I didn't intend to buy anything but then my sister pointed out a set of coffee mugs with elephants. The price was decent so I decided to buy them. I'll not be actually using them, they will be added to my elephant mug collection. I did look at comforters and bed sheets but the fibers used were not listed anywhere on the packaging. The store at Tamarac remains very dirty, there are shoes and clothes thrown all over the floor. The shopping carts are filthy dirty, the entrance to the store has leaves and debris. Something needs to be done to clean and maintain some form of cleanliness. Although i live in Tamarac and the prices are very attractive, its difficult for me to shop there. Spoke to a Manager there in the past and her attitude was very offensive, she told me she did not have staff to keep the place clean nd that was not her priority. I wasn't familiar with this chain store, but walking in it looked pretty much identical to a Ross Dress for Less store, complete with a security/greeter in the same basic uniform. The layout of the store is the same, with household goods, home decor, luggage, bed & bath, but majority clothes. Women's clothes take up the most space, with kids and mens stuff coming in after. Prices are as you'd expect from a discount store. I noticed that the women's shoe sizes don't really go up past 10.5 at this location (at least not during my visit). Overall the store was clean and reasonably tidy. Things were organized and easy to find. I didn't end up buying anything, but I'd consider this store in the future if I need inexpensive clothes. It's conveniently located, with easy parking. This is a big plus over some of their competition. read more

Was in Santa Barbara for the weekend and on the way home had my husband make a detour so I could check out this Dd's. I give it 5 stars because it's a typical Dd's discount full of bargains and something for all. They have purses by Betsey johnson , backpacks by Adidas , Aeropostale bras and panties . Tons and tons of stuff but the only thing is today they only had one checker which was okay since the store wasn't crowded. I'm assigning Four Stars as I feel a business can improve here and there, to merit The Fifth. In any event, DD's like Ross, KMart, TJ Max, etc., provide a channel for those of us less fortunate and unable to brag of the 6 figure incomes a few enjoy. All of the merchandise in the Store is what people need day to day but at prices that won't take your last red cent. There's clothing, accessories, Home Goods... name it and most likely you'll find it. Go check them out. You may find something that pleases you. Honestly, this place doesn't have many things I wanted except some flip flops and sunglasses. I just came here out of necessity and boredom while staying across the street visiting my aunt. I'm not sure who their buyers are or where they acquire their merchandise, but it's pretty limited. That's a shame because this area really could use a great discounted department store that offers a nice variety and selection of goods. Unfortunately this one doesn't. Overall, the staff was OK. Right when I walked in, the security guard always said hello to me every time I came here (and I came here a lot in a 6-week period). They put up with me coming in 20 minutes before the store closed and they were still all so nice &helpful!! Even stayed late for Me ( sorry guys:/ I really appreciate it) Also definitely the cleanest and most organized DDs discounts I have honestly EVER been to. and I have been to more than a dozen all over CA. I'll never shop at another dd's discount store ever again. Especially the one on Ventura Road in Oxnard. I bought my daughter some ear buds that were packaged in a box. As soon as we got in our car my daughter opened the box and there were NO ear buds. So we turned around and drove back to the store where they wouldn't give my cash back even though they essentially sold me nothing. Instead and against my objections, they gave me a paper "merchandise return card" that looks like it'd been in someone's back pocket, all grubby and used-looking. When I asked for the manager's manager's phone number, I was told to "call corporate". I ask for that phone number and was told to "look online". There was no number on their website. I did see that they're affiliated with Ross so I guess I'll call them . I understand their return policy but since they sold me nothing, I expected my money back. Never again. read more

Great place to shop at affordable prices!! I just had a baby and was able to buy so much clothes for my son! I've been at this location on many occasions for different things I might need. The prices are great for someone on a budget. The staff is always friendly and it never fails that I am greeted as soon as I walk in. I've read other reviews and fortunately my experience with this location has been nothing but positive. You can always find what you need since it's always clean and organized .. Unlike the Ross, (also affiliated with DD's as I was told by a cashier once) location by Walmart. Always messy, everything is out of place and NO customer service what so ever. I'll stick with DD's. The dds discount in rialto is openly racist to white customers. Here is why I say this. My husband and I had never been into a dds before and we live in Bloomington which is part of Rialto ( we pay Rialto taxes). Anyway we decided to go into this store ( even though i should have known better after being openly descriminated against in all the Rialto stores). We shop and I needed the restroom so I see two employees ( not caucasion ) and ask them where the restroom is located , my husband also needed to use the restroom, the employees say " we don't have restrooms" so I go back to my husband and tell him what they said and they heard me (my husband is Hispanic) and the employees said" why didn't you tell us it was for him ( my Hispanic husband) the restrooms are right here." So my husband noticed the racist attitude of the employees . Then we get to the checkout and I am buying a gift card along with my other purchases and the Manager (also not Caucasion) says to the checker " make sure you get cash from her" ( meaning me.) I have had really hideous experiences trying to shop in Rialto but this was blatant racism. read more

I work by this store and go in sometimes on my lunch hour or my break and I came in one time carrying a bag with my business cards/keychains and the security they have there ( not sure if he still works there ) but he came up to me and just grabbed my bag from my hand and was like " sorry no bags from outside " and I had my wallet in there ! That was very VERY unprofessional. I had Personal things in there, he was already walking away and had to almost yell at him that I had my wallet in there, they're lucky I didn't report that.
