Stopped at Lowe's but was sent here as what I needed would take over a week to get delivered. At Ferguson ... staff isn't the friendliest . Many walked past me without even asking if I needed assistance as I walked up and down the valve aisle like a dummy. Anyway I couldn't find what I needed and was helped by one of the workers once I walked up to the register. Not sure I'd stop by again. 3.5/ 4 because it's a plumbing store .. not supposed to be the cheeriest of places but I do expect a certain level of customer service.

I called my Builders First Source sales rep Mike and told him and he didn't ask any questions or offer to review anything with me or explain anything--he just said, "bummer, hopefully you can find a guy to fix the doors around so they hang the way you want them to." I don't want to drill out my expensive new doors, I want nice new doors as specified on our plans. This is the reason I sent our building plans via email to Mike and reviewed everything with him. I'm not a building professional, and there is a lot of trust ordering $20,000 worth of windows and doors, and I had hoped Mike would be able to read plans correctly and I trusted him to order the correct doors as specified on my plans. Apparently it is not possible for Mike to read plans and order correct doors--something that I wish I would have known BEFORE I paid for the wrong doors. So far I am very disappointed and would 100% recommend homeowners AVOID Builders First Source as they seem to be geared more toward building professionals. I am currently trying to resolve this issue and was told this morning that a manager would call me. I will update this review if I hear back from someone.

I tried all the big name stores thinking I would be able to have a new refrigerator in time. Because I needed a black refrigerator to match the other appliances in our home, the eariliest they could have a new appliance was too late by 2 weeks. So, I checked appliance stores near me and that is when I discovered Reid's. It was 4th of July weekend, so first thing Monday, I reached out and spoke with Maria. Maira was fantastic and a great help! They did not have a black refrigerator, however, they did have a dark green that I could make work. So I bought the refrigerator and It was delivered Friday. Unfortunatley the refrigerator did not work properly and never cooled down and the freezer never produced any ice. So, Saturday I contacted Reid's and spoke with Omar the manager form Santa Barbara store. Omar and Maria worked with the owner and together they all came up with the PERFECT solution. They offered to come back out to pick up the refrigerator and deliver a loaner refrigerator. On my drive to the store, Maria called and told my husband they had a black refrigerator come in and they could deliver it that day. When I got to the store, Maria showed me several options that could be delivered that same day. I chose the black refrigerator, and Alex delivered it the same day and it's working perfectly! For inconvenience, the owner was very generous and we appreciate him very much! We could not be any more pleased ! If I could have given them 10 stars I would have! Thank you so mucy Reid's team! I will be recommending you to everyone I know in the area!!!

After delivering the appliance this driver moved his truck onto our street and sat there idling his diesel truck for over 15 minutes. We have people at this address with two forms of cancer and other health issues. Their diesel truck fumes engulfed our entire house even with the windows closed. We called and talked with the manager of the store. This manager stated that their truck was unable to move without idling for 20 minutes per California rules, which is an obvious lie because he moved over 30 feet then stopped out front of our house. There was no apology offered by this manager. What we find typical of Ventura businesses these days is they do not care anything the community they serve. There is no empathy, no caring about people these days. This is what we found from our local Reids some years ago and their attitude has degenerated to being a store we will never purchase items from, ever. Back then, they never serviced our appliances properly, heaven knows what they do these days. We shop at Lowe's-Ventura these days because they back their appliances with knowledgeable service warranties and customer service.

The incompetence is breathtaking. Every time they say you have to prepare so I have to empty the refrigerator and move furniture, etc. How they deal with such incompetent delivery people, I don't know.

It's really nice knowing that you can get either the Best Buy discount and/or Pacific Sales discount. Plus, you can't beat their 10 year service plans. Compared to Best Buy, there's no question which one logical people would choose. I had issues with delivery out to Temecula, but Jonny was there each step of the way to get everything to work out. I bought a Frigidaire all-fridge and LG steam washer & dryer. The fridge was the easy one. But with the small space in my home's laundry closet, had multiple issues installing the LG. After two plumbers and alterations to the gas line and the water lines, the LG is ready and running. If you want personalized care even when you least expect it, then ask for Jonny (manager). Otherwise, I'm pretty sure the delivery division would've talked me out of LG steam and into a different model. Just remember, appliances go in your home. And if you're a true homeowner, then you want it to last throughout the years. Get what you want!
