So if you're getting lumber it's in the back and you load your car with it. There should be a few people in the back on a busy day. When you're done with the wood, someone is usually watching you and they know when you're done usually. Or you can just let them know you're done and you want your form with the wood you got counted. Then you drive back out and park your car to pay inside. Then when you leave that parking lot, you give the guy in the shack your form and the receipt. Then he recounts your wood again. Then the little arm lifts up and you're out. You can rent a lot of tools inside but it's a bit expensive if you rent it for a long time. Might as well buy the tool and resell it on marketplace at that point. There's some drop in showers you can buy here. Also some sink options. There's a bathroom inside if you need to go. read more

They're very knowledgeable. I hadn't been there before. I didn't realize wood or lumbar yard is in back. You take 1st driveway on right on Crescent, off Johnson. Drive in back and tell Guys what you're looking for. You park right next to shelves of wood. Everyone was very helpful. I was given directions by clerk inside store. Then Employee walking into work, explained to me on his way in, that I needed to get in car, drive over to first driveway and then drive in back. 3 different Guys in back helped me. One even walked in front of my car to direct me from 2x2 wood in front to redwood 2x2. He was also one that directed me to other lumbar yard that does milling. You can't get that kind of attention and help at Big Box Stores! I need the board I'm replacing mitered on one end. They don't do that but directed me to, Builder's First Source. on Thompson l. They sell wood and do milling, so can cut it for me. But they're only open Monday to Sunday. read more

Stop by to check their inventory availability for entry doors, retrofit windows and patio French door sets. I stopped at the front desk to start a quotation for custom-made retrofit windows with special dimensions. Walking on the floor there was nobody around to answer my questions. It was a better experience marginally over the last time I visited. The prices seemed okay more or less in line with the competition. The only difference is they actually have an inventory on the floor standard sizes for retrofit windows. I give it three stars just because I didn't really have any problems this time but also nothing happened that impressed me. read more

Good prices and huge stock from building supplies to kitchen sinks. You do NOT need a contractor's license to shop here. My husband loves home projects and we are constantly stopping at Lowe's for plumbing or electrical or some darn thing. But sometimes, the only place that has what he is looking for, like a vanity for a bathroom remodel, or flooring trim, is at Contractors'. I've also called and asked for some oddball item, and they take the time to check and see if they have it in stock. They also walk you right to whatever nut or bolt you are looking for. This place is hard to find off of Johnson, and don't turn into the first gate with a guard for the lumber. Super disappointed. My contractor told me to pay a little more for the stone somewhere else and get the customer service. I did not listen. I am still waiting for the stone to come in...when I purchased the stone, the person told me , contractor could pickup the next day. When contractor got there they told him they had to order the stone, they were out of the corners. When purchased four boxes, I was told to pick up order next day. I showed worker wood that I needed, for another project. Worker suggested 2x4x6 it should have been 1x4x6. Cashiers and other employees are consistently rude, and not helpful. Just in again because I need a cabinet to finish my kitchen remodel or I wouldn't shop there. The manager was helpful, and got an employee to assist. After that, I received the same snotty look I always get when I go to their cashiers. They must hire from the same pool that the DMV uses. I walked into HD Supply with my 3 young children ( ages 2, 3 & 5) who were not on there best behavior at all this day. Rushing down the isles trying to get what I needed with all 3 of them on a cart crying & starting to get very loud. Pushing the cart up to the the registers and waiting in line to be helped one of the employees walked up to me and said, let me help you right over here on the last register. The woman that helped me was a Red head & extremely friendly & right away started talking to my kids and asked them if they could help her with a very important job and they calmed down and she gave each one of the kids a bag & proceeded to ring me up and would put the items in the bags and it gave the kids something to do while letting them think that they had a very big job to do and at the end she gave them each a receipt and told them how very important it was to keep the receipt and make sure that all the bags made it to the car safely. The kids were smiling and I was even smiling bigger and chuckling how she got them all to stop crying and made my experience at the store better then I had ever thought it would be. The customer service that I received was spectacular and I would highly recommend using HD Supply for there home improvement needs. I can't Thank the young lady for all her help that day and I wish I would have gotten her name but I can say the young lady with the Red hair is extremely helpful and her Customer Service and professionalism is excellent! This place is a joke. I don't have high expectations for a hardware store and ordinarily wouldn't complain about less than perfect customer service, but after 3 horrible experiences I've learned that this place is completely devoid of customer service PERIOD! My first two experiences were with the rental department both times the same guy lacked communication skills and the second time charged me full price for a broken piece of equipment. This evening I called before going to see if they had filled sandbags. He assured me they did. I head over and ask where the sandbags are. He tells me I have to drive behind the store for them. He consults with another employee and tells me they don't have any. Turns out he was the supervisor and the same guy I spoke to on the phone. I live a few blocks away so it's location is convenient, but I will never spend another dime in this place. read more

"Ozzy" helped me pick and purchase everything I needed to remodel my restroom. I was really dreading to do it all by myself but thanks to "Ozzy" I didn't stress at all. What a joke spent over 1,000.00 here with an acct and I go to return 20.00 dollars of cement an they tell me if I don't have a receipt I have to get store credit!! Really I say as she is looking at my receipt on there computer if I don't have it with me I can't have it put back on my card? The manger lady says nope with an attitude. Went to HD Supply to order 6 windows for my remodel. I got quotes from everywhere including my contractor's "guy" who was $1,000 more than HD supply. Definitely the best price for Milgard. Talk to Luis De La Fuente. He is an expert. Because of him I ordered the right windows and felt comfortable with the whole process. I know nothing about windows! He helped me more than my contractor. They had no problem picking them up. They arrived ahead of schedule and called me as soon as they came in. I got the Milgard Tuscany line which is a step up from the basic and they are amazing! My friend's wife is an attorney who handles a lot of window lawsuits and she says Milgard is one of the safest. They already have a great reputation but I thought I would add that. We have been doing some major backyard improvements. HD is only down the street from where we live. Hands down, best customer service. The employees remember you, they are always helpful and happy. I gave gone back at least 3 times in one day for 80lb cement bags and Steve on the forklift helped me every single time. So I came back here to buy a bathroom vanity, cabinet, sinks, and tons of tiles. There is a good supply of inventory here. If they don't have it, they'll accommodate and order it for you if possible. Once again, the entire staff was awesome. Everyone asked me if I needed assistance and they were helpful. If you go and need help designing a bathroom, deciding which tiles to choose, etc., I highly recommend Ozzy. This dude is very knowledgeable, can visualize different patterns and designs, and is flat out chill as well. I would have given four stars, because five should be reserved for really stellar experiences. But those who gave one or two stars are perhaps misunderstanding what a business like HD supply is--a contractor-focused store with a specialty in stock (i.e. not custom) cabinetry. The prices are good and the cabinet stock, from white foil finishes to solid hardwood, is pretty broad. They also have good granite and other surfaces in stock, along with sinks and basic tools/supplies. They don't cut granite or other countertop material, but may have broken pieces available for smaller jobs at a really good price. I've shopped there a couple of times, once without finding what I wanted and the second time, knowing what they carry, getting just what I wanted--a cheap white cabinet for the laundry room and a very nice solid maple-front linen cabinet. For a contractor store, they treat homeowner handypersons well. They deliver, usually next day, for a decent price. The linen cabinet looks like pieces I saw online for hundreds of dollars more, though it cost me a couple of hours of assembly. HD is a local source with lots of stock and salespeople who understand what they sell. As a home handyperson, I'm happy it's there and that the salespeople will take the time to educate me. read more

Came in with my wife right before closing to get some kitchen cabinets. The whole staff was really helpful getting us what we needed. We needed to get some down from the rafters too. We needed some more items and Ozzy and his team got us brand new pieces still in plastic. Ozzy helped us load all the cabinets and noticed we got some wrong size filler pieces. Decided to check this place out recently as I was searching for a type of stone for a fireplace surround and slabs for kitchen counters. I was hopeful going in, because someone recommended them as having a lot of choices at really good prices. Granted, the prices on everything there were really impressive, but in general it seemed like they were all brands I had never heard of (maybe their own brand?), and the quality of stuff seemed a little on the low side. I did notice a few good quality things here and there at amazing prices (mostly some of the normally expensive brand name entry doors), but overall I didn't see much that I felt it would be worth the risk buying... I can't attest to the quality of the kitchen counters, but I do have to admit they were really well priced and seemed to be pretty decent. read more
