'Cause you're a sky, 'cause you're a sky full of pan 'Cause you light up the path... Good pan dulce at a reasonable price. I was in the neighborhood (as your friendly neighborhood spiderman would say) early in the morning and looked up a place that opened before 6am. I was trying to figure out which pan dulce to get. They have coffee ready to go right next to the pan dulce. I went with the good ol' faithful concha. It hit the spot at the break of dawn. I ended up taking pan dulce for my wife and kids. In my wife's words the pan dulce was macizo which is a good thing. They have some seating right outside which is nice, not something you see at panaderias. They just had their 1 year anniversary and hope they have many more years to come. God bless

Shoutout to Yelpers Eri & Melissa who rave about this panaderia because it was everything that I was missing. The staff was friendly and there are many selections of conchas and other pastries to choose from. It was clean, bright, and inviting. For a long time I have been on the hunt for a good Cafe de Olla. Lucero did that and more! It was SPOT ON!! I highly recommend their Cafe de Olla and I cannot wait to come back again and again just for the drink. Thank you Panaderia Lucero!

Very tasty treats can be found in the latest Panaderia in Camarillo. I tried a few of them so far and haven't been disappointed yet. My favorite so far is the chocolate croissants. I also had a couple different Cafe Ollas, one with egg nog and the other one with horchata. Both are a little bit too sweet for me. I could see how most people would enjoy it though. The people here are super nice and helpful too. One of the best parts is they open at 530am so people like myself have a place to get some delicious breakfast. I look forward to trying many different things here in the future. I recommend giving them a try.

Stopped by while in town. Tons of parking which is always a plus. Small shop. Ordered a cafe de olla with horchata. Paid cash .. 4% discount if cash is used. Great customer service . I did not purchase pan but it looked legit. Now to the cafe de olla. I did not like it. The flavors to me were not there for a cafe de olla. I know many it love it and I suggest you try it for yourself. Why 5/5? Though I did not love the cafe de olla , their customer service is amazing. I felt so welcomed and seen. So many places lack this and that is what will make me return to try other things! Such a cute panadería! Love the logo and I can see it's def a local fave!

Shoutout to Jara and Jess B for their stellar reviews of this spot because as soon as I read their reviews I knew I had to get over here ASAP. Prior to opening I was slowly watching this place be built up and was eager to give them a try. Really impressed that they just recently opened and they appear to have already gotten their footing and are cranking out awesome pastries, desserts, and coffee. I love love love that this spot opens EARLY! For us early birds it's nice to have a local panaderia that's open before 7am in sleepy old Camarillo. I'm happy I have a new spot to grab an early morning coffee after the gym or on the way to the office. There is plenty of parking and the signage was clear making this spot easy to find even though it's not off one of the main larger roads. Staff here are super nice and welcoming. When I walked in I could see guys hard at work behind the wall prepping food and a nice gal came to the register and welcomed me in. She likely could tell it was my first time as I wasn't sure how to grab the pastries as I didn't see little bags lol. She told me to grab a tray, tongs to get some pastries, and then she would bag them up for me. Fun concept for sure and I've seen this done at some other places, it had just been a while. Grabbed myself a guava pastry, a corn muffin, and a slice of tres leches cake. Also grabbed a friend an apple strudel. Couldn't leave without one of my favorite hot drinks - cafe de olla. For a coffee and two bags filled with goodies it was under $20, you can't beat that! The cafe de olla was perfectly hot and flavorful. Love that rich flavor and notes of cinnamon. My guava pastry was also pretty darn good. The real winner was the tres leches cake. This one wasn't as milky as some places but still good flavor. What really sold me on their recipe were the notes of cinnamon in the whip cream topping. A really good slice of cake overall. Everything I tried was definitely 4.5-5 stars worthy. Very excited that we have a spot like this in Camarillo now. I'll definitely be a local and happy to support this new business. The bakery is clean, welcoming, and has a great assortment to choose from if you come early enough. Nice people work here and the food and drinks are quality, an easy 5 star establishment.

What a nice experience. The Carmel nino envuelto and tres leches were super moist. They get high marks. Very explanatory and helpful. It was an easy and clean environment. I'm going to try a concha(a pan Dulce) and a cafe de oro coffee next time. Seemed very fresh and very pleasant. I recommend this little spot. Such an enjoyable experience. Get a couple things to see what you like. I did. I believe there is a small discount for cash. But, seemed affordable. Very quick and very tasty.

The place felt like a small business that the locals love! Wish I could have tried more things but the bread I got was pretty good. Would have gone great with their coffee.

Customer Service: super helpful, patient, and kind. In today's world this is becoming more rare, but much appreciated when it does take place. Makes the experience much more pleasant. Cleanliness: very clean Prices: super affordable for the quality and quantity you get Food: - torta de chicharrón prensado surpassed my expectations. The bread was bolillo, you do have a choice on whether you'd prefer bolillo or telera, I went for bolillo. The size of this torta was huge. - agua de pepino con chía was delicious and refreshing. Not too sweet, but not too bitter. I'm coming back next time for a torta de jamón o queso de puerco. Yuuuuum!

    SMORES CAFE DE OLLA

I had placed a door dash order and my car wouldn't start. They offered to make my coffee for free later since I couldn't pick it up! Love the customer service! The S'mores cafe de olla is the best ! You won't regret getting it!

Panaderia Lucero is fantastic! Their baked goods are always fresh and delicious, but their Horchata de Olla is a must-try, perfectly sweet and full of flavor. I also love their Red Bull drinks for a refreshing boost. The staff is super friendly, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. Whether you're here for pastries or drinks, Panaderia Lucero never disappoints!

I've seen a handful of panaderias in town but was a little intimidated to enter. However, this new place opened up in Camarillo and I'll admit, I was motivated primarily for the cafe de olla. While I was there, I figured I'd pick up a couple treats. The cafe de olla was AMAZING and we also tried the concha and sema. The concha tasted better after heating it up a little bit and my mom enjoyed the sema since she doesn't like breads that are too sweet. The staff were very sweet and I love supporting such humble, family-owned businesses! There are lots of other goodies I'll have to try the next time I come back for my cafe de olla fix.

Those are the positives and that's where it ends. Let's start with the main product, coffee. It's HORRIBLE! I could be snarky and insulting but I kind of feel bad for them. I've tried a few drinks and there is this crazy after taste that is simply unpleasant. The baked goods are hot and miss at best. Often dry and tasteless. Now, the staff. Over the years they've had some wonderful people, but the good ones don't seem to stay more than a few months. For whatever reason they retain anyone devoid of personality and energy. Product knowledge is virtually nonexistent. Enthusiasm? You'd think that the caffeine would wake them up, but no. It's like they are on heroin. I've interacted with someone who I'm told was the owner, but I can't imagine someone so blah and uninterested decided to open a coffee shop. This place has potential if they simply replace the coffee, staff, and sell to someone who actually cares.
