Great service! Great variety of breakfast options. Blueberry pancakes 10 out of 10! Corned beef hash delicious! No oat milk for coffee and no gluten free toast options. Always disappointing at a higher cost restaurant. Pro tip- order hash browns and toast extra crispy as they were a wee bit underdone. Really, the servers make this place stand out. Always friendly and attentive! A pleasant Sunday morning experience. read more

Eggs N Things - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Ventura, California

We came here for Mother's Day breakfast with my family and were told the wait would only be about 10 minutes. Yes, it was busy, but honestly not nearly as packed as other places we had seen, so we decided to stay and wait. After about 30 minutes, we noticed multiple big groups being seated before us. My husband checked in again just to make sure we were still on the list. Then another 15 minutes passed, and I finally went up myself, only to find out we had never actually been checked in at all. At that point, I was frustrated and honestly embarrassed for my family because we had already waited so long with hungry kids, checking in multiple times, only to realize we had basically been forgotten. To their credit, I think the manager realized the mistake and got us seated pretty quickly after that. Once seated, the service was okay, but the food was unfortunately very underwhelming for the price. By then we were starving, so we ate most of it, but nothing besides the pancakes really stood out. Most of the food tasted bland and basic. The hostess seemed very inexperienced, and our waitress also seemed irritated when we asked to change one dish shortly after ordering. My advice would be to double-check several times that you are actually checked in if your name hasn't been called. And if you do eat here, stick with the pancakes. Unfortunately, we won't be coming back. read more

I love this place. Service is superb, quick, attentive. Menu has so many yummy options. Eggs are cooked perfectly, any way I have ordered from fried to specified hardness, to poached, to beautiful omelets. The pancakes are varied and delicious, not overly heavu or tough but light, flavorful, perfect. Excellent coffee. Exc3llent juices. I always have a hapoy smile after dining here. Can be very busy but not loud, & we've never had to wait long at all. read more

This is not the first time I've had an issue when getting something to go, but it keeps getting worse. I decided to try the steak and jalapeño omelette and it was so disappointing absolutely no flavor at all.. the steak was some shaved meat stuffed in the omelette they can at least season it a bit. My second issue I have with them why do they keep adding the toast in with the food it gets so soggy!! And lastly the gave me the most disgusting looking avocado who ever saw that avocado and decided to add it to the plate needs to be spoken to, let's use better judgement. I will say I never had an issue dinning in this is about the carelessness of to go food. Also the enchilada omelette I would skip it looks like an egg omelette with throw up on it and it doesn't take any better than it looks. read more

I've never had a restaurant ask me to remove the wrong food from my own plate. I ordered eggs with cottage potatoes, but got hash browns instead. I politely told Grace, and she came back with an empty plate and asked me to remove the hash browns myself after I already started eating the eggs THAT WERE ON THE SAME PLATE. It was awkward, unnecessary, and honestly just strange. Especially because she didn't even bring the correct potatoes at that time. She had me remove the hash browns, then a few minutes later brought the cottage potatoes on a completely different plate. What was the point? The manager later confirmed this wasn't their policy, which confirmed to me that the interaction was intentionally petty and almost vengeful for calling out the wrong order, which it obviously shouldn't be?? For a restaurant this expensive, I expected much better service. But tbh, no one should be acting that way over potatoes. Lol. So weird! read more

When I am in Ventura, I love to stop at eggs N things. The place is always clean and everyone working here is very friendly. The service is very good. The breakfast and breakfast specials are good and well priced. If you need breakfast, this is definitely the place to stop if you're in the area. Give them a try you will love it. read more

My wife and I stopped by for breakfast while our car was in for service at Toyota. We weren't very hungry, so we ordered from the Early Bird menu -- pancakes for me and French toast for my wife -- plus a bowl of clam chowder. The food was okay overall, but the complimentary crepe is always the best part. The server was friendly and fast, even though it was a busy Black Friday morning with the restaurant more than 80% full. One unique thing here: they offer a 3.5% discount if you pay with cash, which is a nice bonus. Overall, a solid breakfast spot for a casual morning meal. read more

What went well...um everything!! Eggs N Things got them thangs! Wonderful restaurant, I usually visit the one in Valencia, but today I was in Ventura and Eggs N Things travels well. Chicken fried steak for the win today, yummy biscuit and gravy. My Mom ordered something they have on the menu at the Valencia location, but not this location. Check my picture for the deets! They were busy today, but everything was perfect. This place is a well oiled machine and our waitress Shayla was totally spectacular!! Great, great customer service. My Mom requested a Valencia location menu item, Shayla didn't bat an eyelash putting it all together a al crate for her and for cheaper then the Valencia location and a bigger serving.....shhhh, don't tell the Valencia location. Thank you Eggs N Things for a wonderful Sunday breakfast this morning and thank you Shayla for supreme customer service. read more

I am not a French toast person. I am not the person who goes anywhere and orders a French toast. Neither do I make them at home because I'm just not a fan. HOWEVER, egg n things might have just changed the game for me. I ordered the macadamia nut crusted French toast with coconut flakes and syrup and it was incredible! Tasty all around! And they don't just put a little sprinkle of macadamia nuts. It's everywhere and I love it! I was actually even able to share it with someone because there was so much of it but next time I might just have to eat it all myself. I ordered it with the side of bacon and eggs and everything was up to par. I'm so excited to explore the menu here. read more

Normally like this place but we went in for breakfast for sitting by the window and a couple that didn't like the right sunlight three tables farther back as the bus boy to drop the curtains and he dropped them all the way to the ground at the booth we were sitting at without even asking us when we told the cashier about our rather bad experience she had no response and acted like she could care less. I was on my way to solvang for vacation and made a stop for breakfast. I came here around 10:30am on a Sunday and only had to wait 5 minutes for a table. Our waitress came by and took our order and the food came out quickly and hot! They have a ton of booths and tables inside but it does get busy. Our food was great! The breakfast burrito had sausage, egg, cheese and potato with sour cream and salsa on the side. It was so hot and tasted fresh. The Swedish pancakes are always amazing and delicious! I'm sad there isn't a location closer but if I'm headed this way I'll be back! read more

Was really disappointed with this visit, I feel like the quality has gone down. Service was okay, waitress poured my coffee and spilled around the menu. Acknowledged it but didn't apologize, just said she'd bring extra napkins and never did until I asked a second time. I ordered a salad, this was the saddest looking salad I have ever seen. Deli meat was just thrown in there. Not worth $18. Had to send it back. Potatoes were small, dry and over cooked. Waitress brought it up to manager and he did not come over to address it. Sad, but will not come back again. read more

Junk Fees are ridiculous on an already expensive menu. 3% for using a credit card...isn't that already factored in their $19 2-egg breakfast? 50-cents per egg dish charge. Ok, when eggs were sure expensive a few months ago ago, I could sympathize but now that prices have leveled off, it's unnecessary. Eggs n Things, there are lots of places offering breakfast, located close to you locations. That don't have the wait and are not nickeling and dining their loyal clients. Your addition of these tiny overcharges have cost you at least one loyal customer. I doubt I'm the only one. I'm a 3-times a month customer, going to your stores for 20+years with at least one other person. That makes my Lifetime value to your business around $43,000. I hope (and doubt) the $3 per ticket was worth that to you. read more

I believe I had this place to go before and I wasn't a fan then either. We were supposed to go to the Cam location but this one had no wait time so we came here - once again ... not a fan . The only thing I finished was the hash browns. The crepes were flavorless, even with the fruit. My husband enjoyed his French toast but my brother didn't care for his either. The service was great though! The establishment was clean. The pepper sauce was AMAZING!! I want to try the Camarillo location & see & maybe try this location for lunch but other than that - I'll pass. read more

Eggs N Things, happens to be one of my favorite restaurants to eat out at. I noticed that when they brought me the check, it showed an extra charge if I used a credit card, to pay for the bill. I for one did not, like this. It's too bad they have to do this. As the food prices are going up and up, eventually people are going to stop eating out as much and restaurants will see less and people eating out. read more

Came here on a busy Sunday. Seemed like any breakfast spot near Midtown Ventura was packed, so we opted to come here... Eggs 'N Things is located in the Target Shopping Center, in the Bed, Bath & Beyond side. Plenty of parking unless it's a busy day or there's a breakfast/lunch rush. They serve Breakfast & Lunch and they close everyday at 2pm. You go in & check in with the host. Waited about 10 minutes before they called our name & got seated. It was a packed house. Our lovely server was very friendly, polite & professional. I'm sorry I didn't get your name, but the next time I'm at Eggs 'N Things in Ventura, I will definitely look around & ask for you. I just wanted a simple breakfast & took a newbie for breakfast here too. You start off with a Swedish Pancake. Those are soo good! Kind of like a crêpe, just soft & sweet. It's like having dessert as an appetizer. For Breakfast, they offer Morning Specials, Pancakes, Swedish Pancakes, French Toast, Waffles, Scrambles & Omelettes... They have different Omelet variations. I enjoyed my Veggie Omelette with a side of fruit & an English Muffin. (You can choose the bread options they have). I asked for salsa on the side & was given a red salsa & a green salsa. Both salsas were good & complemented my omelette well. I had 1/2 of my omelette & saved the other 1/2 for to-go for the next day. My +1 enjoyed his Pancake Sampler, which is a basic breakfast of eggs, bacon, sausage with a side of hash browns & loved his thick & fluffy pancakes. Your server gives you your receipt & you pay on your way out at the front counter. *Pro Tip: They offer Early Bird Specials M-F until 9am. read more

I enjoy Eggs n Things... However, this will be my last visit... Today, I ordered the Shredded Pork Omelette.. Almost $18 for a "two egg omelette" with a few shreds of pork on top.. Coffee $3.95... NO Crepe delivered to the table ... Get my bill $24.50 before Tip.... I look a little closer, they have now added a separate line item upcharging-- $1.00 surcharge for "EGG" non-sense going on... "Stick the knife in and turn it"... When checking out.. they asked how was everything? I expressed my disappointment... Got excuses/back peddling and what felt like defensiveness... Interestingly, I had JUST been to the store this morning 4/16/25 and Eggs marked were $3.99, $4.99, $5.99 ( still too high) but come on Eggs n Things.. So, 2 Eggs at even- $7.00/dozen or .60/each = $1.20 or even if it was 3 eggs ( which it was not) $1.80 plus 2 pieces of bread .40 cents/estimate ( toast) and some hash brown potatoes .40 ( call it)... Material cost $2.00 :( read more

Best breakfast in the 805. Typically order the eggs Benedict with either hash brown potatoes or country style potatoes with bell peppers and onion. The eggs Benedict are always good. The hollandaise sauce is one of the best. Always rich, fresh and creamy. The rest of the crew had omelettes which they said were excellent. The restaurant always starts u off with some complimentary Swedish pancakes. They are so good with jam. The service is very good. The servers always come by to refill your coffee cup with a friendly smile. Very popular place. Recommend getting there early especially on weekends. Buen Provecho! read more

We have been going to this breakfast place for many many years. Service is always good. Portions are appropriate. We love the chilli Verde omelette, the corned, beef, hash, and their fresh baked biscuits and gravy. I used to love the chicken fried steak, but it has gone downhill, very dry and very overcooked. I've tried it several times and this is how it comes out. The hashbrowns we have complained about, seem to be leftovers and very thin. We will no longer order them. Don't know why the restaurant is going downhill like this. We are very disappointed because we've given them a chance to correct it. read more

My husband and I really love coming here for breakfast. If you're not from Ventura, and you're visiting, I highly recommend! Locals already know this place is good. On the weekends there is usually a line waiting to get in from the moment they open until about 11AM. The line starts to move faster around 10:30 AM after the 9AM rush dies down. But, sometimes there's still a bit of a wait. Be prepared. It's worth it! This restaurant loves their customers and loves what they do! The BEST breakfasts. Always consistently exceptional. The moment you are seated you're attended to. Coffee comes out quickly as well as creamers, waters, or whatever drink you choose. The waiters and waitresses are friendly and informative and attentive. The food is always fantastic. You get free crepes to enjoy while you wait. It's a bustling, happily noisy atmosphere where all the tables are always filled during breakfast and there's a comfort in that. The place is very clean. I really believe this location is a gem! Today we met a server / waitress named Alexis who was absolutely amazing! She was friendly and told us her favorite dishes when we asked. She was very gracious and kind. We felt she's a huge asset to the business! I hope they recognize her professionalism. We feel all businesses should have excellent customer service, and hers was exceptional. As is per usual when we dine here, we left very satisfied and happy with our meals. Thank you Eggs n' Things! We love your food! Yummmm! read more

Food is delicious, service is great and efficient. Environment is good. All 5 stars. I've never had a bad meal or poor service.

We came in probably about an hour before closing, not realizing what time it was or what time they closed and were seated without issue. Our server was fantastic and very hospitable and did everything she could to ensure we were taken care of. Everything started off great until my mom got to her second egg in her eggs Benedict just to get a mouthful of cooked egg shells. Upon further digging through the egg, MORE egg shell was found. It was like the chef just threw the entire egg in the pot and called it a day. Our server quickly tried to remedy the situation and spoke to her manager, Levi, who did not bother to come to our table ONCE to find out what happened. Instead he decided a $9 discount would suffice and sent our waitress back to us with a new bill. I told her honestly, we aren't paying for any of the Benedict so the manager needs to remove it entirely. She apologized and went to speak to him. She came back with it entirely off the bill and apologized again and asked if she could bring us anything else. Levi did not come over at all for this entire interaction and when we went to pay, all he had to say was "have enough?" I only got his name because I asked him, he had zero intention of addressing the situation and he threw his waitress under the bus making HER have to do HIS job in addressing the egg shell Benedict. Thank you so much Alyssa for doing such a fantastic job, again no one was upset with you and I applaud you for handling everything as a manager is meant to. Levi, you need to be more professional and learn how to handle things like a proper manager instead of hiding at the cash register and sending your servers to do your dirty work. Don't come here unless you happen to love cooked egg shells in your food and unprofessional management practices. read more
