My freezer looks like a CrossFit gym for carnivores. The short ribs? Slapped. The ribeyes? Melted like butter on a therapist's couch. But some of those other cuts? Let's just say I've had warmer hugs from TSA. Look, I get it "blast frozen." Cool marketing. Sounds like something Elon Musk would do to a cow. But if I thaw it for three hours and it still tastes like witness-protection chicken, we've got beef (literally). Still, you've got range, from boujee Wagyu to "I'm just tryna impress someone who thinks air-fryer steak is gourmet." Packaging's clean, store is solid and the website makes me feel like I'm building a meat-based investment portfolio.

The space is small but perfectly situated with an abundant amount of protein options galore. With such a variety of cuts that aren't often available in normal grocery stores of even butcher shops. Items like picanna and frenched pork rib roast, to elk and bison steaks there is something for everyone including seafood. There a small section of extra items like pastas, brads and veggies along with seasoning options. Pricing was fantastic and compared well. My freezer is well stocked now.

Considering I went on a Monday afternoon with steady traffic still a good environment to be at with the aroma of good food, sounds of hustle and bustle in the background but overall peace with company as I enjoyed and ate my burrito. If not nearby they do announce the customers name over a speaker especially if one grabbed a table on the other side of the produce area. They served up tacos, burritos, plates and other Mexican specialties and prices were reasonable for what you get. We got two plates which came with rice, guacamole/sour cream/salsa and refried beans along with choice of corn or flour tortillas. Carnitas was lean and tasty. Al pastor plate seemed to have a slightly different seasoning than the other Mexican restaurants closer to us. It was still a good and filling. One thing to note was that the parking lot was shared with the American Legion next door so if they hold an event then the lot gets packed. Luckily we didn't have to wait too long for one spot to open u

So after being put on hold a few times and getting disconnected a few times, I finally spoke to a woman, Jennifer, who apologized to me and asked me how could she help me. I told her what I wanted and she said she would talk to Kurt, and then call me back instead of putting me on hold again. Later that day she called me and asked me how many cases did I want and which of the Kendall Jackson's did I want and I told her. Between her and Kurt they ordered the wine for me and said they would call me when it was in which would have been two days. I thanked her so much for her help and kindness. I did get a text message from Kurt that my wine was there and ready to be picked up at the Customer Service desk and it was. I was thrilled with that. I don't shop there very often because I've been shopping at another store for many years and I'm comfortable there. I know the store really well and I'm happy with the relationship I have with quite a lot of the employees including the Store Manager. I will say that I have shopped in this store a few times and they really do have quite the selection. I'm impressed! Anyway, thanks so much for the great experience and I promise I will shop there sometimes as well. Sincerely, Terry S.

Last Saturday my boyfriend and I checked out our groceries at TILL 8 and Mike M was working with a tall fair skinned teen with curly hair. Mikes opening line for conversation was "Are you excited for the super bowl?" My boyfriend responded that he was but more excited for the halftime show. Mike got visibly irritated and that simple comment struck a nerve because he went on this whole rant about how "back in his day" the halftime show didn't push a political agenda and actually had an entertaining performance. We tried de escalating the situation by letting him know we just liked the artist and we weren't trying to be political however he doubled down and kept going about how there's two half time shows and nudging on his co worker about it. The whole interaction was stifling and uncomfortable. He even added that him and his family were arguing over which half time show to actually watch. How is this appropriate conversation for grocery store check out? Especially coming from an employee from Trader Joe's. The lack of professionalism was so shocking from this grown man. After he finally finished bagging out stuff and heard his whole rant, I said "that's crazy" more so at the audacity of the whole interaction than the questions he kept asking us about this alternative show. The cherry on top was him and the teen employee mocking me while we were walking away saying "that's crazy" So disappointing as every other TJ i've been to has been kind, welcoming and inclusive. Rocket Fizz stores have such a fun vibe. I love that Rocket Fizz carries really obscure old timey candy bars (like Zero Bars, so good served frozen). And I love their huge selection of Salt Water Taffy. I never actually buy Salt Water Taffy here, but I enjoy what the seemingly endless barrels of the stuff contribute to the aesthetic. It's the same thing with the facsimile posters that cover the walls of every Rocket Fizz. Super fun to look at while shopping. Don't really need to own any. Another great thing about Rocket Fizz is that they stock a wide variety of imported candy. You jonesing for a Lion Bar or a coconut filled Bounty Bar, don't even trip. You can get your fix here. And what's so cool about this particular Rocket Fizz location is they had a lot of versions of familiar candy bars that I had never seen before. Maybe they have these selections at all Rocket Fizz locations these days. I dunno. But this is the first time I saw a bunch of these versions. Berry Whip Snickers. Butterscotch Snickers. Strawberry Snickers, Passion Fruit Snickers. So many weird Snickers. I gotta get me a Butterscotch one. Sea Salt Rocky Road was new to me too. Rocky Road is one of my candy bars, and I bet the Sea Salt version is fantastic. I might never know. I rarely buy candy at Rocket Fizz because their prices are exorbitant. For me, Rocket Fizz is a fun place to visit but I mostly buy my candy elsewhere. The only thing I buy at Rocket Fizz with any regularity is Root Beer. They have a pretty good selection of pure cane sugar Root Beers. But again, the price per bottle is crazy high. Yeah, you get a little bit of a discount when you buy larger quantities but still, the prices are steep. Nevertheless, when my Root Beer supply gets too low and I don't feel like making a pilgrimage down to Galco's, I'm super happy Rocket Fizz is there for me. And every once in a while I'll splurge for one of those overpriced candy bars. Sometimes a Euro candy bar hits just right. Mikey C says: great, now I'm craving a Toblerone.

They have some pricey imported Asian snacks as well that are harder to find if you're looking for something unique to try or for gifts. Wouldn't go for regular candies though.
