Nordstrom Rack is a cool spot. Designer clothes marked down from the prices you'd see in their retail shops. I get a good amount of clothes from here and really like the Lucky Jeans selection, as they fit me well, and they always have a cool new pair of shoes for a reasonable price. This spot isn't really much different from the one I go to in San Diego. They also have a solid supply of brand name shades, which I appreciate. read more

Gabriela at Nordstrom Rack consistently comes across as unfriendly and unkind. Even simple questions seem to bother her, and she rarely responds politely, even when greeted with a hello. Customer service is a big part of the retail experience, and unfortunately interactions with her have been unpleasant. I enjoy shopping at this Nordstrom Rack, but it's disappointing when she is working the register. read more

The "feels" you get from finding a gem of an item and not paying full price, I can't tell you how amazing it is. Don't get me wrong, for the right item and occasion, I don't mind spending money on myself or a gift. But if we are talking about managing finances and being savvy with money, well then, you need to know how to shop! Over the years I've picked up wardrobes of good deals! Hugo Boss and Armani suits for on average $400-$500. Joe' Jeans for $50-$80. The best deal I ever found was a T-shirt for $0.01...that's right "one cent!" These days I enjoy shopping online. It's much more convenient and allows me to do a price comparison. Usually I will purchase two different sizes, then keep the size that fits best. It's also nice to have your items shipped to the local store, that way you don't have to stress with "Porch Pirates" stealing you deliveries! The Nordstrom Notes are always nice little surprises to add to the shopping experience. The team at the Oxnard is always willing to help with a pickup or return. I've been a happy Nordstrom Rack shopper for decades. read more

Good place to get new brands at a lower price. Some items are still a little pricey but it's the lowest you will probably get. They have Vince, Madewell, Adidas, Tory Burch Purses, lots of sunglasses, men and women work outfits, etc. They have a ton of shoes of all different sizes too so you will have a lot of styles to look at for all occasions. I love this store. You can find beautiful brand name things but a lot cheaper most times! I went Christmas shopping and I ended up with a few things for my self. As soon as you get a walk in the first thing to your right you will find purses and hand bags. I found a really pretty purse for half the retail price which was a great deal! I also loved their glasses and I found my favorite perfume for a better price than at the store I usually get it from. One of the larger stores, this Rack is stuffed with clothing and shoes for men, women, and children. Prices are higher than at TJ Max next door, but the clothing is higher quality. I found a great designer purse at a reasonable price, and my friend found a good deal on some Nikes, but they didn't have her size, even though the stock person checked in the back, so we now know there are even more shoes hidden away, despite four long rows of each shoe size. If you have plenty of time and are willing to wander through multiple collections, you can usually find a deal. read more

Apparently Nordstrom Rack doesn't have the same return policy as Nordstrom and only gives you 60 days to make a return even for store credit...Shame on me for not knowing and trying to return something 70 days later. Their inventory all looks outdated and products look like knock offs. It's wild that in today's day and age a retailer wouldn't let you return something for store credit. I regret spending money here and not just going to Nordstrom direct. Customer service was also lacking in that when I was told that I couldn't return because it was outside the return window and obviously annoyed, the girl at the register said "I could try to get my manager and see if we can do anything but we probably can't because you're at 70 days and our return window is 60." Most other stores in seeing a customer visibly upset would get the manager without making the customer say they would want it escalated. I told her it's fine as didn't want to make a scene and that I would donate the stuff to goodwill since none of it fits. read more

I was looking for shoes for my son, and I couldn't find the size so I decided to ask one of the employees(Jasmine), and at first it seems like we were out of luck because she checked online and there was 1 Birkenstock left, but we couldn't find it. We ended up going to the checkout line.Then the employee (jasmine) I was asking for help came up to us with a box, mind you it was about 10 minutes ago when I asked her for help. She found the Birkenstock and I immediately thanked her.I really appreciate that this worker went above and beyond to get me the Birkenstocks that were a gift for my sons birthday. I really did appreciate that she kept looking even when I said it was okay, it shows she truly cares about the customers...I will DEFINITELY be coming back!! read more

I enjoy checking in with this Nordstrom Rack every once in a while. The styles are sort of all over the place and often not my thing, and the prices aren't always where I need them to be but overall it's a fun store and has cool stuff. I needed some long shirts and couldn't find them elsewhere but found many options here, which made me very happy. The other reason I come here is Nordstrom is known for having cute, fun, sexy shoes in women's sizes up to 12 on average. Most stores do not carry sizes this large and so finding them on sale is great. I often buy special event shoes here. I like that when Nordstrom introduced the system where you can pay any floor employee if you were using a credit card, that they also put it in this store, though last time I was here I didn't see any floor employees I could harass to finish my purchase faster than waiting in line. I used the system once before but the employee had a problem and had to go up to the front anyway and it took forever... oh well. I like this store and enjoy browsing here. It's big, conveniently located and reasonably priced. Fun stuff and big women's shoes! read more

I can't believe it took me soo long to get me hooked onto Nordstrom Rack for the time it's been here at the Esplanade. Maybe because when I was younger, I didn't get why everything was still pricey for what it is and you can get such better deals at TJ Maxx next door. Anyways, I am in love with my boo Tory Burch and they sell her products here! I've came across one Tory Burch purse for MRSP $485 but it was on sale for $279. I held onto that thing like a mother onto a newborn baby lol It was a medium, simple, pebbled-leather tan purse with gold metalwork a strap as a cross body bag. After my purchase, I usually get mad buyer's remorse and thought about returning it because $300 is a lot of moolah to spend on a purse. Few days later, I go back to Nordstrom Rack and they're having a "Clear the Rack" sale where all their sale items were an additional 25% off! Now I really don't have buyer's remorse anymore because I returned that purse and repurchased it with the 25% sale price bringing it down to a little over $200. Damn you got me good, Nordstrom Rack. You played me like a fiddle. I love my Tory Burch bag and I'll be coming back for more of her good stuff. read more

When I drive up the 101 on my way to Santa Barbara or anywhere north of LA passing thru Oxnard. I like to stop by this Rack. First because it use to have great Free People selection. Side note: Sorry that is my favorite brand and I am a bit biased in how I rate the racks because of this brand. but I still love me sum rack for other stuff. This time that I stopped by the selection of Free people was minimal and so were the Spring dresses. i understand they were probably in transition from one season to another. This store needs some MAJOR reviews in Customer Service 101. At the check-out, there were only 2 employees working. After standing in line for at LEAST 6 minutes and NOT moving an inch, 2 other employees finally came from somewhere to ring up the rest of us who were waiting. I was not the only one frustrated either. The lady in front of me was sighing loudly too. The line to check out was 5 people deep AND these employees had to answer the store telephone too. Made things 10000% worse. Very mismanaged. Very poor service. And by looking at their shoe prices, they aren't really cheaper than any other stores! I saw their designer bags are marked down, but not much of anything else. I don't see the big hype about this store. I won't be back anytime soon. read more

This store is smaller than other ones I've been to but there are some really good deals that you can find if you take the time to browse. It's a good place to find a deal on designer brands. I had received a pair of shoes in the wrong size for Christmas. I needed to exchange. The process couldn't have been easier at Nordstrom Rack. I live in Santa Barbara, a mere few blocks from the now-shuttered Nordstrom (non-Rack). I knew the only way to exchange would be to drive south. The closest Nordstrom to me is in Thousand Oaks - way too far. Looking online, I noticed that the Rack stores will accept Nordstrom returns. Great! Only issue: I don't have the receipt, it was a gift. Drove out to the location. For it being after-Christmas, the store was surprisingly well-stocked. It's in a large strip mall and parking is plentiful. Though nowhere near as luxurious as a traditional Nordstrom, this store was quite clean and orderly. It was configured like a Ross but was much more pleasant to be in. Score. I was assisted by Kathleen at the return desk, and she was very kind and professional. I knew that my mother had purchased the item with her Nordstrom credit card, and Kathleen was quickly able to pull up the transaction once I provided the associated phone number. I was given a gift card for the amount of the item, which could be redeemed at Nordstrom or Nordstrom Rack, in-store or online. Very convenient. I was able to find a pair of comparable shoes in this store for a fraction of the cost. I now have a great pair of well-fitting shoes as well as a gift card for the balance of the original pair.
