Freedom coffee has the relaxed, communal, beachy vibes which embody the spirit of Ventura life. I stumbled upon Andy's coffee cart while enjoying a walk along the beach. I saw he uses Beacon coffee, a local Ventura coffee master IYKYK, so I was impressed. Parking is in a lot nextdoor within Aloha steakhouse. The service was quick and friendly. Andy is eager to make your drink exactly as you like it so don't be shy to ask about specialization for your drink. Like many Ventura locals he wants your return business. I ordered my usual oatmilk latte and I was pleasantly surprised it was not watered down or weak. I sat, sipped and watched the waves crash. It's an experience you should try. I highly recommend this coffee bar!!

Visiting Ventura for a quick little get away! Always looking to support local small businesses when I can. This little gem of a find was fantastic! Ordered the Hawaiian Latte with a poppy seed lemon muffin and my husband had a flat white with a cinnamon coffee cake muffin. I love coffee and savor every sip, picking up in the different flavors and aromas. I love love loved my Hawaiian Latte! Just the right amount of coconut and macadamia nut and I loved the fact that oat milk is their go to for this drink. My husband enjoyed his flat white with his pump of vanilla. Their pastries were extremely fresh and delicious! Customer service was great and the location couldn't be anymore perfect and great choice of music playing in the background! If you're ever in the Ventura area, you must try Freedom Coffee!

Freedom Coffee has the right offerings at the right location. It's a coffee stand on the boardwalk - it's that simple. They offer a few prepackaged food items. This is a super convenient place to get a quick drink to aid your sauntering down the boardwalk. The staff had the friendly beach vibe going on.

I ordered the hot Hawaiian Latte, it coconut and macadamia. The service has fast, and friendly. Just a small coffee cart by the pier. Very chill California vibe, the coffee was delicious, with stopping for

Checked out this adorable little mobile coffee kiosk yesterday morning and it was great! From our hotel balcony, I noticed Freedom Coffee had a consistent line of happy customers so I figured we'd walk down to get some drinks ourselves. Andy, the cart owner/operator was very cheerful and friendly. We were surprised by his sizable menu considering the size of his shop. As someone that can't drink coffee, I was delighted to see he could make any drink on the menu with decaf. For the first time in 10+ years I was able to enjoy a quality coffee drink. I had the iced Coco Mocha with Decaf and oatmilk; it was so good that I'm left wondering why the heck I didn't go back for a second. My husband had an iced coffee with coconut added and enjoyed the quality of his beverage as well. Andy also had a small offering of pastries to accompany your beverage if you choose. The tea selection was also a good variety. Absolutely recommend Freedom Coffee.

Amazing! The iced California latte was heavenly. I ordered and when my coffee was ready she brought it to me. Excellent customer service. Right on the beach. I parked in the structure and he didn't charge me since I was only there a few mins. Just a great experience overall! I will be back (I wish everyday!)

This coffee cart is excellent! The coffee is great, the location is beautiful, and the service is always very pleasant. I love all the rare flavor choices they have, and that oatmilk is the standard for their drinks. I usually get the Hawaiian Latte because the macademia nut flavor is heavenly and reminds me of my trips to Hawaii. The prices are pretty decent, too. It's so nice to grab a coffee and walk the beautiful promenade or pier. It's a must try if you are in the area.

Love that the default milk is Oatmilk specially, for your favorite lactose intolerant girly. I ordered the honey chai latte, which only comes in a 12 ounce size. It's very tasty - warm and sweet. I like a little more foam in my lattes, but that's just me personally. The employee was really friendly and happy to be in my Yelp pictures. She was also very warm and welcoming at 8:20 on a foggy day - she brought the sunshine and made a great drink to warm me up before I got out in the water to surf. The coffee cart is stationed right near surfers point near C St. just outside the Crowne plaza hotel. It's very convenient to get your morning coffee before you hit the surf.

The best. Staff is always sweet and so nice to grab and go on a walk at the beach. Very convenient! The California latte (oat milk, vanilla, cinnamon) is so so good. I get it half sweet and it's the actual perfect drink. Big fan.

Love walking the beach and enjoy a nice cup of coffee so its perfect Freedom Coffee is on the boardwalk. You can't miss it. I love the signs they have on walks directing people to their stand. You'll find it in between the parking lot and Crowne Plaza. I enjoy drinking plain black coffee but signature drinks always intrigue me. I always have to see if I can taste all the flavors/reminds me of what they are calling it. I had to try their Hawaiian latte. I had my little one with me so I got him a stroopwafel. I had never had one and I figured he wasn't going to finish it. Owner was there and he's super sweet. Very nice. Very friendly with my son too. I was impressed at my latte. Even before I tasted it I could smell the coconut in it. Very delicious. I am glad the espresso didn't over power the flavors. Whenever I need an extra boost and I am on my morning walk, I will be stopping here.

    Love their cups !

Coffee was great! The coffee cart vibes were chill. The coffee cups were my favorite! I love the location. We walked over from our hotel, got our coffee and walked the pier afterwards. There was a line but they served everyone rather quickly. We didn't feel like we waited that long. They have a good variety of coffee and food (breakfast) options to choose from. Will definitely be back next time we're in town.

I never knew this little coffee stand was here - I stumbled across it while talking a walk off the boardwalk. This is literally the definition of a hidden gem. I would've never expected the coffee to be so good. The espresso had such good flavor and mixed so well with the mocha. One of the best mochas I have ever had. Love that there is now a great place to get coffee on the boardwalk. I always love talking a walk here, so my walks are now going to be even better with a good place to stop for coffee. Highly recommend stopping here for your caffeine fix.

The building is an original, 60s beach modern. It's a bit rundown, but it's clean and the staff is friendly, with plenty of parking and seating. Large menu of various burger shack food items: burgers, hot dogs, tacos, (fried!) burritos, chicken, fries, rings and of course, their famous soft serve! The soft serve is the thickest and creamiest, and comes in all shapes including cones, dips, sundaes, malts, blizzards and our favorite, their shakes. I have not had a better strawberry shake anyplace, including expensive ice cream shops. The crinkle fries are always hot and crispy and the food items are what you would expect - fast food but a notch up from the major chains. It's cash only and like most places, prices have increased over the last few years, but we will continue to return whenever we are in the area or passing through.

This is not a taqueria. Lastly for 5 dollars I can buy a pint of ice cream ffs. What a dissapointment. Not worth coming here to damage you car's alignment. If youre gonna spend money for ice cream, go to dairy queen or baskin robins. The places best days are behind it.

I usually buy ice cream from a truck, but today I felt like going to a store, so I visited. The store's interior is classic and reflects Mr. Softee's history. Looking at the old photographs displayed in the store, you can see that Mr. Softee has been loved by people for a long time. I usually order a simple vanilla soft-serve ice cream from the truck, but since I was at the store, I decided to try something different. I had a strawberry sundae, and my friend had a warm chocolate cookie sundae. Of course, both were delicious. The ice cream here is simple and reminds me of the ice cream I had as a child. They also sell original merchandise in the store, which was really fun. It's a fun place for both children and adults. A while back I read a Mister Softee review by my Yelp friend Gina. She had rented the truck for a family party and wrote about how great the experience was. That's where I got the idea. But instead of a family party, I thought it would be fun to have a party for all the kids on our street. Our street is filled with kids! I mean, the street is only like two blocks long, but there are well over twenty kids. They're out there every day, riding bikes, shooting hoops, running around without a care in the world. Good times! My Wife designed and printed up invitations, then went door to door up and down the street to personally invite everyone. She already knows pretty much everyone, so the Parents were cool with the idea. So today was the big day. I was super excited when the Mister Softee Truck pulled up and parked right in front of my house. And then the driver turned on the music. Aw yeahhhh! And that's when the kids started coming. Big kids, little kids, Parents carrying kids, so many kids. A small line formed. It was a trip watching what the kids ordered. They got to pick whatever they wanted from the menu. They could pick a Cone, a Sundae, a Shake, Ice Cream Sandwich, even a Banana Split. It cracked me up how many ordered a small cone. I mean, not even dipped. Just a plain old small cone. Such a sensible order! I loved it!!!! One little guy ordered a Root Beer Float. I was like, that would've been my order at his age too. I like how the Mister Softee Truck serves their Root Beer Floats: they give you the rest of the can of Root Beer they use to make the float. A couple kids needed a non-dairy alternative, and I was relieved that the Mister Softee Truck had some attractive options like Sno Cones or colorful frozen ice treats. Most of the kids enjoyed their treat right there next to the truck. Parents took photos of their kids and kids chased ice cream drips down their arms with their tongues, as kids do. All of the kids and their parents were super appreciative and thanked my wife and I for the party. We thanked them for coming. There were clearly a lot of happy kids on our street today, but I don't think any could've been happier than me. Thank you to my neighbors, and all the neighborhood kids Thank you Mister Softee! And most importantly, Thank You to my wonderful Wife for enthusiastically supporting my idea right from the start. Mikey C says: Oreo Swirl for me!
