With the closure of the 99 cents only store, Dollar General is now the place to go for $1.25 cheap stuff

My friend and I stopped in on our way home today and not only was it the CLEANEST Dollar General we had ever seen, the staff was super friendly and helpful. I will be doing my shopping there from now on when I'm in town. Good job Ladies and Gentlemen! read more

I am continually amazed at the deals I find here! At their competitors I usually find similar items but in off-brands. One of the things I like about this place is there are quite a few name brands esp candy, hehe. I can usually find some great candy here for much less $! Win win. When I find myself in this part of the county I will usually go out of my way to make a stop here to stock up on some shelf-stable items and any other toiletries I may be short on. The 126 is a nightmare at times, but access here is a breeze if you're traveling East on the 126. If you're going West, then turn left on "C" Street to get to the Dollar Store. I'll pretty much recommend this business - it's a super basic quick stop shop. If you have a few minutes to explore you could probably find a few treasures while you're at it or just grab a little bit of everything. (FYI, service is unremarkable) read more

I stopped by at this Dollar General to see what they had, especially since it's a new store and they're not far at all from a Family Dollar store, which I've been to and like. They're pretty much the same store, but I was very happy to find some things here that I had been having a hard time finding. I was looking for a holiday garland for cheap and the dollar stores I went to had nothing. Dollar General, however, had exactly what I was looking for and they were only $1! I also bought some fake flowers which I hadn't found elsewhere for the right price. The store was clean and well lit. Aisles were tidy but occasionally had displays or products standing in them so it might be hard for a wheelchair to get around easily. Staff was polite and friendly. I love this store, has everything we need instead of having to go to the grocery store. Cleaning supplies are usually stocked, the only reason I gave them 4 stars was because of their customer service, the cashiers are very unfriendly. I know we are all wearing masks but it doesn't take much to say hello and thank you. read more

If you live a block away and find that you are out of something simple and need it now, then this store can save you a few minutes. This isn't a place that I would frequent but the prices are fair and it is convenient because it saves the time of going to the grocery store. You can find find items that couldnt be found at the local gas station. read more

When I moved here I found this store. The male manager which I can't remember his name is so awesome to me every time I come in, in the mornings. Leslie and Stephanie always keep me updated on sales and they really treat me like family. Because of their true customer service, this store is an A+ in my book. If your looking for sweet deals they have them all the time. I'm able to grocery shop and get bargains on clothing too. One of the most important things is your first appearance when you walk through the door. This store is clean and well worth shopping in. They all deserve a raise. read more

Parking and walk from car is typical to a fastfood restaurant. If you are on a fixed or low income, a young couple or single parent with children or a person with a disability, senior citizen, or college student: you must shop this retail store. Most of the products are not items designed to provide long term use, but are the everyday, one time use/throw away, disposable, necessary day to day items that support basic needs. Personal hygiene supplies, toothpaste, toothbrushes, hair care.. I replace toothbrushes very frequently, and at more than 50% cheaper than a pharmacy or grocery store. Disposable diapers, children's short term needs (growing: you know a t-shirt or casual jacket will only fit a child a short while, why pay 3 times as much at a department store, pharmacy, or even Wal-Mart or Target) Pet food brands like Pedigree, Purina, Rachel Ray... ALWAYS (average 10% or more) cheaper than grocery stores or Wal-Mart (Same true for most other common types of products) Good quality bath towels $3, acceptable bed pillows as low as $2-$6, twin size bed sheet sets $12.50, cleaning supplies unbelievably low priced, household items of good quality, especially those items for storage. Lysol, Mr. Clean, Tide, Purex, Wisk, ...toilet paper, trash bags, paper products, gift bags $1, backpacks $8, school supplies, Hanes underware, socks. Most DG-brand items of quality equal to Walmart Great-Value brand. I have repeatedly shopped at many DG stores in Stokes,Forsyth, Guilford,Randolph,Rockingham, and Davidson (counties of North Carolina). read more

I have been here 5 or 6 times. I have never been greeted by any employee. The store shelves are overstock, cluttered, and messy. Hard time find items. Don't think I will shop here again. read more
