I attempted to make an exchange without a receipt, which according to the store's posted policy on dollar trees website it is permitted for merchandise of equal value. Despite this, the exchange was refused and with a sorry. When I asked for clarification, the manager on duty stated that she was new and had been trained not to process exchanges without a receipt. This explanation was disappointing, as it conflicts with the store's policy on dollar tree website and suggests a training issue rather than a policy restriction. I was frustrated by the inconsistency between the written policy and how it was enforced. Customers should be able to rely on posted store policies being applied correctly. I request that this issue be reviewed and that the exchange be honored in line with the store's policy. Then to ask customers if they want a receipt. If you say no and have to exchange an item they won't. I didn't want the money just another item which still had the original tags that was defective. This is the only dollar general store who doesn't honor the policy that's stated on the website. Also customers don't need the excuse that you are a new manager and was trained like that. Do right by the customer if you want us to return and spend our money there. Not like the store is losing money for an exchange, what a joke. read more

Management scapegoated a hardworking employee who was great with customers. He was their best worker and even trained new hires, since management did not want to properly train employees, and he ended up being fired. It's disappointing to see an employee treated this way. Horrible management. This review probably won't make much of a difference since this is such a large chain, but I wanted to share. read more

Affordable, fun holiday decor, kitchen essentials and basic food staples all at a low budget price! They have bathrooms, not the cleanest but helpful when nature calls. It's not a health conscious place, all the food and snacks here are processed but they have water, coconut oil, peanut butter and other not too bad options. They have a bit if everything Service us hit or miss here, this is a great place to buy low priced birthday cards, party supplies and school supplies. As for the store I'd have to give it a 3. Not very well lit, it is a little run down but it is a Dollar Tree. Now as far as the customer service goes well that's another story. In June 11, 2025 at around 4:30 ish-5:15 PM t that store was being held down by ONE, yesONE amazing person, SALLY!! She was the ONLY cashier, also was straightening out the carts that customers were leaving on their way out the store. Like she didn't have enough to do already. The line was all the way down the aisle. Customers were shocked to see how far back the line was. Sally kept her cool! Would holler from time to time letting customers know that they would be taken care of soon. This woman was in CONTROL!! Never did she lose her cool. She was courteous to every single person that was checking out and also greeted customers walking in the door. It was a very busy day/time. At about 5:15, 2 men walk out of the office. The woman behind me and I were shocked to see them walk out like nothing was happening. I hope that you recognize Sally for her amazing performance and dedication to your establishment. So often great employees are not recognized for their great work ethic. I hope your establishment isn't one of those. Value Sally for what she brings to your organization! read more

5-4-2025: Excellent improvement, Dollar Tree Camarillo, CA. This is my 4th visit, which is in a 1-month and 1/2 period after taking a long break from this store. Mainly because I see a great, extraordinary improvement due to the morning staff and a great, extraordinary worker named ISAISAS, along with the other members of the morning staff they have there, I would like to also acknowledge the one young Hispanic lady who also works the checkout, helped me last time. Plus, the nice caucasian lady there. This is an excellent team, the checkout is fast, there is no longer saying we do not accept Credit Cards and only cash, because this team has it together and works harmoniously. They help each other and relate nicely. As a Senior Citizen, I have noticed the hard work ISAISAS does, he is wonderful and a person you can tell has great work experience under his belt. He has management skills and deserves a raise. They all do. I now come back because of their friendliness, their good mornings when a customer enters their store. Caution: Yes, they sell cheap junk. But you still expect it to not be broken. I purchased two items one was cracked. It was a cup and the other one did not work. They were Christmas lights. When you check out they ask you do you want a receipt I always say no to save paper because I get a copy in my bank statement. However, you cannot do an exchange or return unless you have an original receipt. I should her the charge on my checking statement- No! That won't work. The gal was less than accommodating would not help me. I called on the phone they couldn't help me. That's their policy. I even called corporate- nada! Gilbert is probably the rudest employee I have ever encountered in my lifetime. I am a local and frequent this location. He raised his voice at me 3 times at check out and told me I have 45 seconds to pay and refused to give me a bag after I clearly asked to pay for one. I literally did nothing, but take my items to checkout. I think he wanted to go home and took all his frustrations out on me- a paying customer.Great way to lose business! read more

Stopped by for greeting cards and paused to look over their notifications on the door. Masks required, only 22 people allowed at one time. There was some 'ok' type cleaning by the baskets inside, nothing special. 6 ft spacers on the floor and plexiglass at the cashiers. Since quarantine I've made it a habit to go to Dollar Tree and look for knick knacks and most of the time I am pleasantly surprised! They have a great selection of candles, coloring books, hair accessories, and cleaning products. The downside of this store is they rarely ever update their inventory, so it's very rare that you find something new and exciting. Their bathrooms are a no no as well. They are often dirty and out of toilet paper or soap. Although, in my opinion it's much better and much cleaner than the .99 store. Employees are always helpful and welcoming when you come into the store as well! No matter what the cons are, I still love the store and it's great for basic household needs or if you want to find some exciting items for cheap prices. read more

By far, my favorite dollar store location! Cynthia greeted me the minute I walked in, full of life and with a smile. She let me know if I needed any help finding an item she was glad to help. I posted a couple photos capturing how neat and organized every single aisle was. I suggest coming early because this store has a lot of good stuff in rotation. I had such a great experience tonight I just had to say something. I came into dollar tree looking for wrapping paper and right at the entrance I was greeted by Paul an amazing cashier. I did some shopping and had the best customer service I have ever had!! Paul was so friendly, courteous, and polite. I was in the area so decided to stop in for one thing since it would save me a trip to the location by my home. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by a friendly voice from the register. My finacee and her sister are smart shoppers and thanks to them, I now frequently shop here for items that don't require a brand name to them. Paper, pens, envelopes, gift wrap, you name it. Though it may not have a grocery store like 99 Cent Stores, it is a lot more organized. The staff are always helpful and are genuinely eager to assist me when I walk in. The reason I'm only rating Dollar tree in Camarillo on Pickwick us because of a particular employee working there. Overall, I'm usually happy and excited about my purchases after shopping, but tonight when I left, I was so disappointed by the trash worker that "helped" me check out. I pray that she is not a manager or supervisor bc if she is, I feel it my duty to report what a rude, unintelligent idiot that is just not a good person to have working in a customer service related job bc she didn't have an inkling of social skills or common courtesy in any way and seriously was offensive just by the way she was operating. She told me to come to lane 3 even though the light was on under lane 2 where I was standing at first. Whatever, no big deal I moved to lane 3. As soon as I started putting my stuff to be rung up she answers the phone and proceeds to talk to someone for 5 minutes (I timed it) and not once from beginning to end did she ever make eye contact with me, smile, or even acknowledge me or the fact that I'd been standing there waiting for her to ring my stuff up.
