I like Ragamuffin coffee, so I'm happy to drink it in Oxnard without driving to TO, but the latte I ordered this time was a little lukewarm. I like hot drinks to be hot. Amazing staff and great coffee. First of all, this spot is in the northeast corner of the annex food hall. Once you know that, half of the battle has been won. Stopped in early in the morning, staff was friendly and ready to help. Ordered the special Mexi-Cali Parfait and a nitro cold brew. Cold brew was great, amazing flavor and the nitro mix was perfect. The lemon zest in the parfait added a nice brightness to the yogurt and the berries. A great experience overall, I look forward to using the beans I also picked up. read more

Extremely disappointed with their matcha. Should've known not to buy this $10 overpriced matcha when I saw you get 'ceremonial' matcha for a $1 extra. Why shouldn't the 'ceremonial' matcha be the standard? Openly admitting using flavorless green powder from who knows where for that price is crazy. I think the picture speaks for itself. I've been to both locations, with the Oxnard location typically being the best in terms of customer service and quality of the drinks. The workers are by far friendlier than the Newbury Park location. However, their matcha is just so incredibly lacking, especially for the price. $9+ for a weak, milky, sweet water is completely outlandish. Matcha should be a deep, bright green with earthy, nutty, umami, or floral notes. I know that they sometimes have a ceremonial upgrade -- this is absolutely ridiculous. Ceremonial is typically a marketing term, but even if the quality is that much better it honestly should be the standard. Moreover, their sweeteners and cold foams are just absurdly expensive. It is absolutely not comparable to the prices and quality of matchas you can get in LA. A drink like this should really not be on the menu. I hate to be so scathing and leave a second review, but this is just unacceptable. Again, the workers here are absolutely lovely and the food is really good. Please, I beg, do better!!! read more

It is on the pricey side compared to other small local shops. My coffee - The Pumpkin Dream Latte 16 oz - was a bit priceyaround 9 bucks with tax and tip. It was delicious though. They roast their own beans and have won awards , so be assured you're getting a delicious cup ! Just know prices are up there :) read more

Sweet staff, excellent lattes. This is a business in the Annex. They play lively music and have great attitudes. I had the breakfast burrito, which is a nice portion with eggs, bacon, potatoes and cheese. They serve it with a red and a green salsa. There is also like a Chipotle mayo on the side that is delicious. The red salsa is also great. My wife had the bacon and potato empanada, which was delicious. We have been coning here for their coffee for years. We love their almond milk lattes. read more

Nice location inside the Annex food court in The Collection. This was my first time to this location and my first time trying their coffee (I had tried a chai latte at another location.) I ordered a dirty chai latte. It was definitely better than their chai latte. I feel like it's still a bit heavy on the milk taste rather than the espresso or chai taste. The service was quick and it's interesting to watch the whole bean roasting machine turn the beans. read more

Came to check out The Collection for the first time since we were in town. My kiddo wanted coffee so we followed the signs to The Annex Food Court. It's a clean and modern space. Very hipster vibes. Across from the counter, there's a whole set up where they roast their own coffee right in front of you. Really cool to see! They also sell merch as well. Service was great and my daughter's matcha was good ! Give this place a try, you won't be disappointed. read more

I was pleasantly surprised by how good both the coffee was and the service is during my visits here. We came here late morning on a weekday, so it was not that crowded. The barista was friendly and efficient, and we didn't have to wait that long to get our coffee. Love that they offer a specials menu in addition to their regular menu - there's always something fun about ordering a seasonal drink. Delicious chai lattes - a little sweet, but I loved it. Their London Honey Tea Latte was the perfect spin on a London Fog and so tasty. While we didn't order any food, they did have a good selection of pastries available. I'm not sure if they allow dogs inside the Annex, but we went outside with our doggo to enjoy the drinks. Lovely outdoor seating just to the right of the restaurant, and since it was a slower day, there weren't many people around, and it was just a peaceful morning. A great place to stop for your caffeine fix - either as a grab and go or order and stay. Perfect for solo, on a date, with friends, or with your favorite dog. It's louder here and not much indoor seating, so wouldn't necessarily recommend it as a good spot to get work done. read more

A nice little hidden gem. I've known about this coffee house for quite some time. Revisted today because I had a free drink birthday reward. This is a second review and I have to say a few of the same issues still exist, but also there's some improvement. It's located inside The Annex at The Collections. The vibe this morning was very laid back and mellow. Like before the baristas don't really move with any urgency. Not a bad thing this morning though. The area restaurants were just staring to prepare to open so The Annex wasn't full throttle yet. I think I prefer this time of day here best. I ordered a bourbon caramel latte (said I wouldn't order it again on my last review, glad I did) and almond croissant. Also, a vanilla latte and chocolate muffin for my fiance. The prices here are what you'd expect at a specially coffee house. (There higher since my last review, like everything else in the world) But considering everything, they aren't so high you shouldn't go. For pastry and coffee anyway. The unique thing about RAGAMUFFIN is that they roast their own coffee. You can see the set up right inside. Milk options are still only whole milk, almond milk and oat milk. Honestly I wish they had a nonfat option. (Said that last time too) That's usually what I get elsewhere. I'm not a fan of oat or almond. While whole milk gives the coffee a very rich creamy texture, for me that's not a big plus, I like a very coffee forward flavor. Unlike my fiancé who likes it creamy like its served. I should have added an extra shot so the coffee flavor came through a little more for me. (I didn't really remember this fact from my last review, lol) The bourbon caramel flavor in my latte was actually a very nice add in and I'll get it again. It was better than last time. One of the same issues was still the temperature. They aren't very hot. I need to remember to ask them to amp up the temp for me. The vanilla latte was good and definitely on the do again list. The dark chocolate muffin...dang... okay that's worth the money. But don't eat it while you drive, it's comical. The almond croissant however was a miss. Maybe it was just a bad day for that batch, but it was dry and over done. Most of it went into the trash. That's the reason for 4 stars. (They only got 3 stars from me last time) The flavor was good enough though, which makes me want to try again another time. Overall this is a nice place to grab a morning starter, or an afternoon pick me up. The latte art by Alexis was really pretty and her kind attitude was a great way to start my morning. read more

A friend of mine got me a latte from here, it was my first time trying them, I'm hooked! It's located inside the Annex at the collection in Oxnard. Super quick service. I went back a second time on my own and got the same drink. I did see on their menu they also have a honey lavender matcha that I NEED to try. I will try and make a visit just for that drink soon. Totally recommend this spot They do offer a limited amount of chairs/table to sit on and enjoy your coffee. Really cute. read more

I have always been wanting to try this place but I can't drink coffee past a certain time. Finally came early to be able to try it. It was nice and quiet since the mall wasn't fully open. I got a mexican mocha latte with almond milk and an almond croissant. The latte was good. Enjoyed that it wasn't bitter like some other coffees I have tried. The croissant was a bit of a let down. Not sure if they have a way to warm it up. If they do they didn't offer and gave it to me like that. It was a bit hard to eat. Overall, I am glad I was finally able to try it. I was at the Collections in Oxnard and needed an afternoon pick me up and decided to hit up Ragamufffin. I had a straight forward 12oz Oat Milk Latte: the coffee I thought tasted good, not acidic or bitter and the temperature was perfect. The ONLY reason why I gave it 4 stars is because it is a little out of the way and it's tucked in a food court which I feel takes away from the experience. Ragamuffin roasts its own beans on the premises , I thought that was cool. With the other options immediately available in the Oxnard area it's worth getting off the freeway to check out even if it is little out of the way; I would definitely go here over the Starbucks in the Collections. TLDR: A flavorful clean cup, friendly staff with quick service. Came by here looking for a place to open up the laptop and do some work, and saw it on yelp. Came through and was first thrown off guard as I didn't realize it was in a shopping center, that's in a food court. No big issue though, walked around, caught a vibe, ordered a cup and honestly have no complaints. The beans from the roast do taste fresh, the flavor profile for their espresso does taste more on the darker side, not as dark as a typical NYC cup but dark enough for East Coasters to enjoy. Nothing absolutely crazy different, but also leagues above a local Starbucks, and a great tasting basic up is always okay. So 5 stars for me for the simple but good experience. read more

There were 3 gals behind the counter & there were a bunch of guys at the roasting area chit chatting & roasting. There's a bunch of nice outdoor seating, indoor seating & also a small area for counter seating. Didn't know what to order so I just got an Iced Latte with Almond Milk. As I stood around waiting for my drink, others were seated, eating other nearby food. The gals were busy chitchatting. Then they were calling someone by the name of Diane.. I was making my way to the Pick up counter when the lady behind the counter reached over and gave me my drink... It was for me. They got my name wrong lol. Oh well it happens. I was the only customer btw. Walked out & took a sip. It was pretty bland... Which was ok with me, I'm used to it when I have coffee at home. No sugar... If you want some sweetness, you can choose one of their house-made syrups. Which I didn't realize until after I tasted my drink & checked out the menu once again. The iced latte was pretty smooth & cold on a warm day. I tried to sip on it, but I pretty much downed it omw home Bec it was light. I didn't order any food because all I saw were sweets on the counter. So I can't comment on that. Also, I wasn't feeling that... Im not captivated to return here, unless I'm in the area & desperately needing caffeine... I will say that I was up late that night. And didn't realize it was probably because of the coffee. The toast was on delicious sourdough bread and was drizzled with olive oil and lemon juice. I liked the crunch on the bread and how it wasn't soggy or chewy. The store is located inside the Annex food hall. There is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating areas. You can see the coffee roaster roasting coffees. I liked that they had interesting syrup options to jazz up your latte. I've never seen a place do bourbon as a flavor option before. The bad: The prices are a little steep. There was a bit too much olive oil on my toast. Adding a flavored syrup was additional $1.50. I visited Ragamuffin Coffee Roasters a few weeks ago for the first time. Every time I've come into the food Hall it's always been for dinner and the barista told me that they're typically closed by 6:00 on weekdays so it makes sense that I've always missed out. They're located right by the front entrance when you first walk in. I was here for lunch today and decided to stop in and try some of their drinks. I ended up trying the London tea latte and got it iced because it was kind of hot outside and I wasn't able to decide. I'm guessing their menu changes and may be seasonal but that's kind of great having this variety. There were a few great options on the menu and so I asked the barista to help and that's what she recommended as well. Overall, the drink was amazing and I'll definitely be trying some of the other drinks if I ever catch them when they're open. I finally found a good parking spot that's close to the annex food Hall. In the past, I would always park elsewhere and I would have to walk further away but I'm glad to have found a closer spot. read more

This is an amazing coffee shop that roasts its own beans. It also has amazing pastries that are mostly gluten free, and you don't notice the lack of gluten. I had a ricotta cake that was like a cheese cake and a white cake had a baby. It was moist, perfectly sweat, and had a lovely soft texture. We also got a couple salted chocolate chip cookies that were quite good. Next this is in the Annex right across from the comedy club, and is a bit noisy.
