Beacon Coffee has been on my radar for years, mainly thanks to my local yelp elites. Finally stumbled in earlier in the week for a little pick me up and baked goodies. Beacon is located in Ventura nearby Posidon Brewing. Beacon is so cute inside. It's cozy, quiet, and a great spot to sip your bev and to get some work done. Service was super friendly and the vibes were very welcoming and warm. I'd definitely come back here. 5/5 Here's what I got: Iced Vanilla Matcha Latte - A classic matcha that was the perfect start to my day. It's no frills but hit the spot. The addition of a little vanilla for sweetness was key. A matcha done well is a matcha I'd come back for every-time. Cheddar & Chive Biscuit - GET THIS! One of the best biscuits I've had in a while. My pro tip is to just make sure you get it warmed up. I took mine back to the office, gave it a quick microwave and it was on point. The biscuit was super flaky and buttery. The cheese and chive combo made this biscuit super flavorful and nostalgic. Who doesn't love a freshly baked biscuit? Im already eager to come back for another one and I have no doubt that the rest of their baked goods are probably equally as phenomenal. The biscuit is made by big cheeks bakery, a fan favorite. I've slept on this spot for far too long but when I'm on this side of town I'll definitely be grabbing my drinks and breakfast snacks here.

Hands down best coffee in Ventura. Remains my go to spot! The staff and coffee are exceptional!

Found this place on Yelp while driving to Santa Ynez valley last weekend. The location surprised me a little and I thought we took a wrong turn but no... it's located in an industrial area near some offices and businesses. We got here around 7:30 am and there were quite a few people here already. That tells you something. And yes the coffee was really good. I got an iced matcha drink and loved it very much. The customer service was friendly and welcoming. Both indoor and outdoor seating is available. They do sell freshly baked pastries/croissants. Overall a great place to stop by for coffee while in Ventura county.

Ginger snap latte

What a find. On our way to Los Olivos for a day of wine-tasting, we stopped by for coffee and a bite to eat. I had the ginger snap latte which was creamy, foamy with the right amount of spice and sweetness, the hubby had a drip which was balanced and smooth. We split the caramelized onion and cheese danish and date scone. The danish was buttery, flakey and delicious, and the date scone was the sweet and creamy. The server was friendly and prompt, and the dinning are was small and intimate that felt like community. I look forward to returning another time we drive through Ventura.

Absolutely love this coffee shop! It's located in an industrial area, so its not somewhere you'd just stumble upon by accident. Let me tell you though, it's worth going out of your way. The shop itself is small and cozy with super-friendly staff making stellar coffees! Right now I'm obsessed with the pixie mocha, it has the perfect combination of orange & chocolate flavor. I usually end up grabbing myself a pastry too because every one that I've had is fresh and tasty as heck. Price-wise, everything is reasonable which I appreciate. Next time you're looking for your coffee fix, I highly recommend Beacon Coffee Company. :)

I had heard great things about this coffee shop, and I finally gave it a try. I ordered a warm vanilla latte and it was very delicious. Truly one of the best I've had. The only downside is that the space is a bit small and crowded with limited seating. Aside from that, everything about the coffee experience was great.

We had talked about trying Beacon for such a long time, so it was fun to finally make it over. We had no idea there was even a coffee shop in the area, so we never would have found it if we hadn't been recommended to it! Smaller shop but with plenty of coffee options and some tasty pastries. Great cold brew and a tasty matcha latte. They offer different brew classes that look like so much fun if you're looking to learn more about brewing coffee. This has gone on our to-do list in Ventura county. As I said, it's a smaller shop so less seating options. It wasn't full while we were there, but I could easily see it getting full. All the staff here are so kind and friendly! Recommend stopping by for some great coffee.

It is my absolute joy to write a review for this place. I'm nit much of a coffee drinker, but their espresso cold brew has converted me. The people here are friendly. Everything I've visited I'm constantly greeted, immediately helped, and have greet conversation with the staff. The inside of the place is tiny, but it's always clean. There pastries are also delicious. I'm not sure who makes their parties, but going in to grab some cold brew and walking out with some random pastry is always fun and exciting. If you haven't been here, and you like coffee, you need to try it.

Small, cozy little spot in the industrial district. Definitely a barista's coffee shop. Small menu, but what they do have, they do really well. They also offer different classes on brewing that look really interesting. Delicious coffee. Highly recommend.

Stil the best n oxnard. Today, I indulged in a delightful citrus coffee latte, enriched with creamy oat milk and an extra shot for that perfect punch of flavor. The experience was nothing short of exceptional, thanks to the outstanding service provided. The lovely lady who took our order, adorned with beautiful piercings, captivated me with her unique style and radiant presence. Your charm is truly remarkable, and your smile lights up the room. Please continue to share that beautiful smile with everyone around you.

My favorite coffee shop in town! Everyone here is so friendly, and my drink is always consistently amazing. I used to try lots of different coffee shops, but there's something special about the small, welcoming feel of Beacon. The quality is top-notch, and the prices are still great , which I really appreciate. Thank you for being such a cozy, reliable spot that always starts my day right! Currently obsessed with the maple snap seasonal drink.

This location is very unassuming. I had never even heard of it despite having visited Poseidon right next door! I went for a visit and a latte to get a gift card for my kids teacher since this is her favorite spot. When I walked up, the line was out the door so you know the locals are big fans. The baristas were super friendly and helpful with their guidance on recommendations. There were little tables located both inside and out, if you chose to stick around. I could see myself working remotely from here since it's nice and quiet despite the busy atmosphere as I do enjoy people watching.

This coffee shop is over and over visiting place! I can not express how impressed we were after we tried the Citrus Mocha yesterday. I do not think I have ever tasted any coffee that tasted this good !!! The service is amazing, people who work there are wonderful ladies with professional customers service. I can not wait to visit again and looking forward to the other seasonal drinks .

I came on Sun. afternoon, and it was super quiet and chill. I got their unique Shakerato- a shaken espresso served in a sleek martini glass. The shakerato was so good and elegantly presented. Pastries are from Cafe Ficelle. The lead barista is of the school that takes pride in crafting each drink and not letting the machine automatically do all the work. The brother sister owners bring their culinary wine and beer experience to their cafe, but they invested into learning about coffee. Sips uses Beacon roasters who actually train cafe baristas on how to produce the best shots using their beans, so it's a true coffee collaboration. The cafe vibe is bright, airy and cozy. The owner was there and we chatted for awhile- he said they are ultimately happy to be a neighborhood local cafe- they're not trying to be Starbucks and be super high volume. They want to serve the East end of Ventura, which does not have a lot of mom/pop style cafes and restaurants.

They offer a number of drinks & coffee, and pastries as well but I ordered their Bisco latte/cookie butter latte and this did not disappoint. I've never had anything like this before I loved how rich the Biscoff flavor was and they also add some kind of a special Hawaiian milk to it which I didn't mind but I also asked for this to be made in almond milk as well with no whipped cream. The moment I took a sip it was just Rich flavors bursting in my mouth. The only problem that I had with this place is that it's not closer to me, which is in the South Bay. I've visited both the Ventura and the Thousand Oaks locations, and my experience has been consistent. To me, this is a high-end Dunkin' Donuts and I don't even go there. The last time I had Dunkin' was about five years ago back home in Minnesota. I don't enjoy it because it tastes more like sugar with a splash of coffee rather than actual coffee and that's exactly how I feel about this place. I honestly don't understand why it's so popular. Most of the drinks taste extremely sweet. If you're looking for a sugary treat, a cheat-day drink, or something for your birthday, then this might be your spot. But if you genuinely enjoy coffee and want something balanced and bold, this probably isn't it. The only drinks I would personally order again are the cold brew or the Maui Mocha and even then, they're still on the sweeter side. One practical note: the Ventura location often has lines out the door. I'd recommend ordering online and picking up if you decide to try it. Overall, I'd say go try it for yourself but manage your expectations if you're a true coffee lover.

I love their pastries, but the recent price increases do make them a luxury item. Kouign Amann are my fave, but any of their croissants are also great. I haven't really tried their drinks. Had a Hot chocolate at the Camarillo location, and they even had a little latte art in the milk foam. A beautiful space to enjoy, but pricey overall. Service is usually fine, not overly friendly but that is also due to being so busy that they need to move the lines quickly and efficiently. I tried a couple different drinks (and a dessert) so I could give an honest review, and everything was amazing. I ordered my usual, a sugar-free vanilla oat latte with cold foam, and it was perfect--from the espresso to the cold foam on top. I also asked for a recommendation, and the barista suggested their Biscoff coffee. That one absolutely blew me away! They even added pieces of Biscoff cookie on top, and I instantly fell in love with it. For dessert, we tried their mango sago. Walking in, I loved the vibe--super cozy couches where you can sit while waiting, plus tables if you want to dine in. They also had beautiful paintings displayed (I believe for sale), which made the space feel really unique and fun to look around. I started with my usual: a sugar-free vanilla oat latte. Unfortunately, it was pretty bland and lacked flavor, so I had to go back and get a side of cold foam to make it better. BUT their açaí smoothie?? SO good. Super fresh, not overly sweet--honestly perfect. I'd definitely come back just for the smoothies over the coffee. For food:* The #2 avocado toast was AMAZING. The spicy honey drizzle with fresh bacon took it to another level. The Seward sandwich was just okay--very plain (egg, ham, tomato, onion), nothing special. The breakfast burrito though... sooo good. Paired with their serrano sauce, it hit every time. I'd 100% order that again. Service-wise, they only had one girl working the front--taking orders and making drinks--and she handled it so well. Super sweet and did an amazing job. Overall, not a bad experience at all--but I'd come back for the food and smoothies, not the coffee.
