One bite in, and I knew I was going to be sitting down later writing this review. This place is truly a local hidden gem! From the moment we walked in, we were immediately greeted with genuine kindness and hospitality. The woman who welcomed us--who we later found out was the owner--Alma--took the time to explain the different bagels and even offered us a piece of bacon while we were trying to decide which protein to get. That small gesture alone said so much about the kind of place this is. We ordered a breakfast bagel and the Crazy Turkey on a Crazy Bagel, and HOLY SMOKES. As a self proclaimed foodie, I can honestly say this was one of the best bagels I've ever had. The bagel was soft and delicious on the inside, but had this incredible crunch from the melted cheese. And the caramelized onions?! Every bite was ridiculously good. But honestly, what made the experience even better was the hospitality. We had the pleasure of meeting Alma, the owner, and she took the time to chat with us about the bagels, make recommendations, and tell us about some of the other food and drinks on the menu. You can genuinely feel the love she has for her business and her customers. Honorary shout out to Leah and Tony! There's seating inside as well as outdoor seating underneath umbrellas. It was a little warm outside, but still a cozy option if you enjoy eating outdoors. Great food + amazing hospitality + a local owner who genuinely cares = a place I'll absolutely be coming back to. Me and my partner found this spot by accident last time we were in the area, and loved it so much we made sure we came back this time! The two times we've been here, we had two different people take our orders, the first time a nice young man and the second time a nice woman. There's only outdoor seating, with umbrellas so not too hot if you're in the shade. There's also a good amount of parking, so shouldn't be a problem! Their 5-cheese Everything Bagel is THE BEST. If there was indoor seating, it would be a 5 star review. I usually get just avocado and my parent gets a sandwich and both are delicious. Can't wait until the next time we're in the area! read more

the coffees were really good - the matcha is comparable to starbucks (it's sweet) and the bagels are NOT traditional bagels. Doesn't mean they aren't good - but my kid said 'this tastes interesting' lol cause we've taught her different isn't always 'bad!' - but these 100% taste like cake bagels, there's zero chewy-ness to the bagels, they basically crumble in your mouth like cake bread. not bad... just, not what we expected. would i buy a bagel here again? probably not - maybe one of the lunch sandwiches would be good though - since it's kinda like bread. really cute spot though. just...not what we expected. read more

This place is located in a plaza so there's plenty of parking you order at the counter and they have plenty of freshly baked bagels that are massive. They also have flavored cream cheese is available and they also have specialty sandwiches to choose from.. I was craving a bagel and it was so lucky that I was near the cafe. They had a great variety of bagel sandwich options and you could also customize your order. The bagel was so fresh and soft it was easy to bite into. It was cool to watch them hand make the bagels. I really liked the ruben sandwich the meat was very tender. The person who took our order was very nice and patience with us because it took us a while to decide what we wanted. The little shop is so cute! It was soft, huge, satisfying, and will get me through the day. The guy at the counter was super helpful with suggesting the popular items. The inside is a little narrow with a few tables and seating outside. It is right behind community memorial, we were able to easily find parking. Took our bagels to go and devoured them at home lol. I'm not gonna lie, this might have been the best bagel sandwich I have ever had. We stopped by here after our morning workout and let me tell you this was the best place to refuel at. The inside was pretty small with not much seating, but there is additional seating outside, or you can take in the SoCal weather and eat on the beach like we did. The lady working was also so kind and thoughtful and truly made it a wonderful experience. I decided on a breakfast sandwich with ham egg and cheese which just melted in my mouth. I love cheese so I paid $1 extra for it to be on a 5-cheese bagel which was totally worth it and I would highly recommend. This was our first visit to Bagelicious Cafe, and I'm glad my wife and I stopped in. The restaurant is tucked behind Community Memorial just off Main Street but what an oasis it is. This review is tough because it's the tale of two things. Thing 1. The bathroom I was driving from San Diego to meet my sister in law, who lives in Ventura. I had to hit the bathroom after a couple of hours in the car. I walked through a dirty door, into a room with a broken fan in the middle of the room, and a shelf with a bunch of random things: cleaning supplies, pots with dead plants in them, dirty towels, and someone's new-ish looking shoes. The toilet had not been cleaned in a while. The handle to flush the toilet was missing. In it's place was a string sticking out of where the handle should be. This makes you think: If this dirt and lack of cleaning is ok in the bathroom, is it also ok in the kitchen? Thing 2. The food/service We opted to stay despite the terrible first impression. There was a very short line that went quickly. The cashier was friendly and answered a few questions for us. My sister in law was happy to learn they accepted the Twism coupon app and got us 2 for 1 coffees. We waited a reasonable time outside on one of their 5 patio tables until they brought us our coffees, then our food. The coffee was very good, the bagel was tasty, and a good value for the price. My sister in law and I discussed the bathroom situation and we feel it's enough that we would rather go somewhere else that is cleaner than return to Bagelicious Cafe. A little bit of cleaning, organization, and a $12 toilet handle would change all of this. read more

My husband and I stopped here for breakfast on our way home from our trip. The bagels did not disappoint! You could tell they are freshly made and delicious. You order inside and there are a few tables inside and a few tables outside to eat. We sat outside since it was such a nice day. The ordering process was easy and the food came out quickly and hot! Alma, you were a delight to talk to!! I've had this place bookmarked for a while now, and today I wanted to try something new and nearby my house. As other reviewers have mentioned, it can be a little tricky to find, but it's worth the effort. I ordered a Yucateco bagel with everything gluten-free bagel. The bagel was warm and filled with pork loin, coleslaw, chipotle dressing, and jalapeños. Wow, that was so satisfying and full of flavor! I want to go back to try more of their food. Unfortunately, the rainbow bagel can't be made gluten-free because it's too much work to make. But that's understandable, and I appreciate that they at least have some gluten-free options. They also have a drink menu that includes coffee, chai, and Mexican hot chocolate, which Alma told me is their best seller. I'll have to go back to try it some other day. Although the restaurant has just a few tables inside and outside, it feels cozy and comfortable. Most people probably take their food to go anyways. I sat down in one of the chairs for a few minutes while my bagel was being made, and I had a lovely conversation with Alma, which made the time go even faster. read more

Traveling from Miami, FL and stayed in Aventura for a night before heading to wine country. Sourced 2 brekkie spots for my quick trip. Boyfriend hankering for NY style bagels and this place was at the top of the list. He got a half dozen. I wanted a sesame seed and rye but got 2 poppyseed. I got a blueberry bagel with strawberry cream cheese (classic) and boy was that thang blue. Thought it might stain my tongue blue --- it didn't, but if it had, it woulda been worth it!
