Nicole is amazing. We did a full remodel of the kitchen, stairs, and all the floors. We worked with our interior designer and Nicole to find just the right look. In our situation we had a major slab leak which forced us to renovate the entire downstairs of our home - flooring, cabinetry & More. We worked with Stephanie Maser who is AMAZING! Stephanie put together the design of our kitchen at no cost (this should have costed us $1000's). Also, we had our own interior designers, and it was very clear we did not need them due to Stephanie's knowledge and design abilities. Stephanie used to work at Home Depot for years and was able to share so much context that proved absolutely priceless. My #1 recommendation of any company in Ventura County is ProSource, mostly due to Stephanie Maser's help and the affordable pricing for quality products. Please do yourself a favor and check this place out if you need to buy anything from flooring, to cabinets, to counter tops. They have it all, much cheaper than the rest!!! My husband and I have been working with ProSource of Oxnard since 2008. We were referred by our contractor during a water damage problem in our beach rental. Our contractor referred us here. It was a very stressful time when our beach rental was completely destroyed by water damage from a neighbors faulty water heater. The sales person at ProSource was able to help us and put us at ease at selecting flooring and bathroom tile to be able to rebuild our condo. ProSource is an excellent flooring, tile, & cabinet store that has grown significantly over the past 12 years. It has a wide variety of flooring, tile and now recently cabinet selection to design your home. I have always found their sales staff to be very knowledgeable and very helpful in selecting flooring for both our beach condos and our home. I love that Summer Vaughn has shipped samples to our home of our selections so we can view them in the natural light and setting of our home. It makes designing easier. It's the private VIP touch that makes this store special. Ms. Vaughn is very prompt on returning my calls and answering and questions I have regarding the materials. Ms. Vaughn places the orders quickly so that our contractor is able to start the job. We highly recommend this company and feel very safe when I've gone during the Corona Virus. Everyone was wearing mask and the business has always been kept very clean. During the COVID we bought new vinyl flooring and transformed our exercise room that had carpet into a new fitness/spa room. It turned out beautiful. The rich warm tones of the vinyl and new baseboards make this room look larger, modern, and very beautiful. The flooring looks like hardwood. We had the room repainted by our contractor and added a flush mount chandelier and wireless speakers. The new fitness/spa room looks like we are at a resort while we work out. The store is very large and is set up very nicely to be able to view the variety of flooring and tile samples and beautiful kitchen displays. Nicole made so many mistakes along the way that my husband tried to convince me to go to another floor store. I said "let's just order the wood and then we won't have to deal with her anymore". I couldn't have been more wrong! Starting with: we had $12/sqft allowance from the insurance and yet somehow Nicole showed us flooring that was $6/sqft. So we wasted valuable time looking at several wood samples, lugging samples to/from her store, all to find out she wasn't matching our original wood price. Finally we are shown wood in the correct price point but she didn't have many samples from this certain manufacturer (Lauzon) so she told us to check out the company's website. We were to pick out a few choices of flooring so that she could request to have those samples sent to us to look over. Husband and I go over the 100's of choices online and send her via email the names of our top 10 choices (because she never answered my question about how many I can choose, I assume ten would be a reasonable request.) She takes a few days to respond to tell me that over half of my choices are either not 1.) engineered wood or 2.) not available in herringbone as we requested. So again, a complete waste of my time to whittle down from 100+ choices down to my top 10. Shouldn't she have told me that I had some parameters to stay within when looking on the website? AND: almost every selection that we wanted in herringbone was ACTUALLY available in herringbone. Where is she getting her information? After calling the manufacturer myself (to do HER JOB) they confirm with me that yes, herringbone is available in my choices, and some are available only if I go down or up in size by 1 1/4". Not a big deal for us to do that- but for her to say "not available" is just plain laziness. She flat out says we can't get what we want, yet a simple phone call to Canada proves otherwise? Again, WHY AM I DOING HER JOB? And I have to point out that I'm brand new at all this- I've never ordered flooring in my life, never even heard of herringbone or engineered wood until now, and yet I am able to figure this out? After 2 weeks of back and forth with Canada and with Nicole's confusing misinformation we finally have our ten choices AGAIN and send them to her. After a week or so, she finally tells me that the samples cost a lot of money and she would not be getting us any samples as she told us. Of course I'm furious after all I'm doing with the manufacturer to get correct info. So I go onto Lauzon's website and right there, FRONT AND CENTER, it says I can get 5 free samples for a $2 donation. REALLY? So I spend my own $4 and within days I have ten samples sitting on my door step. Again, doing HER job. So husband and I again spend hours deliberating over which sample we like. I call Nicole right away to say we're ready to place our order, while my husband is telling me to order the wood from someone who actually knows what they are doing. I brush him off and say it can't get any worse, then proceed to get Nicole on the phone. I tell her that there are two rooms we'd like in herringbone but I didn't know how to give her the room size. She says "Oh that's ok. I'll call contractor and get the square footage from him." We complete the order and I think we are completely finished dealing with her. Well she NEVER called my contractor, she never ordered the herringbone, and doesn't place the order correctly. After all that work my husband and I put into choosing our floor! The next phase of this awful situation (happening as I type this) deals with trying to send some of the wood sitting in my house back to Canada to get herringbone, at least for only one room. Yes there will be delays, yes we are frustrated but we decide it'll be worth the wait. I even drove 40 minutes to my house on Thanksgiving day, missed dinner with my family just to look at the label on the box so I could call Lauzon, again to do Nicole's job. Thankfully being Canadian, they were open. I called Canada twice on thanksgiving day and once the next day and had three different agents all confirm they have a limited amount of this particular wood for herringbone in stock- just enough for us to do one room. If we don't purchase what they have in stock, then we'll have to wait 7 weeks to get more made. I tell my contractor to jump on this opportunity and get my herringbone in at least one room. He tells me he's going to handle everything with ProSource moving forward so that I wouldn't have to deal with Nicole. Almost three weeks later, I get another phone call that Lauzon no longer has that herringbone in stock so I have to wait 6-8 weeks to get it. With no one taking responsibility and repeatedly being disappointed, and not getting the floor we wanted, I'm over it. ProSource - you'll NEVER get a referral from us. read more

Prosource salesperson suggested we should order a full box of hardwood floor since we had some concern that the sample we had did not match what the real floor would look like. We paid ~$250 which included $75 shipping charge! We were right, the sample did not match the floor in the box we ordered. It was completely different. The salesperson agreed and said the sample was "old"... However when we asked to get our $250 back or credited toward some tile we also wanted to order for about $1,000 the salesperson refused to credit us the $250. She had mentioned that there might be a 30% restocking fee but she even refused that. Because of this I'm going somewhere else to place my $15,000 flooring order. Never do business here! read more

We have been buying our flooring from ProSource for the past 8 years. We have always been very happy with their selection as well as their guidance in color matching, design and decoration. 2 of the 3 times we have reached out to Prosource was after we had a water leak at the house and several rooms needed to have the flooring replaced and bathrooms renovated. Nicole was our point of contact at Prosource and she has a strong history of Interior decoration and is well versed in the product lines that they carry. This most recent visit I provided her some pictures of what we like, and a list of all the supplies that we need, faucets, toilet, tile, carpet, bathtub, cabinet, etc... Nicole sent me an email with a comprehensive list containing pictures and pricing for the options of the products. The design of them were just a bit different, but I liked them all. The big difference was a variation on pricing to help us pick and choose which would best fit our budget and priority. Buyer beware - they say its part of the normal manufacturer process of a natural product. Installer recommended by them didn't bother to eliminate the most offensive pieces.
