This is my go to spot for breakfast. Everything on their menu is excellent. Today I had the pancake n egg breakfast. Pancakes are always fluffy and delicious, eggs cooked great. Sausage is always so flavorful and the bacon was crisp. Great breakfast as always, but, for some reason the coffee was not up to par. They even brewed a new batch but I still could not drink it. Their crepes always hit and love that they always give them when you sit down. This was my third time dining here. And I hate to say that I was disappointed. I ordered the same thing I ordered before: chicken enchilada omelette but this time it was lacking flavor. It was unfortunate and I thought it was just me but my mom ordered the same thing and mentioned it lacked salt. Service was excellent and attentive. Great food! Everything was fresh and delicious. I got the French toast it was perfect. Not too sweet or eggy, you can add toppings to it like fresh fruit or whipped cream. Great coffee too. Also you get a free Swedish pancake with your order! Which they were so delicious! Service wise they were super nice and attentive, constantly coming over to ask if we needed anything. Friendly attitude. No issues. Locations has a private parking lot but there are other restaurants so it does get crowded. Not tons to do around the area, small shops, but mainly other food places. Brunch with friends on a Monday morning. No problem getting a table at 11 AM. The restaurant is located in a strip mall just off Las Posas. Lots of free parking right in front of the restaurant. Catherine, our server, came by soon after we sat down to get our beverage order. Service remained very good throughout (coffee frequently refilled and reheated). I went with the Italian omelet with a side of fruit and a plain bagel ($16). Very tasty. My wife got the California omelet with a side of potatoes ($16). That one was outstanding! Coffee lover here but Coffee was 2/5 Stars. I had Thousand Oaks location coffee and it was 4/5 Stars. My friend ordered iced coffee - she said it's bad. I tasted it and she was right. Where do I begin? Although the customer service was decent, the food was awful! Very disappointed with it. Details: My hibiscus mimosa was not tasty. I ordered the chicken fried steak. My husband, the NY steak and eggs. I asked for over hard eggs. They seemed like flat crepe eggs. The potatoes tasted a week old and were over cooked and burnt. My chicken steak was very salty. My husband asked for a medium rare steak. It was over cooked. The waitress took it back only to bring him an over seasoned, extremely salty steak that was very tough to chew. Now we have a very young kid that gets to enjoy in the experience. The plates here are huge. We always get the same steak plate and sampler plate, my little eats a couple bites of eggs and some pancakes. My daughter loves when they bring us the little crepes before the meal. This time, after we ordered and he was dropping off crepes, the waiter looked at my little girl (5yo) in the face and said she didn't get one because she didn't order a meal. We had brunch here yesterday and the food was as consistent as usual. The girls at the host stand were polite and friendly and let us know that it would be a fifteen-minute wait. No problem as they have nice benches along the wall outside and it was a nice day. Called us over the outdoor speaker after 5 minutes and gave us a comfortable booth. Wife ordered some hot chocolate that she said was delicious and came with a generous amount of whip cream. She had the diced ham scramble and said it was delicious. It was a very generous portion, and she took about half of it home. I ordered the chicken fried steak and eggs. I love chicken fried steak and try new breakfast places just to test their version. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is the chicken fried steak. They needed more gravy on it and the gravy itself needed either more sausage or bacon in it. I go all the time to the Thousand Oaks and Camarillo locations. At the Camarillo location they charge a $1.00 egg fee. It was $0.50. Egg prices are are going down. I can't believe I hadn't been here sooner. This place runs like a well oiled machine. I expected to have to wait for a table but they are clearing tables as fast as people are walking in the door. Truly impressive. There was never a large crowd waiting for tables, as soon as one party left, the table was cleaned and the hostess seated the next party. There is an ok amount of parking in the lot, luckily we found a spot without any issues but if it were any more crowded that might have been an issue. Service was AMAZING, very attentive.
