Pastrami sandwich woodside deli style is what I'm going to call it from here on out
    Andrew G.

The sandwiches are top tier for a local bodega that's is hidden. It's definitely a diamond in the rough. I work down the street and was recommended to try it and haven't stopped. I go about once a week. I started with the Italian sub but recently got swayed by the lovely woman who works there to have the pastrami and haven't gone back to the Italian. If you are near or simply looking for a good sandwich stop by, you won't regret it

    Tuna Sandwich

Wow, sorry to say I've been driving by this market for 10 years and never thought to step inside. I assumed it was just a liquor store and when I had seen signs that they had a deli I felt unsure. Finally over the weekend I was looking for a meal that wouldn't break the bank and was close to home. Wanted to try something new and these guys popped up on my door dash. I figured it was worth a try and I always want to support local, especially a little independent market like themselves. I can't rate my overall customer service and ambiance experience as I didn't go in but I can acknowledge that my order was made super quickly and got to me correctly and clearly made with love. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is simple. It's a market store sandwich. It was definitely a good easy spot to grab a bite but people claiming these to be some of the best sandwiches around? I think they need to get out more...lol. I would say for a market casual sandwich I was super happy with the quality and portions. These sandwiches are exactly what you would expect them to be and I was impressed given that I didn't know much about this place. If I had to recommend a sandwich definitely go with the Tuna Sandwich as so many had written about. It was really good! The bread was perfectly soft, the tuna flavorful, and I appreciate that when you ask for mayo they dress the sandwich nicely, I'm a saucy girl. Overall it was a good sandwich for sure. My only upgrade is to pay to add extra tuna, the bread is so bouncy and soft but thick that the tuna kinda gets lost in the bread. The portion size was still plenty generous, but next time I'll pay to add double. Would have made it perfect. Definitely get this sandwich if you come, it was done right. I'm happy to say I tried the gyro. It hit the spot but I also wouldn't necessarily get it again. The highlights were that the bread was soft and they loaded this gyro with meat, much appreciated! The meat tasted fine enough but I've had better gyro meat around town. Also I do agree the sauce just wasn't for me, a little too thick and not the traditional cucumber yogurt sauce that I normally like with a gyro. Some will not mind this, I am just particular about my gyros. Again, the portions though were super impressive. All in all for a small deli market, this place has solid sandwiches and are worth checking out if you're in the area and wanting to support local.

These sandwiches are soooo good. Made to order, super fresh! Making them a perfect size for hungry adult. Paired with a baklava pastry. 10/10!!!

I love this market. I come here for my Italian sandwich. I love it. I highly recommend them to any family or friend. Miranda makes the best sandwiches. She is the best. Thank you for their service.

I wasn't expecting to find one of the best sandwiches I've had at a liquor store, but wow this place proved me wrong! The sandwich was fresh, packed with flavor, and made with quality ingredients that tasted like they came straight from a deli. The bread had the perfect crunch on the outside and softness inside, the meats and cheese were generous, and everything was balanced just right. Definitely not your average "grab-and-go" spot--this felt more like a hidden gem. I'll definitely be coming back for another!

Every sandwich I've had has excellent presentation , great portion , and even better taste .

    Chicken shawarma

The chicken shawarma on the pita bread is delicious and all the staff is very friendly and inviting. Always good food and a clean store with many options.

Great gyros and the store is quite close to the 101 freeway with easy access. If you like gyros on fresh pita, consider Westside Market.

This appears to be a liquor store and does not have enough groceries to steer us away from other larger grocery stores.

I went into this establishment a little over a month ago. There was a sign on the large seedless…read morewatermelon that read $0.99 each. As my son LOVES watermelon I got three. When I went to pay the watermelon rang up as $0.99/pound. I explained to the cashier, Carol, that the sign stated they were $0.99/each. Carol said she didn't know what to do and called the manager. I believe her name either Victoria or Veronica. When she came up I asked her name. She stated "I'm the store owner," and pointed to the sign hanging from the ceiling with her picture on it. I explained the situation and she said she would not honor the price advertised. I explained that it was false advertising and she laughed and began to walk away while laughing. I told her I was going to report to the BBB. I went back to the register and Carol began to be rude and making little side comments. While I was talking she yelled and told me to "BE QUIET, STOP TALKING." I went to find the owner and she came to the register. She asked Carol to take a break and she was still yelling at me. She rang me up and honored the advertised price for one watermelon Today, I went in to get a few things. The Poppi sodas were out front. The advertisement on the pallet stated $1.99 for a 4 pack. I did not see that it said "for a 4 pack." However, all the cases of Poppi were in packs of 8. There were absolutely zero 4 packs, all the boxes were boxes of 8. I guess they want you to open the boxes up and take out 4? This is false advertising and completely misleading. Additionally, there was a box of soup with about 12 bowls in them. They were labled as $0.99 each. This is also misleading as we thought the box was $099. Again, the boxes that were with the advertisement were all packaged in boxes of 12. There were no individual soups out. When I tried to explain to the cashier she stated "well don't get mad at the cashier." I replied and told her I wasn't mad, I was just trying to explain. She laughed in my face multiple times, then another man at the register chimed in. He stated I was mad being mean to the cashier. He said I was raising my voice and continued to threaten to kick me out. He stated I was making a scene. The conversation went on as he said multiple other things. I asked for his name and he said "I'm the manager, I'm Albert." Okay- I didn't ask his role there, just his name, but he thought it important to flex his managerial position. At one point a customer chimed in and began making comments. This man stated "well if it's too good to be true, it probably is. Mind you, this man had two boxes of the same soups that we were getting but decided to put them back when he heard the price! lol! The manger Albert kept talking and telling me to leave and that I could go to another store. All I was doing was explaining that the advertising was misleading. Before I left I asked for the female cashiers name. She kept laughing then said her name was "Ms. Janice." After, she asked me for my name. I stated that I was just a customer and did not need to provide her with my name. This is so misleading! How are they going to Price things individually but have them put in a whole package...? Lastly, I don't believe that either of them were very professional. Albert, as a manager, should've stepped in when the customer began making comments, instead of letting him chime in and potentially escalate the situation. As a manager, he should've been able to talk to everyone calmly, apologize for the misleading information and fix the signage. Instead he proceeded to be rude, unprofessional and demeaning. This man is never happy or smiling when I go into the store- I don't think he likes his job very much. He is never warm or inviting to the customers. Mi would stay away from here if you like honesty, because they definitely are not that.
