I let the woman at the counter know I am there with an order and have an order # in hand. She calls Monique over. I walk up to Monique with order number in hand and she doesn't even make eye contact and continues to walk away from me towards the counter to discuss with the cashier. Alright, I follow her up and let her know and am slammed with an attitude "do you have an ID?" And I said "well I'm picking up this order for my mother" and before I can even finish my sentence she rudely exclaims she cannot give me an order without an ID. I explain my mother is bed ridden and I have an order number and she refuses. I get my mother on the phone and magically Monique is able to provide the order after discussing it with her store manager. On top of that, she states "you need to be nice" after I asked her for the corporate number. She gave me the number to IT support. Pulled out a giant binder with tons of numbers in big bold writing I could read from 4' away and still couldn't give me the correct contact number. Unsure if that was on purpose or if she was feeling extra unprofessional. Last week we had a similar interaction when purchasing items labeled $5 and charging for $7 or more. We asked the cashier to fix the price because it is clearly labeled on the sticker with the SKU $5. Manager did not want to come talk to us, leaving the cashier awkwardly having to state the manager wasn't coming and he'd have to charge us $7 for a sticker that says $5. We had to ask him 3 times to get the manager up to the front and he finally came. Was not willing to fix all the prices so those items were left behind

I came here looking for snacks, and Five Below did not disappoint. Some big name snacks, and some…read moreoff-the-wall snacks. Novelty drinks, stationary, toys, basic clothing and sports equipment. Not everything was $5 or less today though. I guess that's the state of things. I ended up buying a big bag of mostly candy for $31. Some for me and some as quirky gifts for friends. Self-checkout was easy. Overall the store was clean and well-stocked, though a little messy/disorganized. Some stuff, especially in the candy "bins" was not in the right bins, which makes the prices confusing. One of the candies I bought, I thought it was going to be $4 but it was $2.50. And a toy I bought, I had no indication of price at all, and it turned out to be $4. Their stock changes regularly so it's fun to just check in every so often to see what they have. And if you see something you're interested in, it's a good idea to buy, as it may not be there the next time you visit. Staff I talked to were polite and professional. Parking was easy - it's in a big strip mall sort of shopping center.

I have been lucky finding some great deals on shoes-- Like new Danskos and Toms. I feel like retail businesses end up donating here, I do tend to see Toms shoes come through a lot. The clothing prices can range from average baseline prices similar (or lower) to Goodwill but some items may have unusually high prices. It's hard to gauge. I did see many clothing items that were stained or looked very worn and were still priced semi higher than expected. HOWEVER, what I want to focus on is the main nonprofit-- Rescue Mission Alliance. They run programs for women and men who are needing shelter due to domestic violence, trafficking, or difficult unhoused situations. People who commit to their programs are allowed to shop at this store for free, so donations do in effect go directly to the people in their shelter programs. So I want to commend the store and nonprofit for their directly giving back donations to their participants via vouchers. I also recommend that this is a great local nonprofit to give your donations to (more purposeful than dropping off at Goodwills)

I already posted a raving review on Google and it doesn't let you do more than one. I can…read moreunderstand why but I need to RAVE SOME MORE ABOUT THIS PLACE! IT IS A LIFESAVER! I've lived in this area for like 26 years and grew up going to food for less. Well this place BEATS THE PRICES OF FOOD FOR LESS AND QUALITY THE FRUIT IS ALWAYS GOOD and IM SO GRATEFUL THAT IVE BOUGHT BERRIES HERE MULTIPLE TIMES THAT LAST FOR THE WEEK OR EVEN LONGER I know if it was food for less it wouldn't have. This has saved me a bunch of time of not having to go out to oxnard and even priced similar to Costco without the crowd Just relieves stress! I've bought other vegetables too and overall great quality. Cilantro is great, tomatoes are great, onions, lettuce - all your basics! The few that you have to understand sometimes is the squash is a use within a few days but that's ok! I plan to do that! This place is a GOD SEND especially since I have irregular income and need the help and not spend a ton of time looking for what I can afford. This place has become my first stop before anything or elsewhere and I come routinely

I didn't, so I offered to go verify. I come back and say $5.99. Completely reasonable for the bargain-bin wine they sell here. She gives me a look like I'm attempting some elaborate scheme to defraud the store. Really? I even said, "Come on, I'm not going to lie about a couple dollars." Still suspicious. So I went back and documented the price with a photo. She then scrutinized the picture like it was a forged passport. Meanwhile a sizable line grows behind me, which actually is totally standard for this chronically mismanaged place. The sewer-adjacent odor when you walk in and the endless lines weren't enough to make me quit, but this interaction was the final straw. I'm done subjecting myself to this. If you still possess all your teeth and prefer to avoid developing hepatitis, maybe choose a different option. Hopefully one day this spot will be replaced with a real grocery store.
