I know this sounds crazy, but I had never been to this restaurant, even though it's just a short walk from my house. Now that I've been there, I'm so glad I finally went! The restaurant is much bigger than I imagined. The service was amazing; all the waitresses were incredibly attentive and helpful. The food was fantastic! My family and I ordered their corner cakes, waffles, chicken, kids' cheeseburger, and chicken strips with fries. I tried a little bit of everything, and it was all delicious. Another thing I'd like to mention is their generous portions! We could have ordered less food, but we enjoyed every bite.

Lovely patio seating made for great ambiance. The service was good. I got the country fried steak and didn't care for it...it didnt have much flavor. I mostly ate the toast that came with amaaaaazing jam/jelly! That stuff was fire! Friend didn't care much for her scramble. The chili verde was every ones favorite but it wasn't hitting the spot. This is a place we would come back for drinks. Huuuuuge mimosas.

Came Saturday morning. While there was a long line, our party of 2 was seated immediately at the bar. The bar only has alcohol, no cold coffees unfortunately. Inside of the cafe is crowded and loud, but gorgeous. All of the staff seem happy to be there and are good at their jobs. Cinnamon roll - loved it! I loved how there were 0 firm parts, it was completely soft throughout. It's not the best cinnamon roll I've had in my life, but it was really good. It's on the lighter side when it comes to flavor, but I enjoyed that bc it doesn't make you feel sluggish . This cinnamon roll was a nice pick-me-up and was made with love! Breakfast burger - very juicy and quality ingredients but the meat itself was bland. Like it wasn't seasoned . Spicy Mexican Benedict- the hollandaise was good, but I'm hesitant to actually call it a hollandaise. It's an entirely new sauce. The chorizo was great. The o'brian potatoes were my favorite part. Overall a solid dish I'm not sure I'd return but I would come back for a takeout order of the cinnamon roll! This place is really nice but I think it would be better for drinks. They have an extensive breakfast cocktail menu and would make a great spot for those looking for some daytime drinks

I came to Art's specifically for their homemade cinnamon roll and it did not disappoint. The inside was oh so ooey gooey and the frosting had that quality homemade consistency - not the sometimes stale flakiness that you get elsewhere. Along with that I got a side of hash browns which wasn't anything special but still a good breakfast staple. Our waitress served us quickly and was very friendly. The inside and outside was super cute like modern diner vibes, and the colors were everything. They have an outdoor seating area which looked nice but it was pretty warm that day so we opted to sit inside. I love a good patio area though so I will definitely take advantage of that next time.

Another really good time and great meal at Art's Corner Cafe My girlfriends and I got together for Valentine's Day brunch and mimosas Stephanie took really good care of us. A couple of the girls had never been there before, but I have a feeling they will be returning... Everything that could go right did go right

Went to Arts for breakfast before taking the kiddos to Santa Barbera Museum. Service was very friendly, the inside was nice and cozy! And food was really good, we ordered their New York steak and eggs and it was really good, initially went in there for their cinnamon roll and it was good just that icing was cold but other than that it was good. Really enjoyed their biscuits with gravy and biscuit with butter and jam! Really enjoyed will be back when in the area!

Wanted to try someplace different and I believe we came here when it had a different ownership. The place was very crowded but we only had to wait about 5 minutes and this was a Monday. It was extremely loud when we got there but when the Birthday party left, quoted down. We were served coffee right away, but the mugs are very small. Coffee was good not excellent. Our server was Stephanie, she apologized for taking a while but we told her we were not in a hurry. I had a Chili Verde Omelette which had just the right amount of spice. I had fruit instead of potatoes, very good. I also got a homemade biscuit, with homemade jam, took it home. My husband had a Whole Hog omelette but wished it had more cheese. He got hash browns which we shared and an English Muffin.

~ FLAKY CORNER CAKES & CINNAMON ROLL DREAMS ~ Art's Corner Cafe is one of those Ventura breakfast spots that totally lives up to the hype. We came in late morning on a weekend and were seated right away, which was already a win because this place is popular. The space feels clean, updated, and lively without being overwhelming... kind of like a classic diner, but elevated. Inside is so pretty, they definitely took the time for interior design. Let's talk food because it's sooo good. The Art's Corner Cake is their take on a pancake, and it's thin, flaky, almost crepe-like. Learn from my mistake and order two, one is never enough. Perfect with butter, syrup, or their homemade jam. The cinnamon roll absolutely deserves its cult following: homemade, fluffy, loaded with frosting, and still amazing even reheated later. Easily a must-order. For savory, the Spicy Mexican Benedict was delish. The chipotle hollandaise has a nice smoky kick, and the chorizo, avocado, and eggs all worked perfectly together. We also tried Art's Potatoes, topped with chile verde, eggs, and cheese, hearty, flavorful, and a solid portion. Service was friendly and efficient, food came out fast, and they even take payment tableside which makes leaving quick and easy. Prices are reasonable, there's parking in the back, and the menu has tons of options, so everyone can find something they'll love. I'll definitely be back for more brunch!!!

A tasty chilaquiles... just brush the bizarre onions off to the side. Great hash browns too!

Coming from the valley, always look for trendy Oxnard food places and this had been circled for a year. decided to go today at 9am on a Sunday morning in March. Was pretty busy, but lots of seating so didn't wait at all for one. A very non-descript, quiet corner with a nice patio area. Inside is cool, but I wanted some nice coastal morning air so sat outside and ordered what I was craving, a chilaquiles. This one was good; sauce, ample scrambled eggs, sliced avocado, and saved me the expense of a side order by including a tasty perfectly fried hash brown. Their coffee is bottomless and very good as well. Service was great by Jocelyn and the entire crew. Will 100% be back with friends and/or family, to try many other items.

My new fave breakfast spot in Ventura. Can't believe it took us so long to try it! They have so many options on their menu and you can't go wrong with pretty much anything. I'm obsessed with their cinnamon rolls, crispy pancakes, & chilaquiles!

    LIFE CHANGING CINNAMON ROLL!
    Kim C.

Life long Ventura resident, but ashamed to admit I'm a first-timer. I kept hearing about their cinnamon rolls but I've been trying to be good. Woke up in a bad mood so I needed a pick me up and headed over to give it a shot. I was greeted with a smile and was sat quickly. Very cool interior ambiance! Paula was super fun and friendly, got my cinny started right away. It came out hot and fluffy; soooo incredibly delicious! My bad mood was cured! Paula came back to check on me and even though I was stuffed, I had to try the chile verde with some hash browns. It came out quick and was perfect! The best chile verde I've ever had! I was secretly hoping my experience would just be mediocre so I could get back on my fitness journey but now I'm doomed knowing this place is so dang good. Paula was definitely a sweetie and one of the highlights of my experience! I can't wait to come back! Support local! This place is IT!

The decor is crowded and not cohesive. It feels cluttered. The tables are and walls and seats are sticky even when clean. It just all seemed a bit...dingy. They had that fun little peg game to play to keep you busy but half of them are missing pieces and they are also really dirty. We ordered hot chocolate (yum) and some basic breakfast items. My husband really liked his items. He said he would give his at least a 4 stars, but this is my yelp review lol. My food was very bland and not flavorful. I could have made the same thing at home. I don't mind spending money. In fact, I love going out to a good breakfast, but it has to be a good breakfast. If it's subpar it's really a waste of money and calories for me and that what I feel this experience was. I think I got "crunchy" French toast and it had mildly soggy corn Flakes on it. The idea was fun but the execution wasn't great. My husband simply ordered meat, eggs and potatoes. It was okay, nothing to write home about. Take what I say with a grain of salt and maybe try it for yourself. It could have been an off day for the kitchen or staff? Personally I don't think I will be back or recommend but I can tell you there were clearly regulars here that day and they do have quite a reputation so at some point they have done something right.

At 9:30AM there was already a line with about 5 parties ahead of us. We only waited for about 20 minutes and we were able to sit al fresco to enjoy the sun & people watching. I ordered a Cortado with Oat milk for my espresso kick and my husband enjoyed the Tuscan Sunrise juice from the seasonal menu (fresh pineapple, orange, carrot, ginger, lemon and tumeric) that was refreshing and restoring. I loved their signature Breakfast Lasagna, which was fully stacked and hearty - layers of bacon, bechamel, prosciutto cotto, spinach, eggs, and mozzarella, all smothered in marinara and topped with a fried egg. It's more than filling and great to share with someone who ordered brunch entree on the sweet side like pancakes or Belgium waffles. My husband had the Chicken Avocado Bacon Panini with Swiss & cheddar cheeses, butter lettuce, garlic aioli and caramelized onions. He asked to omit the roma tomatoes. I had a bite and it was yummy...great for a lunchy entree. We finished the meal with another season menu item, the Pistachio Ricotta Cake. I could have ordered two...not to share, just for me. It was really good and I hope they keep it to their standard menu. The service was at a slower pace, but the server did check on us periodically. Once your seat is ready, you order at the counter and you get a number. The staff that took our order was awesome. Friendly, warm, high energy, and efficient. Our order came out in about 10-15 min. Water is self serve. Drip coffee- perfect and high quality. It tasted like Kona coffee! Lavender matcha- great and well balanced Japanese milk bread- this fell a tad short for me. I would've liked both sides to be seasoned/flavored. Japanese Milk bread is typically moist and fluffy , however this was a little dry likely due to the toasting of the bread. The color overall was lighter than expected. It's served with a berry sauce which is really yummy. Side of smashed potatoes- really good. Perfectly seasoned and ketchup tasted homemade Aussie meat pie- soooooo delicious! The crust was awesome and the meat was tender. We also loved the side salad because it had a little zing of lemon. A rare moment where a side salad is actually fantastic! Miso chicken katsu Sando- really loved this! The chicken breast is huge. As other reviews stated, it's not a typical chicken katsu. If you like honey, you'll like this. The honey sauce hits you on the front end and ends with a little acidity from the aioli and slaw. The sandwich was super juicy and flavorful. While large, it didn't feel heavy. Each bite got better and better. Brontë bowl - OUR FAVORITE!!!! Ok first off, I hate mushrooms with a passion, but I kept them in the order because they are curried and I knew theyre an essential part of the dish. They were awesome. I didn't mind them one bit. This dish does not need salmon, and if anything I think adding it would've been too salty. I naturally eat fast but this bowl makes you slow down because of the layers/elements. The sweetness of onions, the creaminess of the feta and avocado, the crunch from the seeds, the delicious pesto, the buttered bread, the perfectly poached eggs - UGH! So perfect! Everything had a purpose. I am obsessed with this bowl. It is so much more filling than you'd think. I could eat this everyday and I hope they never change it. Ambiance was great. We sat at the bar which felt spacious. The inside is gorgeous and just puts you in a good mood. The best thing about this place is the staff. Literally every single person we interacted with was amazing! Everyone here is friendly, warm, and just looks happy to be there. I can't wait to return!!!!!

There is something about this place that immediately lifts your mood the moment you walk inside. The atmosphere feels warm lively and full of personality in a way that teenagers naturally connect with. It has that comfortable playful energy where you can sit down talk with someone enjoy your food and feel like you are part of a fun little world without any pressure at all. I did not expect it to feel that youthful and inviting but it absolutely did. One thing that stood out to me more than anything else was the garlic bread. Busy Bee Cafe is the only location I know that has garlic bread with a taste I genuinely love. I do not even know if they sell that exact garlic bread online and honestly that mystery makes it feel even more special. The flavor is warm buttery and rich in a way that hits you instantly. It is the kind of garlic bread that teenagers would enjoy a lot especially if they are hanging out with friends and looking for something comforting and delicious to share. It is rare to find something so simple that leaves such a strong impression. While I was there I noticed a lot of teenagers enjoying the space and it made perfect sense. The cafe has a classic retro charm that feels both nostalgic and fresh at the same time. It is the kind of place where teenagers can take pictures enjoy the decor and feel completely at ease. The environment supports creativity and fun without trying too hard. I appreciated that same feeling myself. It reminded me of how easy it can be to enjoy a place when the atmosphere naturally encourages you to relax and be present. I have only visited Busy Bee Cafe once in my life before writing this review but that one visit was more than enough to make it memorable. It is rare to find a place that feels relaxed and exciting at the same time but this cafe manages to do that effortlessly. The garlic bread alone makes me want to return but the overall experience is what stays with you. It is playful welcoming and full of life in a way that makes you feel mentally sharp youthful and connected to the moment. I would highly recommend that teenagers go to Busy Bee Cafe in Ventura. It gives them a place to enjoy great food take pictures hang out with friends and feel creative and energized. It is one of the most enjoyable and unexpectedly fun spots I have been to in a long time and I am glad I got to experience it the way I did.
