Porcelain slabs? Too darn bad. You can LOOK at samples of the beautiful porcelain slabs in the Oxnard store. Most are 10 ' tall by 5' wide. You can PAY for the slabs in the Oxnard store. But they are stored in Carson,, 65 miles away, a 2 hour drive each way. Can they be delivered to the Oxnard store, where you saw and payed for them? NO There are 2 Delivery options : 1) Floor and Decor will only deliver them to your house. Direct quotes from JJ, the Designer with blue hair : "Delivery will double your price". and "Don't be surprised if they deliver you a pile of tile dust". Also, who bears the risk of this careless delivery? ME, THE CUSTOMER. 2) My tile contractors waste 5 hours to get the slabs here. The blue-haired JJ: "Because they will be more careful with it". Who bears the risk of this delivery? ME, THE CUSTOMER. So many questions. Why are the Floor and Decor delivery team so careless with a PREPAID order? Why am I paying double, yet the delivery risk is all MIne? Why is the Oxnard.store selling something they can not deliver? When I said "I'm out". Beware of False Marketing Claims - Avoid Floor & Decor Floor & Decor makes bold claims about product quality but refuses to stand by them when issues arise. Their D- rating and 1.3-star review on the Better Business Bureau (BBB) speak for themselves--countless customers have faced the same unwillingness to accept responsibility for subpar products that fail to meet advertised standards. I purchased Optimax Sapelo Shore planks specifically for their advertised "durability," a claim made by sales staff, packaging, and in-store comparison displays. However, after installation, I quickly realized the flooring was nowhere near as durable as promised. When I contacted Floor & Decor, they denied my claim outright because I had already accepted and installed the product--completely disregarding the fact that durability is something you can only assess after installation. Spending thousands of dollars on flooring marketed for its resilience, only to have it dent and scratch from something as minor as a dropped pen or TV remote, is unacceptable. Yet Floor & Decor refuses to take any responsibility for their deceptive marketing. Perhaps the most telling sign of their poor product quality is the store's own display model. When I first purchased my flooring in October, the display looked intact. Now, just a few months later, that same model--installed and mounted by Floor & Decor--is visibly falling apart. Keep in mind, this display isn't even exposed to foot traffic or daily wear, yet it's breaking down just like mine. If their so-called "scratch-, dent-, and gouge-resistant" flooring can't even hold up on a display, how can they expect customers to believe in its durability? The employees here don't know what they are doing. My husband and I went to order our materials for our home renovation. And all the employees we spoke to each told us different things were either in stock or not. But they didn't agree what was in stock or not. They all looked at the systems and it seemed like they had no idea how to read their systems cuz they couldnt figure it out. It was very confusing. In the end we placed the order because the financing deal was hard to pass up, but we ended up getting called about something completely different not being in stock, which now puts our renovations behind schedule. Really the employees need more training in learning how to read what's in stock and what's not. read more

Thank you Store Manager Yarden for confirming that Floor and Decor Warranty does not honor durability claims made by in store salesmen and marketing materials in store and on product. It is very important for your customers to understand that the claims made are entirely false and do not exist in reality. I purchased flooring solely due to its "Extreme Durability Flooring" , yet it can easily be scratched by dropping a tv remote or silverware. My flooring was no where near any of the claims made by Floor and Decor, yet they still deny any and all responsibility for their intentionally deceptive marketing. Management is rude and entirely unwilling to acknowledge their deceptive selling practices, don't get scammed by these con artists. The staff could not honor their own advertised deals, and when I asked them to honor their word, instead of taking accountability for their mistakes made by their own reps, they turned it around and called me rude. Good customer service is about owning mistakes and making things right. And it was so easy to make it right. Im shocked at how unprofessional and dismissive the interaction was. I'm always surprised that companies would rather spend more on marketing than treating existing customers well. We are doing a complete remodel of our house and find the prices and selection at floor & decor very good compared to the big box stores like HD and Lowe's. We have used them for tile for all three of our bathroom remodels. Everyone in the store is helpful and the design team feature is really nice as they can sometimes suggest combos you wouldn't necessarily have thought of. They also take returns on the unused tile for 90 days which is great. Will definitely continue to use them for home improvements! read more

Worst customer service. If you can get past the lazy, non verbal and sarcastic women with purple hair. You deal with a manager that has no skills what so ever. They act like they are doing you a favor for taking back product and make every excuse about your returns. This is a great place. Located across from Costco in Oxnard, easy to find and plenty of parking. First off they have a lot of people to help you on the floor, but if you prefer to browse and be left alone they are cool with that too. We went one day and made our notes came back home took measurements and came back the following day and we were lucky enough to meet Roxanne. We are remodeling a bathroom, this is the fourth one we've done and I have to say working with Roxanne just made the process a whole lot easier. Wow! I came in with a list that our contractor helped me to make and Roxanne guided us to every item we needed, had lots of helpful suggestions and knows the process of rebuilding a shower down To all the little trim pieces. We settled on a Carrera marble tile for our shower which was beautiful and had an excellent price. They have a huge warehouse with so many options it's like Disneyland for adults. Ceramic, porcelain, granite, marble, glass tiles as well flooring options and a few vanities. Plus they have little floor model set-ups of baths and kitchens for inspiration. I honestly feel like Roxanne put the whole thing together for us which is something I usually have to do and calculate all the math which I hate. And when we were done picking everything out we sat down and she brought us a print out of everything to go over to make sure we had all the numbers right and the exact items that we had chosen. Honestly we have two more projects ahead of us and we will definitely be going back to Floor and Decor to assist us on those as well. So much easier than going to Home Depot or Lowe's. What a disappointment! I never write reviews but this one needed to be written because Floor and Decor needs to retrain their employees on customer service. From the beginning when we stepped foot in the store, the staff at the Oxnard location were just standing around, there was no "Hi, can we help you?" They were not even doing anything. So until I actually asked where the vanities are located they just pointed it out saying it's in the "back on the right." How vague is that direction? There was not an ounce of initiative to even want to help. Their vanities were okay and we finally found something decent. Also, don't be fooled, the vanities are not as durable as it seems online. We asked the front how to purchase a vanity and they pointed to the direction of the customer service area. Edith the rep was rude and grouchy until I had asked for her name. Then she softened up a bit. When our contractor picked up the vanity he said it was damaged. So we had asked if they can order a new one and when the new one arrived it was worst than the first one. They pulled out other vanities of the same style and our contractor said they were all bad. F and D gave us the option for a 10% discount and our contractor had said that it would cost more than 10% to fix the vanity so we decided to get a refund. When my husband called the number to get a refund they were not helpful at all and had to explain that all the vanities they had showed us were damaged. I'm not trying to complain just to be rude; but hopefully this will narrative of my experience will help improve F& D customer service and products for other customers out there. Tried to exchange an opened, but unused tub of premixed grout because the wrong color got picked up, but manager James refused to let us exchange. In fact, he wouldn't even come up to the front to discuss. Moises and another employee were down to let us exchange, but they had to ask James over the walkie. Soooooo, looks like we've find another place that's not going to penalize us $50 for an honest mistake all in the name of maintaining the corporate cash box. Rob at floor and decor is an absolute amazing employee and provided superior service. He clearly knew what he was doing and he got the job done efficiently. Kenneth at floor and decor is an excellent employee as well. He was nice and kind and was willing to help when other people just walked away. Specifically, I asked a gentlemen in a red polo and another gentlemen in a green vest for assistance and they literally just walked away without assisting me... and the store was not busy at all. Anthony was the first person to ask me if I needed help and assist me. I was so happy that someone finally was available. Most importantly, during the loading process, Rob and Kenneth got the job done and didn't just walk away, like others did. Rob should be the manager. I was there today and if Rob was not at this location today, I can say with 100% certainty that I would have returned my order and been VERY unhappy. I was frustrated, and confused during the entire loading process Until I was assisted by Rob. Rob just simply did his job and was not mean!! He did his job in under 15 mins and had me out of the store quickly and my tiles out safely. My tiles are perfect and without Rob's help, I would have returned my order and walked out. JJ appreciation post! This store has the greatest selection and was a one stop shop for our bathroom remodel. Everyone here seemed very helpful but JJ was OUTSTANDING. She is so knowledgeable and really helped to guide us in making the right choices for tile. Exactly what we needed as choosing tile can be very overwhelming. We subsequently were helped out by "Michelle". Michelle was so helpful taking the time to assist us with showing us what the tile would look like on their computer program. *Update* I emailed back and forth with corporate and then James called us again for an 'apology.' James was unable to provide any reasonable explanation for why he sent us an invoice for double the amount we was quoted for by Maeve ($238) for white-glove. He just said that's the cost of transport. I guess transport doubled in a few hours? He couldn't explain why they couldn't invoice us the first time which caused us to be on the phone with the e-commerce line for close to an hour. If he's the best Floor and Decor has, they need to hire better people. *Original Review* Dealing with the Oxnard store has to be one of the worst customer experiences I have had to go through over the past decade. This includes experiences in Asia and Europe which usually don't have as high customer service standards as the US. We visited the store many times over the space of a few months, had a design consultation, etc. and chose our tiles. We put in the online order as we were too buys to drive to Oxnard (order number 04867580) and spoke to a customer service representative, Maeve (, who told me that putting the tiles into the garage (listed as 1st threshold on their site) would be an extra $238 for white glove service and we would need to contact the main customer service line to pay. We spent an hour on the phone with the main office as Oxnard hadn't provided them with information on the fee. We then got a nice person as head office, Trey, who spoke to his manager, spoke to Oxnard and confirmed that 1st threshold, did not in fact require an extra fee as the garage was next to the drop-off location. After about 30 minutes, I got a call from the Oxnard branch with a 'manager' called James on the line. He was pretty angry and telling me that I had to in fact pay the extra fee, that head office shouldn't have made that call, etc. Even though they spoke to Oxnard. He then gave us some nonsensical story about how 1st threshold doesn't mean anything and the only option was white glove and the truck driver wouldn't do 1st threshold, etc. I say nonsensical because 1st threshold is clearly listed on the website. What was odd was that he was angry at us, even though we had literally tried to pay Floor and Decor three times for this extra fee. James then sent us an invoice for $536, more than double what Maeve told us and that we tried to pay to the head office. If it wasn't from the customer care email, I would have thought it was a scam email. In fact, given our previous interactions with James, it still seems like a scam email since the amount was not the previously quoted amount and more than double that. I ended up canceling the order and going to Simi Valley Tile and Marble. Friendly customer service and in and out in about 45 minutes and the owner said he would drop the tiles off in our garage for a nominal fee. Floor and Decor lost around a 5k sale because of James' incompetence and duplicity (check the other poor reviews to see his name coming up multiple times). Don't do business with Oxnard, you'll be sorely disappointed. read more
