Fashion Gal is located inside the Wal-Mart shopping center. I stepped into Fashion Gal while waiting for my car to get unlocked as I accidentally locked my keys in the truck. Somehow, I ended up with my wallet, so what better time to shop? Fashion Gal has a lot of trendy clothes, and I've been wanting to update some pieces in my wardrobe, so I took a lap around. Unfortunately, a lot of the clothing had cheap/thin material and high prices. However, directly to the left of the store - upon entering - was a clearance section. The items ranged from about $3 to $20 in the clearance section plus there was an additional discount on some of the items. I looked at a cute blue dress that I wasn't sure I wanted, wandered away, found out they have dressing rooms, and went back to try on the dress, where I found a cuter, fitter, smaller lady eyeing it. I watched, eagle eyed, as she lifted it up from the rack to check it out and eventually put it back. I bolted over and grabbed it, trying it on in the dressing room. It fit and looked really nice! Score! It cost $5! I've wandered in here a few times after shopping at Wal-Mart to look in the clearance racks for more nice, discounted clothes. I found a pretty dress (but had cheap material) for $3, a cute skirt skirt for $3, and romper for $3. Everything was also discounted for another 20%, so I walked away with three cute items of clothing for less than 10 bucks! Usually I now only look in the clearance section, then I'm out when I find nothing I like. Everything else in the store is a little overpriced for my tastes, but I definitely was excited to find some cute pieces. And it's a good way to hype up yourself up for going into the busy Wal-Mart shopping center to do some essential shopping when you know needless and fun shopping at Fashion Gal is next! read more

I am extremely disappointed. I went in here to pass time since I was waiting for my dad in the gun store next by, but I was appalled by entering. The prices are shocking. Over $30 for a cheap shein dupe? Yeah, no. I asked this one girl who was GLUED to her phone for a shoe size, and she rolled her eyes when I asked her to go her job. I then asked a sweet worker for the shoe size and she gladly helped. I forgot to ask her for her name, but I did ask her for the eye roller's name, which is Ari. Once I took the shoes I wanted to the register, I was also disgusted. This cashier has obviously never worked customer service here before. She pratically tossed my change and never was courtious. Along with all this going on, she had a nasty face printed on. As I exited, I then asked the lady at the door what the cashier's name is and she told me its Alma. I KNOW this behavior of Alma's and Ari's wouldn't slide at a real job. I am highly disappointed. read more

I just walked out of here and it wasn't busy at all. Not 1 person spoke to me. The clothes look cheap and are better suited for teens. Similar to Papaya but a step down in maturity. read more

Fashion Gal is great for new trends and styles for less. I have purchased cute combat boots on sale here as well as an orange lace romper all for under $20 each. They have a good amount of fitting rooms and a wide range of sizes. Prices are affordable and you pay for what you get :) Can't go wrong with their sale racks but I also got a deal on a hunter green top for $15 and a black choker necklace for $3. Will come back for more when I feel like I need to update my closet :D read more

Must say something if the only 2 reviews are from LA folks, right? This is your typical cheaper stype fashionable clothing that you can find in any mall or strip mall. So what makes this one special? Let me tell you... First off it's in a huge shopping plaza. The busiest Walmart ever, then all your major shops. There are some other unique shops in the plaza, so worth the stop if you are in the area. The store is BIG. Lots and lots of selection, and each style had several sizes available. I like the way they had everything merchandised, was so easy to shop. In the back area of the store they have a huge selection of lingerie, accessories like hats, scarves, even shoes! Again - a large selection of sizes. Then in the middle they have a "jeans" area haha - it was like 6 racks of jeans and all sizes. So many styles to choose from! I know the reason most people shop at stores like this is because of the prices - and boy they were perfecto! The staff was nice and helpful. And be sure to walk around the register island - again loads of really nicely done accessories and jewelry that are so worth browsing! They're high heel shoes hurt so bad. Yes they're super cute but I couldn't stand for more than 3 hours in them I had to go back to my hotel room to change shoes it was a bump in our girls night out made us spend more money on an Uber to go back to the hotel because my feet were killing me then the manager couldn't even exchange the shoes for another item. A waste of money and time. Don't buy their shoes if you want to be able to have shoes you can dance the night away lol read more

Pretty good deals! Im from LA so when I came here I noticed that some of the items were a lot less than the stores back home. Some are normal priced, but I was pleasantly surprised. The store itself is pretty big, decently sized. They also have accessories, under garmets, and shoes. read more

There is no such thing as customer service at Fashion Gal in Oxnard, CA. I give them a million thumbs down. The manager/owner is rude and never helpful. I used to love shopping at Fashion Gal because of the cute clothing they sell for cheap. However, you get what you pay for (including no customer service whatsoever). This is not the first time that I have had issues with Fashion Gal, but I am at my last straw with this store and its management. The most recent issue I have with this store is regarding my purchase of super cute floral shorts, which I didn't notice there was a hole until I got home. When I decided to wear it out for the night, I noticed a gaping hole in the side of the shorts (see picture I posted of black shorts with pink/white flowers). I took it off and examined it further. The hole appeared to be where the security sensor was located and it had torn a hole in the fabric. So I obviously didn't notice that the hole was there because prior to purchasing, I wasn't able to see the hole because it was covered by the security sensor. This was not the first time this happened! I went to the store and showed them and asked for a refund, or at the very least store credit. They argued that the price tag (which was still attached) was in the "wrong place" (sounds like a previous review I've read on yelp about this store), and that the place on the shorts where the security sensor ripped a hole was on the wrong part of the shorts. Sounds to me like the owner was doing everything she could to "save" money by not having to take back a damaged item that they sold to me as damaged. If this store keeps up their stance on "no customer service," it will eventually lose all their customers and close down like its neighboring stores that have shut down. I refuse to shop at Fashion Gal anymore. If you're reading this and something similar happened to you at this store, I urge you to stop giving them your money and shop elsewhere. Let Fashion Gal go out of business so a better store can replace it. read more

Majority of my clothing is from fashion gal! I absolutely love this place and it is my go to for any type of outfit. I can find a work outfit, summer, winter, or even going out fashion! This place is a hidden gem and very often I get asked where I get certain clothing and never hesitate to tell them where. What some people do not realize is the same type of clothing ,material and all, is exactly what the popular fashion nova carries. The pricing is great and I can always count on this place. read more

I was super skeptical about this store because I thought the clothes would be cheap (like fellas) and the variety wouldn't be good. But i was definitely wrong. The clothes are good quality and the price is still fairly cheap. I went in only wanting to get something for my interview and ended up with a dress for my next date night and moor clothes for work. Anyone who is petite and short knows the struggle of clothes shopping. This place tends to have smaller sized things (like small actually means small and isn't long). Prices are fair. They don't accept returns (a sign said they accept exchanges within 14 days, but I cant actually attest to this..). Dresses were final sale. Store and dressing rooms were clean/organized. read more

Lots of different style of clothing to pick from very very organize the employments are very nice the only think I don't like is that you can't exchange certain clothing like dresses I asked why and they said because there's been a certain times that people will used the clothing and wear it and return it back with perfume smells deodorant stains etc...
