Can't give Tilly's a one star review to be fair. This is only the second time I've had a bad experience with them, the first not being enough to write a review about in my opinion (we'll just chalk that one up to someone having a bad day at work). This experience on the other hand does upset me enough to write one though. As a "regular" at Tilly's (my kids all like their stuff, I have 3 girls) I always spend a lot more than I'd like, even when I feel some of the things I pay for aren't worth it. You'd think after paying such ridiculous prices for some of their merchandise you'd at least have some kind of peace of mind on merchandise having a half decent exchange policy. Mind you I said exchange policy and not refund policy, I'm not one complaining that I want my money back after not liking something I already used. I simply would like what I paid for, simple as that. I tried reaching out to Tilly's and I did speak to someone (I won't say their name because I'm sure they didn't make the policy) But they did tell me I could not exchange it and that they could do nothing to help me. I don't remember them telling me anything to that effect though when they took the money I paid. It is extremely frustrating that customer service is just not a priority anymore. I can understand that has a lot to due with all the people that take advantage and try to work the system, but when someone is just trying to get what they pay for it shouldn't be such a problem. Other than the fact that prices are usually high. The new young adults they have running this store will be the death of the brick and mortar store fronts! They require your minor child's name upon entering a dressing room to which they say when asked "why?" By the parent states "so they can write it on the door?" Excuse me? You mean you're doing this as part of your anti theft procedures? Why does everyone need to know my child's name? Then an assistant manager that gives tone when asking the cashier if there are any deals going on and showing an email that says 30% off all sweatshirts is too difficult a request to simply confirm it's not all sweatshirts just select ones on a specific rack in store. Instead the entire staff decides they've been wronged and are justified to act like disrespectful snot nose teens. Yuck! After dropping over 300 bucks walking away feeling disgusted that I left my money with this store avoid it like the plague if yucky teen behavior is your trigger. read more

A little bit Hot Topic, a little bit Anchor Blue and a little bit Pac Sun. It is almost overwhelming when you walk in the store. Stuff is EVERYWHERE. If you plan on shopping here make sure you have a good 30 minutes to look around at everything. The store itself is very nice and clean and even with stuff everywhere they do a good job of organizing everything. This is another one of those stores where the prices are usually best if something is on sale. Most of their best sale stuff is at the far back corner of the store...of course so you have to walk past all that new merchandise before you get to the clearance stuff. I was very impressed tonight when we were shopping at this location...I was exchanging two shirts for different sizes and we just happened to have a $10 off coupon (for a purchase over 30 bucks). I wanted to get a new pair of shorts that were only $26, so the girl actually had us return the first shirts and then had us purchase the new shirts and I got the new pair of shorts and since we had the coupon those shorts only cost 16 bucks. Long story short the girl saved me 10 bucks on my shorts when she didn't have to. Good customer service...I will be back. read more

first majority of the sale associates were wonderful so kind and helped point me in the right direction for amazing gifts this holiday season! I was greeted by the store manager I believe her name was landyn, although her greeting was kind I felt ignored and every time I asked her personally for help she passed it on to an associate. And I understand it's a busy time but I just felt like it was lazy because there wasn't many people in the store . All she did was continue to talk to other employees that work and pay no mind to the customers willing to spend their hard working money . BUYER BEWARE! That should be on their website or before checking out on online purchases! I just recent ordered clothing on line not knowing that it was I guess FINAL PURCHASE! I went in to the local Tilly's store trying to return clothing that I was not satisfied with, ordered 2 overalls.... one the buckle was already broken and the other one didn't fit right very odd design overall. So I came in got in line and then the cashier who was helping me said that I could not return the items because they were FINAL SALE! I told the cashier that it did not say on line and even when I was checking out that they were final sale. He said that it says on the receipt? OKAY.... first of all how should I suppose to know they were final sale if the receipt came with the order! I asked for a manager or who ever was in charge again she was trying to tell me that they were final sale items because it was red tagged and will not give me a refund. Instead they can give me some type of a store credit and I can exchange them for something else in the store. At this point I was already disgusted I demanded a refund and explained on line purchases does not say anything even when completing the purchases that they were final sale. She then say that she needed to call corporate to get an approval on the refund. I got my refund! But she kept on explaining how the store policy works and about red tag sales were final sale blah blah blah! Basically trying to argue with me. So on line purchases is very DECEIVING! Overall they need to change how on line purchases like other companies do! YOU JUST LOST A CUSTOMER! and believe me I already told family and friends not to shop there any longer! read more

Each time I have walked into this establishment I have never been greeted. I sort of just find my way around, and find what I need. The store is HUGE, and has great selections. I find the promotions from looking at the signs, and never expect anybody to let me know a promotion. I once was looking for my size in a stack of folded out on the the table, and it was not sized correctly, and did not want to ruin the stack. You would THINK the girl who was folding down tees next to me would offer help... NOPE, and of course my medium tee was close to the bottom. Check out has always been sort of fast and easy. But don't expect anything special, the cashiers are usually rude, and each time they ask me if anybody has helped me I am VERY HONEST, I wonder if anybody looks into that? If I could give 0 stars I would. Miranda the assistant manager was very rude and had terrible customer service. I was returning two items and she gave me nothing but attitude. In addition, she lead me back to where one of the shirt was so I could exchange it , but then she told me I had to get back in line. She was already helping me, so this made no sense. When I finally reach the register for a second time, I interacted with Miranda again. She was not only rude and snotty to me but also was rude to an employee. I will NO longer spend my money at Tillys due to the horrible customer service and the extremely rude and unprofessional manager named Miranda. Every time I walk into Tilly's I am always greeted with so many smiles and welcomes. I love feeling welcomed into a store. The sales associates/management there are very helpful! They make shopping so much easier. Esplanade Tilly's also does a fantastic job at following COVID-19 protocols by wearing mask and keeping everything sanitized after every customer. I went around December and there was this very helpful girl her name was Erika and she tried on clothes for me and I recently saw her there and her service is phenomenal. I love the way she gives service from the way she grabs me clothes when I get the wrong size and she does it quick and efficient. She also gets along well with my daughter and has helped us get clothing for my family and as well as myself and son. Overall. I believe she needed to be noticed. When I spoke with the manager he said that was just the way was while he stood in front and offered no help to the nice people lined up around the store. Not sure what happened to our stuff can only assume someone got a coupLe of hundred dollars worth of merchandise for free. Workers are very rude. I walked in and within 10-15 minutes workers asked me 3 times (YES THREE TIMES) if I wanted them to keep my stuff at the register. They asked me a fourth time if they wanted me to put my stuff at the register and I started getting frustrated. Although I was wearing a backpack not once did they ask if i could leave it at the register (I was not stealing and if they asked me I would have gladly put it away) I was trying on clothes (left backpack outside fitting rooms) some girl I don't know her name and some guy were rude as well. I don't shop at Tilly's for myself but I've come in here a couple of times to look for gifts for my nieces and nephews. Tilly's reminds me of Pac Sun with skating/surfing clothing and Dickies as well. They have sections for men, women and boys, lots of backpacks and bags, shoes, jewelry. It seems like a popular place for teens and young adults. There aren't as many of these as there are Pac Suns and they aren't usually at malls (they tend to be in strip malls though there is one at Tanforan). Clothing is moderately priced. read more

I love this Tilly's store in Oxnard. If you've been to the Tilly's in T.O. you will forsure see the difference in stores right away. The Oxnard store is very well stocked and new items are coming in daily it seems. The staff are always very helpful. I love going there to buy shoes. They have the cutest shoes at great prices. I always find something great at Tilly's in Oxnard. Like at the tune of a few hundred dollars. LOL I can never buy one thing. I read a couple of other reviews and have to say I have always been greeted & helped. Yes this place does get busy on weekends and holiday times but Ive always been helped and never had any problems with any employees at Tilly's. read more
