We tried the egg roll sampler, including the cheeseburger eggrolls, 5/5 stars, avocado eggrolls 5/5 stars and Tex Mex egg rolls 6/5 stars and because, I wasn't a fan of the chicken taquitos I opted to double up on the cheese burger eggrolls rolls, the rest was enjoyable enough for a four-star visit. The service was very slow for how un-busy the bar area was, and our drinks weren't kept filled, which took away from a better experience .3/5 stars The desserts were great, especially the peach cheesecake with raspberry drizzle 5/5 stars traditional tiramisu 5/5:stars and key lime cheesecake 5/5 stars but the Fresh Strawberry Shortcake was a huge disappointment because it was strawberries, whipped cream, ice cream their regular biscuits instead of a true shortcake. 2/5 stars. Those two stars are for the strawberries and whipped cream the rest of the dessert was pretty disappointing I'm really glad that I ordered the peach cheesecake because my wife was totally disappointed in the shortcake using biscuits instead basically for traditional Cheesecake Factory desserts. My experience at The Cheesecake Factory was disappointing from start to finish. To start, our server seemed like she didn't want to be at work. I understand everyone has off days, especially when it's hot and busy, so I tried to be patient. However, the service was extremely slow. We were there for about two hours, and while she checked on us a few times, the overall experience felt awkward and inattentive. It was my 4-year-old daughter's birthday, and she excitedly kept telling our server. The response was simply, "Okay, do you want to order a cheesecake?" My daughter said yes, and I told the server that was fine. Before asking what flavor she wanted, the server immediately walked away. My daughter loudly said she wanted the Oreo cheesecake, which the server must have heard because that's what she eventually brought. What bothered me the most happened when my daughter and I went to the restroom. I frequently dine out alone with my daughter, and whenever we leave the table, I make sure to let someone know so they don't think we've left. While we were gone, a busser left a large bus tub on our booth seat. When we came back, I stood up near our table saying "Excuse me" several times, trying to get someone's attention. Multiple employees walked right past me without acknowledging me, and a few bussers just stared while I was clearly trying to get help. We were seated only one table away from the kitchen, so it was especially frustrating. Finally, a man walked by, and when I asked if he worked there, he said yes and removed the bin. I remember the days of ordering off the lunch specials menu and my bill being between $25-$35 with drink. On my latest visit I ordered the spicy rigatoni, plus chicken and a cocktail. Unfortunately, the waitress didn't hear me correctly when I asked for the lunch size special. The pasta came out to $25.90 and the passion fruit Margarita was about $16.95. The drink was good, but a little too sweet for my liking. The pasta was decent but I've had better . After tax and tip my meal came out to $56.81! My cousins bill was about the same price. She ordered the fettuccine Alfredo but it was undercooked. The noodles were kind of hard, and the flavor was bland. The quality definitely didn't match the price point. Despite the miscommunication on my order, our waitress was very friendly and did her best. The atmosphere was clean and the cheesecakes still look great. We were in town and headed here for lunch on a weekday. We wanted to sit inside and there was a 10 minute wait for a booth, not too bad. Sal was our server and he was great! He checked in on us, noticed and asked if wanted things replenished. We ordered the the Chicken Chipotle Pasta, the Asian Tenderloin Noodle Bowl, and a side of mashed potatoes. The food was delicious. The food portions are big. I probably ate a quarter of my pasta and my wife ate half of her noodle bowl. There are times where I do feel like I'm overpaying for a meal, but I'm aware of that prior to eating here, which is about once a year. Stopped in here and had to wait for the hostess to stop talking to her friends before she realized I was waiting for a table. I waited only to find out she said all the high tops are open seating and instead of giving me a menu where I sat she went back to talking. Sat there for over five minutes and had two servers go by my table and not one of them acknowledged I was there. So I got up and asked if anyone would help me out and can I at least get a menu. As servers ourselves, we understand the importance of accommodating guests and managing seating, which is why this experience was so disappointing. Our party had five people but only four chairs, so we asked the table next to us if we could borrow one of their extra chairs, and they kindly said yes. We also checked with the hostess beforehand, who told us it was completely okay. Despite both the neighboring table and the hostess approving it, Jessica, the manager, came over and had one of our group members get up and give the chair back, even though there were other open chairs available. The issue was never the chair... it was the way Jessica handled the situation. Her approach felt rude, dismissive, and unnecessarily embarrassing. She took the chair from us and didn't care offer another and said we could stand there. As servers, we know there are far more professional ways to communicate with guests. Hum...we took a four top out on the patio, todays weather was very pleasant. Our server was right out and we ordered drinks, water for M and I was brave and got the mint iced tea. The CCF menu is still thick, everything and nearly anything one would hope to enjoy. We decided to go to the lighter side of options, they have a separate menu for that too and after much deliberation we settled on a share. Ginger Chicken with quinoa and a diced veggie component for M and I chose the Cobb Salad with a house dressing. The chicken part was somewhat lite I thought. A Couple of side plates and we're eating half n' half, which worked out well. Food was good, nothing amazing but a good value, served up hot and fresh in a timely manner. The service was excellent we had a pro working this section, checking in on us and her other tables when needed. Veteran timing. With the plates cleared and another three hours home, M decided sugar and caffeine was a good idea. I seconded the motion and a double espresso with a nice size slice of raspberry cheesecake followed. There are more dessert selections than Dollie and Betty could have ever made, delicious too. She was attentive and super on top of things which we appreciated so that we could get in and out with ease. She consistently refilled our drinks and the food was well paced. She also brought the check quickly which we asked for - basically she was on point and I'd definitely sit at her table again. The food and drinks here are good. I loved my peach lemonade. It was super sweet, just how I like it. However almost $7 is a little steep. It's free refills which is nice but that's a lot. For my meal I had a cedar salad add crispy chicken. It was very tasty. Love that the salad is chopped which makes for an easier eating experience. Good flavor on the dressing. Everything I've eaten here over the years has been very good. Cheesecake for dessert is a special treat but they definitely have the best cheesecakes. The reason for the docked star is that I still think the pricing is pretty steep. I guess on one end it's big portions so you can maybe have leftovers but I don't find this spot to be a budget friendly meal as I usually would hope a chain to be. Mom and pop shops I'll gladly pay a little more but at a place cranking out dishes and running a standard business, I don't love the high price point. Tonight for two sodas and two entrees (pasta and salad) the tab was $70 before tip. Yikes! Lesson learned. The food was good and service even better, the atmosphere was comfortable but at those prices I don't think this spot would be on my regular rotation. I've been here a couple of times, but haven't written a review yet. Most of the time this place is pretty busy, but today we waited for longer than the time they told us it would be. We finally got a table and when we got to our table there were crumbs all over the floor. I let the waitress know, so they send someone to sweep it off. The food was good, my husband and I added a bit of salt to our food but that's just personal preference. Everything came our pretty quickly. I didn't a picture of my kid's plates but my son loved his pizza and my daughter loved her spaghetti and meatball. The portions are large. We didn't order cheese cake this time around, but we love their key lime cheesecake. I suggested going to Cheesecake Factory for my cousin's birthday, and it honestly turned out to be my biggest regret. The manager had an attitude from the start, and it took over an hour for our food to come out. They promised the birthday girl a complimentary cheesecake because of the delay, but when the food finally arrived, it was cold. They only offered to remake her dish, so I boxed mine up. We then had to wait another 30 minutes for her food while sitting there with no bread, no drinks, and no server checking on us. At that point, we decided it would be best to just box everything up and leave. When we tried to speak with the manager about waiting another 30 minutes after already waiting an hour, the response we got was, "I just feel like you guys can't be happy." I've never been the type to leave a review like this, but I'm honestly shocked by how everything was handled. REVIEW: This is my first time to this Cheesecake Factory and why?! did it take me so long? Fixing that ASAP. My guest and I were seated promptly. It was a chilly evening so we opted to eat inside. First off, the service was really great! Never have I ever been at a restaurant where I was thanked by name (after paying) for dining. While it could have flopped, it was a nice touch IMO and I appreciated that extra courtesy. I'm literally obsessed with the entire vibe, lighting, ambience inside and out. The food was really good! (I have 8 photos attached here and I pray that Yelp doesn't eat those pictures!) I had set up my parents, who rarely visit The Cheesecake Factory, with two $40 gift cards so they could enjoy a special night out. They decided to try the Oxnard location. Unfortunately, their experience was disappointing. Their bill came to just under $70. When they tried to pay with the gift cards, they were told they could not be accepted due to the internet being slow. This was never mentioned before or during their meal. The only reason my parents went was because they had these gift cards--now they're told they can't use them? When the manager was called over, he took the cards and said, "You guys can leave," then walked away looking visibly frustrated. My parents, shocked at the unprofessionalism, stayed at the table unsure what was happening. The waitress, who was wonderful and empathetic, even tried to get clarification from the manager again. She returned to say they could just leave. She apologized sincerely, and it was clear she was doing her best. Guests should be informed before ordering if certain payment methods can't be accepted. And no guest should be made to feel like an inconvenience. Either train staff to communicate clearly or take ownership when things go wrong.
