Outstanding Employee I can't say enough wonderful things about Jeanette at Ralph's! She is consistently professional, knowledgeable, fast, and incredibly helpful. She has come to my rescue several times at the self-checkout, and she always seems to know exactly what to do. Today, I had a particularly embarrassing moment when I accidentally left my wallet behind. When I came back, Jeanette immediately recognized me and asked, "Did you leave your wallet here?" I was so relieved! She also does an outstanding job managing the self-checkout area and keeping the lines moving, even when things get hectic. She has an amazing ability to handle the crowd while remaining friendly, patient, and composed. Jeanette always seems to have a smile on her face, and I genuinely enjoy seeing her whenever I come to Ralph's. What's the point of having posted hours if they never stay open until 1am. Multiple times now they have closed by 11:40pm. One of these times the manager was at the door letting people out and not in. When asked she stated they stop letting people in at 11:30pm and she shrugged when the posted time was pointed out to her. read more

They canceled my custom cake the day of the party and didn't do anything to fix it! I do my weekly grocery shopping at Ralphs, spending $200+ per week for my family over the past 7 years. Or, at least I did... I'll never be back. Vons has never let me down with custom cake orders and they'll be my new grocer from now on. Story time... I ordered a custom cake from Ralph's bakery over a week in advance for my daughter's 3rd birthday. I even called two days before to confirm everything was on track. Then, just four hours before the party, I got a call saying they were canceling my order because "no one was available to make the cake." When I expressed how unacceptable that was, they offered an alternative--cupcakes with rings featuring the same character theme as the cake. It wasn't ideal, but I appreciated the effort and agreed. 10 minutes later, they called again to say they didn't actually have the rings either, and that all they could do was refund the $30 for the original cake ordered. At that point, I was scrambling, calling more than a dozen local bakeries at the last minute to find anyone who could make something for my daughter's party. Thankfully, I found one, but it cost over $100 because it was such short notice. After spending a week trying to reach a manager at Ralph's to discuss what happened, I was told the same thing: all they could do was refund the $30 cake I never received. No offer to make things right, nothing. This is completely unacceptable. Ralph's bakery failed to deliver on a confirmed order, failed on their backup offer, and failed to take any accountability. If you care about your event, do not rely on Ralph's for anything important--they clearly can't be trusted to follow through. read more

GETTING HERE: This Ralph's is on Victoria across the parking lot (facing) CVS. It's adjacent to where CBTL and Nothing Bundt Cakes are located (my other 2 fave stores). ;-) REVIEW: I prefer this Ralph's over most other grocery stores, to be honest. I prefer the store set-up, it feels larger and more open compared to other competitors where I always feel cramped in their aisles. I love the deli, bakery, shelves are always well-stocked (even post c 1 9). I've not yet used their Pharmacy but maybe one day. Sometimes, they seem to be short checkers during their busy times, but such is life. I do recommend, if nothing else the ease of the location (parking is a breeze) and you can ideally run all your errands in this one strip mall. read more

The self serve checkout lady on Friday, June 19 2026 at 4:30 PM was so incredibly rude to me, blocked the checkout aisle so I could not self check, while talking to another woman, and when I politely ask them to move after waiting, she looks at me and says you could've gone to number five. I have no idea what that means. I don't work there and I was just about to spend $80? In this day and age with food that way and price is the way they are? Lady you have no gratitude and you're lucky you have a job and you might want to treat people who are spending their hard earned money a little better instead of mouthing off to them like they're annoying you. It's enough that I have to check out my own groceries. I don't need your smart sarcastic lip. This store is off my list. I am never going here again because when I complained, I went back to check. I can't complain about the selection, quality, and convenient location. I am very disappointed with the lack of checkers. People like me who buy wine or other liquor are, by law, forced to go thru the checkout stand. I accept that. But I stood in a 9-person-long line today, Thursday, at 11:00 am. I always avoid popular shopping days/times, so this seems wrong. It happened last time I shopped there too. I seem to be the one who tries to get attention of someone to open up another stand, but no one managing the store proactively pays attention to the lines and does something about it. I'll be going to Pt. Hueneme instead unless I see things improve. At least, PRETEND you care about your customers. read more

I live 2 blocks away so I go often.maybe 4 times a week .I never had an issue ,until yesterday July 3 ..the store had alot of items on clearance so I took my time and looked thru them...I went to check out and was treated horribly by an employee I have never seen named Jazmine..she had Christian tattoos all over her arms but treated me like she was a disrespectful,rude,racist..she acted like she did not have time to deal with my order.rolling her eyes throwing my items..anger and hate came spuing out of her pores.i paid and left. I went in and used the self checkout and my payment didn't go through (I didn't notice) and he called me back and publicly accused me of stealing. he was making comment and laughing as my card wouldn't go through all the while a creepy man next to me was making creepy comments. I can always count on Ralph's when my wife needs something from the store. They're always stocked up, and you can see on their app what aisles the food is on with picture's. So I don't bring the wrong items anymore. Score! And their late hours are great if we forget something that we need the next morning. The store is clean and organized whenever I go. read more

It's a great place to shop the employees are extremely nice all the time I have shopped there. I saw a couple comments about the employees being rude in some occasions that I've been in their customer are extremely rude to the employees before the employee gets mad. The employees at the store are people too others should treat them w/ respect. The ambiance is always on point & food is great as well. Time and time again this store proves that customer service is not something that is a priority to them. The service in the deli department is by far one of the worse. Employees will walk by again and again ignoring the 4+ customers standing there for over 5 minutes without even acknowledging them. Their prices are never competitive, you can buy the same exact products in other Kroger stores and I really don't understand why. I used to visit and shop regularly at this store, they used to have a great guy working the deli but now... the service has definitely gone down the drain. And management should really work on keeping dogs out of the store. I mean c'mon it's a grocery store!! I get it if it was an actual service dog but what I saw was not that! read more

I really enjoyed shopping at this store, as Ralphs is my personal choice of grocery store. When moving to Ventura, I was very happy to find that this store was within a couple miles of my house. The store is big and well kept, and staff has always been pleasant. However, my family has had issues regarding missing items consistently, and this past visit was our last straw. My grocery trips are usually once or twice a month and is well over $200 on most trips. Meaning we get MANY items. Usually 50 or more items. That said, it is very difficult to keep track of every single item we purchase. In the past, they have not bagged small items, for example, a snack lunch box for my daughter, a bag of Goldfish, air fresheners, etc. We always notice days later when we are looking for said items, double check the receipt to make sure we bought it, but again, it is already after we have left and we live busy lives so we never have followed up to get our $3-4 item. Back to the most recent offense- My family and I again had a huge grocery trip with about 70 items, around a $250 trip. As the woman finished bagging my groceries, I had to point out that she had forgotten to bag two items that had veered off to her side. No problem, she bagged them. THEN, we get home and realize that a cleaning brush ($7) was missing. We checked the receipt to make sure that we purchased it- and we did. So we decided to call the store because we really needed this brush to clean our bathrooms with. The manager said it was no problem and to come back to get it. Now this is where I went wrong, right then and there, I should have gone through all of my items to see if anything else was misplaced, but, I didn't. A few days go by and I realize that there are even more items missing: Lysol spray, pancake mix, Febreze, and a couple of other small food and cleaning items. Again I checked the receipt and we were charged for everything, but somehow the items did not make it in the back. It totaled to be around $25-30 worth of items misplaced. When we called again, the manager told us that she could not replace these items, as we had already called and come in for the toilet brush. She basically said that we could continue calling and claiming that certain things were misplaced. I kind of understand that, but a the same time, this is a consistent issue that we've experienced at this location and has now resulted in the loss of probably close to $75 worth of missing items. It is very disheartening. For these reasons, we unfortunately will not be shopping at this location any longer as we simply cannot afford to keep paying for items that the employees are consistently misplacing. It is absolutely ridiculous. Do better. read more

I saw the price of BOK CHOY was $1.29/1b. I noticed that the displayer showed me was $1.99/1b when I paid. Then I talked to the cashier that I saw it's $1.29/1b by my 3rd language(English)... I walked to the goods shelf again after I paid. Then I took a picture to show the cashier. She said the computer shows $1.99/1b... I was in a hurry to leave so did not talk to the manager. So, apparently the managers at this particular Ralph's allow dogs (NOT service dogs), but regular dogs to be brought into the store. I mentioned this to an employee and they says they have tried to say something about it but we're told to "just ignore it" because they care more about the money than keeping our food sanitary. There is nothing on the shelves at all. The store always looks terrible. I really think the management at this location is lacking. Up until recently, when the "Powers that Be" saw fit to "improve" the Ralph's at Victoria in Montalvo, I had shopped there for the past 15 years. NOW that it is improved, I am shopping less and less at Ralphs. I can get the same products, with lower prices at Vons, Aldi, Winco, Sprouts, or Smart and Final. The managers have been shuffled around, or retired. The Meat Dept has gone through 5 managers that I know of. Jimmy in Produce, Retired(?) replaced by someone who was so rude that I will never buy produce here again. Store Manager(?) they don't stay- WHY? Where do they go? I spoke to the Manager de jour today,(they seem to rotate through every other day!). The poor man got an ear full, but had to admit that it will do NOTHING. Because he can do NOTHING but admit that their prices continue to go up, and he has had no one to listen... And I can only say, MAYBE they will listen when the receipts begin to fall! I like the food prices of some items so I visit Ralphs occasionally. The store has a pleasant ambiance to it. However, I believe one or two cashiers are racially profiling, and possibly the store is as well. I was at the self-checkout and the usual pretty assistant woman that is very nice was not there, instead there was a heavy and homely looking woman. I briefly smiled when she helped me with a machine malfunction while I was getting my groceries. I just paid and was bagging my groceries and another cashier, another heavier woman, walked up to the first self-checkout cashier and the two just like stood there quiet next to each other, pretending not to watch me. It was stupid because just seconds ago I just paid for my items. They were literally standing there almost next to me in the middle of the isle saying nothing. But then I heard the cashier mumble "its getting bad out there now". What she said stuck with me as I recalled that I think the same woman said the same thing a long time ago. Of course she is probably referring to the fact a person of color is shopping there. Yeah I agree it is 'getting bad out there' with attitudes like that that get hired to work there. I also believe on occasion they will page the police department if someone 'suspicious' is entering their store, which is just more profiling. The old Ralphs that used to be on Telephone was better. Edit update: I will not shop here again unless I must, just not worth it anyway. Dropped a star because yes the store PA announcements were egregious profiling in my opinion. on a Sunday afternoon I was shopping at the ventura location. I was alarmed to see a patron with a pit bull terrier roaming the isles. He had a hard time holding control of the dog. I was forced down an isle to avoid contact with the dog. I later was checking out and noticed the dog and it's owner behind me in line, I snapped a picture of the dog and reported it to the clerk. I explained that my daughter and I felt extremely uncomfortable and unsafe. My daughter subsequently heard the clerk compliment the owner on the beauty of his dog. The dog owner chased me into car traffic demanding I delete the photo. I had to scream for help and eventually he retreated. The parking lot itself is being overrun by drifters camping in their vehicles. There should be a two hour limit for parking. I have contacted Kroger customer care for some assistance in making me and others feel safe in the store. They created a case number and assured me I would be contacted. That was two weeks ago. Still not a peep? I'm pretty sure that pit bulls are not supposed to be in grocery stores in California. Ralphs clearly condones unsanitary pets in the store where we buy our food. Whats next, goats and horses? Join me in avoiding this store altogether, it is obvious they don't value customers their customers safety and shopping experience. read more

I don't come to this side of town too often but when I do I'm happy to shop at Ralphs. I've ordered their free-range thanksgiving turkeys here before and done general grocery shopping too. Last night I stopped in to pick up some sodas, bread, and lunch meat. I ended up impulse-buying some rock crab claws that were on sale because their sale-by date was the next day. Sadly, when I got them home one of the claws was actually moldy and I had to throw that one away. They were really cheap though so I don't hold it against them too badly. The store was clean, well lit and had wide aisles. Employees were happy to help me and the in-house food all looked so good! Self-check out went quickly and I was back on my way. I would definitely recommend stopping here. Main downside is the parking lot is a little tough to navigate. read more

So I've been going to Ralphs forever it seems like. If not this one on Victoria then other ones in Oxnard or the San Fernando Valley. I've always like their produce and the prices have always been less than Vons. They have a large supply of different brands and their sales are pretty good as well. Lately there seems to be a plentiful supply of toilet paper and paper towels. I say "When in Rome - Get it now while you can" This Ralphs on Victoria is nice a big. Makes for wide isles. I'm not a lookie lou shopper. I have a list and know exactly where to go and what I want. Of course there are those times that I happen upon say...the Easter isle. Cadbury Eggs galore. I admit I am addicted. Also with the wide isles it makes it nice to have to not keep asking people to move so you can get to what you want while they are still trying to decide. Ken at the deli is amazing. He takes special care in preparing my deli orders. Folds the lunch meat beautifully so I can easily take a slice at a time and make my sandwiches. Other places just seem to pile it all on top and not really care about the fact that I would have to struggle with trying to pull it apart for my sandwich. I would say that the only draw back is that you now have to either bring your own bags and You have to bag them or you can "buy" their bags and they will bag for you. While I have noticed that the females bag better than the males (I wonder if there is a bagging training? I wish there was) I have chosen not to waste plastic and do my own bagging. However this does take longer so the person behind me may have to wait until I finish bagging. Sorry about that. read more

Bravo to Ralph's butchers / meat counter persons. I wanted a reasonably priced standing rib roast and decided to start with my neighborhood store. A butcherrolled out a tall rack with roasts prepped and packaged, ready to go. I found one exactly the size I wanted. I let it dry uncovered in the frig for a couple of days and roasted it for Christmas dinner: absolutely perfect. Bones were trimmed but tied on so we have those to gnaw on. Thanks!!! read more
