The people at this Vons are always so nice! Yesterday I came in looking for 4lbs of beef chuck to cook up for Christmas dinner. I already went to 2 stores and they were sold out. I decided to go to this vons. The butcher didn't have any behind the glass, but helped me look for it in the pre-wrapped section. We didn't find any, but he said "let me go ask someone for you". He brought another butcher and he said "hold on, I think I have some in the back!". He came back with the perfect size of beef chuck, wrapped and ready to go! Both of the guys were so nice and friendly - I'm so thankful they went above and beyond to help me!! The lady at self-checkout was also very nice! Doing things with a genuine smile really makes a difference! I stopped by here last week as well for energy drinks. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by a man stocking produce. When I checked out, the cashier was so cheerful and paid me a compliment that really made my day. Aside from having a great team, this location's produce has always looked a little better to me than some other stores - not sure why! Anyways, Thank you Vons Fillmore! read more

If I could give a negative I would. This store is the only real market in town ans with the thousands of new people in town, they don't give a crap if someone has to wait a half hour for two items. Lines up the aisles and one checker open. 6:30 at night and ONE CHECKER! I wish we had somewhere else to shop, I would. But they know they have a captive audience, waiting to check out. read more

Once again there was a very long line and only one cashier open as they keep trying to make people use the self check outs. I should know better than to get very many things as it is a miracle if they bag it for me much less place it in the cart even after I have told them my shoulders and back are in very bad shape. I have noticed the one in Ventura on Telegraph was better the last time I went; I will drive over there again and see if they are better. read more

I have been shopping at this Vons for years but the service is just not the same. It is a miracle to get someone to bag your groceries and put them in your cart. I can't lift the bags into my cart and I told the checker this but he did bag my groceries and left them there while he turned to the next customer and just said sorry as he saw me struggling to lift the bags into the cart. I can't do all of my shopping here anymore because of this and finding a checkout line open. I do remember when they would bag your groceries and take them to your car. For some reason when my husband goes they bag all of his groceries and put them in the cart but never for me no matter how much I buy. I have to go to other stores to complete my shopping because my shoulders and back are killing me and I don't trust other people to pick my groceries so I'm not going to delivery. read more

DON'T COME HERE. On 10/12/19, there was a HUGE sewage spill that covered about half of the store. The store was left open for customers to still come in and it REEKED of sewage. The store was never properly cleaned and there's still bacteria everywhere. They don't want to do anything about it. I've lived in Fillmore my whole life and have been shopping here since I was a baby. Some of the cashiers have watched me grow up, so you think some of them would be more friendly since my family has been shopping here for over 20 years. The only reason we shop here is because it's the only grocery store in town other than super A. They jack up the prices for that reason. Multiple times I've taken home food to realize it's spoiled, past exp. date, and covered in mold. The only cashiers that are friendly are the ones who are new. Robert is the rudest cashier of all of them. Multiple times he has rung me up without saying a single word to me the entire time. I don't know what his issue is with my family because we've been seeing him there forever. I like to support local businesses but this place is horrible. read more

I've been contemplating this for a few days now but I think the community of Fillmore needs to know about this! I placed an order with Vons mobile app and I got there on time the time it gave me on the app I let the person know I was there and he took his time (literally 20+ mins) and I called because I didn't want to take up a spot for to long and he wouldn't pick up and when he did come out he was very standoffish with me. Tall guy long blond hair, I think his name started with a C I can't remember. I usually do not bother dealing with that I don't mean to sound snobby but because of my disability it is hard for me to go into the store most of the time. I did end up calling management and they defended his carelessness and they brushed me off! I know some people that work at Vons and I asked about him and they told me that his behavior around females isn't the best he harasses females coworkers that he also gets aggressive when he doesn't get his way and they told me that management has been getting complaints about this situation and they just AGAIN brush it off and it's not the first time a male worker there has harassed a female and they just brush it off! read more

This supermarket is very clean and well kept. The produce section sits on dark hardwood floors and the hot food/deli area is always stocked with good eats. There is even a hot soup kiosk with freshly baked bread bowls. The checkers and employees are always very helpful and courteous. Since this is one of the only big-chain supermarkets in town, it helps that they make it a pleasure to shop here. read more

I received horrible service while redeeming a winning Monopoly ticket. I told the cashier that I had a winning $5 ticket. He said the manager had to cash it out. Just then the manager (Mike) walked by. The cashier told him I had a winning Monopoly ticket. He said for me to go to the customer service desk. I did only to find no one working there. The nearby cashiers noticed me and asked what I needed. I told her and she said that the manager had to pay it and he was on break. I told her the cashier already told him about my ticket. She paged him (by name) 3 times. After 8 minutes he still hadn't shown up. Another manager or assistant manager arrived at that time and quickly paid my ticket. Mike should be on a permanent break. I stop here occasionally on my way home from work. Today I stopped because I needed to use their restroom. While I find the store to be just fine, neat and tidy with a fair selection of things, the women's restroom today was not great. It is a small, single person restroom and today it was dirty and smelled lightly (but noticeably) like urine. It was stocked with toilet paper, soap and paper towels, but really needed a cleaning. I had to play with the handle to get the flush to trigger and there was no where to hang my purse. If you don't need to pee, this store is fine. read more

I'm going to start with the positives and end this review with the negatives. The staff is always nice. If i cant find something, they usually walk me to said item and point it out nicely. They always ask me if I need help to my car. They bag my things nicely. The store is adequately stocked with the essentials whenever I go. AAANNNNNNNNNDDDDDDDDDD thats about it. The parking lot is littered with carts constantly. It's a zoo to find parking. The produce and meats are not the freshest I've seen in a chain grocery store. The bathrooms are disgusting( and I pee standing up!). And finally, the lack of checkers. There is no such thing as a quick trip to this Vons. Plan at least 15 minutes in a line. No matter what time of day it is, there are always only a max of 3 checkers and one of them is excessively slow. I hate to leave a negative review, but this is totally something that could be fixed with more cashiers. TL;DR long lines, small amount of cashiers. Nice employees. read more

I stop at your deli I got some kind of corn salad and potato salad. The corn salad taste and smells like hell. The potato salad had no flavour and potatoes are still hard not cooked. Also three mini sandwiches also taste like hell read more

The customer service is lacking,the sales items are rarely stocked, and the prices are high. Don't try and get pizza or deli soup on a Friday or Sat. night. They never refill them. I try not to go here, but in a pinch. Bummer that this place doesn't hire people with better customer service skills. I have been going here for years and am always disappointed. Today I went for some light grocery shopping and to pick up a sandwich from the deli. I saw strawberries as being advertised on sale and every single container had at least one berry covered in mold! Then I went to the deli and the girl working behind the counter sat there and talked to her friend for over 10 minutes before acknowledging that there was a customer waiting for service. The deli was out of nearly every veggie and add on, and the dressing containers behind the counter were covered in some sort of gooey substance that resembled jelly and old avocado goop. It looked like it hadn't been cleaned in days. My sandwich was slapped together and falling apart before she even wrapped it up to give it to me. read more

I love this place. I know, I know- it's just a grocery store. Still, the customer service there will wow you. The people who work there are friendly and helpful, even when you're buying condoms and gatorade at 11 at night. The produce department is fantastic, and has all those exotic fruit that cost six bucks a piece that I'll probably never taste. There bakery department is amazing. Those people churn out the onion-and-cheese kaiser rolls that dreams are made of. Other things: -The aisles are wide -they play eighties music on the store radio -they sometimes have great sales on cosmetics, which is strange for a food store. read more

Have lived in Fillmore for 2 yrs. Have learned to check every item for experation date. Frequently find items that are grossly expired. Today I committed to begin driving to the neighboring city to shop from now on. purchased a skin care product last week, went to use it 2 days later. product exp. 6/2013. When I returned to exchange it all of this item were expired by 14-26 months!! Within the last 6 months have gotten home to discover multiple items of produce, yogurt, milk, etc have been expired. read more

I have avoided writing this review forever because I wanted to be wrong... I am in complete shock of how horrible and rude the customer service is here. I honestly leave pissed every time!! Lol. I worked at vons for 3 years and even though I knew it wasn't my life time career I always gave customer service my 100% because Everyone deserves to be respected and that was my job to be a good kind worker! And we HAD to have great customer service or we would get written up or a talked to by manager! Vons always wanted everyone to feel good about shopping there and I respect that, because I'd want the same as a customer?!? Well I dread coming to this vons, the checkers don't even say hi, they are always having there own conversations with the baggers, which I don't need anyone to ask me a million questions or anything but be polite and say hello! At the very least!!! They don't even look at you or say your welcome or anything!!! They are all so miserable or in there own little world! It's pathetic and makes me not want to shop there! Everything here is expired. Seriously. I go grocery shopping every week, and it never fails, I go to put it away and it's expired. Shouldn't I be able to trust that the food stocked on the shelves is edible? So frustrating. Also, I don't mind bagging my own groceries, even though they have baggers (not sure where they are when I check out?) but maybe, since they aren't bagging, you can have them checking expiration dates. This is the worst Vons i have ever been to. Not only are their items always expired. The checkers are very immature and unprofessional with Lina who is a supervisor being the worst one. i complained recently about items being expired on a local facebook page. There must have been over 200 people who agreed with me and went to corporate about it. Instead of getting their act together and doing something about it Lina makes sure to let other checkers know when im in line to check out. These cashiers spend way too much time socializing. I've been living in Fillmore for 6 months and until today this store was my local grocery - but I won't shop there again. For 6 months I've taken a regular tour through the store to pick up items: first stop has usually been the liquor stacks at the front - pick up a bottle of JD or tequila and then get on with the shopping... but today I was followed into the bakery section by a bag girl telling me to return the bottle of whiskey I put in my basket for collection at the check-stand later. The reason from the store manager being, "these bottles up front are to be purchased from the check stand and, hey, you don't have to carry it around." Fine! But, in the meantime, while you sent the teenage bag girl to find me and return the bottle, you made me look like a potential criminal. So, no - if you have problems with people stealing from you, maybe you put the safety-lock on bottles like every other store, including the Rite-Aid next door. Instead, what you did was make a regular customer feel like a suspect and I won't play along. Goodbye. And besides, your deli is terrible, your bakery is half-assed and, sadly, I will now have to do my shopping in Castaic or Santa Clarita for the slight you have committed.
