Great spot in Ventura to grab some coffee and a treat. It's a cute place with both indoor and outdoor seating, plus a small area where you can purchase gift items. We were excited when we walked in and saw all the options for sweet treats. We just had to try them--and we definitely did! We got four different snacks: Strawberry Cobbler Bar - This was amazing and our overall favorite. The strawberry flavor really stood out, and the crumble crust was perfect. Carrot Cake Bar - Yummy! A delicious treat with moist cake. The walnuts on top added a great touch. Chocolate Cake - Rich and tasty. The chocolate was a bit overpowering, but still a solid choice. Key Lime Cheesecake - WOW! Finally a coffee shop with a variety of chai tea options and gluten free + vegan baked goodies! I had so many options to choose from but ended up with the cinnamon roll, had it warmed up too. It made my insides happy, I will definitely be back to try more baked goodies. I also grabbed a honey chai with almond milk, I liked the hint of honey in it but it was really watered down, kinda bummed cause I paid an extra $1.30 for almond milk and felt like it was a splash of it with watery chai. We arrived at Palermo about 10 minutes before closing, and I have to say, the staff was amazing! Even though they were getting ready to close, they were in great spirits, super friendly, and never rushed us with our order. I had a decaf caffè latte and a two-scoop gelato -- Coppa Mista and Mint Chip -- both were absolutely delicious! They also have a cute little souvenir shop inside, which we didn't have time to browse, but we'll definitely check it out on our next visit. We grabbed some carrot cake bars to go as well, which was a nice treat for later. Tip: If you want to add a tip to your card, let them know before they process the payment. It doesn't show on the screen, and you can't add it afterward -- we ended up placing a second order to leave a tip and pick up those carrot cake bars. I haven't been to this location in a long time I finally went to downtown Ventura yesterday to support the local businesses. I decided to get a salted caramel latte. Was also tempted by their incredible chocolates, of which I selected the sundae truffle. Humongous truffle that took several bites to get through, and each bite was richly fantastic. We were looking for a cold treat after some shopping on Main Street. My husband remembered seeing that Palermo has gelato, so we excitedly headed that way. The line for coffee was out the door, but there was no one waiting on the gelato side. We walked in and waited at that open register. After my husband decided on his flavor, he went to use the restroom. He came back a couple minutes later because they were out of order. As we continued to wait for someone to help us, the staff behind the counter just kept walking by. One guy was right in front of us and would not look in our direction. Then my husband told me that the guy (not sure if it was the owner or a staff member) who told him the restrooms were out of order was abrasive in telling him "They're out of order and I'm not going to call anyone to fix them". Stopped by to get coffee for our drive back home. The only coffee shop open at 6 pm, love it. The cappuccino was good so was the Americano. This coffee shop sells a lot of things such as candles, home decor, serve ware, ornaments, kids clothes and toys etc... there were many cute things but a bit overpriced. I'm guessing because of the touristy location. They also have baked good and truffles. You can easily have breakfast here or snacks for any time of the day. A lot to choose from. We have 3 days here and tried this for the first coffee shop namely because of their vegan pastries. Unfortunately they were also GF. It's a very hard thing to accomplish the right textures with those and it was not ideal. I had the maple donut (would not recommend) and my husband had the cinnamon roll. It was decent but I wouldn't order it again. Definitely best warmed. The coffee wasn't super strong either-- my husband had a vanilla oatmilk latte and I had my usual oat soy latte, both lacked coffee flavor. The ambiance was cute, the gift shop was nice and the people were SO kind, but it wasn't the place for us, unfortunately. read more

This little pit stop was a welcomed surprise located on Main Street off California st exit on the 101 freeway. If you are in need of coffee there are a few locations on Main Street in Ventura to choose from, this one I definitely recommend first and foremost. It is not your everyday run-of-the-mill coffee shop, it is cleverly intertwined with a retail location full of cool knickknacks,divine pastries to satisfy your sugar cravings and gelato also. I work downtown and decided to come on my break which is 15 minutes. I ordered a chai and waited over 20 minutes! There was no line.
