    Lemonade & Tropical Tea mix
    EJ J.

After moving my car from the two-hour parking in the garage, I noticed a small store connected to the hospital garage building. Upon entering the little coffee and tea shop, I found it to be modern, bright, and clean. The service was excellent, with everyone inside was cheerful, smiling, and greeting customers with a positive, upbeat attitude. It was a refreshing change to leave the hospital and step outside to enjoy some fresh air and smiles. I visited both days to grab a yogurt with fruit and an Arnold Palmer to take back to the room. They actually remembered me and my order from the day before so that was cool! Everything was delicious, and the fruit was fresh. The lemonade mixed with tropical tea was perfect and not too sweet. They also serve breakfast sandwiches and breakfast bowls, but since my father is being discharged today, I didn't have the chance to try the breakfast bowl. Overall, this is a fantastic little shop to visit for a quick bite and drink if you're looking for a break from the hospital's food and drinks. OOOOO 5 out of 5 Afros

Ventura is one lucky city for having a local coffee shop like Simones! Today I enjoyed my usual croissant breakfast sandwich, filled with egg, cheddar, spinach, avocado, and a yummy pesto spread. I paired it with a large hot mocha, opting for a to-go cup so I can take it with me while I finished Friday errands. Both this location and their East Ventura location always deliver consistently good food and coffee. I prefer coming to this location as they have multiple outdoor tables with a nice view of the CMH courtyard and water fountain. Both locations have a nice tranquil interior with nice aesthetic touches. Thank you Simones for always hitting the mark each time I visit!

How do I love thee? For many reasons. First, it's close to me which is always a plus. I love the employees. As a former service employee I can tell you that the employees are well- trained and generally happy. This means they are likely treated fairly and well-compensated. The reason I believe this is Simones employees are consistent and don't turn over all the time like Cafe Ficelle(I won't go there again). Simones also has great coffee. Not only do I regularly order my lattes from here with my own commuter cup (a small discount with a big environmental impact), but I also purchase my bags of espresso for use at home. This cafe is near the hospital so it's convenient if you happen to be visiting a sick person. There are adorable handmade toys, stuffies, mugs, tshirtsand other merchandise. I love the fresh, healthy California breakfast items. I usually order the wrap with eggs, feta, spinach, red pepper and aoili sauce. The bagels are good too. I will continue to go here regularly.

Nice little coffee shop located outside of cmh. They have little Knick knacks for sale. Lots of coffee and small breakfast bits. Delicious avocado toast and almond croissant. Plenty of inside seating. There is also outside seating.

I rediscovered Simones Coffee & Tea recently when my kids were playing soccer and baseball this past season. All it took was that one game where we had to be on the field at 7:00am. for me to go on the hunt for a coffee shop that was open early on a Sunday! I first rediscovered the location on the east end and then remembered I had one closer to home. The service has always been impeccable. Upon entering I am always consistently greeted with a smile, and in the fall when I was navigating the fall menu, I appreciated the help with my questions about the offerings as well as the recommendations in adjusting the drink for my liking. My favorite right now is the Cinna Dulce Latte! Creamy and delicious! Both shops have a beautiful esthetic. I love the open feeling of the one off Main Street. It feels very bright and inviting. Another wonderful offering they have is a boutique style gift shop. They have a wide selection of different items for anyone on your list. Personally, we have purchased some holiday ornaments, the most delicious candles, and, of course, some Jelly Cat stuffed animals. Oh, and how could I forget the Avocado toast! Delicious! I have loved both versions! I love that they are open into the evening because my happy hour is an afternoon latte!

Such a beautiful and modern coffee shop right outside of CMH hospital. You can find this coffee shop on the first floor of the parking structure. They have an array of coffee and tea flavors, milk substitutes, syrups, and more! Service was quick. Placed my order and a few minutes, my matcha latte (with oatmilk and hazelnut syrup) is ready to go. It's got that bitter matcha flavor, meaning that they use real matcha and not that stuff that comes too sweet. It is a cute meet area and will definitely bring back my foodies with me aka family and friends. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. *parking might be difficult so while there is parking in the structure, your best bet may be to check first or walk by parking further and enjoy the sunshine.

Loved the vibe. My mocha didn't taste watered down, and the muffin wasn't dry. Bonus is that they opened at 6:30 am on a Saturday. I initially planned to work, but instead I spent the time enjoying my food while watching a sea gull frolic in the fountain.

Ventura staple. Simone's has been around forever and there's a reason for that. Great local spot. The one off kimball is closed temporarily due to a fire but the location near the hospital is still open and thriving! Not many places have nonfat milk as options these days, but Simone's does and I'm a nonfat girl! Love their mochas as well as the blended drinks. Haven't tried much of their food except for a bagel, but hope to soon. Parking can be limited in front of the hospital location but there is a big structure behind. Pro tip: get the stamp card and add up for a free drink!

Loved my coffee! I tried a specialty drink (cookie butter) and it did not disappoint! My boyfriend came in over the weekend when he was at work and liked it so much and brought me in to try it. The baristas we all very nice and welcoming. We definitely will be back to try some of the other drinks and food options here. It's kind of tucked away but once you know of them you definitely will want to stop in!

Great find in downtown Ventura next to a hospital. People were enjoying the weather outside in the nice outside seating area. Staff was super friendly and super accommodating with my complicated order. Food was great as well- (not pictured, the blueberry muffin( delicious) chocolate chip toffee cookie and a mocha ) Definitely come back again

Terrific breakfast option in Ventura, whether you choose the location near the hospital or the one on Telegraph. Fun and healthy food options, and the drinks and smoothies are SO good as well. I usually order their avocado toast and a decaf coffee, or ice tea. Have had the Golden Latte, this one could use some improvement in the flavor dept. Nice lighting, pretty decor, good cafe style food, and a pretty quick turn time to get your order out.

Salmon lox croissant with matcha latte about $16

Sleep deprivation, the enemy of work productivity. Coffee, the remedy for sleep deprivation and a true necessity of life. This small coffee shop is unique to Ventura and is located on the first floor of the parking garage of Community Memorial Hospital's Ocean Tower parking garage. You can park on the 1st floor or on the street. The store itself is small but modern with both indoor and outdoor seating. They have plenty of warm and cold drinks as well as seasonal specials. They also offer pastries from local shops as well as made to order breakfast sandwiches. Prices are comparable to big brand coffee chains, but the quality is definitely higher. Service is excellent every time I've been here and the tables are usually clean and tidy. On my last visit, I had their salmon lox on croissant with avocado as well as a large matcha latte. The food was fresh and the drink had a good matcha flavor. I've also had their hot teas and coffees, which were all good as well. They have all kinds of milk substitutes for vegans and lactose intolerant folk. I definitely recommend coming here if you're in the need of a caffeine pick me up and want to support a local mom and pop shop.

Beautiful coffee shop! The interior is modern and has beautiful light fixtures in every corner. Area wise it is in front of CMH. It is a coffee shop on the smaller end. Looks like the perfect place to come and study considering it's fairly quiet and peaceful. I ordered an iced matcha with oatmilk and a spinach feta bowl. The eggs were cooked fluffy and airy. The sauce was delicious! It paired nicely with the matcha as well. Staff here is very friendly. The prices are a bit on the higher end but overall it's a sweet spot!

They offer a number of drinks & coffee, and pastries as well but I ordered their Bisco latte/cookie butter latte and this did not disappoint. I've never had anything like this before I loved how rich the Biscoff flavor was and they also add some kind of a special Hawaiian milk to it which I didn't mind but I also asked for this to be made in almond milk as well with no whipped cream. The moment I took a sip it was just Rich flavors bursting in my mouth. The only problem that I had with this place is that it's not closer to me, which is in the South Bay. I've visited both the Ventura and the Thousand Oaks locations, and my experience has been consistent. To me, this is a high-end Dunkin' Donuts and I don't even go there. The last time I had Dunkin' was about five years ago back home in Minnesota. I don't enjoy it because it tastes more like sugar with a splash of coffee rather than actual coffee and that's exactly how I feel about this place. I honestly don't understand why it's so popular. Most of the drinks taste extremely sweet. If you're looking for a sugary treat, a cheat-day drink, or something for your birthday, then this might be your spot. But if you genuinely enjoy coffee and want something balanced and bold, this probably isn't it. The only drinks I would personally order again are the cold brew or the Maui Mocha and even then, they're still on the sweeter side. One practical note: the Ventura location often has lines out the door. I'd recommend ordering online and picking up if you decide to try it. Overall, I'd say go try it for yourself but manage your expectations if you're a true coffee lover.

Had a Hot chocolate at the Camarillo location, and they even had a little latte art in the milk foam. A beautiful space to enjoy, but pricey overall. Walking in, I loved the vibe--super cozy couches where you can sit while waiting, plus tables if you want to dine in. They also had beautiful paintings displayed (I believe for sale), which made the space feel really unique and fun to look around. I started with my usual: a sugar-free vanilla oat latte. Unfortunately, it was pretty bland and lacked flavor, so I had to go back and get a side of cold foam to make it better. BUT their açaí smoothie?? SO good. Super fresh, not overly sweet--honestly perfect. I'd definitely come back just for the smoothies over the coffee. For food:* The #2 avocado toast was AMAZING. The spicy honey drizzle with fresh bacon took it to another level. The Seward sandwich was just okay--very plain (egg, ham, tomato, onion), nothing special. The breakfast burrito though... sooo good. Paired with their serrano sauce, it hit every time. I'd 100% order that again. Service-wise, they only had one girl working the front--taking orders and making drinks--and she handled it so well. Super sweet and did an amazing job. Overall, not a bad experience at all--but I'd come back for the food and smoothies, not the coffee.
