They did not keep me informed or respond in a timely manner when contacted about beginning and completing the work. The actual job was 5 star, but the whole process took 6 months. It was a basic bathtub to shower conversion. Everyone was very nice, but the lack of communication was extremely frustrating. Most information that I needed was either not given, incorrect, or obtained by asking for it myself. I indicated in the post job survey that if they wanted to know the specifics of my frustrations to contact me and they did not. Can't say how their product is. Couldn't get past the sales presentation. I was late getting home, so my wife relayed some of this. Thom Cimino arrived and said "Are we going to make a deal today?" Then he just about cancelled the appointment when he found out I wasn't there. And that's what set me off -- he was rude to my wife. He only took a couple rough measurements, didn't know if their standard-size enclosures could work in our larger shower space, and didn't want to write up a detailed estimate unless we were going to sign. Then of course the "10% discount only if you sign tonight; it will be about 6 - 8 thousand". I understand there are probably pressures for him at the corporate level, but that's no excuse for being lazy. Another contractor spent 1.5 hours here, left a line-item (price on every line) estimate, and there was nothing about time limits. You want me to do a deal? Give me a real estimate. Not a fuzzy flip through the brochures / call me back when you're ready to get me a commission. read more

We hired Rebath in November 2019. Spent an extensive amount of time with Adam Diaz the salesman outlining what we wanted. We asked about ADA compliant bars around the toilet and vanity installation in addition to the shower replacement. When I say extensive I mean the guy was there for hours and repeated himself so much I could have given the presentation by the time we were done. We agreed on the work we discussed and signed contracts and gave him a deposit. In the meantime Rebath kept us abreast of the fabrication schedule and when to expect installation. I noted that the vanity and ADA bars weren't mentioned and asked if additional work orders needed to be created. Crickets. Diaz never responded. Installation day comes and no work order for vanity or bar. Was told by Diaz it was my fault because I didn't make sure he put it in the contract. He came back with a quote 3x more than what he quoted in November for the additional work. That's a big pass. The only reason I am giving them such a high rating is because Sean O'Reilly the installer was great! Did good work and was easy to work with. read more

Do not do business with these people. The salesperson is a con artist. I said I would paint so he never put a work order in to fix the drywall around the shower. I was later told that would be 1600 extra to tape and texture the walls. I was told the glass had been ordered by Eduardo I'mn the office only to have him come out and take measurements the next day. Then Doreen told me the glass was in along with the new panel thed had to be reinstalled due to installer not reading order. They sent 2 guys out to the house to install drywall but not finish it. Big gaps between drywall and wall were left as finished. Now I was told installer be st my home by 12 noon with the glass and panel, then Doreen told me 3 5 minutes later Eduardo tells me 4. A 4 day job has now gone on for 4 weeks. Do not give them any money until youh are completley satisfied the job is done. The owner Micael Storm will not talk to customers. This is in response to the lies hat this companies owner told the Better Business bureau and read the same things that the one star ratings are saying. Instead of taking ownership of their handymen's work they try and deflect the issue at me, a disabled person. That is so low. This is in response to the letter they wrote the BBB and People deserve the right to know the truth and not the lies the whole company is in on trying to people, making them mad, putting them on speaker phone, not answering the phone so that you can get a hold of them. Deflecting the matter to say I am the cause is so far from your worker poor workmanship because I was never there when the work was being done but I am the problem. You decide. They also disclosed my disability which is against the law. My health issues are Dr patient confidentiality and not for them to let the world know price medical history. If they do not take that down I am looking into legal was to handle this breach of my medidical history. I have already called the medical board and other government agencies and am on the right track to handle it through the court system Nand look into their license for deflecting their poor workmanship into my personal medical issues. When we first had talked with their sales rep they told us that we would sign the contract for 10 weeks when they would "receive everything so they can install"(LIE 1) that was in mid June. He also said that it take usually 6 weeks (LIE 2). That "6 weeks" kinda sold us with them. July i asked for an update and they said still on schedule for 15 Sep. 10 Sep after receiving nothing from the company on any sort of status I had to contact them. After that they said they would call me ( LIE 3) which they did not I, the customer who had already put money down, had to contact them several times in this process. When we were finally able to talk they said they would be able to do the start the installation on 11 Oct (LIE 4). Received a phone call on the Friday before the installation was supposed to begin stating that they still did not have all the parts and would have to cancel the installation until they can get "confirmation" that they would receive the part they were missing. We were warned by another company about this and we ignored them. We should have went with them then out bathroom might actually be done by now. No customer service. read more

What a wonderful experience! Carl came out a few months ago and showed us options based on our request and needs. Mid way through the waiting process, we decided we wanted a larger soaking tub. You know what, they addressed our request immediately. Yes , it cost more money but we arrived at a fair compromise. While almost forgetting about our remodel ( no not really), the office called last Friday to schedule the install. Mike and Alex arrived and immediately went to work. They were polite, caring , tidy and professional. There were a few hiccups not due to them but what they found after taking the old product out. They NEVER complained. This is the biggest scam..I thought I was dealing with Home Depot as that's the phone number I called. The workers were fine but I specifically said I need a skid proof floor to my shower as I am 87 years old. I DID not get it, it was smooth! They told me if I put a decal or did anything to the floor the warranty was no good. I paid twice for the bathroom mirror and they did not put in the paid for soap dish...Home Depot should do something about this shoddy work! read more

Mike Storms was by far the best contractor and installer that we've ever had. We've done two major remodels before, and Mike and his guys were the cleanest, most professional, and most efficient. They didn't go over budget, they were clear about what they were doing, and Mike works harder than anyone we've met in construction. I think the office staff at Rebath could have communicated better about scheduling, but the people who came to our home to rip out and redo the bathrooms were just excellent. Their work ethic was incredible, to the point where we were very grateful for the effort that they made to make our bathrooms look great. Overall, we would highly recommend Rebath. read more

Can't get an appointment for estimate without detailing exactly what you want. I wanted someone to come out and recommend what re-do of bathroom needed. When I told them that I couldn't commit to exactly what I wanted she wished me good day and hung up. This is a franchise that is located in Portland Oregon. This company is a complete SCAM. We hired this company with their company model of "8-12 weeks from the time you sign contract, with a 1 week install time" BS AND BULLSHIT!! We signed a contract beginning of July and FINALLY they showed up on NOVEMBER 11!!!!!! Every time I called to check the status of our install, I was given some STUPID excuse as to why it was taking so long. Never once did anyone call me to update me with the status of our purchase . Both the receptionist and contract manager "Doreen " were horribly rude to me, and ANNOYED that I was even upset about the delay. Now that the "2 person team" has started, they have been Late every single day, and who's knows what the end result will be. I asked about patching holes in the walls from where the towel bars and medicine cabinet Mirrors were and the response is "well I don't think that is in the contract " WHAAAAT??? So you will just leave holes in our walls???? This is by far the BIGGEST remodeling mistake my husband and I have made. Save yourself the money and headache and HIRE SOMEONE ELSE! This an update to my prior review. Since the installation Pacific Coast Rebath has been using stall tactics to avoid fixing a matter that needs addressing after the initial installation. I had to go in to talk to someone face to face because they would not return any phone calls. I sure hope they keep their word of guaranteeing their work. The only reason why I am beating this dead horse is because I have actually received an email from another client of theirs with the same story....ReBath sucks. Since my last update, my family and I have moved from Cali, and never looked back. They only thing that has changed was my address, all other contact info remains the same. After multiple attempts with emails and phone calls I have never received anything close to ReBath sticking up for there so called customer service. Pacific Coast ReBath handled this simple remodel so unprofessional and the workmanship is completely unsatisfactory. Pacific Coast ReBath scheduled the job to start at end of August 2018 but wasn't completed until December 2018. The original job was supposed to take one week and the job went on for months (with numerous delays, excuses and at one point I was told by the project manager that they showed the job complete). During the first week (starting 09/28/18) the installer was pulled off my job to demo another job, while my bathrooms were incomplete. The next day the installer disappeared from the job site early without indicating he was leaving (later determined he had personal problems as indicated by the Project Manager). The Project Manager subsequently apologized for the scheduling problems but ultimately wouldn't return any of my calls. I called to advise I was initiating a billing dispute with the Office Manager since they charged my card as complete while the job was in process. The job was not completed as agreed upon, the workmanship is aesthetically unpleasing (the installer put a handicap handle in the master bath shower stall without my authorization) ... I specifically didn't have it mounted in the first shower; the handle comes included but doesn't have to be mounted so now that shower wall is unsightly), he didn't remove the floor molding from the vanities before making the cuts to the hardwood floor (and his cuts were short so there are visible gaps that were filled with caulking ... unsightly ... he should have removed the molding and made the floor cuts to the vanity and then remounted the molding), there is a metal bracket seam that is still exposed in the master bath, the shower doors were not installed properly with handle(s) to allow subject to exit the shower easily (and the fix for this is low end unacceptable answer to how the shower doors should have been installed, etc. I explained my dissatisfaction with the workmanship to both the Project Manager and Office Manager. They sent two other service technicians who are considered the (specialty fixers) who both confirmed the shower doors were not installed properly, confirmed the unsightly handicap handle, defective sink and that the installer should have removed the molding prior to installing/cutting the hardwood flooring. The original installer mounted one of the towel racks not level and the specialty fixer had to remount/level and one bathroom had a defective brand new sink (obvious pit in the porcelain which finally was replaced in December 2018 after numerous calls). The Project Manager Eduardo Anaya indicated the installer had personal problems yet kept him on my job. The Project Manager ultimately wouldn't take my calls, deal with the issues or return my calls. I was redirected to the Operations Supervisor Doreen Reyes who was sympathetic but not able to address the issues (she always listened but indicated she would have to pass along my action item concerns). The final insult was that they charged this job off as complete in September 2018 (even though the final toilet replacement was in December 2018) and then they charged the final $1,000 in March 2019 when they noticed the final charge in September was in error. I wouldn't want anyone to have the awful experience and workmanship I had to deal with. The subsequent specialty fixers told me their job is basically to fix the installer(s) problems (and this is their full time job with Pacific Coast Rebath). read more

If only I had to deal with the installers, all would be good. However, the office staff are completely incompetent. No return calls, charged my credit when they weren't supposed to throwing my account into overload, then when job done, never charged my account. When I called they told me charge was rejected. Of course it was because you used someone else's credit card! Duh!!!! Then when they finally used the correct card number, the charged double the amount and again threw my card into overload!!! I have never seen such unprofessional, incompetent staff in my life. But the installer was great, thus 2 stars for him!!! read more

We signed contract in February, 2018 for partial remodel of two bathrooms in single family home. Half of the total cost ($11,000) was required before job commenced. Estimated time for completion quoted as 10-12 weeks. We should have been skeptical about such a long time to do such a small job but we chose to go ahead with job. Completion should have been around end of April or mid-May. After several delays, work was completed on July 19th. In researching other contractors, we feel the job was way overpriced, down payment was over standard required, delays could have been avoided. Overall we feel cheated. The job was satisfactory, but I would not contract with them again, nor would I recommend Rebath to anyone. read more

After obtaining several quotes from local contractors, I opted to have PCR install a new tub, surround, and counter top in the guest bath, and a new shower/surround and counter top in the master.The convenience of having someone come to your home with sample materials is terrific - most contractors will tell you, "go pick out what you want at the local tile store and let me know when it's ready to install." Who has time for that? I wanted to keep some elements of the existing baths - flooring, vanity - and they accommodated my wishes with no problem. The materials are fabricated to order in their factory, which takes 8-10 weeks. Right on time, I was contacted to schedule installation. One minor delay of a day due to the previous job running over - again, better than you can expect from most contractors who have been known to reschedule multiple times, or start the job and then disappear. And the installation team - wow! I've never seen contractors work that hard! Mike, Santos, and Steve started early and worked into the evening. They cleaned up after themselves. Everything was fully installed in two days - amazing - and a big plus for someone like me who HATES having the house torn up for days on end. And did I mention that it looks GREAT? A far cry from tacky old tile and crumbling grout. The product is high quality - shower door is solid, heavy glass; units don't creak or sound hollow; fixtures are substantial. Mike suggested installing two small ceiling lights in the master shower (at minimal cost), and it made a HUGE difference. Love my new baths! Now I just have to get the rest of the house to look this good! read more

Our new shower and bath looks beautiful and great thanks to rebath management, Edwardo Anaya, excellent customer service in Oxnard rebath and for sending Mike Storm and Alex Zamudio to remodel the bathrooms. Both guys work was efficient, clean and precise. Everyone we contacted worked above and beyond to provide an excellent service. We weren't happy initially with our salesman who promised to deliver the products in 6-8 weeks and we arranged life accordingly. So the delays were frustrating and brought us unnecessary burden. However they delivered and installed the shower and bath in after 10 weeks. So the installers worked so very hard to get both bathrooms ready for us in time before Thanksgiving. My 4 day job turned in to 14 weeks ! Starting with the floor they had to do over and over because they never fixed the wood under the flooring . The shower head was installed on the wrong wall but I can get over that sense they installed a hand held on the far wall so you can turn the shower on without the water going out the shower door. The shower glass was the wrong size and had to be reordered 3 times . On 3rd try they just stuck a extra 3/4 wide strip to make it work. They broke a mirror that was 5'x 4 foot that they said they would replace with a bevel mirror after 5 weeks they sent one man to install a flat none beveled mirror that I had to help him install . They also never reinstalled the bathroom door they took off . They do have a great customer service gal who was trying her best to take of me I would give her 5 stares . read more

I was so pleased with how quickly the work was done at the time, and how professionally, that I recommended it to one of my friends a month ago. They had been concerned with how well it'd hold up, and how easily it would clean, and I reassured them that the surfaces were very durable and easy to clean. Be careful of their package deal, in our case they oversold their package to get us to sign the contract assuming it's all included. They would not give a breakdown because "it's all included in the package". Then they hit us later after we were locked in to their contract and deposits paid of what they will actually be doing. Be sure every detail is written on your contract. Be sure to ask many questions regarding their product, we were sold a floor to ceiling panel after they took our bathrooms measurements. They will say it was a mistake by their salesman, however we were resold the floor to ceiling panel again by our project manager the day we had to go in to their show room to change our order to a flat panel style to meet our high ceilings height. When they installed and they did not reach my ceilings I was told by our project manager it was because my ceilings were crooked ( hmm...exactly 2 inches on each side??). The truth is they sold us on a job that they could not complete due to the fact that they can only manufacturer panels to 105.5 inches and our ceilings are 2 inches higher than that. After delays, having to file a complaint with the Contractors State License Board and finally having a confirmation to start by Pacific Coast Re-Bath 2 days before our installation date they again tried to delay our job the day before. They ended up keeping the scheduled date, but did not show up that morning. We told them we would be canceling and getting a lawyer, however they came back to us after speaking to our Contractors Board claim representative with a 11.2% discount and a new contract agreement to have the job done in 3 working days, which wasn't finished in that time. The job was finished a month later due to the wall panels were installed incorrectly, they were bulging out in areas and had to be removed and reinstalled, They had to drop our ceiling panel lower to cover the gap, which completely changed the look that we were expecting. The final product, not what we originally were wanting and having scratches in it which one of the owners (who had a different title for each of the two times he came in to our home, never was I told he was a co-owner) told me he wasn't able to get the scratches out. However, the next day after being told in my home they were scratches, the office scheduler informed me that she understands the co-owner explained to me they were natural swirl scratches that are in their panels and there is nothing they can do about them. Hmmm, not the same conversation we had in our home and I didn't know natural swirls are straight lines and can be felt. After sending an email and speaking to Re-Bath corporate office customer service, they did offer us a 3.1% discount and an agreement to sign that I'm 100% satisfied and will not speak to anyone, including their corporate office or file a complaint. When I turned down the agreement and gave them full payment, they did come back with another offer of 6% and to remove the 100% satisfied and that I can only speak to their corporate office but can still not file a complaint or legal action would be taken against us at our cost. We did not accept this agreement either. I wasn't going to sign an agreement with them to not share my experience, because I feel that if my story helps even one person to not have to go through the 5 months of what we have with this company it's worth more than the discount. Someone can look at a picture of our shower and say you have a beautiful shower, but in that picture you cannot see the scratches or all the mistakes that were made along the way. Be sure to read all of their reviews with Yelp and Better Business Bureau. I usually try to give a company the benefit of the doubt, due to reviews can be exaggerated however in our case this company has lived up to their 1 star reviews. Now as I read their complaints and responses, even with the understanding of every case is different. It started out with the Sales Rep, Tom, who made all these wonder promises about how they would give me a complete new bathroom. And, that it should be done in 4 or 5 days (how convenient is it now that he doesn't work there anymore???). All they did was a half-ass job on the shower then left me hanging. Well SEVEN weeks later I finally fired ReBath and had my own contractors finish the job. I see some comments below and am happy some felt satisfied. Ours was the 'contactor horror' story. I thought as they were affiliated with Lowes it would be something I could count on - WRONG! Let me say first off I'm a VERY reasonable customer. I'm in the customer service business and understand you cannot make everyone happy all the time but I've NEVER handled a customer as my job was handled. This vendor MADE me present these comments. Keep in mind they promote "completing the job once started to completion". That did not happen for us. The installer Justin was great. The next finisher/painter was solid but the office scheduled him to another job as he was 3 days past completion at our job (I was OK with that and told him so as long as he just finished - did not know they'd yank him) and left some unclean work that needed further attention. We waited another full week for them to assign another guy. He was great and did an awesome job. The contract, office services, etc. - TERRIBLE! From July contract signing and my handing over $10K, job started Dec 14 -5 months!. It's now 2/2/21 and I've still not received light switch covers I said I'd put on myself just to get it done! Particularly at the start of the job they NEVER called me with any updates. I kept calling until I got 12/14 appt two weeks before from my pursuing them. The person answering the phone was always nice and would say, I'll have Doreen contact you - she NEVER did! Even when I would ask to wait they'd say she was in a meeting or on a call. She would never take my calls. I got a couple emails from her late in job but never when it mattered - just residual stuff. It was always me calling back then other staff would finally respond. In summary, guys doing job were good but management of the project was poor - cannot think of a lessor word. I've been trying to get the name of the owner to share because as a business owner I would want to know such things to improve upon... I would NEVER recommend this companies services. read more

I was referred to Pacific Coast Rebath by Home Depot and also checked them out here on Angie's List before I contracted them. I was hoping to avoid "contractor craziness", but, I'm sad to report, they been nothing short of HORRIFIC. I'll put that another way: TERRIBE, POORLY MANAGED, CONTRACTOR-LYING SACKS OF CRAP. Their salesman - Thom (with an "h"...yes, isn't it cute and funny and you can make a joke about it!) was all smiles and happy and salesmanship. I mentioned I didn't want to be without the bathroom for too long and he said that we could be looking at the last week of the next month to get started (though he later told me he was "purposefully vague" about the start date. Isn't that nice?) I'd done most of the tear-out, had the tile, vanity, sink, and fixtures picked out and on site, so I was mainly looking for install services. Signed the contract, gave them $1000 down (slightly more than 10%) and was told by Thom they'd call "within a week" to set-up an install date. I even let them know I was interested in redoing my master bath, which Thom with an "h" measured out. Then... Crickets. After not hearing from them for two weeks, I called them. I was asked by the receptionist if I was calling to make a second payment. No, I was looking for an install date. She asked again if I wanted to pay them more money. (Alarm bells started going off in my head. Really?!) No...I wanted an install date. This was the first sign something was off; it seemed like company policy to just start asking for MORE money upfront (which is, according to the California State Contractors' Licensing Board ILLEGAL.) Finally, after several minutes on hold, I get the brusk-sounding "office manager" who turns out to be some contractor ass-clown. "Look, I just got your folder this morning," he starts with (as if I care about how inefficient their office is.) "We can't be out until the end of November. Your contract says 8-12 weeks." Well, my contract clearly says "8 weeks" written there by Thom with an "h." I told him that was too long and maybe he could just return my deposit and I'd find somebody else. Then he really got all huffy and contractor bs-y: "Well, um, I don't wanna have to charge you a 20% restocking fee." Then he pawned me off back to the salesman, Thom with an "h." I didn't even get "hi, how are you sir?" or a "how can I help you today, sir?", or a "since we keep asking for more money maybe we could be considerate of our customers?" from this Neanderthal. Thom with an "h" calls. Blah, blah, more salesman-y talk: maybe if I made another payment they could move me "up on the list" (he actually left that message on my machine.) He said he knew they couldn't get it done in the 8 weeks on the original contract. Never any sorry; never any "customer is always right" treatment from this group. Nope. Just typical, worst kind of contractor behavior. Still fighting with them to get my deposit back because, well, they're HORRIBLE, MONEY-GRUBBING MORONS. Bottom line: NEVER use these guys, NEVER call these guys, NEVER trust these guys if they tell you the sky is blue. And NEVER, EVER trust a thing Thom with an "h" tells you. Get the word out far-and-wide: like that scene from Pulp Fiction, Pacific Coast Rebath will tie you up and SCREW YOU (and they won't even offer to lube you up unless you pay them more money down.) Don't be their Gimp. Follow-up: I'm filing a complaint with the State Contractors' Licensing Board, with the BBB, with Home Depot, and with everyone I can talk to, come in contact with on social media, and I might take out an ad in the local paper (hey, might as well get my $1000 worth since they refuse to give it back.) read more

Just finished our new shower today. Dustin did a superior installation. He arrived at the set time and explained the process throughly. The finished shower is more than I expected. The product is fantastic. I definitely recommend Pacific Coast Rebath! Ask for Dustin, he is great. Update 7/27/17 After original install we waited 48 hours to take our first shower to let everything cure. Bad water leak on to the bathroom floor from shower doors. We purchased the shower doors ourselves and had on site for Dustin to install. We did not want old shower doors reinstalled. Dustin started install on 6/9/17 Friday and finished on 6/13/17 Tuesday. We knew that it would take 2 days to complete and he would not be here on Monday. That was fine with us. Dustin finished after 5pm Tuesday. In my opinion he felt frustrated because the other tradesmen on other jobs on my house had left already. Dustin still had the door to assemble and install. In my opinion he rushed and did not assemble the doors properly as they leaked bad. I called Dustin and he told me that he couldn't come back to seal the doors for one week 6/21/17 Wednesday. I made the mistake to seal the door myself not knowing that in my opinion the door wasn't assemble properly to begin with so no mater what I did the door was going to leak. After trying twice to seal the door my wife got on the internet and looked at instructions online and found that not all the parts were used in the assembly of the door. So I called Dustin and Rebath to have them fix the problem. We ordered the missing parts and 7/13/17 Thursday 4 plus weeks later our shower was done. I am down grading my score from 5 stars to 3 due to in my opinion a frustrated installer Dustin. Still love the shower walls and shower base. I think the shower looks great! I always try to have an understanding before I have a misunderstanding. In my opinion I failed on this project thinking that this is what Rebath and Dustin due day in and day out. I had to wait till I calmed down to update this review so I could use less colorful language. read more

Nightmare! Requested quote. I was promised it would be done in a week. Five month and additional $7000 later still waiting. Most people in this company have no idea what they are doing. Everything they did had to be redone at lest twice. Simple removal of unwanted sink turn into disaster. Plumber didn't know what the pipe was for so he just blocked it. Because of that washing machine and AC started leaking. Another month passed until they opened the wall and fixed blocked pipe. Disappointed, frustrated, upset. Turned out beautiful!! We were sceptical setting the appointment but certainly glad we did. They want my husband to be there so which was inconvenient but they know what they are doing. I would have never been able to communicate all of the options that we never even thought of to my husband. The consultation was very informative and professional. We ended up waiting a long time for the installation, but well worth it. Our installers worked very hard and took good pride in their workmanship which is very rare these days.
