Coffee lover here but Coffee was 2/5 Stars. I had Thousand Oaks location coffee and it was 4/5 Stars. My friend ordered iced coffee - she said it's bad. I tasted it and she was right. It tasted same as my hot coffee (I already thought it was bad) but hers was iced. Breakfast food was primary reason for visit and it was 4/5 Stars. Cooks were good - food was fresh tomatoes (I did notice a black spot), bell peppers crispy, meat was nice in scrambled eggs. My favorite brunch spot in Camarillo! For a classic Camarillo experience, you've got to try this place and try to go on the weekdays since the weekends can get pretty crowded. Their crepes always hit and love that they always give them when you sit down. This was my third time dining here. And I hate to say that I was disappointed. I ordered the same thing I ordered before: chicken enchilada omelette but this time it was lacking flavor. It was unfortunate and I thought it was just me but my mom ordered the same thing and mentioned it lacked salt. Service was excellent and attentive. Great food! Everything was fresh and delicious. I got the French toast it was perfect. Not too sweet or eggy, you can add toppings to it like fresh fruit or whipped cream. Great coffee too. Also you get a free Swedish pancake with your order! Which they were so delicious! Service wise they were super nice and attentive, constantly coming over to ask if we needed anything. Friendly attitude. No issues. Locations has a private parking lot but there are other restaurants so it does get crowded. Not tons to do around the area, small shops, but mainly other food places. Brunch with friends on a Monday morning. No problem getting a table at 11 AM. The restaurant is located in a strip mall just off Las Posas. Lots of free parking right in front of the restaurant. Catherine, our server, came by soon after we sat down to get our beverage order. Service remained very good throughout (coffee frequently refilled and reheated). I went with the Italian omelet with a side of fruit and a plain bagel ($16). Very tasty. My wife got the California omelet with a side of potatoes ($16). That one was outstanding! My husband, the NY steak and eggs. I asked for over hard eggs. They seemed like flat crepe eggs. The potatoes tasted a week old and were over cooked and burnt. My chicken steak was very salty. My husband asked for a medium rare steak. It was over cooked. The waitress took it back only to bring him an over seasoned, extremely salty steak that was very tough to chew. Ordering is easy as I just ate at eggs n things the other day. We ordered the early bird ( before 9 am ) I got the corned beef and eggs and potatoes. It's good but very little corned beef, a thin spread. maybe it's the early bird size. Anyhow.. done eating and when paying, I got charged as the regular price. My waitresses said that I ordered from the regular price thus, I got the potatoes. This 1 star is not a reflection of the food, it is due to the actions of the waiter, Fernando. We have been coming here for 13 years. Now we have a very young kid that gets to enjoy in the experience. The plates here are huge. We always get the same steak plate and sampler plate, my little eats a couple bites of eggs and some pancakes. My daughter loves when they bring us the little crepes before the meal. This time, after we ordered and he was dropping off crepes, the waiter looked at my little girl (5yo) in the face and said she didn't get one because she didn't order a meal. He should have told me this when they rushed us to order and I gladly would have paid for one for her to have and enjoy as that is always her fav part. We had brunch here yesterday and the food was as consistent as usual. The girls at the host stand were polite and friendly and let us know that it would be a fifteen-minute wait. No problem as they have nice benches along the wall outside and it was a nice day. Called us over the outdoor speaker after 5 minutes and gave us a comfortable booth. Wife ordered some hot chocolate that she said was delicious and came with a generous amount of whip cream. She had the diced ham scramble and said it was delicious. It was a very generous portion, and she took about half of it home. I ordered the chicken fried steak and eggs. I love chicken fried steak and try new breakfast places just to test their version. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is the chicken fried steak. They needed more gravy on it and the gravy itself needed either more sausage or bacon in it. I go all the time to the Thousand Oaks and Camarillo locations. At the Camarillo location they charge a $1.00 egg fee. It was $0.50. Egg prices are are going down.
