Sourdough for days! Looks like this month's options are classic, country wheat, and rye (Jan 26). Per usual, they have their options of pastries, fresh coffee along with other gems. Recommend getting there earlier to give yourself access or more of their options which have a tendency to sellout daily. Service as always is the best and informative!

From the moment that I walked in, I knew I was in a very good bakery. The smell of beautiful sourdough bread permeate this entire storefront. If your bread number, give these guys a try. I went with a few friends to basically check out this new bakery. The smell in this place was just incredible. There is something so right about the smell of freshly made of bread. The two guys in there that helped me outstanding. Not only did they share with me some of their story, but they also spend some time to talk about Brett And why they love it so much. They had some homemade marmalade which was absolutely wonderful, and some incredibly different and fun compound butters. I was pretty full from lunch, but opted for a simple blueberry and oat cookie. The cookies texture was absolutely perfect: soft and chewy on the inside, and a little bit of crunch around the edge. The oat and blueberry was a fun and tasty combination. Honestly, these guys are great, and they make a phenomenal product. I will happily go here again when I'm in the area.

Clemente Baking recently celebrated their 1 year and has been putting out a lot of great new items, including one item in particular I have become a bit obsessed with - the asiago chive savory scone with Calabrian chile, it has a small kick but it is sooo good! Another new favorite is the citrus cake! I also recently tried the rustic rye bread and it is fantastic. Looking forward to trying all the new items including the rumored chai tea cake! :) don't miss out on the blueberry pistachio cookies and also check out the fresh jams/preserves and flavored butters they have as well!

Have been wanting to try for a while. Picked up their berry pastry, sourdough bread, citrus baked good. All yummy. Yes I added ice cream to my berry pastry, yum. Very friendly and informative staff.

Country sourdough. Heaven in a loaf.

What a hidden gem! These gentlemen have the art of baking serious and meaningful bread to a fine art. Limited quantities. Made daily. Old world style. 3 or 4 ingredients. If you're a bread aficionado, this is the place. Other daily treats, too and different speciality butter. It's a slice of heaven.

I saw someone's post on Nextdoor about this bakery, which sells organic sourdough breads and sweet treats. So I dropped by to see what they got. The owner/baker was the cashier at the time. He was nice and welcoming. The shop is small with a focused selection of bread, 3 types of sourdough, and some sweet treats like chocolate cookies, carrot cakes, sweet bars.. though they change the options daily. I got a loaf of country bread, and a chocolate chips cookie to try. The cookie is delicious, soft, and melts in your mouth. I made open sandwiches with leftover tri-tip steak using their bread. They were tasty. If you are a sourdough fan this bakery is definitely for you. I'm happy they use high quality, organic flour as their ingredients. I will stop by more often and definitely recommend!

The space is warm and inviting, the vibe is modern but comfortable, and owner Gina sets the tone -- she's genuinely lovely, the kind of person who makes you feel at home the moment you walk in. Now, the croissant. Classically French, no shortcuts. The exterior shatters beautifully, the inside is pillowy and impossibly buttery, and the layers are exactly what they should be. Paired with a great coffee, it's the closest thing to a Parisian morning you'll find around here. A bistro that respects tradition without feeling stuck in it. I love their pastries, but the recent price increases do make them a luxury item. Kouign Amann are my fave, but any of their croissants are also great. I haven't really tried their drinks. Had a Hot chocolate at the Camarillo location, and they even had a little latte art in the milk foam. A beautiful space to enjoy, but pricey overall. Service is usually fine, not overly friendly but that is also due to being so busy that they need to move the lines quickly and efficiently. At Camarillo, the server was much more talkative and friendly because it wasn't crowded when I went.

The gentleman that delivered our food just plopped the plates down and walked away. No gluten free options only macaroons! This pop of bakery and shop is licensed in Ventura and you can find them all over the county popping up for different events and markets. You just have to keep your eyes peeled and you'll find their delicious baked goods. As I mentioned above her biscuits are my obsession but also she makes the best sweet treats. My family loves her chocolate chip cookies, simple but done well. The touch of sea salt is tasty and the perfect amount. I've devoured her Dream Bars on occasion but truly everything they make is tasty here. I'm still overdue to buy some of their breads - will add that to my list next time.
