I haven't been to a Daiso in 20+ years. I have been wanting to come to the Oxnard location since I moved to Southern CA 2 years ago. Most items are $2.25. It's like the Japanese version for Five and Below. I also heard it is owned by Walmart. I read online that they have coffee pour overs and coffee filters for cheap. I found a ceramic mint green one that was $6 and the coffee filters were $2.25 for 90. I also picked up some chair feet covers to prevent scratching up my floors. I went a little crazy. I also bought a rice cooking mug that allows you to cook about 2/3 cup of uncooked rice and it comes out to about 2 cups cooked rice. I also bought a few odds and ends and some supplies I needed for my work tote for organization. They sell small cooking pans, some camping gear, travel items, small organization containers, laundry items for air drying laundry and mesh bags. They have some cute kitchenware and even nail kits and accessories. I did the self check out which they had a sign next to it saying bags were $0.15. I brought my own bag in. I will probably end up visiting Daiso a few times a year as there are so many cool things to help make life easier. read more

Ok, I finally made it over to the Oxnard Daiso! What a wonderful new business! I've only been to a couple other Daiso so I don't have much to compare this one to. But what immediately impressed was how organized this store was. I love how all the aisles have signage. It's super easy to find the section you want. Other Daiso I've been to things seemed way more haphazard. Almost like there was no organization. Were there all the crazy items you only find at a Daiso? Yes, yes there were. Did I come home with a bunch of stuff I had no idea I needed until I saw it on the shelf in front of me? Yes, yes I did. To me, Daiso shopping is the best kind of shopping. RUN TO THIS STORE!!!!! Stumbled across this place when I decided to look around the desolate shopping plaza when I saw the BK closed. Its like a japanese dollar store but everything is awesome and way better quality. I just went in to see what the store was since I had no item what it was. Told myself do not get a basket, limited yourself to hands. Still left spending 30 dollars. I will be back. Clean, organized store. Hardwares, stationary, kitchen gadgets (my absolute fav), bathroom items, hair sutff, disney theme random things, oranizational bins, chopsticks, dishware, ramen. I LOVE this place. The brightest lit store around! If you need pizza flavored chips, cat shaped door hangers, Disney toilet covers or turquoise Christmas tree garland this is the place for you! This store has some great gifts for a low price. They had insect containers which I thought were priced well for transporting bugs or rodents. I got my little brother one for bug catching in my backyard. They had some tea options, and you can even get the Oi Ocha Unsweetened Green Tea (2L) here. There's a lot of containers if you need to organize your storage. Everything is priced at a good price. We even got a. Christmas tree for our apartment for under $7. I love daiso and I'm glad to finally have one closer to where I live. This location is a decent size store, I always find something new every time I visit. My one issue is with the baskets there. Every daiso store I've visited have rolling baskets that you don't have to carry around and they hold a lot of stuff. This location only had small hand baskets and if I'm buying larger items I have trouble carrying them around the store and usually fill my basket too quickly. For those who are unfamiliar... think of an asian dollar store where majority of the items are $1.50 and others are more depending on the item. I always come across the most unique finds in Daiso, from household goods to adorable stationary. Kitchen goods are always great to buy here as well as organizers. One of my favorite has to be little socks for my chairs so they don't scratch my flooring. Why go for boring nubs when you can give your chairs some style! This location is very clean and pretty sizable. The staff was friendly and the line moved quickly. Because I'm Japanese, I'm sooooo happy we have Daiso in Oxnard. I wanted to come here as soon as it opened, but I didn't have a chance, so I stopped by after filling up the gas at Costco. As soon as I entered the store, I was surrounded by Japanese things and felt like I was in Japan, which made me nostalgic for Japan. I was happy to see many people enjoying shopping and loving the products. What I particularly like about Japan is the cute stationery. I couldn't find anything like that made in America, so I used to buy them at Japanese supermarkets in LA. But from now on, I don't have to go to LA. One of the good things about Japanese products is that they are cheap but of good quality. Many useful goods are unique to ideas created by Japanese people. I was concerned that the prices of the products were not clear, but they were not that high, so it wasn't a problem for me personally. The products range from kitchen utensils to foods like snacks. They have a wide variety of products. There are plenty of parking spaces in front of the store, so there is no problem. read more

o0o0o this is a big Daiso!!! I always feel so happy strolling a Daiso- at first they were playing a Top 40 song over the speakers and I was like what? but within seconds the Japanese music came on. Very cool store, I finally have a store near by me that sells Japanese candy and goodies along with non food items. Super cute and love it.

This review is long overdue because it was on their grand opening weekend back in September. The location works well because it's in a shopping center with plenty of parking. The value of the merchandise is good and many items are high quality or unique. The customer service was helpful and friendly. My only complaint would be that they did not have any refrigerators to chill their drinks like other Daisos during opening weekend. read more

Really excited to see Daiso open up in Ventura County! Daiso replaced the former 99 cents store located in the shopping plaza across from Costco. They store has plenty of space to walk around and browse for cute items like stationery, holiday decorations, stuffed animals, housewares, arts and crafts, and more. The shelves were clean and organized. However many of the shelves were still bare especially the snack aisle. I didn't see as many options for Japanese dishes and cups. I'm going to assume that they will have more variety later on once they are all set up and have regular inventory coming in. Be aware that they sell items at different price points depending on the size and quality of the item. They have signs posted around that tells you how much each item costs between $1.75 to around $10. Staff was friendly so if you have questions don't be afraid to ask. They have several self-checkout lanes which is really convenient. Lots of parking in the plaza and can't wait to come back and check out what they have for sale for Christmas! read more

Pretty cool store, only been there once but my daughter was just there for her first time and unfortunately her excitement quickly turned into not wanting to go back there again. She noticed a worker following closely but dismissed it because she thought it was someone putting stuff back, when she checked out was confronted by the same guy asking for pens he saw her with earlier which she explained she put back as she decided not to take them anymore. He aggressively asked for her to walk back where she left them so she did and when she showed him he did not believe her so made her empty her purse and all pockets which she did and had nothing on her. He continued to ask for the pens and told her "well I guess, have a good day." Her uncle who was waiting outside came in to ask what was going on and the manager had an attitude, as if he was offended accusing her with no probable cause. I cannot imagine being followed around the store the whole time while I look around, idk if he just likes to profile or he likes to intimate minors but for being a manager that was very unprofessional behavior. read more

I go there every Sunday, but the store is empty. I asked the staff and they told me that they buy things three times a week. They buy things on Fridays and sell out on Sundays. If that's the case, why don't they buy more items that will sell out? I've been there three weekends in a row already. I was only able to buy something on the opening day. Is Daiso motivated? Or is the manager incompetent? If they're running out of stock, shouldn't they just close down? Honestly, such a huge variety of items if you're in the area, I would recommend checking out. It's not as busy as the other Daisos

Place is NEW , Very clean , organized , no price tag on an anything , you have o figure it out by checking the the signs on the end of the isles . There's no one to ask for help , I think it's super busy , the cashier seems very mad upset , not a smile or a greeting ! A lot of the things are over priced and some things are reasonable . I love this store but I'm writing a 2 star review because of the staff. There was a group of them standing in one of the isles blocking stuff from customers while talking about their plans for that night. There was a group of 4 workers at the register all talking when I was ready to check out and not a single one even looked at me when I was just standing there ??? At the register obviously ready to check out. One of them motioned for someone to help me and they looked at Each other as if it was an inconvenience. Love this store, however i will never be returning because of the service i was given at the register. First of all, your employee Cynthia refused to void a bag i was purchasing because my wife had found a different bag she wanted. All because ms Cynthia didn't want to take the items out and rescan the bag. She then proceeds to hand us said bag by dropping it on the counter causing the bag with GLASS items to nearly fall and break. She then proceeds to laugh in our face about it. Please consider firing her or rehiring someone who will act in a professional matter. Cynthia please consider a job in a warehouse where you don't have to talk to anyone because it is definitely not your strong suit. read more

The store is full of unique products that range from snacks to office supplies and everything in between. There's a toy section as well as Sanrio and Disney sections. Everything has a cute color or design to it. Organization is easy at Daiso they have all the container and stuff you need for every room. Be mindful of how they price things, there is signs all over the store to help you understand it better and customer service is always great. So happy to welcome Daiso to Oxnard finally !! read more

It's hard to tell the pricing. Store was clean but I noticed it was empty in some aisles.. Very nice selection of items. I saw Disney stuff, hello kitty coin purses. Stationary Journaling and sticker items I picked up some stickers I was expecting to spend around $20 and I managed to walk out the door only spending around $7. I was pleasantly surprised.
