fresh, seasonal ingredients. I ordered 2 pizzas . One Margarita and one sausage. Both were mediocre at best. The sausage Pizza had a bare minimal amount of sausage and the Margarita had no flavor and not enough cheese. These 2 pizzas were almost 60.00. Way too much money for bad pizza. Will never order from them again! read more
