We bought a Frigidaire refrigerator in June. Asked for the door to open with hinges on the left. They wanted to charge us to change the door opening! We called two other stores who said they DO NOT charge. After saying we wanted to cancel the order, they honored our request. When the fridge came, it had two scratches on it. After the delivery men left, both doors made a hideous noise when closing! When the third repairman from Frigidaire came, he immediately solved the problem, verified the two scratches, and changed the timer that was bad. We were promised 10% credit for our problems. Today a 5% credit was posted to our account! We would not recommend WDC to purchase any appliance! Nothing but trouble! read more

I have been using WDC Kitchen and Bath Center for years now and have had a great experience in outfitting two kitchens and and laundry rooms with wonderful service and reasonable prices. But I really want to give a positive shout out to a recent experience I had with WDC last month. I live at the beach, and my Miele dishwasher that's about 5 years old hasn't had any issues whatsoever, except, from being at the beach, and a second home (not used everyday) over time a couple of the racks have deterriorated with some rusting issues. I ordered two new racks online from Miele before Christmas- they were pretty pricy. But they arrived in what I would call 'funky' condition, there were a couple of loose pieces that both myself, and my super handy husband could NOT figure out. I was sure Miele had sent us defective racks... but before I called them, I decided to take them into WDC hoping that someone there would tell me what was going on. I showed up at WDC on a slow weekday afternoon, because I knew this might take some time, and both Martez Houffen (Sales/Order Fulfillment) and Robert MacDowell (Store Manager/Sales) were a little perplexed with the racks well. At first. But, with EXCELLENT customer service, they took the time to see that the racks were assembled perfectly. Problem solved. WDC is my go to for all of my applicance needs! Whenever I get the WDC flyer in the mail about their "big sale" it's a reminder to share with other Ventura County residents our experiences. We made two major purchases from them since we moved to Oxnard, the first was for a Samsung refrigerator that they sold us a 3rd party warranty for. I am pretty sure the reason they don't sell you an extended warranty from the manufacturer (you will get an offer to buy one from the manufacturer if you register your purchase with them) is because they are NOT a Factory Authorized Dealer. I know more than a little about this as I worked for IBM Corporation for 32 plus years and held jobs in sales and sales management that also included managing the relationships with our business partners. There was and is always a fringe of what are called "gray" marketeers who buy factory seconds (defective and/or damaged products or factory returns. It's easy to spot when you walk in the door, there are dozens of manufacturers products on the floor, but delivery can be sketchy and you need to check the products out both in and out of the box. Our Samsung refrigerator was broken more than it worked, the third party warranty company was nationwide, but the actual repair was performed by companies that employed primarily men dressed in paramilitary clothing who spoke bad English and had obviously no formal training from the manufacturer. WDC would ask you call them first, but they were slow in placing our service call so I tracked down a number to the third party directly and eventually got referred to a manager in Dallas, TX who was a decent guy and promised that if our refrigerator broke one more time he would replace it. It did, he lived up to his word, and we got a check in the mail. Remember you are not me, I have thirty two years of training and experience working with a wide range of customers and I can be the last person you want calling you. Not too long after the purchase of the refrigerator we made a much bigger purchase that included: dishwasher, oven. hood and range top. I know, and yes, I didn't claim to always be smart. This time WDC sold us a different 3rd party warranty, Allstate, as in someone bought a piece of the Sear's empire out of a bankruptcy court. Here's a helpful hint, when you go into a WDC store ask to meet the General Manager or get a card from that person, it you do that's like the golden ticket from Willy Wonka. There is no such person, they are all random sales people and if you pursue it they will transfer you to their main location in Moorpark, it's also their HQ. The owner and manager does not live in California and is semi-retired, that is what they told me . The woman who answers the phone is a pit bull and called me a liar and threatened to call the police if I showed up at the door. So much for satisfaction guaranteed. Do yourself a favor and stay clear of WDC, you get what you pay for in this world and and they are bad news and you could end up with defective products that make your life a nightmare. read more

Two issues to avoid at all costs: do not purchase a Samsung refrigerator and by all means NEVER purchase the extended warranty through WDC. My five year old Samsung refrigerator stopped working properly in August'24. And when I say working properly I mean it shuts off entirely approximately twice a week. I learned my extended WDC warranty covered repairs into November'24 so I started a claim to get it fixed. The first company that came to my home said it needed a new compressor. The second company that came to my home said it needed a new control board. Neither of those companies followed through. A final confirmed repair appointment last week resulted in no one showing-up or calling. In between were emails demanding pre-payment of $140 before an appointment would be made. Finally, and out of sheer frustration, I closed the WDC repair order. I now have to find an independent repair person and pay out-of-pocket. Never, and I mean NEVER, purchase a Samsung refrigerator and NEVER get fooled into paying for WDC's extended warranty that was in my case wasted money, wasted time, spoiled food, and utter frustration. read more

Update: Every appliance I purchased three years ago with the exception of the washing machine has had to be repaired or replaced. Reminder : I purchased A WHOLE HOUSE worth of new appliances. The straw that broke the camel's back was the dryer crapped out and the repair guy said whoever repaired this before left off some screws. I said it's never been repaired before . Then He says well there's writing in the drum and screws are missing , whoever sold you this sold you a used appliance . I am beyond upset . This Co is not to be trusted go elsewhere to purchase your appliances . I spent many many thousands of dollar's at WDC just three years ago and I deeply regret it . read more

We love WDC. They helped us buy a nice front loading washer. We went back and purchased a top of the line range and a nice side-by-side refrigerator for our new remodel. And then we went back for a sink. What I like best about them is their very knowledgeable and helpful staff. Plus they are also willing to price match so we know we are getting really good deals. Mahmud and Jacob helped with our fridge and range. And Linda has helped with follow-up about our warranty. We recommend WDC to friends and neighbors. We came in on 11/29 to look at 48" under cabinet range hoods. No one asked us if we needed help. We watched as the salesmen just strolled by us on multiple occasions, several times to go great people who had just walked in. They made us feel like our business was not wanted. Apparently I'm not the only one who would give WDC's Customer Service a 0, if I could. I bought a Thermador double oven ($6500) 2 years ago and bought an Extended Warranty. I am completely frustrated with the ongoing issues regarding this oven. 4 months ago, in August I noticed the display panel was not functioning. Since then, the experience has been nothing but a huge debacle, with numerous delays and rescheduling from the warranty provider, Active Appliance. Waiting to get parts that were back-ordered, technicians not being able to understand why parts didn't work. To summarize: 1. I was not informed about the warranty or directed to customer service originally when I called and asked who repairs Thermador ovens. 2. The repair process has been delayed repeatedly, with reschedules and miscommunication about the warranty provider who I now understand WDC doesn't even use anymore. 3. Despite having a warranty ( and is just a few months past the year warranty) and waiting for weeks, my oven remains non-functional as of today, just days before Thanksgiving. I have sent an email, sent numerous texts to the number your Customer Service recommended and have called numerous times with no results. At this point I no longer have confidence in the functionality of the oven and I am asking that WDC take immediate action to resolve this. read more

BUYER BEWARE!!!! These people are CROOKS!!! If you value your money and your time, DO NOT EVER purchase anything from them. They are friendly and accomodating when you are in their showroom, but as soon as they have your money they are horrible. They charge you for an item, arrange a delivery, and that's where all hell breaks loose. IF AND WHEN they arrive, claiming that they have not included parts and try to upcharge you a ridiculous amount. They give you an arrival time, that is b.s. and you waste an entire day and they don't show up. If you call the store to find out what is going on, they lie and NEVER call back. They become rude and hostile and imply that the problem is on YOUR end. Disgusting people who charge a fortune for their appliances, and leave you hanging. If this was an unusual situation, and I was alone in my experience, I would probably give them the benefit of the doubt. Hello this is a previous customer more than once, the last time I purchased four kitchen appliances, a little more than five years ago upon delivery of those appliances the installers damaged my fairly new hardwood floor when I complained to the company they offered $200 off my bill saying that was their solution to the damage What I wanted was my floor fixed which may have cost a little more, but it involves physical labor to remove a bunch of pieces to get to the middle of the floor, where the damage was, they wouldn't bend on this so I didn't accept the $200 because that wasn't Right in my eyes now it's been over five years and my microwave quit working so before I buy a new one, I asked what they could do for me, knowing that my warranty expired also knowing that the last experience l had with them left a bad taste in my mouth. I talked to a manager a couple days ago explained my situation and that I wasn't expecting a replacement for free, but how it would be a good business practice or even gesture to waive the installation fee since they never took care of my damaged floor in the first place the manager said they would only be willing to waive half of the installation fee,($80)which to me was pretty much an insult so I will not purchase anything from this company anymore because I feel they don't stand behind what they sell. It wasn't an unreasonable request so I bought new microwave. At Lowe's for about 50 bucks less same model and I'm sure I have a friend or two that will help me put it in sometimes good business isn't about making a sale it's about doing what's right and they certainly didn't read more

Our in store experience was good and the sales person was very helpful. Unfortunately our side by side freezer and refrigerator came with handles that are mismatched. We tried to get a new handle for the refrigerator that is brushed stainless like the appliances, but have been continually told by a member of the customer service team that the handle we have is what is assigned to our appliance. So it seems like her solution is for our multi-thousand dollar side by side units to have completely different handles. There is another person in store trying to help now, but it seems so crazy that we can't just get what we need. We have been dealing with this issue since November and it is now almost February. read more

Giving a two star for customer service was fine. The delivery was not. My wife and I took off work to be here at said time. The delivers were late, there was no phone call and we called the store. They told us they were behind and they would arrive at 6:30pm. The drivers called to let us know its too late to install and ask if we would lkke to reschedule or have the appliances dropped off. We chose to have them dropped off. As soon as they got here I told them where to place the item and theh said ok. They then ask me how to get the appliances inside since my driveway was blocked. Our front gate was available but and a car in front of the walk way. There was a 5ft clearance enough room to go around the car, up the curb and through the gate. They refused to do it and said its too hard and then left. I am very frustrated at the situation. I spent 11,000 dollars and this was the kind of service I got. They did not apologize for being late, not being able to install or even working with us to try and figure out a better way. We ask if they could come Saturday and they said they were booked...this absolutely unacceptable and I would like my installation fees refunded to me. They were more concerned about getting out on a Friday night and not finishing the job they scheduled. This is not my fault and I feel like I am being punished for mismanagement of time. read more

I knew I'd regret not going with our usual supplier. So sure, we saved a few dollars on a bath reno. And yes there were some delays. That's expected. What wasn't expected was surprisingly poor service when it comes to the details. When the wrong item was ordered, it was months before the situation was rectified. Luckily no contractors were required to straighten things out that time. Recently, a part failed and we ordered a replacement. Not only was the wrong item ordered, the replacement item arrived seemingly from the bottom of a junk drawer and wrapped by a 5-yr-old -- plus it didn't match. The 3rd replacement was an identical non-matching item. After several weeks of ordering errors, the rep decided I was being unreasonable in wanting an identical item to replace the one originally purchased and installed. Rather than provide information about the original order (of course the part wasn't listed on the invoice) or offer alternative parts, they suggested we have the item remade by a random 3rd party at our cost. Creative? Yes. An utterly bizarre (and not incidentally creepy) waste of time? Also yes. Having worked with excellent plumbing suppliers over the years on larger projects, personally and professionally, I thought hey, these folks were recommended locally. Why not try them on something small? Service. That's why. Now we have a small mess on our hands that could turn bigger in a blink. Just glad clients weren't involved in this one. Love our new Over the Range Samsung Convection Microwave! We thought we wanted to replace our 10 yr old GE Profile Convection Microwave with the current model but we shopped around and couldn't find one! (Still having Covid supply chain issues?) But we found a sweet deal on this Samsung that does everything that the GE did and more. Scheduling installation was easy, Carl, George and Ralph appeared at the appointed time and finessed our new Over the Range Samsung Convection Microwave into place. I immediately heated leftovers. Next day I used the Convection bake feature to make Quinoa Egg Muffins. We found a new Convection Microwave and got it installed for what it would've cost for just the microwave at the other stores! read more

Wanting to replace our 16-year-old washing machine, and having purchased numerous major appliances from WDC over the years, I went to WDC in Oxnard on Friday, March 8, 2024. Salesman Ronald Mendez sold me a new Speed Queen TC5003WN unit which happened to be in stock, plus a matching dryer. The total price for the delivered set was nearly $3,200. Delivery was scheduled for the next day. The unit was delivered the next morning, and the installation went well. Everything was great until we used the machine for the first time. The drain pipe, which had worked well for all of the 37 years that we have owned this home, immediately overflowed during the spin cycle, making quite a mess. I immediately tried to call salesman Ron Mendez to ask for his advice, but only reached his voicemail. Later in the day I tried to call him again, but no luck. Both times I left messages asking him to call me back, but he never bothered to do so. So much for WDC's after-sale support. WDC was our go-to appliance store for over three decades, but no longer. read more

I recently bought a new double oven from WDC Oxnard. I baked a cake in the oven and there was overspill which I wiped up once the oven cooled down. I also immediately turned on the self cleaning and it removed the rest but left stains in the oven. I called GE and they sent out a service person who could not do anything and told me to call their warranty department. I called them and they informed me it was not covered because it was cosmetic. I then called WDC back and was put in touch with Marcella at their offices. She sent an email to their GE rep who also said it was not covered. Neither WDC nor GE would stand behind their products that they sell. I therefore will not be doing business with either one any more. I do want to mention that at least Marcella tried to help me but her hands were tied and obviously her boss does not care since they made the sale already. read more

TL;DR - ANOTHER COVID SUPPLY CHAIN STORY. One with a happy ending. We scoured the internet for a stainless steel version of a range that didn't exist anywhere except hundreds of miles away, at WDC. Would this be worth? Are they for real? Does it REALLY matter to have matching appliance colors? Am I crazy for even thinking about this? We live in the Bay Area and had never heard of them, so I thought I'd give them a quick call to see if it was a legit operation. To my surprise, not only is WDC a small chain in Socal, they also had 3 of the stoves we were looking for, and on sale! Our salesperson, Jacob P. was patient, helpful and very knowledgeable about not only the products, but also the supply chain issues for brands. We had a horrible experience NOT with WDC (Appliances Connection-and still are!) waiting for appliances that have been delayed; not only due to COVID/supply chain issues, but because of their errors. Deadlines kept moving promise after promise, wrong details day after day, etc. So I took to the web and we found WDC--I'm so glad we did! 2 weeks from my first call, we now have in our home an impossible to find in stock fridge/freezer combo. We recently moved from Rancho Cucamonga to Camarillo. We were shopping for an outdoor kitchen. When we entered the store we noticed 5 to 6 employees sitting in a circular area. One employee was assisting a customer. No one greeted us. No one acknowledged there were 2 new customers in their store. Two male employees continued their non-business conversation rather than attending to They must not need our business, so we left. If it takes a poor Yelp review and a manager to assist us, then it seems clear, at least to me, that this might be the norm for your store. Today is Wednesday. Charnelle at WDC told me yesterday to wait 24 hours to hear from a number in Moorpark. Freaking out on my timeline to move, called and spoke to Chuck. He understood and was very kind, said he'd follow thru with this and forward to Charnelle. Recd a call from her at 9:30 am. She was rude and dismissive to my husband. In turn he became upset and snapped back at her. He was very upset. Nothing was resolved, she reiterated we have to wait the 24 hours which is 3pm today. She actually told my husband that the licensed plumber we paid out of pocket "may have installed it incorrectly". No, he did not: the dishwasher has a hum- it's a defective component. So, I called back and spoke to her, asked why she'd been rude. She went off on me and accused me of being rude to Chuck. She hung up on me. WDC- you've got a customer service issue. Tuesday: After Lowes screwed up I ordered a dishwasher from WDC. Kameron was lovely. Everything seemed to be on target. Yesterday the dishwasher arrived - they wouldn't install it because we don't have a hole in the sink for an aerator- no problem. Got Conejo plumbing to install- good guy. Conejo Plumbing spent two hours. Guess what? WDC sent me a defective dishwasher. I paid this guy to install a defective dishwasher. What does WDC say? Wait for a call from Moorpark. Are you serious? I have ordered and paid for a dishwasher, paid for installation and they sent me a defective appliance. I am moving! I do not have time for this. Now they say I have to wait 24 hours for a call back to get a replacement. That doesn't include installation! What a cluster. WDC needs to get their act together and replace this dishwasher immediately . I am running out of time. Beware folks. read more

All the sales associates were busy but LINDA THE RECEPTIONIST was more than willing to help us out. She went above and beyond and started to help us look online through their inventory for availability and help with specifications we needed. Linda was kind, patient and thoughtful. I'm not going to drag this out with a dissertation of what occurred, but I will say that this was the worst experience I've ever had buying anything. Long story short: wife and I went in to buy $2,000 worth of kitchen fixtures. I know it's not a lot, but we ended up with only a $30 sink accessory. The other two main items (sink and faucet) had to be returned after 4 weeks of waiting. The sink was dented and not what we ordered. The faucet was also not what we ordered. We are still awaiting the refund of the $700 sink that I returned a week and a half ago. Also, not one apology for ANY of the mistakes. I will add the people there are nice.
