I am so frustrated with Best Buy right now. We bought a refrigerator 3 weeks ago. We have had 4 delivery attempts and not one was successful. First, they brought the wrong refrigerator. 2nd time: Right refrigerator but damaged. 3rd time: right refrigerator but still damaged. 4th time: Right refrigerator but guys said they couldn't bring it upstairs. I said the other 3 times people came they all saw where it was going to go as our home is designed with the kitchen on the second floor. Not sure if I want a 5th try. The incompetence is breathtaking. Every time they say you have to prepare so I have to empty the refrigerator and move furniture, etc. How they deal with such incompetent delivery people, I don't know. read more

Ask for Jonny and you'll get the best customer service from an appliance company EVER! I walked in knowing the models and discounted prices that I wanted. It's really nice knowing that you can get either the Best Buy discount and/or Pacific Sales discount. Plus, you can't beat their 10 year service plans. Compared to Best Buy, there's no question which one logical people would choose. I had issues with delivery out to Temecula, but Jonny was there each step of the way to get everything to work out. I bought a Frigidaire all-fridge and LG steam washer & dryer. The fridge was the easy one. But with the small space in my home's laundry closet, had multiple issues installing the LG. After two plumbers and alterations to the gas line and the water lines, the LG is ready and running. If you want personalized care even when you least expect it, then ask for Jonny (manager). Otherwise, I'm pretty sure the delivery division would've talked me out of LG steam and into a different model. Just remember, appliances go in your home. And if you're a true homeowner, then you want it to last throughout the years. Get what you want! read more

Went here to buy our refrigerator, microwave, oven and dishwasher for the new house because they were great to deal with and Lowes & Home Depot both disappointed us. They have a great selection and better service than the competition. The sales promotions and 0% Best Buy financing make it the best place to buy. We also looked at Costco but the deal at Pacific Sales was better for the appliances we bought. It's never fun buying big appliances, so this is the best place we found to make it as painless as possible. Delivery went well, too. read more

I was orignally planning a Five Star review BECAUSE of the problems I had and how well Ryan, Corey and Carla helped to make it right. That was all until Eric Garcia got involved. Let me tell you the story. We purchased a Fisher Paykel drawer dishwasher from Pacific Sales (located in Best Buy) in Oxnard. This is a real splurge. It works great, but is expensive. It's actually two dishwashers. It was ordered on July 7 and set to be delivered on July 10. Delivery happens and Corey (installer) realizes that unit doesn't drain or some sort of issue like that. He lets the company know and I deal with Ryan and others to take care of an attempt to repair the new unit (which needed to do to get a replacement). There was a failed delivery attempt because of parking (Corey was a champ!) and finally, on July 23, I get me dishwasher! So you think I would be thrilled? I was until I realized that we were missing the little tray that a detergent pod uses. It's a small, but necessaery part. I called the store and spoke with Carla. She was very helpful in trying to figure out what we needed. Then she called back and transfered us to Eric. He know nothing! I tried to explain that the plastic trays usually come in the plastic bag that contains coupons and samples. He's fighting with me telling me that I have the parts. Huh? I'm wanting extra detergent coupons (that I can get online) so I'm lying? I finally pass him off to my husband, who as a litigator, is used to fighting with jerks that don't know what they're talking about. Eric sends us page 2 of the installation guide and tells us that there is no tray. Hubby sends page 2 of user manual showing that there is a tray. A couple of hours go by and Eric calls. Guess what? They found the little plastic bag in the back of their store. We quickly went by to get it. All of the actual problems caused by the broken, new dishwasher, were handled beautifully by the staff at Pacific Sales. It was only when Eric got involved and basically called me a liar that things took a terrible turn. Luckily, I'm not in need of appliances, because if Eric is working there, I'll be shopping elsewhere. I have never been treated with such disrespect by someone who was actually proven wrong. I didn't speak with him when he called back to say he found the parts. I saw it was Eric and gave the phone to my husband. Went in the store and bought my Bosch dishwasher...when it didn't show up when promised I called the store several times and never spoke to my salesperson...never got an email response from her either..finally called customer service at corporate and found out that my order would arrive two days after initially promised...got a call when it arrived from the corp customer service guy like he promised...never got a call from anyone at the store...after having to cancel my installer when it failed to show the first time I hesitated to schedule another appointment...When I showed up the Manager Jonny made it right...but i can tell you i more than likely wont be back... In early June, 2013, I ordered and paid for a Thermador Built-In Refrigerator. I explained we were doing a total remodel of our kitchen & I wouldn't need the frig until October. All OK. During the course of the next 6 months, I went to the store on at least 5 different occasions & had 3 calls from Pacific Sales, all about the refrigerator and the status of the remodel.. Per their instructions, I contacted them 2 weeks prior to the requested delivery date & the delivery was scheduled. Two days prior to the scheduled delivery, I got a call from Pacific Sales saying that they didn't have the refrigerator. No explanation as to why not. And that they would "try" to get the refrigerator within the next couple of weeks. We are now 2 weeks away from Thanksgiving, have a lot of family coming in, and still don't have the refrigerator. The communication is that they "hope" to have it in their warehouse on Wednesday. No word of when they "hope" to deliver it. Do you think they might offer to do a special delivery?! At this point, nope. Poor customer service, I'd say. Also failure to complete the contract! I am, at this point a VERY unhappy & dissatisfied customer! read more

Wanted to share our experience with Ryan McElroy with Pacific Sales inside Best Buy Oxnard store. After several repairs we reluctantly replaced our 18 year old Maytag Speed Queen washer/ dryer set with brand new top of the line Maytags. It wasn't long before we noticed the clothes were coming out of the washer dirtier than when they went in. Dark clothes especially showed hair, debris and left white soap marks regardless of the fact we were barely using any soap at all. They also came out with a musty smell instead of clean and fresh. We used every setting we could to get more water into the machine and used so little soap it was almost nothing at all. So we worked with Maytag Customer Support for a few months only wanting a washing machine that actually washed clothes where they would come out clean and fresh like our old Maytags. The issue is the new HE washing machines use very little water and very little HE detergent. Maytag reps had us try every setting in the book and less and less soap (including pods) to eliminate soap residue on the clothing. It took 2 to 3 washings for clothes to come out somewhat cleaner and we were using more time and electricity than our old machines so the frustration was building. They sent out techs on a couple of occasions but they barely looked at the machine and instead told us this is the "new normal", that we should get used to it and that all brands world-wide are manufactured essentially the same as our new Maytag washer. Maytag rep said since there was nothing "technically wrong" with the machines and there were no malfunctioning or defective parts to replace they said they had exhausted everything I could try and said they could do nothing more for me. We were very upset so I paid a visit to Ryan McElroy who asked why we didn't come in sooner and promptly replaced the Maytag with and a comparatively priced LG that he promised we would be happy and satisfied with. Although slightly skeptical because of several months of dealing with Maytag we proceeded and Ryan was absolutely correct. The new LG machine is fantastic! Finally! Fresh, clean, clean-smelling clothes and problem resolved! Unfortunately for Maytag they have lost a lifetime customer and LG has gained a new one. But the real point of this (long-winded, sorry!) review is that Ryan really took a genuine, honest concern for us as customers and made it clear he only wanted us to be happy and satisfied. Now how often do you find a salesperson in the world like this?! So the upshot is that Ryan went above and beyond, standing behind the product Pacific Sales/ Best Buy sells even though the manufacturer did not. So go see Ryan McElroy in the Pacific Sales area inside Best Buy in Oxnard. He will make sure you remain a happy, satisfied and loyal customer. Best Buy-Pacific Sales Needed to buy a new refrigerator did my research on PC and went to Lowes. They did not have any product advisors assigned to their appliance department so I left. Next stop Best Buy/Pacific Sales, was only in appliance department about 5 minutes when Anthony Vaccaro came over and asked if he could assist me. I had a list of questions which he answered quickly and we started to look at several models and discussed pros and cons of each model. Anthony used his smart phone to check information on specs and other questions I had. I picked the model I wanted and we quickly did the paper work. Anthony was very knowledgeable in product information and seemed truly concerned I picked the model that would satisfy my needs. It's been years since I dealt with a product advisor that was so knowledgeable and easy to work with. Unit was delivered on time and unfortunately there were some factory defects that showed up as I began to test the control panel and other features. Next day I emailed Anthony a list of problems with the unit and asked if they could be fixed. Anthony and the manager reviewed my list and decided on their own it would be better to replace my unit, this all took place in less than an hour. This company has proven they are truly interested in customer satisfaction. Needless to say, my future appliance needs will be purchased at Best Buy/Pacific Sales a company that has gained my trust. AWFUL delivery and installation process and terrible store manager - Go elsewhere to buy your appliances. The sales guy was nice enough to us as he was trying to get the sale. We are currently at 4 weeks of trying to get our new washer and dryer delivered and installed. Delivery Attempt #1 - dryer defective. Fair enough, things happen. Delivery Attempt #2 - could not install because we didn't have the right drain pan (had asked about drain pan before buying and we were given the wrong information about it). Husband went to Best Buy and spoke to manager D.L. Was told that he would look into a plumber to help us out with said drain pain - NEVER received a phone call back. I called to complain to the manager and was either disconnected or hung up on - NO attempt to call back at all. Delivery Attempt #3: Need a different gas valve. Also asked about this before as well and was told the delivery people would have everything needed. The salesperson Elmer said that the delivery and installation people could move our old washer/dryer downstairs for us, but not the case. Buyer beware - don't be naive like we were, the sales people are just trying to make a sale. The manager doesn't do anything. After all of this - we still don't have the washer/dryer installed. We have now changed our schedules THREE times to accommodate for these delivery/installation attempts and don't get me started on the inconvenience of not being able to do laundry. HORRIBLE customer service - given the run around by everyone here. Take your money elsewhere. read more

My experience with the Pacific sales inside the Best Buy store in Oxnard was the worst ever by far. Pacific Sales and Best Buy have a price guarantee policy which pacific sales would not honor completely. The salesman whom I dealt with was John (JD). JD tried every possible excuse in order to get out of honoring the price guarantee, as well as BAD MOUTHING his competition, Warehouse Discount Center, where he mentioned that he was employed by before . Every reason he gave for not honoring the price guarantee I disputed by showing him the price guarantee policy which I had a copy in hand. I have been going through a whole kitchen remodel and purchased all my kitchen appliances through Pacific sales Best Buy oxnard and have to say that I would only purchase again of I dealt with Damian. He was on vacation a few days and dealt with 2 other sales reps to coordinate instalation and neither one followed up pr sounded confident when i asked questions about my instalation, turns out my delivery was scheduled but no instalation. Thank goodness Damian was back in time for my instalation. I spoke with him told him what I needed he made a few calls and 10 minutes later I got a follow up call with all the installation information i requested. I meticulously shop around, compare prices and read reviews before taking the plunge with kitchen and washroom appliances considering the prices for these appliances and all I can say is that Pacific Sales & Kitchen in Best Buy Oxnard is now my go to place for everything and have recommended and will continue to recommend to friends, families and everybody else. This is now my 2nd trip which got me a double wall oven, cook top and microwave to complete my kitchen. It's true what they say, Ryan - the sales manager is the most knowledgeable appliance person I have ever met. Very patient and kind and will try to work with you to get you the best deal with the best appliances out there. From specs to installation info as well as advise for possible installation trouble to save you money. I got the french door fridge and the dishwasher last Nov. and the overall experience was so smooth and impressive with Ryan and Eric that I told them I'd come back to complete the other appliances I needed for my kitchen and so I did. Wow. Just spoke to a female rep on the phone to look up a part I previously purchased. With an attitude, she stated, "Um, you need to call Thousand Oaks. We have NEVER sold shower heads here." I asked her if she could look up my file and acting irritated, she replied, "You'll have to give me like, 10 minutes." When she pulled up my file, there were so many different orders (because I'm a good customer) and she refused to click on the individual orders to help me out. What a horrible experience I had with Pacific Sales at the Best Buy in Oxnard. I received the $1600 washer/dryer on Saturday but the dryer came beat up like the warehouse had been throwing it around all morning. When contacting customer service I got authorization to leave the beat up one until the new one arrived as I was promised these appliances for Saturday. I contacted the store and the guy who sold it to me (Eric) and the Manager (cannot recall his name) told me that I either deal with not being with a dryer until I get a new one or if I sign for it the dryer is mine. Additionally, they were pushing me to take $100 and keep the beat up dryer even though I told them I don't want a $100 gift certificate, I want a dryer that looks brand new. They yelled over me, didn't let me get a word in, were rude and condescending. The delivery guys were amazing and as they already had authorization they installed it for me and were ready to leave. The manager at the store continued to yell at me, had zero customer service and finally the delivery guy contacted the warehouse and set up the exchange without the store being involved. Be aware that when they sell you the insurance they will tell you that if something is wrong with your appliance and they cannot repair immediately that they will provide you with a loaner. Apparently I was told on the phone that I must have imagined the salesguy saying that and no loaners are EVER given. Based on other reviews here looks like this is not the first issue they have had. I am supposed to get the new dryer tomorrow and we'll see how that goes. read more

Wish I could give no stars. Went in to purchase a refrigerator, range, microwave, washer & dryer...big ticket items. I was helped by a very bad salesman named Anthony, who I found to be deceitful and dishonest as they come. I did some research beforehand and had my printouts with me regarding the products I was interested in, yet Anthony disputed product ratings and customer reviews. He kept trying to upsell additional accessories that were not needed, plus he then said delivery was free but wanted to charge $179.00 for delivery. He kept changing his story and clearly was only trying to make more commission. I felt extremely dirty when dealing with him. He was totally dishonest so buyer beware. I ended up cancelling my purchase due to his dishonesty. I understand the guy has to make commission but at least know your product and quit changing your story. I cannot recommend Pacific Sales or Anthony...run as fast as you can away from this place and him! read more

I received the phone call one day prior to delivery (today) advising they would deliver washer/dryer within 1-5pm window; so I arranged to have my daughter ready for delivery. 7:30 pm and no call, no show. I decided to call Pacific Sales and was advised that the delivery was never received from store so they would not be able to deliver. Worst delivery process we have ever dealt with! We bought a broken WhirlPool dishwasher from Best Buy and have now spent 2 Saturday's waiting at home for correct Delivery and instillation. We just experienced the second error in the same day! The second arrangement today was done by a supervisor and still is incorrect! This company is beyond disorganized. Shame on Whirlpool and Best Buy for contracting with a company that can't arrange a delivery and instillation after 3 consecutive try's. My husband and I ventured to Pacific Sales for our washer, dryer, and fridge, and couldn't have been more impressed with the customer service. Jonny was the name of the employee helping us and he was super knowledgeable on everything and was able to answer all of our questions. He didn't try and just shove the most expensive model our way, but explained the pros and cons of each, as well as how reliable they were, the different warranty options, etc. They were also the best priced (We looked at warehouse discount center and other places- all more expensive) All in all this was a great experience, we're very pleased with our purchases, and it took the stress out of shopping for appliances. No message, no call back info, nothing. I called the number and jumped through a bunch of hoops to speak to someone. First - Called back the number I missed and that put me in touch with a Best Buy rep. They said they are co-located with Pacific Sales and I actually needed to talk to Pacific Sales, not Best Buy. Sure, fine, okay. Makes sense. They transfer me. Next - I'm speaking to the Pacific Sales person who eventually tells me they're the delivery service and I would need to speak to their service department. She transfers me to a number that's no longer in service. Next - I (finally) get in touch with the service department and things start to sound promising. She says she can have a tech out to see the washer but in order to do so, they need to transfer me to their scheduling department to set it up. Next - Scheduling department says there are no techs in MY area and my only option is to speak to Samsung directly and try to use the manufacturing warranty that the washer comes with THROUGH Samsung. What about the EXTENDED warranty I bought at the store. I want a refund. I seriously want a refund. I FINALLY kind of get in touch with someone named "Sarah" who has been actively trying to get ahold of me. (I never got a chance to actually speak to her because of the time zone differences) I left my and my wife's contact information and she spoke to my wife and tried to reach me. She's apparently some 'case manager' for these types of situations. She works out in their corporate office in Michigan? I believe. Sounds legit. Sounds like something is gonna get done. Finally someone 'up the food chain' is involved. We keep missing each other, so she leaves me a voice mail..."We're sorry this happened to you....blah blah blah...nothing we can do, we didn't install it...we don't have techs in your area" WAIT? You don't have techs in my area? What does that mean? Do you only send techs out in certain areas? What do the 'other areas' do? What a load. Apparently Sarah's entire job is to call people and apologize, but not actually fix the problem. It's amazing they have jobs specifically for this reason, but NO TECHS IN MY AREA. And even if they DID have people come out, it would be a liability issue BECAUSE THEY DID NOT INSTALL IT. Their words. So we've come full circle. Apparently, if you plug in a power cord and screw on a water hose, you've pretty much voided the warranty according to Pacific Sales. How is your company in business? Seriously, how? I told you guys I would tip a delivery guy $20 or $40 if he swung by over his lunch break to tell me why it's making noise. Are THEY not in the area either? Why do you sell washers and dryers in Oxnard if you don't have people who service the area? Good one, guys. I mean, you really outdid yourselves on this one. You had me going pretty good. I actually thought there was a real person that reached out to try to resolve this issue. You must have some kind of Pacific Sales troll that just spams these terrible reviews so act like you give a rat's ass about serving your customer. I wonder if "Joel L." is a real person or just some account that's shared by 5 people who skim through here periodically. The email didn't work, Joel, what's next? Sarah didn't work either, Joel. Got any more suggestions?.... WHY DID YOU TRY TO CALL ME IF YOU'RE NOT GOING TO FIX IT??? WHAT WAS THE POINT OF THE CALL??? Sarah wants me to call Samsung and pursue a manufacturer warranty call. I swear, if they tell me it's an install issue and they're not liable, I'm taking this stuff back. I'm gonna load all this stuff up on a truck and drop it off at your store then ask for my money back. Test me. See what I do. I will be sure to tell everyone I EVER meet to avoid your company at all costs. Any time I find myself in a Best Buy, I will take 5 minutes out of my day and talk to every customer in the Pacific Sales area and tell them how terrible you all are. I have the time. I sincerely hope you go under or are bought out by a competent organization. That reminds me, now I'm going to trash Best Buy's Yelp page for allowing you all to set up shop in their store. My boyfriend and I purchased a stove range on Black Friday from Best Buy with Pacific Sales. NEVER AGAIN!!! If I could give no stars I would!! My issues are with the delivery process!! My boyfriend called them during their 7-9 am window to modify delivery times to make sure that there would be a call prior to delivery so that I could be there bc I have a 6 week old newborn and I can't just up and go. I don't live in the home that the delivery was going to. So, at 11:38 I get a call from the delivery man and he says he is outside and I explain that I was suppose to get a call and his says he is going to call the dispatcher. I told him I could be there in 20-30 minutes. The dispatcher calls me at 11:45 to inform me that they are outside and I tell her that I was suppose to get a call and can't be there for 20-30 minutes due to the baby. She says that the driver says he called me 30 minutes ago!!! LIES!! I let her know that he called me right before he called her!! She puts me on hold to talk to him and comes back and says he said you can't be there for an hour!! ANOTHER LIE!! I said 20-30 minutes!!! She tells him that I can be there in 30 minutes and at this point I wanted nothing to do suggest this delivery!! I go to the house and get there 10 minutes before the delivery truck. I hear them pulling up so I look out the window and the driver is smoking a cigarette as he is opening the back of the truck and goes inside to grab my box!!! Really cigarettes around customers merchandise!! I open the door as he is bringing the box out, he sees me and he gets rid of the cigarette. Brings the box in the house and I ask him about him saying that I got the courtesy call and he says that "he" (I guess whoever was with him) called and no answer and I said no you didn't call. THEN he says it wasn't written down to call so he didn't know!!!!! REALLY!! SO DID YOU CALL OR NOT!! THE LIESE!!! I say whatever and he leaves!!! LEAVES THE KITCHEN SMELLING LIKE A CIGARETTE!!! I'm sitting her with my newborn!' I had to leave the door open for another 15 minutes to sit it out!! So unprofessional!!! We haven't opened the range yet but if it smells like a cigarette when we do then I will demand a complete refund!!! I don't not recommend delivery. I would have rather just picked it up of this is how they teach their deliver men to behave. Lie on the customers and smoke on the job while leaving their homes smelling like smoke!!! I went in late the day after Memorial Day weekend to buy a washer and dryer. I didn't think it would be busy but it was!! I needed to wait a little but it gave me a chance to research what they had in stock :-) Damian helped me with the sale and he was great in every respect! The delivery came as promised (good sign!) However my new dryer started making a grinding noise only 6 weeks after I purchased it. UGH!!! The beginning of a nightmare with LG!!! I won't go into all the details because my experience was unbelievably bad with LG and I want to forget it!!! After 2 attempts at repair (wasting my time of course) LG wanted to make another attempt by replacing the dryer SHELL....SAY WHAT???!! They wouldn't budge in admitting I had a lemon and the right thing to do would be to replace it. My last attempt at getting this resolved was to call Pacific Sales where I purchased it. WOW!! What a great, quick, polite resolution from Ryan McElroy!! Immediately he authorized a replacement and it was delivered in a couple days!! That's GREAT Customer Service!!! LOVE IT!! HATE LG Customer Service!! I thought they were supposed to be good??? Anyway, I won't hesitate to buy our appliances from Pacific Sales since I know they will back up the product they sell :-) read more

I too was surprised to see anything less than a 5 star review of this place. My understanding is that any negative review was probably a result of old management. This is only the second review that I've ever left on Yelp and I took the time to do so because of the incredible experience and I hope that this review is helpful to someone like me. My wife and I were in the market to outfit our dream kitchen with all new professional grade appliances. We started doing our due diligence with regard to brands, models, etc. but we headed into the actual process of buying from a retailer completely blind. We visited various big name appliance stores and discount centers but never left feeling satisfied with our experience. Whether it was a lack of familiarity with the product or the overzealous sales pressure, we were never comfortable with anyone or any place. A colleague of mind told me about a great buying experience that he had with Pacific Sales in Oxnard and in specific, Ryan McElroy. I contacted Ryan, and after spending some time with me on the phone, there was no doubt in my mind that I had found my store but more specifically, my salesman. Ryan's product knowledge, professionalism, demeanor, and overall disposition was incredible. Being a small business owner, I recognize great customer service when I see it and believe me, Ryan far supersedes even what I would consider "great" customer service. What amazed me most was his product knowledge. Things that were never shared with me about a particular stove or refrigerator by any other retailer were brought to my attention by Ryan - things that would have been nice to know from the beginning. Things that I now question if the other salesman at the big discount centers were even aware of. Ryan's easy going, no pressure disposition, combined with the above mentioned product knowledge and overall genuine kindness made this buying experience a sincere pleasure. I cannot give Ryan or Pacific Sales in Oxnard a more positive mark and needless to say, I highly recommend them to anybody in search of a place to purchase their home appliances. Moreover, Pacific Sales pricing was better than any other retailer that we had priced with. Having said that, I would not have hesitated to purchase from them even if they were a few bucks more.
