Astonishing to say the least. Nice convenient store that sells a bunch of snacks and drinks of all kinds. There is a deli mart which I will be reviewing today. Service was okay. There were a married couple who owned the place I believe who were friendly and nice to customers based on what I saw. The guy, probably thought I was a weirdo because I was browsing the store for a while without buying anything. The woman at the deli took my order. I ordered 2 sandwiches that looked interesting from the pictures and so I decided to order the mama and the Tony sandwich. Honestly, it was alright. It needed more flavor, but at least the food was decent. Deli meats not my thing. Maybe I should have gotten a burger instead. Otherwise, wait time to receive food was short, maybe 10 minutes or less. I ordered an essential water while I was at it. I signed up for some rewards program there after ordering. Drinks abundant but overall, I thought the food itself was alright. Service was better than the food. Quantity was massive though and price was sort of higher than I thought it would be given the value of the food. For $40 for two sandwiches, I wish I got chips with it or some other side like a fruit plate or salad would be complementary for brownie points. The sandwiches however, better than jersey mikes and probably healthier too. Subway is worse than both, I still believe the sandwiches at the deli in Greenberg is impossible to beat in Vegas. So yeah, this place is not on Greenberg level at New York New York in Vegas. The ambiance near the beach is spectacular, weather and no crime is absolutely stunning features. Open late with good times everyday is a bonus point. The Japanese place next door is really good too. read more

I got the turkey and cheese sandwich, it was incredible and the Macsalad which was unlike any other macsalad I've tried it had a different type of seasoning that was so great. They have food here that you can buy at a grocery store which incluides milk, cheese, vegetables, hot dogs, bacon, etc. I come here for liquor as they have a lot of options. The good liquor options are behind the counter. They also sell sandwhiches and burgers here until 6:30pm as of October 2024 so keep that in mind if the time changes for this. I have been hearing about this place for a while so I finally took the plunge on my cheat day. The staff was incredibly nice and helped navigate the menu; recommendations and their favorites. I opted for the pastrami on white and a side of mac salad. I wanted to add mushrooms but when I found out it was $4.50 extra, I decided to skip that (pretty steep considering a carton of mushrooms at Vons is $2.50). While I waited for my food, I checked out the mart a little bit. It's very clean, organized and welcoming; smiling faces all around. I learned that they have a Ventura location which is literally right by my house that I didn't know about. They had a lot of to-go orders going out but mannnn were they on it. My order took all of about 8 minutes. Decided to eat in my car facing the harbor. I was bummed that I forgot to ask for napkins and peppers... but they were in the sandwich bag! Bonus points!!! Let me tell you, this sammy was SMOKIN' HOT. Not warm. HOT. I love my food HOT! The flavor was fantastic! Perfectly seasoned and cooked pastrami; pickle, mustard, lettuce, secret sauce... unreal. I really loved the bread, too! It reminded me of the Italian rolls my mom used to serve sandwiches on (the perfect fluff)! Since it was my first time, I wasn't sure what to expect but I think next time I'll go lighter on the sauce and add extra meat. But no joke, it was a killer sando. The mac salad was good but on the sweeter side so just be aware of that. Loved the addition of celery and scallions for that nice crunch. The seating area is cute and clean; quiet. Go around the corner and you can watch the boats at the harbor (such a fantastic view). If you want amazing sandos, great service and views... this is your spot. The food was a 5.0 stars. 2 of us shared a hot pastrami sando-comes with all the fixings, nice soft bread-big enough to share-excellent. very tasty and lean pastrami. potato salad was very good, prepared quickly, brought to our table outside, decent price. Mostly a takeout place but there are a few tables inside and two picnic benches outside. Very friendly staff. My only complaint is that half way through our meal, the cook (a woman in an arm sling) came outside and smoked 15ft up wind from us---no other outside tables for us to move to (the other one had a chain smoker at it). We endured as we were almost done eating and she was obviously on a quick break.--I understand that her break time is limited and outside is her only option but I also think smokers sometimes don't realize how horrible their smoke smells and ruins the taste of food for others. As she re-entered the deli, she politely asked us how the food was and we responded "excellent". We will be back as it is a great lunch spot for us whether it is a kayak or biking day. read more

This is a great lunch spot near the Navy Base. Their service is very friendly and quick. My sandwich was made quickly after I ordered. The restaurant is located in a convenient store. They offer indoor and outdoor seating. My coworker and I opted inside seating because it was warmer inside. The pastrami sandwich was delicious! Stopped here on my way back from voting. Heard about this place, so I picked up a sandwich. Hot pastrami. Opted to omit lettuce, onion, tomato, pickles. So it was just meat, cheese mustard. It was tasty. Large sandwich and would've been bigger had I kept the other items in it. Do I feel good about dropping $20 for a sandwich and a bag of chips? No, but the sandwich was a good size (splittable) unless you're really hungry. Space was a little tight between the sandwich counter and the liquor mart part. It took about 10 minutes until my sandwich was ready to go, not too bad. There is plenty of parking at the harbor during the week. I'll try a cold sandwich next time. read more

Tucked in a strip mall along the harbor, is a little mini-Mart with the most delicious deli sandwiches and (random as this is) stuffed grape leaves -- made daily and LITERALLY the best that I've ever had -- and I have Greek friends (sorry Yiayia Vasiliou). My go to is the Hot Pastrami Sandwich (hot) with double meat, grilled onions, Swiss, spinach & avocado) and a side of the grape leaves. Yes, you need to wait. But you can peruse the mart's wine selection, grab some Cheetos or laundry detergent while you're waiting. Yes, it's pretty expensive. Sometimes you just have to do what you have to do. Truthfully, the sandwiches are messy regardless of the wrapping (very juicy). Make sure you grab plenty of napkins. I've had the burgers and, while pretty good, I'd still just stick with the sandwiches if I were you. The real non-negotiable is the grape leaves. Flavorful and just melt in your mouth. You've never had grape leaves like this before. Just get them. You'll thank me later. read more

I've had many a liquor store deli sandwich and they're typically very "meh" at best. This is not a liquor store with a deli. No, no, no...This is a fine sandwich establishment that just happens to also carry bevvies. My goodness, my kids hot dogs looked like the best hotdogs I've ever seen and both were eaten quickly. Hubs got the mama's special and I got the Nima's special. Both were exactly that. Special. The dressing they use, the bread, the pickles, the meat is sliced to the perfect thickness.
