After looking online and at a couple of local stores we finally found a table and chairs at Patioworld that are perfect for our patio. Clarence was very patient, knowledgeable and helpful as we spent 2 hours deciding. After our furniture was delivered we discovered a scratch on the table and Clarence arranged for a replacement table to be delivered. The delivery team did a great job as well. This beautiful, well made furniture is not Patioworld, it's Pacific Patio. I have a lot to say here. We came to Patioworld Thousand Oaks after a problem with Wayfair. We decided we wanted nice furniture and wanted to get it delivered faster for a party in July. The furniture is beautiful there so that is the only thing that is good to say. Joey helped us, she was a bit spacey and slow but I was just happy to see our furniture before delivery. We chose a couch and umbrella, they did not have any loungers that would match. She said they had the umbrella and we could get it delivered in a week but the couch would take until August. We decided to go with it anyway. She said the warehouse would call with a delivery day for the umbrella. After 10 days I called her, she said she would call them..I did not hear back. Then a week later I called again..this went on for a couple weeks. We had been texting so I decided I wanted all in text. This all started beginning May. Then a month later she texted me and said good news...we would get our couch late June and did I want the umbrella delivered with the couch to avoid double charge. I said yes. End of June I texted her and asked any word on our furniture? No text back, 4 days later I texted again. No word from Joey but she had Penny, the manager call my husband. She left a message and said it said on the paperwork not until August but now maybe October. They had half of the sofa in a different color..no apologies. I was upset that Joey did not get back and she probably hoped I still did not have that text but I did. We decided to go to the store to see what was going on and speak to Penny and show her the text. We also wanted to get our umbrella delivered since they already had it. We had already gotten our loungers from Pacific Patio, Calabasas...Michael helped us, it was great, quick and had them in 1 week. I was shocked at our treatment, Joey was defensive and Penny offered no help, she did not care about the text messages. They did not want to talk about the umbrella at that moment. Both of them said it's not our fault, what are we supposed to do about it?? Penny went and hid at the other end of the store. Then we said we wanted our umbrella delivered now. Joey just looked at us and said they gave ours to someone else. I was infuriated. These woman should not be running or working in this store. We went straight back to Pacific Patio and ordered our new furniture from Michael and just got it today, on time and it is stunning!! They are professional there so I would save the headache of going to this location. I also heard at Pacific Patio that they had 3 customers that day that walked away from Patioworld. My visit to Patioworld was very positive. Although no one was in the store when I arrived, nevertheless, the salesperson (Joey) was working the desk with her mask on. She was very helpful throughout our transaction, combining just the right amount of attention and allowing me time to think privately, all while maintaining desired social distancing. I never felt ignored as she handled other customers easily as they entered the store and my order was prepared promptly. I was able to leave quickly, which is important during these covid-19 days, and she kept me in touch subsequently via email. The store seems to carry a good variety of choices in manufacturers and there are plenty of examples to sit on and feel for yourself. Altogether a positive experience. read more

The company is unable to deliver the purchased products. We have purchased the furniture back in mid-August with the scheduled September delivery. The sales team does not call customers with updates. Talk about bait and switch. We were told we would get a 10% discount on a dining table set. We drove to the store to purchase the table and were told that quoting the discount was a "mistake" and that they could not honor it. We were later told that they would give a 5% discount, but then quoted delivery at double the price of the original quote. We thought we were paying for service and quality - but the service was shady at best. Would not and could not recommend a company that admits to quoting a price but does not honor it. If you are not going to get outstanding service, you are better off buying on line. read more

We purchased 2 chases at the Thousand Oaks Patio World store over 2 weeks ago. These were over $1,500. They delivered the 2 chases that were defective and promised they had 5 in stock and would pull aside 2 that were checked out and perfect. They further said they would put those "perfect chairs" aside. They promised to deliver these new chases yesterday Tuesday August 25th. We are having a family reunion this weekend, so when the didn't arrive I called Dora who said she was the manager. Now after calling their corporate store also, I'm told "that maybe the undefective chairs "MIGHT" be here next week sometime. I then called corporate and was told by "Peter" that they were all out today and "good luck" I've never experienced such terrible customer service since being in business! read more

I called Patioworld Thousand Oaks in the hopes of getting a certain product that I really wanted to order along with making any other purchases in the store. I spoke to a representative named Joey, who told me it was on their show room floor! I drove 2 hours to get to the location, FIRST to find out that the product was incorrect , SECOND the representative JOEY had a hard time communicating with me as if she couldn't hear what I was saying, THIRD she deliberately attempted to argue with me about measurements regarding the item, as if I didn't know what I was talking about. This has been a VERY unpleasant experience along with a major INCONVIENCE FOR ME. This is a bad representation of the company, and I am very disappointed. Yes the furniture is beautiful but the service is AWFUL. We spent over $8,000 and they made two mistakes and made us drive back and forth TWICE - after REFUSING to deliver the correct umbrella stand. We recently redid our entire landscaping, irrigation system and built a pergola and barbecue and added lighting in our backyard. We were finally going to have a lovely outdoor room after many, many years of living in our home. We went shopping at local outdoor furniture, collectible and consignment stores looking for something comfortable. Then we went to Patioworld in Thousand Oaks and met Dori. Dori knows how to do good old fashioned customer service. We brought in our measurements and some photos and knew the kind of material we wanted our furniture made out of. She spent time with us on 2 occasions, giving us as much direct, knowledgeable attention as we needed. I ask a lot of questions and she was patient, giving us a lot of time. She schlepped furniture around, moving it from across the store. She pulled out her tape measure. She talked us through fabric choices. Then she ran some preliminary numbers. The first time we came when the project had just begun in the summer. She knew we weren't ready to buy yet. When we came back in November when the yard was finished, she remembered us and started moving furniture around again so we'd get an idea. I was nervous because we'd be spending a fair amount of money. This wasn't like Zappos and a pair of shoes where I could just return it! We'd picked out a lot of individual pieces and the final figure was more than we wanted to spend, even with some sale discounts. So Dori helped us figure out what we truly needed to start with, saying we could always add more. She explained how we could find some less expensive pieces for the side tables. But since we wanted quality and were going to be spending a lot of time actually sitting under our pergola, we should spend on the comfort of the sofa, recliners and ottomans. Yes, she was thinking of what was best for us. I hope that doesn't get her in trouble with her boss, who should be giving her a raise for her excellent service! We cut back the number of items and when she handed us the invoice she told us to go home and think about it to make sure we were happy. She said this several times, after we told her we were sure and pulled out the credit card. She was willing to let us walk out of the store when she had the deal just about closed. But we were comfortable with our decision because we had all the information we needed to make it. Dori is the kind of sales person you want to clone so you can have this kind of experience whenever you need to buy something that requires research. She knows her stock and her manufacturers. She held our hand to make sure we got what we needed. We could have gone back to the other outdoor furniture. They weren't rude, they just weren't engaged. They didn't spend time with us talking about their stock. They didn't work with us to show us how the 'room' would look. Or work through any numbers for us. So when it was time to buy, I told my husband we were going back to Dori. All in all it was a fun experience and we've been enjoying entertaining, reading, napping and working on our laptops on our very comfortable furniture in our new backyard. read more

If I could give a negative 5 stars I would. We purchased close to $8000 worth of patio furniture. When everything arrived we soon realized the umbrella base did not fit under the table. The delivery person advised we let them take it back and go to the store for a different one. We lugged the kids over to the store 30 mins away and the sales people (including the store manager) were mildly apologetic and even tried to blame my wife by saying she never told him the umbrella was going to be used with the table. We picked out another base and the sales person "assured" me it would fit. Of course, they did not bother to listen to why it did not fit but just said the new one would work. Upon getting home we were beyond upset that the new one also did not fit. I promptly called the store and was told "hmm..that's weird it did not fit". Hey, buddy...I am not lying only to make my life more difficult. The sales person said they had another one in stock that would work. Great I said...so what day will you be delivering that to me. What I heard next was unbelievable...we cannot deliver it to you unless you want to pay an additional $75. Last I checked I am the guy who spent $8000 and you are the ones who screwed up. Needless to say, I drover back to the store to exchange the base. Upon arriving I spoke with the manager to explain my total dissatisfaction along with the poor service. Her answer...an unmoving, unsympathetic, don't bother me "I'm sorry"...period end of conversation. Not an "I am so sorry for our error and your inconvenience or I am sorry for our incompetence how can I make it up to you. Not a "Can I discount the sale for your time and gas money". At this point I offered some advice "If I were you, and a customer spent $8000, I would offer to deliver the item for free or drive it to their house after work. Maybe even a little discount for my wasted time." The answer...a blank stare. Whether you are spending a dollar or thousands of dollars, stay away from this store for their poor service and unwillingness to please a customer. Give your business to another company that will treat you the way a customer should be treated. read more

Had a lot of problems with a Lane Venture Royal Plantation patio furniture set when the finish deteriorated. A replacement set was shipped and arrived damaged with the wrong chairs. There is a lot more to the frustrating story BUT ... Patio World and it's excellent staff stepped up and gave me full store credit !!! I am very happy with the final outcome. As a note ... I would not under any circumstances purchase anything made by Lane Venture again. They don't seem to care about their customers. I do recommend making your purchase at Patio World if you value customer service and product support. read more

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! My husband and I stopped in to buy a patio umbrella on Saturday. The store was half empty - looked like they were going out of business - that should have been our first clue. Three employees were just standing behind the register, so we went up and explained what we wanted (just an umbrella - seems simple). One lady told us to come in the back warehouse with her and look through their inventory(?) We found what we were looking for but the base was clearly marked "Hold for pickup for Mr. S..." when I pointed that out she seemed dumbfounded, then told me I was right, she couldn't sell it to us. At that point we decided to just buy the umbrella anyway and she said she'd show us how to operate it with the floor model. We walked over to the floor model and then she suddenly announced that her favorite customer was in the store so she had to go help her and we'd have to find someone else to ring up our purchase. At this point we just wanted to get out of there with our umbrella when someone else volunteered to ring us up. Well, guess what? She couldn't figure out how to work the register! She kept saying it was charging us more then it should but Geee guess what? We were in luck because the district manager was there and he could ring us up! Well, Mr. D.M. strolled over looked at the screen and said he didn't know what to do and did I want to come around and look at the register screen and see what I thought? Heck no! At this point my husband and I looked at each other and told them we were leaving. Again they asked me to come and look at the screen if I didn't believe them! Excuse me? I'm here to make a purchase and they want me to tell them how to work their register? Unbelievable. We bailed and went to Pacific Patio in Agoura. Wonderful helpful service we ended up buying the umbrella, the stand 2 lounges and 2 additional chairs! No comparison - if you live in Thousand Oaks spend the extra 15 minutes to drive to Pacific Patio! read more

Had a great experience! I have bought my furniture there for a number of years and eveytime have not only been very pleased, but always have had good customer service. The staff are very helpful. They carry a lot of high end brands and the delivery is very quick. My last visit was for a dining set. I found a gorgeous triangle table which was very unique and fit great in my space. The sales gal was very helpful in putting some woven chairs to make the look very stylish and different. Again delivery was very quick! I will go back and do recommend! read more

Terrible experience. I went to the Thousand Oaks location to price $5,000 worth of outdoor furniture. My salesman was a hyper-active, strung-out man named Leonard. He prices out eight pieces for me and gives me a written quote, but mentions that if I wait a week, there likely would be a promotion that includes free sales tax, so I could save $326. So, I wait a week for the sale to start and then drive the hour with my spouse, who sits in the furniture and it gets his approval. We go to pay and magically the furniture is $250 more than what I was quoted. Yes, Leonard says, the sales tax is free, but now he can only give me a 10 percent discount on the furniture, not the 15 percent he put down in the written estimate. I ask "isn't that bait and switch," and I show him the written quote. He said that at the bottom, I should have seen that the quote was good for 24 hours only. However, the wacky Xerox he sent me home with cut off that fine print. No issue, I say, how about if we pay cash and save PatioWorld the credit card charge from the bank. No, he says, the price is the price. We walked out. PatioWorld is fine for people who want to over-pay and buy furniture from a company that would rather see a $5,000 purchase walk out the door than honor a week-old written estimate. read more
