This is a staple for us when anywhere close to Ventura. The service is always amazing and the food.... The hardest part for us is to narrow our choices. There are just so many. A' sandwich' today?? Croquet Monsieur? Prosciutto with warm Brie on a baguette? Crab cake sandwich? Or should I get a salad Nicoise? Then there is the decadent Seafood crepe! Or simple steamed mussels or clams in white wine, butter and garlic. Oh my! Then there's the wine. ahhh... I'm going to make you guess what we decided but I guarantee we are happy!

Manny was a great server! He explained the different coffee offerings and checked on us frequently. He even was able to divide our checks at the end. The food is authentic French food! The Benedicts have authentic french bread instead of a mushy muffin like most places. The flavors were delicious. My friend also loved her quiche. The homemade salad dressing was also a nice touch. Paired with designer coffees and scalloped potatoes and you have a great dining experience. The views of the harbor are an added plus.

Upon walking in on a Thursday night for dinner. I was greeted immediately. Was given the perfect corner table. They served us water immediately. I noticed the place was extremely clean. Well taken care of. And had excellent decor for the theme. Very warm and quaint. Menus were brought to us right away. We opted for Two French onion soups. Croque monsieur w/ potatoes. And Seafood crepe French onion soups. Finally a French onion soup that tasted authentic. Rich broth with perfectly caramelized onions. Sealed with bread and perfectly melted Gruyère cheese. Croque monsieur. Nicely cut thick ham. Good light Béchamel sauce. Lots of melted cheese. Tastes absolutely fantastic. The potatoes it came with were heavy. I should have got a salad instead. But that doesn't mean the potatoes weren't good. They were excellent! Seafood crepe. Smothered in cheese, sauce and herbs. Seafood tastes fresh, crepe was made correctly. Seasoning was on point. Staff was extremely attentive and took care of us very well. So would I recommend this place? Most definitely. Glad I found it. It's definitely a great change and option for something to eat that's different around here. If you like crepes, traditional French onion soup and a good croissant? Check it out! Food: far above average. Decor: older but makes sense for the theme. Staff: professional and attentive. Cleanliness: very clean. Bathrooms: very clean. Atmosphere: relaxing, chill French music playing.

Le Petit is a French American Restaurant offering Salads, Sandwiches & more. Le Petit also has a Bakery that offers coffee & European Pastries. Find Le Petit towards the end of the shops & business at the Ventura Harbor. Plenty of free parking in the huge lot. Grab coffee, pastries & bakery items To-Go at the Bakery located at the left side of the restaurant... Wait to be seated if dining in... Cute indoor seating & patio seating overlooking great views of the Harbor. I can't review the actual restaurant yet since I haven't dined in... I did order a couple of baked goods from the Bakery. $15 for 2 Croissants seems a bit lavish. It was definitely a good size & a delicious Almond Croissant... My friend ordered a Cappuccino & some pastries. She didn't like her drink, she said it didn't taste like she expected... I give them a 3 1/2 stars (round up to 4)... I would probably come back for another $7 Twice Baked Almond Croissant. Plus, I couldn't stop eyeing those pastries. Would have to try some next time.

This was a perfect spot for a brunch outing. Great service, great view of the Ventura Harbor, and a lovely fountain at the outside patio. The menu is unique, and has a great variety of options like quiche. The food was fresh and deliciously tasty!

Might be the best Quiche Loraine and au gratin potatoes I've ever had in my life. The flavors melted together in my mouth and my mom agrees. She had the Crab Cake Benedict with the au gratin potatoes and her first words were "oh my god". My mom and I came here after the little ventura street market at the harbor. After about a 15 minute wait, we got seated outside on their patio next to their water fountain. Was served a lemon water and they took our drink order right away. Service speed was average, don't expect a quick meal. Enjoy your food and the beautiful harbor! Will definitely be coming back again!

Love Le Petite. We've been visiting for years. The food is always delicious and the service is top notch. It's my favorite local place. The food is special, made with care. My favorites are the Croque Madame, the fish of the day, mussels, potatoes au gratin, and - the almond croissant (I always get one to go). Brunch outside with fresh harbor air or cozy dinner inside. You can't go wrong.

Absolutely amazing, the eggs Benedict are to die for. Also outside seating has a beautiful view. The employees (both servers and bussers) are warm and friendly.

Service was great and welcoming on a Wednesday morning with our party of 7. Food was okay..... below average? Originally, I ordered the French crepe, but they mistaken my order with a French toast, which I was fine with. The waiter checked the ticket again, and the kitchen mistaken it so then the crepe was on the house since it was originally on the ticket. The French toast was okay... I only ate half. No flavorings of cinnamon anywhere to be found on the croissant. It felt more of an omelette since there's too much egg? As for the whipped cream, wished it wasn't heavy cream in particular. The crepe was slightly better than the French toast. The crepe was very lighter than the French toast, but still felt a little doughy in the center? I suggest baking crepe a little bit longer or pouring the crepe a little bit thinner. Overall, I suggest anything else outside of the crepe and toast perhaps. However, the waiters/servers are the best and accommodating so kudos to them!

Do they have French onion soup?

Are there heaters on the patio?

Once your seat is ready, you order at the counter and you get a number. The staff that took our order was awesome. Friendly, warm, high energy, and efficient. Our order came out in about 10-15 min. Water is self serve. Drip coffee- perfect and high quality. It tasted like Kona coffee! Lavender matcha- great and well balanced Japanese milk bread- this fell a tad short for me. I would've liked both sides to be seasoned/flavored. Japanese Milk bread is typically moist and fluffy , however this was a little dry likely due to the toasting of the bread. The color overall was lighter than expected. It's served with a berry sauce which is really yummy. Side of smashed potatoes- really good. Perfectly seasoned and ketchup tasted homemade Aussie meat pie- soooooo delicious! The crust was awesome and the meat was tender. We also loved the side salad because it had a little zing of lemon. A rare moment where a side salad is actually fantastic! Miso chicken katsu Sando- really loved this! The chicken breast is huge. As other reviews stated, it's not a typical chicken katsu. If you like honey, you'll like this. The honey sauce hits you on the front end and ends with a little acidity from the aioli and slaw. The sandwich was super juicy and flavorful. While large, it didn't feel heavy. Each bite got better and better. Brontë bowl - OUR FAVORITE!!!! Ok first off, I hate mushrooms with a passion, but I kept them in the order because they are curried and I knew theyre an essential part of the dish. They were awesome. I didn't mind them one bit. This dish does not need salmon, and if anything I think adding it would've been too salty. I naturally eat fast but this bowl makes you slow down because of the layers/elements. The sweetness of onions, the creaminess of the feta and avocado, the crunch from the seeds, the delicious pesto, the buttered bread, the perfectly poached eggs - UGH! So perfect! Everything had a purpose. I am obsessed with this bowl. It is so much more filling than you'd think. I could eat this everyday and I hope they never change it. Ambiance was great. We sat at the bar which felt spacious. The inside is gorgeous and just puts you in a good mood. The best thing about this place is the staff. Literally every single person we interacted with was amazing! Everyone here is friendly, warm, and just looks happy to be there. I can't wait to return!!!!!

I've dined here a few times and my favorite sandwich is the Rachel** - packed with sauerkraut (gut-friendly probiotics!) & well-seasoned turkey. So delicious. And it came with a tasty side salad. You can also choose fries as a side or tater tots, for an up charge - both satisfying options, IMO! Dining vibe is low-key and spacious for small groups and the restaurant is kept very clean, with festive touches. I'd recommend going 'old fashioned', skipping the order ahead/apps or delivery and mindfully enjoying a meal to close out 2025 - it's the perfect spot to do it and support small business. Pro-Tip: Don't skip dessert! I've tried the cream horn, but also eyeing both the German Chocolate and Tres Leches cake, which were recommended by some fellow diners on my last visit. **On a throwback note, to me "The Rachel" is a chic & trendy haircut from the 1990s, but here we are in the 2020s, and it's a delicious sandwich - haha!
