I never got a chance to visit them at their last spot but this new spot near the beach and Main Street is an upgrade regardless! This place is pure fun stuff from head to toe, 70s to some current day items. I find myself saying out loud "Omg! I remember this!" several times while shopping here (I mean, the 80s & 90s were the best after all, ammirite?!). Well-organized, vibrant, easy to navigate BIG selection of things from nostalgic toys, games, books, collectibles... you name it....Ghostbusters, Mario, Star Wars, Hot Wheels, My Little Pony, Funko, etc. I'm not well-versed in the super nerdy things but my friend is and he goes nuts in here. The owner is really nice and is very knowledgeable about the products (which are more than reasonably priced). The owner is so knowledgeable in fact, that he takes part in the local Ventura Theater Toy Con twice a year (I believe he's the main guy behind it) which is SO SO much fun and I scored lots of unique things there last year. If you have not been, it is a must and happening this Saturday, June 22nd at 10am! I believe the next one is in November so mark your calendar :) Warning that you will spend time reminiscing in here but it's well worth it. The last time I came a few months back, there seemed to be ongoing reorganization so I wasn't able to see everything they had to offer. While I could see it being a nice place to play for some especially with it boasting many weekly events for a variety of card games (Lorcana, Yu-Gi-Oh, Magic, Pokemon), I felt the sealed and single selections were both pricey and less plentiful compared to what I have seen at other shops. Some services such as the charging station are great to offer especially when games of commander can take up a an hour or more!

These are not toys that children play with for a day and throw away, they are sturdy and keeper toys, I wouldn't be surprised if your children would hand them down to a sibling or a friend when they out grow them!

The sales associate was very friendly and helpful. He even tried on a hat I wanted to buy my husband and was concerned about the size. He let me know they take returns within 30 days with the receipt and original tagging. Fortunately it fit! This amazing shop is on Main Street which is closed to through traffic. I can always appreciate the range from near mint to heavily played singles with fair pricing based on condition as sometimes you just want a card for your personal collection, not to ship to PSA. The brothers that run the shop have always been kind and I've had great offers for cards that I have brought to trade in. In addition to Pokemon, they have sealed Magic, Lorcana, and One Piece products for fair prices too. They have a wider variety of Pokemon singles displayed in binders, but upon my recent visit, I've noticed that they have expanded to One Piece and Disney singles as well. Aside from tcg, they also have older video games and consoles. I always enjoy my visit to Mero when I am in the area and love that hit of nostalgia when I stop by!
