*Update* I emailed back and forth with corporate and then James called us again for an 'apology.' James was unable to provide any reasonable explanation for why he sent us an invoice for double the amount we was quoted for by Maeve ($238) for white-glove. He just said that's the cost of transport. I guess transport doubled in a few hours? He couldn't explain why they couldn't invoice us the first time which caused us to be on the phone with the e-commerce line for close to an hour. If he's the best Floor and Decor has, they need to hire better people. *Original Review* Dealing with the Oxnard store has to be one of the worst customer experiences I have had to go through over the past decade. This includes experiences in Asia and Europe which usually don't have as high customer service standards as the US. We visited the store many times over the space of a few months, had a design consultation, etc. and chose our tiles. We put in the online order as we were too buys to drive to Oxnard (order number 04867580) and spoke to a customer service representative, Maeve (, who told me that putting the tiles into the garage (listed as 1st threshold on their site) would be an extra $238 for white glove service and we would need to contact the main customer service line to pay. We spent an hour on the phone with the main office as Oxnard hadn't provided them with information on the fee. We then got a nice person as head office, Trey, who spoke to his manager, spoke to Oxnard and confirmed that 1st threshold, did not in fact require an extra fee as the garage was next to the drop-off location. After about 30 minutes, I got a call from the Oxnard branch with a 'manager' called James on the line. He was pretty angry and telling me that I had to in fact pay the extra fee, that head office shouldn't have made that call, etc. Even though they spoke to Oxnard. He then gave us some nonsensical story about how 1st threshold doesn't mean anything and the only option was white glove and the truck driver wouldn't do 1st threshold, etc. I say nonsensical because 1st threshold is clearly listed on the website. What was odd was that he was angry at us, even though we had literally tried to pay Floor and Decor three times for this extra fee. James then sent us an invoice for $536, more than double what Maeve told us and that we tried to pay to the head office. If it wasn't from the customer care email, I would have thought it was a scam email. In fact, given our previous interactions with James, it still seems like a scam email since the amount was not the previously quoted amount and more than double that. I ended up canceling the order and going to Simi Valley Tile and Marble. Friendly customer service and in and out in about 45 minutes and the owner said he would drop the tiles off in our garage for a nominal fee. Floor and Decor lost around a 5k sale because of James' incompetence and duplicity (check the other poor reviews to see his name coming up multiple times). Don't do business with Oxnard, you'll be sorely disappointed. read more

Big selection that's unmatched in the area. Unfortunately the staff, while very friendly, are not very educated in their products and locations of certain things in the store. Little frustrating, but if you have time, you can figure it out on your own. Don't bother with the website, It not complete. There is more product in stores than on website read more

We recently moved to Simi Valley and planning to remodel the bathrooms of the new home. To find tiles for bathroom walls and floors, we visited many tile stores. The Oxnard Floor and Decor by far has the best selection and services. The store is huge so it has a large inventory. We were there twice and both times were greeted by very helpful associates. Ken and Spencer were the two associates followed us around and helped us picked out the right items for our variety of needs. The store manager was very accommodating when we could not pick up the tiles at the 2 weeks free holding period. The various cashiers were courteous and helpful. As soon as we arrived and asked for help, they paged someone to help us immediately. Before we went to the store in Oxnard, we went to the Woodland Hills stores several times. Every time we were at Woodland Hills, we had to search hard for someone to help us. Since it is the same distance for us to travel to either store, we will only be going to the Oxnard stores to get the much higher quality service. read more

JJ, a designer at Floor & Decor Oxnard, saved my shower remodel project! I was short just a few tiles and the tile has since been discontinued. I had called several different stores throughout the country, whose computers showed the tile in stock, and was told they were out after a visual check. JJ suggested that I talk to Pro Services instead of Customer Service and lo and behold, the tile was found at the Las Vegas store! Thanks to JJ, my project was completed as originally intended. They where conducting inventory and a Pro Premier Manager attended to our needs even as the store was officially closed since we drove for 1.5 hours. I had the best experience in the Oxnard store. The employee that helped me named Cyriah was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. She helped me pick out my shower tile, accent tiles as well as trim. She made sure I had all the necessary items (grout, trowel etc) I would need to complete the project. She suggested I get an extra box of tile in case there was an issue and I could return whatever I didn't need. When I went to pick up the tile she was there, she recognized me and again gave me the full service. I can't say enough nice and good things about her. This 5 star particularly goes to Brandy, who is actually from Floor & Decor Mission Viejo location and was working in Oxnard location when we visited it last Friday. I had lots of complications with delivery from ordering online on 330 pc of marble tiles. Brandy helped us resolved all the problems for that day. She is not only so knowledgeable about their products and work around store systems to get our refund right away, but also great on helping calculating how much weight of the tiles and how it should be loaded to my small Honda Fit. She even helped loaded all 22 boxes of the tiles herself! Deciding to redo my shower and tub/shower combo was a major decision and one I thought long and hard about. I went to Floor & Decor in Oxnard and, to be honest, was COMPLETELY OVERWHELMED with how MUCH there was to look at. After visiting at least twice, I bit the bullet and signed up for a free consultation. JJ was AWESOME! I can't say enough good things about her! She helped me narrow down my choices, told me what would and would not look good, while also listening to what I wanted. It took me a couple more weeks before hiring a contractor and then I returned and she helped me AGAIN. I am very particular and she patiently went through grouts with me to make sure everything would look perfect. I am SO PLEASED with the end result of my two bathrooms-- delighted with the tile choices from Floor & Decor and want JJ to know how very much I appreciated all her help. They sold me the worst marble that was pitted with jokes and glue on it . It cost me money to get it picked up snd returned . It held me up on my job . A manager was supposed to call me and he did call once and said he would call me back after he looked into my complaint and never did . This business is not ready for prime time and no customer service. Management is non existent!!! They me as a customer and I renovate homes . I went to Floor & Decor to look for some backsplash tiles. I had never been inside the store before. And I was blown away by the selection. You literally do not have to go anywhere else, if you are renovating a bathroom or a kitchen as far as tiles and flooring, they have every option you can think of. And, the sales associate Roxane was beyond helpful. Very warm, welcoming, good attitude, helped bring the tiles down and put them in the shopping cart, and helped me put them in my car. If I could give them no star I would. I went to Woodland Hills location and San Gabriel to pick up tile I ordered to complete my project. San Gabriel employees were very nice and helpful. 5 of my tiles were broken after pick up so I went back to get more they didn't have any. The Woodland Hills store called Oxnard to be sure they have them in stock they said yes. I called, I verified to be sure they had tile on in stock/floor, they confirmed and send me invoice to pay. I paid. Few days later I called to let them know I will be there to pick my order, they said they didn't have any in stock. I was shocked. After trying to understand I asked for manger Jesus, he was very rude. Said it was there fault for not pulling the product off the floor when purchased. But he didn't seem he cared and that the shipment was not going to come in until end of September. said best he can do is to refund me. Well you see that doesn't help me because I started installing the tile. He didn't offer to see if other stores had it I asked him to check and he wasn't making any effort to help correct the mistake the store made. So what do I do now!!! will never recommend or buy products from them. Very unorganized. No countability on there part. read more

She noticed that I was wavering with a decision for my bathroom remodels and she just stepped and asked how she could help. She found me all the things I needed to match my floor and shower tiles. Horrible Management and service! Today I went to pick up materials for a customer. The same customer that I've been working for made several purchases online. Every time I went to the store I saw the same employee Which at first was very nice.... But today was different While my truck was halfway loaded with materials I was asked for my ID which I had no problem showing. But they want to take it inside So they can punch my drivers license number in the computer.!? Why??? I asked You know me I have a pro account But now you want my drivers license number to pick up an online order!?!? I said I don't feel comfortable with that. So they completely removed all the material from my truck And told my customer Either I provide my drivers license number Or they have to wait 5 days and pay $500 for 600ft of flooring to be delivered 15 miles away!
