    Giovanni omelette with fruit
    Rachel C.

My companion and I ended up at Immigrant Son Caffe for breakfast after a weekend jaunt to Ventura. She got a the Giovanni omelette. It was flavorful and delicious. I got the Caffe breakfast. We both started with a drip coffee which was very flavorful. I think the omelette was probably better than the breakfast special, although the breakfast special was basic. The potatoes were very soft- more like a boiled potato than a breakfast potato. Also, they were overseasoned. There was what I imagine to be a homemade strawberry jam that went with the toast, it was fabulous. The service was decent, considering how busy the morning was and they were more attentive than other places we had been to in Ventura this weekend. With our check. We got two of Nonna's pizzelles-it was a nice touch. I think if I were to go again, I would try something off of the lunch menu.

This place is great and lived up to the hype Sat on the patio under the shade and JT was wonderful. I love patio seating. Our server was great and attentive. I ordered the chicken panini. Friend ordered the caprese panini. We loved the flavors but it wasn't on a panini... it came on a baguette which was disappointing. Other friend got the eggs Benedict and loved it. We got an appetizer that I can't remember the name... it was shaved tomato ice over burrata cheese with focaccia bread. I loved it. It was so unique! Definitely would come back.

Our first time at Immigrant Son, and it was okay. Keep in mind, we got there a half hour before close, so there were some things that were not available and others that didnt seem super fresh. I think if you get there earlier, those 3 stars would be 4 or 5. The food was above average, but not roll your eyes in the back of your head awesome. The juices were exceptional. The service is the highlight here. Our server was friendly, knowledgeable about everything on the menu, and attentive without being a bother. There are tons of places to eat and drink on the Vemtura ped mall, and Immagrant Son is a sure bet, it just won't be the best meal you'll ever have in Ventura--Lure and Paradise Pantry are the front runners for that.

We tried Immigrant Son Caffe for the first time on 02/14/2026 for brunch, arriving at about 9:45AM. Parking is so easy via the free municipal lot behind the restaurant. There was a short line at 9:45am; however, we were seated pretty quickly. We sat outside on the street facing tables, and it was a beautiful morning. I had the Chicken Avocado Bacon Panini, which was delicious with ingredients as the name applies; however, it also had swiss, cheddar, lettuce and some aioli. It does also come with tomatoes; however, I opted out of that. I also had a fresh pressed juice; however, I forget the exact ingredients. It was a little ginger heavy for me; however, still delicious. It was also reasonably priced for fresh juice. My Husband had the breakfast lasagna, and I got to enjoy a bite of that, and it was also great. All in all, a 5 star experience.

Such a great breakfast spot. The atmosphere is warm, welcoming, and has that perfect buzz where you feel relaxed but still part of something fun. There was a short wait, but it was absolutely worth it. The service was fantastic. Our waiter was attentive, friendly, and made sure everything was just right. The staff communicates well and you can feel that they genuinely care about the experience. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. Every bite was flavorful. We even ended up chatting with another couple nearby, which made the whole morning feel even more special and community-driven. Great energy, great food, great service. We'll definitely be back.

What an amazing place. From the staff to the food everything in this restaurant was built from the heart. I ordered the focaccia breakfast sandwich and it was amazing. They make their own focaccia and chicken apple sausage. The eggs were scrambled with burrata and were so creamy. The staff was wonderful and the waitress gave me the history of the place. In a time where being an immigrant is under attack, this restaurant stands tall and proudly says America was built by immigrants. Beautiful!

The line went by very quickly and the pasta was delicious! Love that it came with the bread bowl (which was also really good ) the service was good and love their plates and utensils. I will say it's on the pricer side but it is in downtown so it's to be expected.

We were sat outside for brunch on a Tuesday morning. It's family style seating with covered picnic tables and benches. It was very quiet on Main St., which made it really easy for us to talk and hear each other well. The wait staff were very friendly and attentive, checking on us multiple times throughout the meal. I love their menu! So many tasty options to choose from on the regular menu and they also had a list of seasonal specials. If I could, I would try everything, literally! One thing I can strongly recommend is their 'Bacon flight' appetizer, which has 5 different types of mouth-watering bacon flavors to sample. There is also a full bar for those who wish to enjoy a boozy brunch. Their coffee comes from the Santa Barbara Roasting Company, and they generously refilled my friend's cup over and over! She could not stop raving about the food at the table, and we all left so full and very satisfied. This restaurant is a must try for breakfast and lunch, whether you are a local or a visitor passing through!

Immigrant Son in Ventura is honestly one of the best brunch spots I've been to. From the moment you walk in, the vibe feels warm, modern, and really welcoming -- not fake or try-hard like some places on Main Street. The food is amazing and actually different from the typical breakfast spots. You can tell everything is made with care, especially the Italian-style dishes and the coffee. The portions are good, the presentation is cute, and everything tastes fresh. The service is also super friendly and fast, which makes the whole experience even better. It's definitely one of those places that lives up to the hype. If you're looking for a nice brunch spot in Ventura that feels unique and not basic, this is it. I would 100% go back again.

Excellent restaurant in the heart of the main street in downtown Ventura. We were a large party of 14 and were seated outside in the covered patio area out in the front of the restaurant. The entire street has been blocked from traffic permanently for several blocks, allowing for lots of outdoor patio access. Friendly and attentive staff who took our orders and handled our meals when they were ready. As for the food, our group ordered a variety of different dishes for brunch. Some highlights: 1. Sandwiches: delicious options. A few folks in our group ordered the Immigrant Son sandwich and the Chicken Parmgiana. 2. Chicken and Waffles: decent. It was boneless chicken that had been breaded and fried in beef tallow, then dusted heavily with Parmesan cheese. Not exactly what you'd expect for this dish, but it's their version so you can't really complain. 3. Omelettes: really well done! They have a few different versions that offer different flavors and fillings. You can't go wrong with any of the choices. 4. Coffee: excellent lattes! Highly recommend to check this place out.

After strolling down Main St, we happily ran into Immigrant Son Caffe. I had bookmarked it and it was clearly a popular choice on Main St. They have outdoor and indoor seating and we chose to sit outside to enjoy the weather. This spot closes at 2pm and has a great brunch/lunch Italian inspired menu. We chose the Tallow Fried Chicken and Waffles, which included Riccota and Rosemary Waffles, Parmesan Breaded Chicken, and Calabrian Chili Butter. The chicken was super crispy and tender and we loved the parmesan breading. We also tried the Avocado Pomodoro Toast. The tomato, garlic, and onion is a diced mix that I asked to have on the side. The generously topped avocado sourdough toast was topped with two perfectly cooked poached eggs and I topped it with the provided fresh basil and olive oil. Overall, great service and delicious food!

Another great visit to immigrant son Café. We were greeted as soon as we walked in the door and Michael our server was very attentive and helpful. I wanted lunch. my husband wanted breakfast so this was the perfect spot to get both. The immigrant sandwich is a prosciutto, burrata, pesto and olive oil served on a salted baguette or their house made focaccia. Do not pass on the house made focaccia! A side salad or Caesar salad is offered at an additional cost. I chose the Caesar salad and while the dressing was good, it was a little too tangy for me and many pieces of the lettuce were showing signs of browning, but the delicious sandwich was really the focal point. My husband devoured his Giovanni omelette, filled with prosciutto, pancetta, provolone, and caramelized onions, and the side potatoes are just the perfect blend of seasoning, caramelized onions, peppers, and red potatoes. I snuck a few just so my review could be accurate (ha ha). The café is tastefully decorated for Christmas and is in the heart of Ventura on Main Street, There is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating including a nice bar area. It can be a busy restaurant at peak hours and worth the wait.

The food was fresh and delicious. Service was fast and friendly. We both ordered Bloody Mary's and Smoked Salmon Eggs Benedict and they both were great! They have an outdoor bistro and one room of the restaurant opens to the outside. Very fun place!

The blueberry margarita and limoncello beverages were my two drinks of choice, recommended by our lovely waitress Bethany. I liked my drinks a little sweet and girly and both fit that vibe. Shared some oysters with the wife and some crab cakes, they all hit the spot and were solid appetizers to start with. I also got a cup of clam chowder before my main meal. One of the better clam chowders I've had to date. Nice and creamy, fresh and satisfying, it almost had me wishing I ordered a bowl instead. My wife tried mine too and had to order her own right after. The lobster roll with some fries was my main course. So good! The bun was lightly toasted and crisp and the lobster was just sweet and buttery without being too heavy. Very satisfying. And then finally I had to wrap things up with a dessert. Their strawberry basque cheesecake was the easy choice for me. This is the kind of dessert where everyone says they're just going to have a bite and suddenly half of it is gone. I'm glad I split it because I could have easily indulged and eaten the whole thing on my own if the temptation was there. And again, service was excellent. It wasn't particularly busy when we were there. The drinks came in a little slow because there was only one bartender and the bar was busy but otherwise, our waitress checked in on us a healthy amount of times to see if we needed anything or to refill our waters. We sat outside so nice ambiance too. We went to three restaurants while visiting this area and this was the only one I really felt compelled to write a review for. Certainly recommend it.
