I like this place a lot. I had the breakfast burrito with bacon and it was flavorful and moist but…read morenot messy. They serve it with a grilled fresh green chili pepper. I shared this delight with my husband and we both enjoyed it. We tried a couple of the giant pastries that were on trays in a baking rack. You use a provided pair of tongs or plastic bag to pull your choice of pastry from the various trays. We tried two different croissant style confections and both were a hit. Though I have to say these were huge and we brought them home to eat them over a couple of days The fiilings are not overly sweet and have unique tastes like mango or pineapple. The crust is not flaky like a croissant nor is it dense like a cake but something in between with the creamy filling. There are picnic type tables outside on a narrow patio that you may have to clean off yourself if the previous patrons haven't tidied up after themselves. Inside, there's a wonderful, immaculately clean dining area with classic Mexican barrel chairs and tables. The floor is covered in dark tiles and it is very spacious. This is an order at the counter shop with the register and small bodega in the front as you walk in from the street. You place your order from a menu posted above and behind the register. That order is sent to the kitchen and your food is called out when it's ready. The market continues in the space behind the register, where you'll find all kinds of offerings from south of the border. The kitchen and deli is housed back there and I cannot stress how clean everything is. I would come back here again and again.

First off, this is a store, not a restaurant, that being said, it's a decent store that sells food…read more The inside is not that great, not very clean. The service is ok. They see you, but you still have to ask for service. The food is ok, but considering the area, the food is probably considered great. Calm your expectations when coming here for food. Compared to great, this would be a step above average.

My review has two parts…read more First, avoid using Uber Eats if you can. They completely mishandled my order and made no effort to resolve the issue. It's nearly impossible to reach a live person, and the whole experience was incredibly frustrating. Second, I can't say enough about Manny, the GM at Rosa Madera. Even though the problem wasn't the restaurant's fault, he handled the situation with genuine care, professionalism, and integrity. He made me feel like my experience truly mattered, and that's something you don't forget. My order was so completely wrong that he immediately knew exactly which order it was. He took ownership of a situation he didn't create, and that's the mark of exceptional leadership. Rosa Madera is fortunate to have Manny. Because of the way he treated me, they've earned a loyal customer. Oh, and the food was incredible! We had the camarones zarandeados and the queso fundido, and both were absolutely amazing. I HIGHLY recommend Rosa Madera. I sincerely hope Manny receives the recognition he deserves for representing Rosa Madera so well. Great managers make a lasting impression, and he certainly did that!

But this time, our server, Luis went above and beyond with the service we've had. Very attentive, has the most amazing attitude, always smiling, and checking up on our table. It's because of employees like him, that we'll continue returning for this great customer service. Thank you for your amazing food and great customer service that you provide.

So after being put on hold a few times and getting disconnected a few times, I finally spoke to a woman, Jennifer, who apologized to me and asked me how could she help me. I told her what I wanted and she said she would talk to Kurt, and then call me back instead of putting me on hold again. Later that day she called me and asked me how many cases did I want and which of the Kendall Jackson's did I want and I told her. Between her and Kurt they ordered the wine for me and said they would call me when it was in which would have been two days. I thanked her so much for her help and kindness. I did get a text message from Kurt that my wine was there and ready to be picked up at the Customer Service desk and it was. I was thrilled with that. I don't shop there very often because I've been shopping at another store for many years and I'm comfortable there. I know the store really well and I'm happy with the relationship I have with quite a lot of the employees including the Store Manager. I will say that I have shopped in this store a few times and they really do have quite the selection. I'm impressed! Anyway, thanks so much for the great experience and I promise I will shop there sometimes as well. Sincerely, Terry S.

Last Saturday my boyfriend and I checked out our groceries at TILL 8 and Mike M was working with a tall fair skinned teen with curly hair. Mikes opening line for conversation was "Are you excited for the super bowl?" My boyfriend responded that he was but more excited for the halftime show. Mike got visibly irritated and that simple comment struck a nerve because he went on this whole rant about how "back in his day" the halftime show didn't push a political agenda and actually had an entertaining performance. We tried de escalating the situation by letting him know we just liked the artist and we weren't trying to be political however he doubled down and kept going about how there's two half time shows and nudging on his co worker about it. The whole interaction was stifling and uncomfortable. He even added that him and his family were arguing over which half time show to actually watch. How is this appropriate conversation for grocery store check out? Especially coming from an employee from Trader Joe's. The lack of professionalism was so shocking from this grown man. After he finally finished bagging out stuff and heard his whole rant, I said "that's crazy" more so at the audacity of the whole interaction than the questions he kept asking us about this alternative show. The cherry on top was him and the teen employee mocking me while we were walking away saying "that's crazy" So disappointing as every other TJ i've been to has been kind, welcoming and inclusive. This guy let his personal beliefs stain the positive vibes trader joe's employees and store usually give

I've been to a lot of different Rocket Fizz locations and they are all more alike than different…read more And that's a good thing. I love the diverse selection of candy and novelty items. Rocket Fizz stores have such a fun vibe. I love that Rocket Fizz carries really obscure old timey candy bars (like Zero Bars, so good served frozen). And I love their huge selection of Salt Water Taffy. I never actually buy Salt Water Taffy here, but I enjoy what the seemingly endless barrels of the stuff contribute to the aesthetic. It's the same thing with the facsimile posters that cover the walls of every Rocket Fizz. Super fun to look at while shopping. Don't really need to own any. Another great thing about Rocket Fizz is that they stock a wide variety of imported candy. You jonesing for a Lion Bar or a coconut filled Bounty Bar, don't even trip. You can get your fix here. And what's so cool about this particular Rocket Fizz location is they had a lot of versions of familiar candy bars that I had never seen before. Maybe they have these selections at all Rocket Fizz locations these days. I dunno. But this is the first time I saw a bunch of these versions. Berry Whip Snickers. Butterscotch Snickers. Strawberry Snickers, Passion Fruit Snickers. So many weird Snickers. I gotta get me a Butterscotch one. Sea Salt Rocky Road was new to me too. Rocky Road is one of my candy bars, and I bet the Sea Salt version is fantastic. I might never know. I rarely buy candy at Rocket Fizz because their prices are exorbitant. For me, Rocket Fizz is a fun place to visit but I mostly buy my candy elsewhere. The only thing I buy at Rocket Fizz with any regularity is Root Beer. They have a pretty good selection of pure cane sugar Root Beers. But again, the price per bottle is crazy high. Yeah, you get a little bit of a discount when you buy larger quantities but still, the prices are steep. Nevertheless, when my Root Beer supply gets too low and I don't feel like making a pilgrimage down to Galco's, I'm super happy Rocket Fizz is there for me. And every once in a while I'll splurge for one of those overpriced candy bars. Sometimes a Euro candy bar hits just right. Mikey C says: great, now I'm craving a Toblerone.

They have some pricey imported Asian snacks as well that are harder to find if you're looking for something unique to try or for gifts. Wouldn't go for regular candies though.
