Turkey on white bread
Jason S.

Very good sandwiches. Very nice and beautiful staff. If not for all good yelp reviews, I would not have noticed this place. It's at the very BOTTOM of Callens Rd. It's in an industrial area and when I went right before noon, it seemed that most of the customers were industrial workers. The ladies their were quick to help customers and get the orders out right. The ingredients all tasted good and fresh. They have a combo meal which included a large sandwich, bag of chips and soda for $7.25. The value is great. Good stuff will return.

Note: between 2-2.5 stars The location is tucked away behind industrial companies, but it's pretty easy to locate once there. They are at the corner and they do have a small parking lot behind the small store front. The store itself has no seating, but there are two 'picnic' tables outside I presume are meant for dining there if you like. In regards to the store, it's a no frill, order and be served. Should be noted that prices have increased, but looks like the sandwiches and subs are about the same in terms of quantity (comparing previous images). In total, we had an Italian sub as well as a Reuben Sandwich - each were done with a special lunch combination. Price-wise, not a bad deal where one gets a sandwich/sub (large), a bag of chips, and a drink. Service is relatively quick and polite. You can pay with cash or card. The Reuben. Decent amount of meat and sauerkraut provided in the sandwich itself and 3 pickle spears to accompany it. The Russian white sauce is a bit lacking, but it's kind of there. Nothing wrong with the Reuben meat itself, but the sauerkraut is definitely on the bland side. Very subtle acidity and not strong enough to balance the sandwich out in our opinion. In regards to the construct of the sandwich, the bread is multi-grain and three slices are provided. They are toasted and the meat itself is microwave heated instead of a pan-grill or panini-style grill. It comes out as a hot sandwich, but just made differently. The Italian Sub. A large sub and decent quantity, but disappointing still. Mainly because for an Italian sub, it's mean to have olive oil, vinegar, pepper, Italian seasoning, and provolone cheese, but Mastro's Italian sub has American cheddar, mayo, and mustard instead. Next, they have pastrami and salami deli meat in there, but they used bologna (baloney) as the third deli meat, which apparently is a big no-no. So I am told. To me, I thought it was on the cheap end to use bologna and a different type of meat could have been used. What I would have ultimately preferred was not to use American cheddar as I think provolone would have been much better instead. Granted, the meat and cheese are personal preferences. There were some lettuce and pepperoncini in the sandwich itself to offset the sub's savory taste. The bread itself was a bit on the stale side, but it's a decent amount of bread to be had for that price point. All in all, decent for the price point for the Reuben, but debatable for us for the Italian sub. Not bad if you are in the area and want something for value. Appears to me that a lot of people visit the location if they work in the area and are buying a sandwich to eat in their car or back to work to eat. Worth a try for one's opinion, but don't hold extremely high hopes for a great sandwich or sub.

Sides, drinks and other food items are available in the mart as well. My fresh juicy burger was made to order with my specifications; cheese, lettuce, and sauce on a pita instead of a bun. Yep, so good!!! Don't sleep on the incredible international variety of snacks and sweets such as chocolates from England and chips from Japan. A plentiful variety of soda, water, beer, wine and liquor round out this food Mecca. Sorry folks, while the Harbor Mart shop is open Sunday-Saturday 8am-9pm, the deli hours are 10:00-6:30 Monday-Saturday. Although the deli is closed Sundays, there are still plenty of tasty foods and treats to meet your hunger. There's even an automated coffee machine if you're looking for a latte of a hot chocolate for the kids. Don't sleep on buying the hot dogs here, they are filling and OUTTA THIS WORLD!!!

We haven't been to this area in three years and they opened about three years ago so we have never tried it before But based on the reviews, we decided to stop in for lunch. The menu is divided between American offerings like hamburgers and some Mediterranean options as well as salads so a pretty good overall number of options. This is not only a restaurant, but it is also a market that has lots of Good selections and is quite nice. The service was amazing when I walked in the door one of the family members who owned the place greeted me personally showed me around and told me how the food ordering works. Nice seating outdoors and highly recommended place if you are in Ventura Harbor. Please support this family business is awesome.

I clearly Said who I was with the first time, and I clearly stated what was ordered. The second time two days after , i tried the ham because it had a bad review the last time I came in. I wanted to try it, and give you the benefit of the doubt... so much for that, I mean how hard is it to screw up a boarshead meat sandwich? . Based on the 3 meat sandwiches last time, and the ones I saw being eaten while we were there, it definitely wasn't the usual meat. Or WAS IT???. BUT I EVEN took a picture of it. Just in case you came back and got rude in your response like you have in the past when you don't like when others don't leave you a good review. . We even came back in TODAY and wanted to give it ONE LAST TRY and so i ordered a hot Italian and it was LACKING meat and any flavor, the sandwich is literally the smallest SUB i have had in 37 years! . so Now. I will leave this a solid zero review.. So everyone can see what type of company you genuinely run... I went to Five Points Meat Market to purchase approximately 11-12 bone-in short ribs. The total came to about 8.5 pounds, costing over $140. I have purchased meat from Five Points Meat Market in the past and previously received satisfactory cuts, so I did not thoroughly inspect the short ribs at the time of purchase. When I prepared the ribs on Christmas Day, I discovered that the majority of the cuts were almost entirely fat. I trimmed away as much fat as possible, but even after trimming, the ribs remained excessively fatty. Out of the entire order, I was only able to salvage about six ribs with a reasonable amount of meat, and even those still contained significant fat. Three of the ribs were unusable and had to be discarded due to the lack of meat. Because it was Christmas Day and grocery stores were closing as I was preparing dinner, I had no choice but to cook the ribs anyway. Despite removing most of the visible fat, a couple of my family members experienced mild stomach discomfort due to how fatty the meat was. While I understand that short ribs naturally contain fat and this is a dish my family prepares often, I have never received such poor-quality short ribs before. There were leftovers, but no one wanted to eat them. Overall, this was an extremely disappointing experience, especially given the price. In hindsight, I should have purchased the short ribs from Sprouts, where the cuts appeared to be significantly meatier, less fatty, and 100% grass-fed at a lower cost.
