I think street parking would be your best bet, however, you can drive up the side street near the residential areas if needed. Look for the 999 Pizza place. REVIEW: First timer to the location in Cam! To know me is to know that I am obsessed with their brown butter toffee cookies. I have been known to clear out the inventory at the Ventura (mall) location, #sorrynotsorry. They are THAT good. Trust me. So, this order was to go, but the inside seemed airy and open, loved the open vibe. There's a good amount of outside seating too, so if that's your preference, I would choose that option. The pastries are outstanding and feel like something you'd find in a much larger city. The atmosphere is warm, inviting, and classy without being pretentious. This location is charming, albeit smaller than the Flagship Ventura location. They still keep that European charm and due to the smaller space, it is a cozier, calmer cafe. When I was there, it was mid afternoon (before closing) so it was calmer all around. I love their pastries, but the recent price increases do make them a luxury item. Kouign Amann are my fave, but any of their croissants are also great. Had a Hot chocolate at the Camarillo location, and they even had a little latte art in the milk foam. Server was much more talkative and friendly because it wasn't crowded when I went. In general I felt a friendlier warm vibe compared to Ventura location, but either one is great for classic European vibe, and great pastries. read more

Stopped here on the way to Santa Barbara and got a vanilla oat latte, drip coffee, and their ham and cheese croissant. The latte was delicious, it was really the perfect ratio of milk, espresso, and syrup. They use verve coffee beans so it's good quality coffee! Two hours into our drive back to LA, and we were met by a sea of brake lights all aglow -- the 101 Fwy is backed up (as expected) -- and a good excuse to pull over for a quick break, which made La Ficelle in Camarillo the perfect stop. I've been to their much larger location in Ventura, so its familiar nameplate was a welcome sight. Nibbles for this afternoon were Kouign-Amann and Pain au Chocolat, and espresso (of course!). The former pastry is the delectable meeting between a buttery croissant and a glaze of caramelized sugar - with the unexpected pinch of salt on top to balance out the sweetness. Superb! And of course, Pain au Chocolat pairs perfectly with the espresso -- its bitter notes cutting through the buttery, flaky layers. Sweetness from the chocolate -- and the contrasting bitterness was great for the late afternoon's cool down. I'd love to rate this place a 5, but the outside patio's floor was an unattended collection of today's menus, attracting birds, that made me think back to St. Mark's Square, with birds gathering around discarded food. Stopped here on a whim with a coworker. She mentioned this place for our quick morning break. I bake sourdough bread so their sourdough boules caught my eye. Cafe Ficelle is just so adorable. I come here to get quality coffee whenever I come to visit my parents in Camarillo. Normally I get an iced long black (yum) or a oat milk cortado (also yum). This time I decided to get one of their Pour Over options, specifically the Guatemala. It was full bodied and delicious. They also have bread, tons of pastries, and a breakfast cafe menu with a decent variety. I recommend the avocado toast! The people there are kind as well. This place was an amazing little breakfast find while staying in Camarillo for a wedding. My family usually likes a small little cafe type place for breakfast instead of some local diner. A simple but well laid out drink menu on the wall and a glass case full of fresh looking baked goods. I was very impressed when I saw their English muffins. They seemed to be corn dusted and have a wonderful shape and color. I was even more excited when I saw that they have a breakfast sandwich using those English muffins. I ordered that and a cup of cold brew. They asked my milk preference which I always appreciate. Actually, everyone at the counter taking the orders and preparing the food and drinks were incredibly nice. Probably some of the best service I have had a cafe recently. My wife ordered a cafe au lait and the liege waffle breakfast. My daughter ordered a chocolate croissant and while she was looking at the options and asking questions the woman at the counter was very polite and answered the questions that my 7 year old had. I won't get into it too much but everything that was ordered was incredible. The breakfast sandwich was a bit messy so I ended up using a knife and fork but that was literally the only negative thing I could think. I've really enjoyed my cups of coffee at Cafe Ficelle. As a creature of habit, I typically order an iced coffee, but no matter the size of the line, the cashiers are friendly and my order is brought out quite quickly. Unfortunately, the prices are high, but I think that this is pretty average for most businesses in the coffee game. I don't drink coffee daily, so this is a nice treat, and I find myself alert and perking up as I drink more and more. You can also have coffee/food at tables indoors or outdoors. I was there with my little one so I had the carseat and stroller with me. The space inside is limited which I was not aware of when I decided to come. I was planning to sit outside with him instead. However the cashier kept her eyes open for a seat to open up and immediately notified me while I was waiting for my order to be ready. I really appreciated. Eating out with a baby is hard especially when you have equipment but I always appreciate people that look out for you to make your experience easier and enjoyable.
