I had Americano to go with it. They made it perfectly the way I like it. It definitely tastes like coffee and the right temperature. Staff: everyone in that was so pleasant. You're greeted right away and they're very happy to explain to you all the different pastries and their coffees. Ambiance: The decor is a nice nice European coffee shop has tile wood, along with little cafe tables and chairs. I like the location. It's right off the freeway if you're coming from somewhere else. It's not on a busy street and if you want you can take a nice urban hike a walk around the area, then give yourself a treat at Butter and Fold!

Not only was there hardly any sweetness to them but there was hardly any flavor as well. They literally just tasted like bread. This was my item I picked up today, it was a seasonal pumpkin pastry recommended by the girl at the counter. Absolutely disgusting AND this small piece cost $9! I'm not kidding $9 I love supporting our local businesses here in Ventura and it's really sad that these pastries are so expensive and so below average in flavor

From the…read morevery beginning, she was warm, kind, and genuinely lovely to work with -- exactly the kind of person you hope to have around during such an important event. She created the most beautiful three-tier cake for us with delicate pearl details and softly textured rustic tiers that fit the wedding perfectly. It looked stunning, but what everyone kept talking about was how good it tasted. We chose different flavor combinations for each tier, and every single one was incredibly moist, flavorful, and delicious. For anyone debating between a cake and a dessert table, Ali does both beautifully -- but there's something so special about having a gorgeous cake as part of the celebration. Ours became such a focal point of the reception, and the cake cutting ended up being one of the sweetest, most heartfelt moments of the evening. I'm so glad we chose to include one. Ali also handled delivery and placement flawlessly, which made the whole process feel easy and stress-free. We couldn't have been happier with our choice and are so grateful for the care and talent she brought to the day.

Their wedding cake tasting package yielded a fun and tasty date night and gave us confidence in our choice to rely on them. Our guests adored the lemon bars and brownies and loved the variety we had in our three tier cake: top tier was red velvet cake with vanilla cream cheese filling, middle tier was a champagne cake with strawberry buttercream filling, and our favorite, the bottom tier, was a banana cake with banana brown sugar filling. They were communicative and clear with pricing and I couldn't be happier with their timeliness and the love they put into their goods. My husband and I highly recommend Sugar Lab Bake Shop and dream of their desserts. We can't wait for our anniversary cake!

Absolutely love Big Cheeks Bakery and I'm so sorry that this is a long overdue review. We are so…read morelucky to have so many amazing local artisans and bakers in Ventura County and Kristina with BCB is one of the best! This pop of bakery and shop is licensed in Ventura and you can find them all over the county popping up for different events and markets. They also have staple goods throughout the county at some of your favorite shops - for example Beacon coffee carries her delicious biscuits (which I go crazy for and buy every time). You just have to keep your eyes peeled and you'll find their delicious baked goods. As I mentioned above her biscuits are my obsession but also she makes the best sweet treats. My family loves her chocolate chip cookies, simple but done well. The touch of sea salt is tasty and the perfect amount. I've devoured her Dream Bars on occasion but truly everything they make is tasty here. I'm still overdue to buy some of their breads - will add that to my list next time. But being a fan favorite of our community, their goods do sell out fast so whenever you see they are popping up somewhere get there fast! Kristina is just a gem, a lovely person and so friendly - I love following them on instagram to see what they are up to next. A local small business with supporting for sure :)

Once I saw they were at a coffee trailer near my job ... I rushed over on my lunch break. They offer so many pastries and breads. I love love the Apple Cider donut, which is seasonal but uuuufff it's good! Probably one of the best donuts I've had in awhile. I can't wait to try more! Owner is also super sweet and kind! So happy to support! FYI - They are located Thursday to Saturday ( I believe ) as of today, at the Stay Golden trailer in front of the Ventura Lowe's . De nada ;)

My friend makes her own bread and she wanted to try some different types of flours. I ordered buckwheat and Sonora flour. I also bought 2 loaves of bread- a Honey Wheat Pan Bread and a Rosemary loaf. Both had a perfect crumb and were delicious! In their refrigerated cases were raviolis, pot pies and other premade items. I bought the lemon ravioli and it was light and so flavorful! I bought some of their sourdough crackers and I can't go back to boxed crackers again. Their bakery had lots of yummy looking croissants and specialty coffee drinks. I will definitely be back to try some of their produce and other items I wasn't able to try this last visit. I have a feeling I will be visiting a couple times a month!

All fresh. However. If you go here, MAKE SURE to check your bag before you leave. Three times, they have charged us for loaves of bread that didn't make it into the bag. Today, they forgot a sandwich and a loaf of bread and annoyingly, when I told them about the missing items, they sliced the bread before putting it in the bag. I didn't realize until way later in the day. I did not ask for that and I don't like the bread sliced there -- it goes bad way quicker. So, go there, love it, spend a lot (you will) and it's totally worth it. But I sure wish they had a better mechanism for filling orders correctly.
