    Umami Potato Chips

I've driven by Luke's a few times and have seen a line out the door. Started looking into them on Instagram and decided to give it a try today as we spent the day in Ventura. Firstly, the service was fantastic. Everyone was friendly, the vibes were good and you can tell that the staff enjoyed their work. That comes across in a major way as the place felt inviting from the moment you walk through the door. I ordered an Arnold Palmer but they were out of their freshly squeezed lemonade. That's fine but a few minutes later, one of the managers brought me a full cup of lemonade to enjoy. The Arnold Palmer was fantastic! Highly recommend. Ice tea & lemonade separately were both tasty. Sandwiches are big and can definitely be shared between two. House made focaccia is to die for. Aioli has perfect balance and absolutely made the sandwich to die for. The house made chips and roasted carrots are mandatory. Overall, Luke's is everything you're looking for in a sandwich spot from the vibes, the service, quality and taste. Highly recommended.

Luke's is serving up some pretty good and unique sandwiches here in Ventura. Had the pleasure of stopping by for lunch and had a really good experiences. Defenitly worth trying if your in the area. First of all the bread they are using here for their sandwiches is incredible. You won't find a sandwich like this anywhere else in town that forsure. I went with the club sandwich and the quality of that thing was superb. Packed with so much flavor. Located off main st, you will find their new and nice resteraunt. They have a nice menu of about 10 sandwiches. A sandwich will run you $16 bucks which is pricy but so is everything else nowadays. Make sure to check them out if your a sandwich fan, you won't regret it.

    Italian, no tomato or mayo

3.75 stars, rounded up to 4. It's pricey, and I don't mind that if the food is terrific, but some things didn't quite hit that bar. The brisket melt (special of the month for April) was disappointing. The meat was tough and chewy. I'm sure it was a case of ordering the wrong thing. Unfortunately, I was the April fool that ordered it. My daughter ordered the Italian, no tomato or mayo. Overall, the sandwich didn't have a lot of flavor. The lettuce should have been dressed with oil, vinegar and salt. Yes, it's a low-brow Jersey Mike's move, but it works every time. The chickpea salad sandwich was the surprise winner. We also had the "umami chips", which taste like every other bag of seasoned chips, and the cucumber salad was refreshing. The dining area was spotless and the service was friendly.

Roast Beef $17 and House Chips $4

Absolutely delicious! The sandwiches are definitely pricey but each half could be it's own meal portion because these are thick boys. The ingredients definitely taste high quality. Loved the sides, tried all three: House Chips, Cucumber Salad and Zaatar Roasted Carrots. The only two sandwiches I have tried so far are the Roast Beef (which was amazing day of) and the Not-A-Cheesesteak which was awesome! Parking lot is very small and is shared with other businesses. There is a line out the door sometimes and they do sell out. Bathroom was clean and the seating area has always felt really clean. Really friendly employees who make you feel welcome.

Fully loaded Italian sandwich on fresh focaccia

A well deserved five star rating when you can heat up the other half of the sandwich the next day and it tastes just as good upon ordering it! My fellow yelpers in Ventura had me drooling over their sandwich pictures, so naturally I had to stop by. I ordered the Italian sandwich; which is made with house made focaccia. Add layers of Italian meats like prosciutto, salami, and fresh veggies and you have a delicious tasting sandwich. First bite was like whoa! The bread was so soft, and spongy. It's the perfect Italian sandwich to order on a hot day and take it to the beach or park. I was full from one half of the sandwich and brought the other half home. I honestly thought it wouldn't be as good the next day, but it was! I heated it up in my air fryer and to my surprise the bread didn't get hard. It was just as soft as when I ordered it. It's always a disappointment when your left overs don't heat up very well the next day and you have to toss it. Not this sandwich! Customer service here was friendly and my order didn't take long. There is a decent amount of seating inside, but no outdoor seating available. I came on a hot day, so that was fine by me. I enjoyed my sandwich indoors. Overall, a great place for a sandwich and hopefully I can try more on the menu next time.

This artisan sandwich shop in Ventura is one to bookmark. The focaccia bread, made in house was the game changer. Then combine the delicious and clean ingredients, these sandwiches were epic. Very generous portions here meant we were about to split two for our family of four. We grabbed The Club and The Italian, which were both super delicious. We added two sides of Umami Chips. Washed it down with a local hazy IPA from Ventura Brewing. Great sandwiches take time so pack some patience, but it will be worth the wait.

Good sandwich spot! Busy busy busy though. I was in town for the afternoon so I wanted to find a good meal for lunch. This place kept coming up as having good reviews so I decided to give it a shot. I popped in during peak lunch hour (12:30ish) and ordered the club sandwich to go. I got it without cheese as I'm dairy-free. It took quite a while until it was ready, 30 minutes. It's a BIG sandwich, I only ate half and that filled me up. Good for sharing or if you have a big appetite, maybe you can have a whole one. It's not insanely pricey, $16 for the club, but also pretty reasonably priced especially given its size. Is it the best sandwich I've ever had? No. But I'd recommend it if you're in the area. Here's what I loved about it. I loved that there was a good amount of meat in there. It was a good ratio of ingredients. I loved the other veggies like the sprouts, the tomato, the avocado. It made the sandwich taste fresh. Overall the flavor was really tasty, the chipotle mayo gives it a nice spice and creaminess. The focaccia was a little meh to me, I'd prefer it if the edges were crispy, instead, all of it is pretty soft. All in all, it's a pretty darn good sandwich though.

Luke's might be my new favorite lunch spot in Ventura, considering I've been here 4 times in like 3 weeks. The sandwiches are literally to die for. So far I have tried the BLAT, club, Italian, and romesco chicken and there are no flops, my favorite so far being the club. They make their bread in house and it is genuinely the best bread I have ever had. Each sandwich is so unique and flavorful, you are bound to find something you love. Everyone who works here is so kind and friendly and always makes sure you have the best experience possible. The inside is very modern, clean, bright, and feels very chill. They even have some cute merch! This spot is a must to check out!

Came from LA to Ventura for the day for work and decided to come here for a quick lunch bite and enjoyed it a lot! I ordered the BLAT. The ingredients tasted so fresh and the focaccia bread was delicious! This is definitely in my top 3 simple sandwich places. The staff was super friendly too. I would come back!

I LOVE a good sandwich and in my personal opinion, a sandwich on Focaccia or croissant elevates it to the next level, so seeing all their sandwiches made on focaccia made me super excited! I had trouble deciding between the roast beef and romesco chicken but opted for the roast beef based on some recommendations from other yelpers and will try the romesco chicken next time! There was a bit of a wait (20 minutes) and some after me were quoted at 30-40 minutes for their orders but this was at peak lunch time on a week day and being that they just opened, it is a very popular spot! Parking is limited but I was able to grab a spot on the street nearby. Everybody was super friendly and it was clear they were working as fast as they could to get orders out while still ensuring everything was made right. The space itself is large with many tables (though most were full when I left) and an energetic vibe. The roast beef sandwich itself was fantastic and an absolute beast lol I ate half for lunch and had the other half later for dinner. It was a bit messy with all the toppings and sauce so make sure to grab some extra napkins! All the ingredients were super fresh and I cannot wait to go back! Also excited to see they are next to Buena Bodega, which I also plan to give a try next time!

Delicious. Huge. Messy. Sandwiches. Luke's is a welcome addition to midtown, offering ample seating, friendly service, and a solid sandwich menu. I ordered the club and it was big enough for two meals for me. Next visit, I'll try the not a cheesesteak, the Italian, and maybe the panzanella salad!

Luke's is an awesome, new spot on Main St.! Today, I ordered the roast beef and it hit the spot. With in house made bread and fresh ingredients, this is one of the best sandwiches you can get in Ventura! Looking forward to checking out the rest of the menu. Also, hoping the online ordering gets up and running because it can be a wait to order and get your food.

This sandwich shop is Main Street's newest addition and it came to town making more friends every day! Folks working here are super friendly, helpful and very nice, the menu included sandwiches, a salad, house made chips and their rendition of rice crispy treats. I chose the chickpea Sammy on house made focaccia with alfalfa sprouts, sliced radish, chickpea salad and romesco sauce. It was unique and absolutely delicious! My friends chose the chicken club. The club is also on house made focaccia, house roasted chicken, alfalfa sprouts, heirloom tomatoes, bacon, Muenster cheese, and chipotle aioli. We were there close to 2 and the line out the door extended into the parking lot. It's worth the wait! There's inside seating and it was packed today. Music was playing loudly, so enjoy your food, not the time for intimate conversation. Parking is available in the small lot out front as well as on Main Street. Give it a go, it's delicious!

The employees were kind, place was clean, there's in and outdoor seating, and parking is what you make of it as PP is located on a blocked off street where cars are not permitted. All to say, research where you wish to walk about, find a meter or free parking lot - enough around, and put on your good yet cute walking shoes because you'll enjoy strolling about after your meal here - or drink. FOOD: I sooo loved my grill cheese. Instead of mushrooms I swapped for spinach - you're welcome. AND THE PICKLE ON THE SIDE - delish! So why 4 and not 5? Because of my limited lifestyle I found the menu a bit limiting. However, I am not a HUGE cheese person and I don't drink. With that said, I feel anyone else who loves to indulge in that world should have a super great experience. Mine was still great. WELL: I actually enjoyed my time and shall return. My mother loves a good red wine so I'll bring her too.
