Something is terribly wrong with the staff here. In the last few months, I've been here a number of times. Not once have I been greeted or even spoken to , despite being the only customer. The staff look at me, and literally turn around. They have no problem speaking to other guest who come in after me, as long as they don't look like me. When I check out, instead of a "hello" or "did you find everything you're looking for", I get a "you good?", by the same cashier, every time. While shopping, no one bothers to acknowledge my presence either. I'm only giving a star because it's well stocked, but how could it not be. read more

REVIEW: Part of me wants to wax poetic about the Bath and Body days of yore. However, it's 2024 and it's time to live in the present! So much merchandise. So many things to choose from that I actually am overwhelmed. I came into the store to get stocking stuffers for a secret Santa gift exchange. The mini lotions did the trick. Staff on the floor were hustling and weren't ^overly fakey friendly. That makes a return customer in me. Thanks! Cash wrap line was ridiculous. From their face to wellness line, to sanitizers and kitchen soaps, and everything in between, I enjoy this location to check everything out in person so I can shop online with ease if needed. ***If you place online orders, you must double check your items. The very first time I BOPIS, I realized I was missing a candle. It's been over a month but did not check as I got sick and could not do much during that time. Bath & Body Works is located at The Esplanade Shopping Center in Oxnard, CA. It's next door to a Nail Shop, between Party City & Tillys. There's plenty of parking available. I appreciate that this location expanded & is bigger than it was before. It needed more space to include the White Barn Candle Collection. There are so many different scents now. They also come out with new scents frequently. I usually place an order online & pick up in store. If there's a big sale on certain items, I try to go inside the store & see what's left. I can't help but splurge when the lotions, body sprays, hand soap & hand sanitizers are on sale. Warning: it can be addicting. Especially when there's a sale. Smdh lol. Staff usually greets you when you walk in & offers you a basket. I've had great customer service the last few times I've been here. Staff are knowledgeable & were eager to help me find what I specifically came for. Sometimes they let you know what's new or what's on sale that day. If you have the Bath & Body Works App, you can see what's on sale & even get rewards every time you shop. Which leads to freebies. Love claiming my freebies! I loved waking in today and seeing all the fall/ Halloween stuff. Really creative stuff. I love my home to smell good and it is dangerous for my pocket book every single time I step into this store. I love shopping the products, but once again this specific location is always such a let down. They had an amazing sale on perfume, and when I went to pick it up they were actually sold out. I left and double checked the online store and they still said they had the perfume available to pick up!!!! I sure hope an employee was not saving it for themselves as I did see a box in the under cabinet. I had another item on the order and instead of filling the second item they let me leave to wait to receive the email for pick up. The order ready email was literally sent a minute after leaving the parking lot, how inconsiderate! Seeing as though we just spoke to the cashier who literally had just checked the items in the order, you would have thought she would have just given to us then and there. I understand keeping product availability updated is difficult, but at the very least I wish the girl up front was more willing to help me find a solution. At the bare minimum she could have spared me a trip back and just handed me the other item they did have available. She did not want to honor the sale on the tote back full of items it seemed because the qualifying item I purchased for it was actually unavailable contrary to the website's availability. On top of it all, she was aware today was my birthday and still didn't put any effort to help me out. Very disappointed. Hanny the manager and Brianna the cashier should really try to be more helpful to customers! I know they both had the power to give me the second item the first time I went in, they chose not to. I immediately was greeted upon entering the store. It was very clean and organized. I needed to buy a gift for a friend so I went in for a quick stop. I had purchased a sanitizer pocketback and a holder. I mentioned to the cashier it was a gift and she very generously wrapped it in cellophane with a bow! I'm very annoyed and disappointed with the way me and my daughter was spoken to here today. I came in here with my daughter today and my daughter is autistic so she loves to explore and touch things. I was trying my best to hold her hand and refrain her from touching things but since one hand she was holding her bread she wanted her other hand to put the bread in her mouth so I let go of her hand and turned around for a split second to look at the hand soaps, within that second she saw a small ladder and all she did was bang on the ladder with her hand, and this girl that works there comes over and speaks to me with a high tone and rude voice saying I need to watch my daughter and it's dangerous and for me to keep an eye on her. If she approached me and spoke in a more friendly way then there wouldn't be an issue but the tone she said it really triggered me. Afterwards I just see her staring at me and my daughter at the cash register. It really made me feel so uncomfortable. Being a mother with a child in the spectrum it's hard enough to take her out and this just made the experience worst. Please do better! read more

Came in for candle day and was super surprised by the service, everyone in the store was super helpful and super considerate, even though the store was busy and a lot of consumers were coming in and out. Steve was definitely a stand out, helping us with all the questions we had and trying to find and get the candles we were looking for. I had not been to Bath & Bodyworks since the pandemic happened. Today, I had received a couple coupons in the mail and felt like visiting their store. When I got to this location, I noticed one of their staff members was standing outside with a cart. The bottom of the cart was filled with their store shopping bags and the top had the newest, seasonal fragrances. Before I was able to enter, the woman gave me some hand sanitizer, told me about their new fragrances, and informed me of the new covid safety procedures for their store. As I got inside, the set up of the store was the same. The store was fully stocked with all of their products and very clean. This is my favorite location to shop. Anytime I want to buy some new scented body wash or need a gift for someone, I come to this Bath & Bodyworks. I feel like every time I come in here they have a new fragrance. The staff here is very friendly and helpful. They always go out of their way to help me whenever I need a suggestion or cant find a product. read more

Placed an order for their new Disney collaboration very earlier in the morning for in store pick up, prior to the store even opening, because I wanted to secure the items I wanted, which weren't many just two coin purses, a hand sanitizer, and a perfume mist. As a mom of a newborn, I can't just get up and go when the store opens to get my items, so I rely on in store pick up, so I can pick up my items when I around that part of town. Hours later, I receive an email stating that my items were cancelled because they were now out of stock. How is it my fault that the items I ordered that were in STOCK when are ordered them I cannot receive because they don't have an efficient way of fulfilling online orders? Do better, have people fulfilling orders on a drop you know is going to be big before the store opens. Now the items I wanted that were limited edition are out of stock both in store and online. read more

I came here last week to check out the Halloween stuff, wasn't disappointed. They are social distancing and only allowing a few people in the store at a time. You can't open any of the lotions to smell or test try. Understandable. Covid. My only complaint was the rude employee. She was ringing me up and I brought my coupons out and told me item didn't qualify and rolled her eyes while putting the item behind her. I've been a loyal Bath & Body Works customer for decades and experienced my first issue with a product several weeks ago. Despite your "100% satisfaction guarantee" to be "completely satisfied", the Oxnard, Ca store manager refused to give me credit or replace my obvious defective items (Wallflower plug and Wallflower refill). The refill was brand new, but after three days, I discovered it had oozed from the plug and ended up on my floor in a pile of thick, hot goo, that had to be scraped off my wood floor. Even though I brought in both items to show the defect and damage, the store manager told me neither could be replaced. She explained it was because I had no receipt and the item was "not gently used" (it was plugged into my wall!). I suggest that the huge banner draped across the store wall stating "WE JUST WANT YOU TO LOVE IT! 100% Guaranteed " be removed, as this is not the case. Sooo very disappointed. read more

Back in the day, this was a great store that offered quality service and great products from candles, soaps, and more. However over the years, that quality decreased until now being virtually non existent. Upon my last visit here quite recently, i was harasssed and refused help by the most pretentious and unprofessional staff you could find, i tried to pursue an order i had reserved only to find myself denied and saying i would have to find it somewhere else and said to leave or they would have thrown me out unwillingy, suffice to say i won't be returning to this substandard excuse of a store with rude and ill tempered staff. read more

I'm giving this store a 2 stars because I have come in here several times hoping the service would be better and it seems to be getting worse. There is one sales person in particular named "Brittany ", who is really awful. Every time I have gone in she is either gossiping about other Co-Workers or giving attitude, and rolling her eyes to the customers when they ask her a question. She is not very helpful and you can tell some of the other customers are annoyed by her. I walked in today to purchase some candles. As soon as i walked through the door i was immediately greeted by a sales associate. While her professionalism and greeting were initially welcoming, she literally followed me around the first portion of the store spewing a script asking me several questions. What are you here for? Are you here for the sale? What scents do you like? And i mean she was firing them off one after the other. I told her i am here all the time and am extremely familiar with the products and would not like to hear the rest of her sales pitch. As i was walking away to another section, she continue to follow me and recite her sales pitch. I was in the store for all of 3-5 mins and was too overwhelmed by your pushy sales associate. She was not rude or aggressive, i just think you should allow the customer to shop briefly before bombarding them with a loooooong (and i mean LONG sales pitch). Well I went here because my friend was braving party city on Halloween Day. I went in just to browse, so I just grabbed a small bag, inevitably I purchased much more when I was inside, so I came out with 2 small bags. My friend was still in Party City so as I was waiting I asked the lady outside if I could have a larger bag to place the 2 small bags in and I got, a HEAVY sigh an eye roll and a very Kurt YEAH she grabbed a bagged and in a very frustrated manner flung it at me. I just spent $122 and get treated like that for a PAPER BAG!! Are you KIDDING ME!!! NO thanks! Neat well kept store, I'm always greeted and given healthy space when I need it and catered to when I've asked. I'm surprised to read about Britney, as she's always extremely courteous and knowledgeable. I've seen her help people with their coupons and is always giving customer as myself coupons and discount information as she checks us out. People need to stop expecting to be treated like royalty, I don't give any of these workers a hard time I get what I need and I'm out to the next store. Sadly I went in after work for the Amazing Lotion Sale that was bunk. Three bottles left of some random scent I don't use,but..I could buy and return later for what I wanted and they were out of. That speaks volumes about quality,I like the fact I may be buying some thing that some one else has bought,had sitting their home. May be used or not..and returned for me to buy as brand new!!! I recently stopped into Bath and Body works when I saw that the Plug-ins were on sale for $3.50, that's the best time to stock up and B&B thankfully have regular sales that help the consumers pocket book. This particular store is quite hidden for drivers pulling into the Kirkland side of the parking lot, but never fear, just turn the corner and you'll find it nestled in between Payless and Tilly's. The store was empty when we arrived and the sales clerk greeted us right away, they do get credit for the sales they make so make sure to get the person's name to tell them at the register as this helps them immensely. I found the store clean and stocked well, the two clerks I dealt with were friendly, and didn't hound me to purchase anything extra, but just were all around nice people. This is my go to store, as I much prefer going into this location over the one in the Mall, for me it's easier access to parking, and you don't have to deal with our local Mall chaos. Now if they'd just put the hand soaps on sale, I'll be all stocked up! read more

I came here during the semi annual sale where most items are 50%-75% off. I was told that they replenish products every day of the sale, but when I arrived at the Oxnard location, thinking that it would have plenty of stock, I was wrong. I guess there is heavy foot traffic at the Esplanade because there were little choices to chose from, and it was difficult to find a lotion and body wash pair- meaning a lotion and body wash that were the same flavor. They had boxes of extra supplies beneath those on top of the shelves, and when I went to pull a box to look for more scents, I fell backwards in my suit skirt. Like a clown... it was actually funny. The bottom of the box had been soaked by some lotion. So when I went to lift the box, the products went through the base and spilled everywhere. The employees were super nice and helpful. I, again, wish they had a better stock. The lady at the register asked if I had a coupon and actually helped me save $10 by helping me find one. Made my night! read more

This is by far the cleanest, friendliest, and replenished BBW I have ever visited! As soon as you come in, you are welcomed by one of the staff members. Karlee (I hope the name is correct) was very helpful and knowledgeable on the products. She gave me time to shop around and introduced me to promotions and new scents over the course of my shopping experience without making me feel overwhelmed. What I love about the employees here is that they make sure you are always getting the best possible deal. She asked if I had the app and made sure she scanned it for my points. The only issue I have is with one of the employees who I believe goes by the name of Maria or Mariah. Very rude, and no sense of customer service. The soaps were on sale for $2.95 so customers next to me were opening them to smell them. She says "if you're going to open them, make sure you close them tightly." Well, of course, I understand why she feels the need to say that, but it's all about the tone and how she said it that came across rude. Please learn from the rest of your team and be a little nicer... it goes a long way! read more

Just in time for mother's day, nothing says I love you like smelly soaps and lotions. Like other B&BWs in other malls, this one is no different. It's like an obstacle course to get to the checkout stand in the back. They are very helpful and you should just ask one of the nice girls if you are looking for something instead of wandering aimlessly. They always have buy 3 for $10, 4 for $15 or 30 for $60. It always confuses me cause I don't buy this stuff all the time and I don't know if I'm saving money, but it sure sounds like I am. I love to wash my hands there. Doesn't everyone? Had a bad experience, on Apple Maps it showed that the store closed at 8pm but instead when we arrived they claimed they closed at 7pm. We arrived at 6:55 and took a 5 minute walk from the parking lot to get there. We were informed by Amanda that the store was closed and wouldn't let us in. It didn't bother us because it was after 7pm. But what got me mad was Amanda saying that she denied entrance to other people when we arrived before 7 and there were no other people which meant she was lying. read more
