Iced tea

I love this place! They have the best tacos and are located right on the pier. The employees are always cheery and prompt with their service. When I come I get their iced tea and Baja tacos. My partner gets the seafood burritos. They are reasonably priced and they even have a free water station. There is only seating outside so be sure to come on a day when the weather is good. There is also a public restroom nearby. Perfect place to grab a bite to eat then go out for a stroll on the pier. We look forward to coming back soon once the weather is nicer. :)

Always a solid choice. Tacos on the beach, what could be better? Street taco trio is only $6 during happy hour Mon-Fri. Order at the winwdow, get some water and they call your number. Perfect view, tall cold agua fresca, variety of beers and seltzers. Elote fries are off the chain, and don't forget their yummy churro donuts for dessert. Genuinely hope this place stays open forever!

Beach house taco, Baja taco, grilled shrimp burrito, calamari, chips and salsa
Mary K.

I really enjoyed this spot! The food was very flavorful and generously portioned. The calamari was one of the best I've had and I loved the chips and salsa, I just wish the salsa was spicier. I got the fried fish option for both of my tacos and it was perfectly crispy. The only thing I didn't like was the spring mix on the beach house taco. I just wish the tortillas were more soft and thin. The Baja taco had a lot of cabbage on it so I took the spring mix off and put some of the cabbage on that and it was good! The burrito was great too the shrimp almost melted in your mouth. Their Jamaica was refreshing. It's on a beautiful pier and plenty of seating. I would totally come back here!

Greta place on the pier to grab lunch and a beer! You can't beat the panoramic views! Counter service that's always quick.

This is slightly larger than a shack. Came highly recommended. And we were mid afternoon. They have a nice little happy hour menu. So we were able to get five dollar grilled fish tacos. They give you cups for water, and they're very nice the window. There is a small area that you can eat inside that somewhat protected. And a number of outside tables. We opted to walk down the pear a bit and get a table there which was really really nice. The tacos were really good. As long as you like coleslaw which I do. There's a lot of slaw over a very tasty piece of grilled fish that has some chili tartar sauce on it and it's very lightly spicy. The salsa was a big hit. A little spicy yes but it's a brown salsa that has a lot of vegetables in it which we liked a lot. The chips were a bit thick for me. Because we came middle of the afternoon we suspect that they've been sitting a bit. I wasn't a fan but my friend loved them. Definitely would return.

Great spot for a quick snack or a casual lunch with an unbeatable view. Sitting right on the pier you get a beautiful look at the beach while you eat, which makes it a perfect place to take a break and relax. It's an order at the window set up with pick up and the service is fast and efficient. It can get pretty busy around lunchtime, so expect long lines and sometimes a bit of a challenge to find a seat. regardless the food comes out quickly and hits the spot the mango margaritas are delicious, and super refreshing definitely worth trying. It's a perfect stop if you're riding bikes along the boardwalk and want to pass for a quick bite a drink and a great view before heading back out.

I didn't know they had a salad bar now?! I paid $60 for mixed salad tacos pretty much. The elote fries were the best thing here. I use to love this place.

LOVE beach house tacos. You can order online or phone it in ahead of time. I usually walk over from downtown or park in the structure near the pier. Favorites: Baja taco (grilled or fried!) - lots of cabbage and sauce Salmon taco - nice portion of grilled salmon Crunchy beef tacos Breakfast burrito - nicely grilled with well seasoned potatoes (anddd it comes with avocado!) Great customer service every time.

If you park at the parking structure nearby, you can get a 2 hour validation from Beach House Tacos. Came here on Labor Day and I think I manage to beat the crowd at 6:30pm. The line comes and goes so really depends on how lucky you get, but even then, waiting for the food took a while even though there were only 5 orders ahead of me. I got the Seafood burrito with Shrimp being the fish of choice and had it fried over grilled. I liked the burrito but I do feel like the seafood to burrito portion could be better. Besides the portioning, the green sauce they provide is very disappointing. If they had pico de gallo or the typical green sauce you get in Mexican restaurants, the overall flavor would be much better. Still a pretty solid meal though, which I'll give a 4 stars for.

New happy hours on Weekends! Rejoice! Come between 6-9 on Friday Saturday or Sunday and pick from a wonderful selection of ceviche, tacos and soups! The tacos are huge! I had to take one home! The clam chowder is wonderful as always. Dine inside or out or grab a beer upstairs and enjoy the view!

Chicken taco, fish taco, potato taco

This place is amazing. We ordered a beach house fish taco with grilled fish- the pineapple salsa was so delish! Fish tasted great. The elite chicken taco was creamy and delicious! The potato taco had roasted peppers on it which made it oh so divine. What I loved most about these tacos was how unique the favors were! The seating it outside and you can eat and look at the water. Heaven!!! Staff was super nice too.

Courtney F.

Please ignore the awful picture of the food, I promise it so much better than I captured it. I got their breakfast taco, fish taco, and pineapple agua fresca. Don't be concerned about small portions, these tacos were huge. I actually would have been fine with one but I'm not complaining that I tried two different types. Very fresh and the medium salsa was perfect. Also great spot to eat on the pier and people/dog watch

I've eaten at 3 of their locations, and perhaps this location may be slightly more geared to 'gringo' tastes. I had their breakfast burrito, and unlike most other tacquerias, they give you a lot of nice melted cheese. The beans didn't taste as salty or flavorful as some other taco places. But overall, very satisfying, just didn't have that fully tacqueria taste. I have really enjoyed their veggie Papas and rajas tacos at the Avenue location. This may be the best tacqueria for vegetarians, more options. Staff here tends to be younger (college ages), and generally very friendly. I actually sometimes just stop in for their Horchata. It's not homemade (as that is a very difficult drink to make!) but I find it satisfying. In general all the prices here are reasonable, less than some other places that are charging 15-17 for burritos. This is a strong recommendation if you are downtown and craving casual Mexican eats!

Prior to me becoming a pescatarian I tried their birria tacos and loved them. Since becoming a pescatarian my go to taco is always their spicy shrimp taco. Flavors are delicious. My husband gets their papas con rajas taco and also craves it. We sometimes go out of our way to go get tacos from here because we love them that much. This location has outdoor and indoor seating. It is in downtown so you would need to park in near by parking lots or street and walk. Overall, we have enjoyed it and will continue coming here.

But this spot completely exceeded our expectations. We ordered delivery, and even then, everything arrived fresh, well-packaged, and still absolutely delicious--which says a lot. The food was incredibly flavorful without being heavy or greasy (something that's hard to find). You could really taste the freshness in the ingredients, and every dish felt well-balanced and thoughtfully made. This is one of those places you don't necessarily expect to be that good, and then it totally delivers. We'll definitely be ordering again next time we're in Ventura!

For me, one of the best indicators that the food is going to be amazing is when there are dish photos on the menu. That alone sets the tone. The fresh salsa bar is a standout, and yes, they have Mexican Coke and cervezas. On weekends, don't miss the white pozole with crunchy rolled taquitos filled with ricotta-style queso and all the fresh fixings. Add that chili oil and thank me later. I also love their tacos, especially the veggie ones. I'm not vegetarian, but they're that good. The ambiance is casual and welcoming. Clean, bright, and no-frills in the best way. It feels like a true neighborhood taquería where you can come as you are, whether you're grabbing a quick bite or sitting down to enjoy your meal. I recently learned this is their first location, which makes it even better. It's family-owned, now with four locations across Santa Barbara, Oxnard, and Ventura County, yet it still feels grounded and local. You can dine in, take out, or order delivery. The place is spotless, service is quick, and the staff is genuinely kind. A solid go-to for quality Mexican food that hits every time.
