My mother and I came here to find paint samples for the inside of her house. Deja was so patient and helpful! She helped us find multiple color combinations for the living room and educated us on what colors work best for different rooms. Best customer service! We didn't get a chance to interact with other staff but they all appeared happy to be helping the other customers in the store. read more

Went there recently and was a little disappointed with the customer service. First day spoke with Manny and asked him questions about color matching and he made me feel like I was bothering him. Came back another day to try again and was told by Lizbeth that there were 4 people ahead of me for color matching and to come back in 3 hrs. Three hours to do 4 color matches? Again not treated very well. Happy with the product but next time will go somewhere where I'm treated a little better. read more

The time was 2:30 p when I walked in, and later I learned that is was extraordinary that I had a gallon of paint custom tinted for me. Usually they're so busy at that hour, it might be a next day pickup. Fortunately you can pick a color and call it in. But the customer service inside this store is worth while consulting. How it works if you never did it: you choose a color, a paint that gives you the finish needed and they mix it up. First the color: I would have chosen too dark of my original blue. The lady in that section gave me perfect advice. Picture below. Next the gentleman on the desk: in charge, great eye contact, attentive. I waited my turn; placed my order for a gallon of paint to be tinted. What's fun is seeing interactions between staff, customers, one another. Lady the gentleman mixing the paint! Their exterior black paint BUBBLES since they have change their formula. They do not stand by their product. The know of the problem, even posting flyers in the store with a supposedly a solution, which the paint contractor followed and it still bubbled. If you are going with a dark color on your exterior. USE A DIFFERENT BRAND. read more

My wife and I went to Dunn Edwards to pick swatches of paint for the outside of the house. she waited to go inside because there was a sign up as you go to the entrance doors that explicitly express that they do not want more than five people in the store at a time and that only one person allowed from the parties to come in. She was told to go inside and she proceeded to go over to the wall with the paint colors. I was putting on my mask and got to the outside front door when a family of 4 didn't read the signs and did not stop, they just went in to the store where my wife was positioned at the swatches for color. No one at the counter or anywhere in the store asked the whole family to stop before they came in and they immediately went over to where my wife was. It was an unpleasant experience that could've been handled at the front door if they had just asked the family to stay and wait while they situated things. not happy with the staff that applied no safeguards to anybody else in the store as I stood there and watched the entire family just walk in. I called to my wife from the outside of the store, as the doors were open, to come out of the store. We left and I proceeded to call the store and told them I was not happy with the manner that they had handled the situation. Although I got an apology all the person on the other side of the line wanted to do was to get off the phone. needless to say I will not buy paint from this particular Dunn Edwards, it was a very unpleasant experience And if next time, we experience the store's associates not managing their own policies of COVID-19 that they have at the front door, needless to say they've lost a $2000 sale for paint for the outside of my home. read more

I know nothing about paint, but needed to go to this store on two different occasions to buy paint for jobs at my home. I found the staff there to be very knowledgeable, helpful and courteous. I would highly recommend this store for all your painting needs. read more

Had to go here today and get a gallon of paint because my HOA requires it. It's the second time I have gone here and my experience was similar. Gave my order for the paint color and paid for it, which went mostly okay although the cashier was not the most pleasant. He made me feel like I was adding to his work. Tells me that they'll bring my paint out to my car in 15-20 minutes so off to my car I go. After over 30 minutes no paint, I go I. And ask where my paint is. The cashier who rang me up and another person went to the back. 5 minutes later the second person brings my paint out. I ask her if it's common to take over 35 minutes to get a gallon of paint. She just shrugs her shoulder and goes back. Oh well, glad I can go to many other places to buy he rest of my painting supplies instead of here read more

Have to give these guys a 5 STAR rating, went into the store with no clue as to WTH we were looking for lol . An employee named James (manager?)was incredible. He was super helpful and knowledgeable. professional and it really showed that he loves his job. Today we came back to the store to ask and pick a couple more colors, we asked for James, as we had dealt with him the day before, an employee told us James was just heading out the door (off work) he noticed us a the front of the store, he turned around and ended up helping us once again. The guys and ladies at this particular Dunn Edwards location are providing 'can-do' service the way the normal, really good paint stores used to. Staff gets FIVE (5) STARS. The facility and it seems current Dunn Edwards system that they have to work with relative to matching old D. E. colors could use some updating and organizing at the home office. The exterior of this paint store ironically needs to be painted too. Again, wonderful store overall, excellent timely service by the team there. read more

First off let me say I rarely give establishments bad reviews. However in this case, I think they really deserve it! I use to come here a lot and spent plenty of money. Needless to say, they lost my business! My wife and I came here to shop for exterior paint for our home. When we walked in we weren't greeted, even though the lady at the cash register who didn't have a customer looked at us. The Guy on the floor who I'm guessing was the supervisor also looked at us without saying anything or asking if we needed any assistance. Needless to say we left after 8 minutes. I would be most understanding if it were busy but we were the only customers on the floor. We will not be returning to Dunn Edwards!!! And I'll be sure to tell my family and friends the same! read more

My husband and I went her July 5. We needed paint matched from a wall sample in the house. We were the only people in the store. It took over 30 minutes for then to make the paint. Then we needed a stir stick. Can you believe we were told they were up. Seems pretty sad when a giant store dedicated to painting runs out of such an essential item. I even asked the clerk if he was sure there were none stocked in the back, to which he replied "I'm sure." Additionally, I asked for the AAA discount and he replied "We don't do that." I'll stick to the Northridge Dunn Edwards...much better service. They never run out out stir sticks and can always fill your order quickly, with the discount. read more

Also little known about service to have color consultant come to your home to help With interior and/or exterior suggestions and choices. This is VERY helpful if you are someone who needs color consultation and actual color choices in you home. I used Dunn Edwards in 1999 to paint the interior and exterior of my house. The quality is great. I'm re-doing my bathroom, so, of course, they were the first place I thought of. Got some samples for painting my room from this Dunn Edwards as well as returning to buy all of my painting supplies from here. They had kind staff who could answer my first time painter questions with insight! Another great thing was they had an awesome summer sale on almost everything in the store and I bought everything I needed to paint my bedroom (aside from the paint) for $26! I want to especially give a shout out to the employee Sierra who gave me a great deal on my paint samples simply because she thought I was a "kind young lady" which was just so so sweet of her. I only tick off one star because I noticed there didn't seem to be enough staff to help those waiting at tables probably to discuss painterly things.. not sure how to put it but it seemed understaffed at times, but other than that great service & prices for supplies, they have everything you need! Their paint is a bit higher end when it comes to price but I wouldn't doubt the quality of it at all :^)! read more

Stay away from this shop. The paint quality is lousy -- it took 3 coats to cover their interior primer and their prices are expensive. I renovate houses for a living and asked for the best discount. After spending $1100 on interior paint they said, "hey, you should sign up for a professional account to get better discounts" but of course now no one will respond to my request for the discount. They're a bunch of salesmen trying to get your money. Bad product. Not the kind of shop I like to do business with. read more

I decided on colors for my condo by choosing from paint chips presented to me by the painter who I hired. Although I am not new to re-decorating an apartment and working with color, I was surprised at how different the color looked once applied to the walls. I compared the chips to the painted walls and perceived a discrepancy. Further attempts to select color with Dunn Edwards paint chips proved difficult. Furthermore, the semi gloss has a lower sheen then semi-gloss finishes that I am accustomed to using and was disappointed with the Dunn Edwards paint for this reason. As I was already committed to my painter and had a deadline to finish the job, we used the Dunn Edwards paint, hoping that it at least will hold up over time, but its safe to say that I will avoid using Dunn Edwards on my future projects. read more
