The Everyday Value Slam includes 2 eggs prepared to your liking, 2 meat items, and either pancakes, French toast, or biscuit and gravy. I opted for the Biscuit and Gravy. The biscuit was soft and fluffy. The gravy was nice with sausage bits in it. It wasn't anything that wowed me with flavor, but it was a decent bite. The two eggs over hard were prepared exactly as I had ordered. Nothing special about these eggs; they tasted good and were exactly what I wanted. The sausage link was typical; nothing exciting about it. The bacon was a bit more limp than I would have liked, but the flavor was tasty. Grand Slam Burrito This was a really tasty burrito! I enjoyed this a lot. The hash browns brought a lot of flavor to the egg, sausage, and bacon burrito. The cheese wrapped around everything in the tortilla was nice.Combined with the tomato based salsa served on the side, this burrito gets high marks from me! I stopped at this Denny's because they have charging for the Tesla's in the back. The service here was good and the food came out nice and hot prepared just as I ordered. There were a few tables that needed to be wiped off, but besides that it was a pretty decent place. If you need to charge your car and want to grab a bite, this is a perfect place to go. read more

This location outdid themselves from our previous visit. We were a party of fourteen over the holidays. No reservations are taken, so we arrived at 9 on a Sunday, and they set up tables for us in the back annex area where there is also a small meeting space. We were all happy since we had 4 toddlers that they accommodated with kids' menus that have games on the backside-crayon provided, plus baby seats. Everyone in the nice main dining area appreciated that we were off on our own because we are a boisterous bunch. Service was helpful, accommodating and friendly. They provided us their holiday menu complete with cute Rudolph pancakes. I had fresh fruit along with perfect pancakes, my husband had their cheesy egg scramble. Good for a Dennys ! The staff was friendly and attentive and the place was clean. Tesla chargers brought me here so I figured why not grab breakfast while we wait for a charge. The new sweet cream cold brew is just as good as Starbucks (don't come for me). My teens had pancakes, eggs and sausage and also a steak like melt with onion rings. Large portions and a lot of care went into the preparation, as it was not sloppy. I had the salmon salad, the salmon may have been over seasoned but a little spice in your life isn't terrible lol. GETTING HERE: This is the old Coco's on Telegraph and Ashwood in Ventura. Parking is best accessed off Telegraph IMO. This is the worst experience i've ever had at a restaurant in my entire life. The waitress was super rude and ignored us for 40 mins, even though it was very empty inside. I don't recommend ever coming here, we got there at 12 am and ended up leaving at 3 am because the service was so bad. I came on a Sat. late morning. It was moderately busy and I was seated pretty quickly. My server was Joselyn and she I could tell is very experienced. She was really fast, efficient. I was seated right by the Serving station, so I could hear that she kinda helps out the other servers. I know this is a newer location from the Dennys that was by the Harbor 101 exit. It seems clean, and cheerful. My food came out so quickly- they give free value Slam for birthday reward, so do sign up for rewards. So breakfast items must be pre-cooked so they can churn out busy breakfast so efficiently. Everything tasted at correct temps and decently cooked, I was pleasantly surprised. Prices for breakfast are a bit surprising how high they could be (several dishes were more than $20) - but restaurant prices everywhere have gone up to surprising levels. Breakfast can be more $$ than other lunch dishes but they are hearty portions. I do recommend Dennys when you want a comforting Breakfast. I don't usually choose to eat Dennys other than breakfast menu. read more

Okay, this is one of the cleanest Denny's locations I've ever been to! Normally, the Denny's locations I've gone to are dirty and give you a sketchy feeling, but this wasn't the case for this location. My husband and I were greeted and seated immediately! Our waiter was friendly and very tentative! I got the strawberry stuffed French toast slam and my husband got the French toast slam! We both thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Very tasty and affordable. I dined here this morning on 10/2/22 around 10am and I was so beyond impressed with the staff and overall flow of this restaurant. I nerd out on a well managed team given my early years in the food industry so forgive me. "Those who get it, get it, those who don't, don't." The restaurant was well stocked with staff to accommodate the morning rush. Everyone working was all smiles and super helpful. They had two gentlemen behind the counters cashing out orders, what looked to be a full kitchen, plenty of servers, and the efficient manager gal helping out. Here's what I loved: 1. I saw staff constantly sanitizing their hands behind the counter and keeping a clean workspace. 2. The manager was constantly praising her staff and saying "good job guys" and keeping the pace/standards. It was so refreshing to hear someone leading their staff and creating a positive praising work environment. Working in the food industry is hard and definitely staff at chains don't get enough credit but I was so pleased with the good vibes this morning. UPDATE: Aug 2023 Sadly, many of the very best employees and management have been driven away from what was an excellent staff. Contributing to this is the lack of professional decorum demonstrated by it's store manager. I have witnessed her in the past, verbally lambasting her employees, in a foul and abusive fashion. To do this to people in one's charge is horrible enough, but to them do it within earshot of customers, is demeaning and shaming. This manager recently bragged to me that she was promoted to a Training Store Manager, and I was horrified at the notion of this manager in a teaching position. Something needs to be done about this reprehensible store manager. Until then, there are plenty of other breakfast eateries in Ventura. Update June 28, 2023 Very shocked and sad to report a dangerous situation at the Denny's in Ventura this morning. Not sure in the legality of this, but apparently the manager directed their staff to open the restaurant for business, in spite of their being almost no electricity in the customer dining areas. Those two were really nice and it didn't take long at all to get out food which was hot and tasty. My only complaint is I ordered hash browns crispy on Both sides, the server confirmed, but only one side was cooked. I didn't bother to send it back since everything else was correct. It has been a while I have not eaten at a Denny's. This location the service, the personnel is friendly and professional. The dinner area, boot tables and floors were clean with no crumbs on the floor nor on the boot seating areas. The women's bathroom was very clean. The only reason, this location did not get 5 stars is because the breakfast meal ordered the hash browns was burnt. The egg omelette with caramelized onions, bacon, tomatoes and cheddar cheese were also too cooked and burnt as well. The buttermilk pancakes and coffee were perfect. I would come back, however management needs to pay attention with the food prior to be served to the customer. This location has potential to rank with greater reviews. read more
