It was in the morning on a Saturday when I came so there was a bit of a line but not too long. After about five minutes, I got a chance to order. I opted for an iced mocha. I would've liked to try one of the yummy looking croissants they had available from Pinyon but the people in front of me got the last one! After a couple of minutes, my order came out. Once I swirled everything together, I thought there was a good balance of everything! The syrup, the coffee, and the milk. It was a nice pick me up for the hot day ahead. Unfortunately I was unable to locate the WiFi password and I didn't want to bother the two employees that appeared to be pouring coffee with love. I had an iced coffee cold brew with almond milk. A cold coffee in a glass cup makes such a difference in how cold the drink gets and the presentation. The latte was amazing! Perfect temperature. I went for the chocolate croissant, it was amazing! There was also a list of drinks next to the register that were sugar free drink options. Win! I did want to try the Maui Milk that is unique to Makenna Koffee, so I didn't get an americano this time - but maybe next time! We got one or the yummy cold brews and I got one of the supreme drinks extra hot. Both tasty and we will certainly be back! The kind, positive vibes alone at this location were enough reason to come back. And the merch was cute too! Lots of open seating and a comfy area to hang and meet with people. I drink coffee for two things - the taste and of course the caffeine. So trying to find something that isn't artificially flavored or sugar loaded wasn't easy. I landed on the oat milk cream cold brew. They were out of the foam, even better. However, it's odd when there's only two ingredients: coffee and oat milk, it barely tasted like coffee. And no caffeine boost whatsoever. So here's my take, if you are a beginner coffee drinker or want a coffee drink without a bunch of coffee this will be your jam. No judgement, I began my relationship with coffee with mocha frappuccinos and cappuccinos. If you are a coffee lover I'd look elsewhere.

I love their pastries, but the recent price increases do make them a luxury item. Kouign Amann are my fave, but any of their croissants are also great. I haven't really tried their drinks. Had a Hot chocolate at the Camarillo location, and they even had a little latte art in the milk foam. A beautiful space to enjoy, but pricey overall. Service is usually fine, not overly friendly but that is also due to being so busy that they need to move the lines quickly and efficiently. At Camarillo, the server was much more talkative and friendly because it wasn't crowded when I went.
