Quiche Of The Day with a salad.
    Joy T.

We discovered this place a few years back when we visited Ventura Harbor. Back then it was for breakfast, and the place was very busy, but I remember we enjoyed the food. Today we were just passing through the area on the 101 and remembered Le Petit. So we took the short detour to the harbor. Today it was in the mid afternoon, and they weren't busy so we were seated outside with a view of the harbor. My husband had the seafood crepes and I had the quiche of the day. The service was exceptional, as was the food. We highly recommend this place.

This was a supposed to be an iced Mocha.

Le Petit should be renamed to Le Scam. My wife and I are avid coffee drinkers around Ventura and this place shouldn't be allowed to have a Macchiato on their menu.

We went here for the first time on Sunday for Sunday brunch with bottomless mimosas. We sat on the outside patio. Parking was easy and close to the restaurant. It's small but cute with a spacious outdoor patio and indoor seating as well. They have a nice variety of selections on the menu to choose from. The champagne was really good, it didn't make us super tired or give us a headache. The service was excellent, the food was delicious and the ambiance was beautiful. We had a lovely view of the marina with perfect weather. It was a wonderful first experience. We will definitely go again when in Ventura

This is a staple for us when anywhere close to Ventura. The service is always amazing and the food.... The hardest part for us is to narrow our choices. There are just so many. A' sandwich' today?? Croquet Monsieur? Prosciutto with warm Brie on a baguette? Crab cake sandwich? Or should I get a salad Nicoise? Then there is the decadent Seafood crepe! Or simple steamed mussels or clams in white wine, butter and garlic. Oh my! Then there's the wine. ahhh... I'm going to make you guess what we decided but I guarantee we are happy!

Upon walking in on a Thursday night for dinner. I was greeted immediately. Was given the perfect corner table. They served us water immediately. I noticed the place was extremely clean. Well taken care of. And had excellent decor for the theme. Very warm and quaint. Menus were brought to us right away. We opted for Two French onion soups. Croque monsieur w/ potatoes. And Seafood crepe French onion soups. Finally a French onion soup that tasted authentic. Rich broth with perfectly caramelized onions. Sealed with bread and perfectly melted Gruyère cheese. Croque monsieur. Nicely cut thick ham. Good light Béchamel sauce. Lots of melted cheese. Tastes absolutely fantastic. The potatoes it came with were heavy. I should have got a salad instead. But that doesn't mean the potatoes weren't good. They were excellent! Seafood crepe. Smothered in cheese, sauce and herbs. Seafood tastes fresh, crepe was made correctly. Seasoning was on point. Staff was extremely attentive and took care of us very well. So would I recommend this place? Most definitely. Glad I found it. It's definitely a great change and option for something to eat that's different around here. If you like crepes, traditional French onion soup and a good croissant? Check it out! Food: far above average. Decor: older but makes sense for the theme. Staff: professional and attentive. Cleanliness: very clean. Bathrooms: very clean. Atmosphere: relaxing, chill French music playing.

Manny was a great server! He explained the different coffee offerings and checked on us frequently. He even was able to divide our checks at the end. The food is authentic French food! The Benedicts have authentic french bread instead of a mushy muffin like most places. The flavors were delicious. My friend also loved her quiche. The homemade salad dressing was also a nice touch. Paired with designer coffees and scalloped potatoes and you have a great dining experience. The views of the harbor are an added plus.

Le Petit is a French American Restaurant offering Salads, Sandwiches & more. Le Petit also has a Bakery that offers coffee & European Pastries. Find Le Petit towards the end of the shops & business at the Ventura Harbor. Plenty of free parking in the huge lot. Grab coffee, pastries & bakery items To-Go at the Bakery located at the left side of the restaurant... Wait to be seated if dining in... Cute indoor seating & patio seating overlooking great views of the Harbor. I can't review the actual restaurant yet since I haven't dined in... I did order a couple of baked goods from the Bakery. $15 for 2 Croissants seems a bit lavish. It was definitely a good size & a delicious Almond Croissant... My friend ordered a Cappuccino & some pastries. She didn't like her drink, she said it didn't taste like she expected... I give them a 3 1/2 stars (round up to 4)... I would probably come back for another $7 Twice Baked Almond Croissant. Plus, I couldn't stop eyeing those pastries. Would have to try some next time.

This was a perfect spot for a brunch outing. Great service, great view of the Ventura Harbor, and a lovely fountain at the outside patio. The menu is unique, and has a great variety of options like quiche. The food was fresh and deliciously tasty!

Do they have French onion soup?

It was listed yesterday on board! So yes they have it.

Are there heaters on the patio?

To be totally honest, I was a little bit intimidated by how the process works. But I assume caught on that. It was almost like a chipotle kind of style place. I decided to go with a bowl. I was able to choose between three types of different bases, and I went with the basmati rice and the couscous was able to choose a couple of salad options as well. Luckily, we were able to mix and match since I can never make a decision on getting All three types of greens that they have. Then moved over to the hummus section and I was able to get the three most popular hummus flavors, which I actually don't remember what I got. I know one of them was an olive flavored one and another one was a little more spicy. Then over to the protein side of things, you can mix up to two different choices, and some of the other options there is an upgrade fee. Then removed over to the toppings and these are all unlimited and so I was able to get feta cheese, tomatoes, olives, purple cabbage, everything was so endless and amazing At the very end, you're able to choose two different kind of sauces and at the very end, my bowl was actually pretty heavy in weight but most importantly it was very delicious Thank you to the team member here that was very helpful and walked me through the process. I think I might've been too overwhelmed. Otherwise I might've just opted for the burger which I may still have to try next time. The sweet potato fries also look very good and I will have to try those next time for sure. There's a ton of parking spots right outside. I can't get a little bit busy here so she'll be so many different food options but generally, I haven't really had an issue with finding a spot.

Last Sunday we were ready to get out of the relentless summer heat of the east side of the county,…read moreand headed for the coast. I told Dear Hubby that fish & chips at the harbor seemed like a great idea, and he agreed. Initially, I tried to get us a table upstairs at Brophy Brothers, overlooking the water. That was going to be about an hour's wait, so we retreated downstairs to Brophy's fast casual option - On The Alley. Essentially, it's the same fish & chips recipe, so all good there. The line was short and moved pretty quickly. While DH finished up ordering, I went out to the indoor-outdoor room to scout a table. I wasn't able to get one against the window, but we were still able to have a water view, just a bit further away. DH was hungry, so he ordered a burger, as well as the fish & chips. He shared a small portion of said burger, and it was really good. At a Brophy's establishment, I think of seafood, but thumbs up on that burger! The portion of fries they provided were extra generous. We missed having Adored Granddaughter with us, as she would have help demolish those fries! We brought some home to revive in the air fryer. I only had water, as they don't really have any beverage options that work with my restrictive dietary preferences. (i.e., no caffeine, and low- or no-sugar). The fish & chips hit the spot, although the fish was somewhat oilier than usual. DH got a cup of their delicious clam chowder, which was served with their delicious sourdough bread. That I got to have some of, and happier for it. Sunday afternoon at the harbor made for a great spot to people-watch. There were lots of folks who seemed like they had come from points east to get a break from the heat, just like us. We all tend to have a look that doesn't portray "Ventura local". Lots of young families, which was nice to see. Made us miss our granddaughter, for sure.

Curiosity got the best of me because it looked like a house so I decided to dig a little bit more into it. Apparently, it's a 1920s Spanish bungalow They have both indoor and outdoor seating. Service is attentive and very friendly. Now the food... Oh man, it was delicious!! I was eating healthy and got just a plain chicken bowl and that was really nothing to write about, but that was my fault because who gets that when surrounded by such yummy food like Strawberry Matcha pancakes or Churro French Toast with kiwi, banana, berries and chantilly cream ‍ Anyways, we got the maple bacon beignets for the table and wow, that was delicious. Warm, fluffy, sweet, salty... yummm!! My son got the 2+2+2. At $23 it was a little pricey for two eggs, 2 bacon and 2 pancakes, but the pancakes were huge and barely fit on the plate. The bacon was also very thick and tasty. Warning: That the house made vanilla caramel syrup they serve is super addicting and you're gonna want to drizzle everything with it!! Everyone else at the table was really happy with what they ordered. Someone also ordered a biscuit on the side and that was by far the fluffiest biscuit I had ever seen. Usually they can be dry and hard, but this one was quite opposite. I've seen other pictures online and I guess it can be a hit or a miss because they don't seem to be consistent.
