DO NOT PURCHASE GENERATOR FROM LOWES. Two day return policy even if doesn't work. I purchased generator on a Wednesday, used it on Saturday and it didn't work. I brought it back following Monday and got stuck with generator that doesn't work. Spent over $1,100 and I'm stuck with it. I will reach out to manufacturer for assistance. Unfortunately what Lowes doesn't understand is that policies like this cause customers to NEVER EVER shop at their stores again. I have been to Lowe's twice now in the last 2 months. I used to drive to Oxnard for Hone Depot because it was what I was once familiar with but now it's just too far for me and with gas prices now, it makes more economical sense to go to Lowe's since it's much closer to where I live. I was pleasantly surprised they sell Carhartt items. I was able to find the majority of cleaning products I needed but they did not carry plain ammonia; which was a little disappointing. I had to stop at Smart and Final for that. read more

I always like Lowes. It always feels clean and bright. The employees around the entire store always stopping to ask if we need help finding anything. They also seem to have a good variety of products on display which make it easier to see all the options. Big plus that they are pet friendly and allow us to walk our dogs around the store! read more

Yeah, here's another review I resisted updating because my original was just about perfect. And as anyone with a lick of sense knows, if it ain't broke, don't fix it. But the customer service I received today was so excellent I knew I had to share the experience on Yelp. I buy Salt Pellets for my Water Softener here. They come in 40 pound bags. I like buying them here at Lowe's because the price is low (last time I checked, it was lower than Costco's price) and they will help you load it into your car if you pull up to the Exit doors. The only hang up is sometimes it takes a couple minutes for someone to arrive after they call for help. Sometimes it takes a lot longer than a couple minutes because they get hella busy. Sometimes they have to call repeatedly before anyone shows up. So today, this happened. I ask for help loading six bags into my car. Instead of calling someone and making me wait, the Clerk on duty in the Self Checkout area did it herself. Granted, it wasn't super busy at the time, but there were other customers. She finished helping the customer before me, then darted over to the Salt and quickly loaded 240 lbs onto my cart. Then she turned and answered a question for someone at the register, pivoted back to my cart, followed it out the door and expertly loaded all six bags into my trunk. It was super impressive. She didn't just toss the bags in like they do most of the time. She took the time to place them in carefully, like she was putting them in her own trunk. I thought I had cleared enough room for them to all fit, but I didn't quite. No big deal. When she saw there wasn't enough room she carefully moved the items in her way and finished the job. I told her I was really impressed with her Customer Service skills and she thanked me. I told her I was so pleased I was going home and writing a Yelp review about how excellent she was . I asked her what her name was. Claudia, she replied. Claudia G So there you go, Lowe's. When it's time to pick Employee of the Month, I think you should give it to Claudia G. I've been a customer since the store opened and this is the best Customer Service I've ever experienced at Lowe's. And that's saying a lot, because y'all have really good customer service every day. This store is in need of help. I ordered a set of closet doors 4 weeks ago, I received the doors but there was a set of rollers missing. After several phone calls including many call backs because no one ever picks up the phone when transferred the roller was ordered. Three week wait time, with a delivery date of 9/2/25. Date comes no part, I call and I'm told we will call the vendor and call you back. No call back. I call the next day, same thing. I call again now I'm transferred to another department no answer. Lowe's is extremely SKETCHY!!! I left a Google review (1 star) regarding putting the beneficial bugs in the sun. I contacted an employee with a red vest (young kid) and he said he couldn't do anything about it, I had to talk to someone with a BLUE vest. Found another kid wearing a blue vest and expressed my concern and he said he couldn't do anything about it, that's where "they" wanted it!!! ZERO customer service from both the red and the blue vested employees (not sure what the color of vest means). LOWES responded to my Google review profusely apologizing, telling me they have ESCALATED this situation INTERNALLY and they wanted to warn my trust back. The worst customer service. They answer the phone and when they answer the employees are rude. They Make mistakes on orders placed in store. Can never find anyone to help or ask questions. Worst customer service I've ever dealt with concerning a simple delivery question. The website clearly says: FREE standard shipping applies to: * Orders totaling $45 or more before taxes, fees or shipping charges * Orders with items weighing less than 150 pounds (or 70 pounds for PO boxes and APO/FPO addresses) that meet standard weight or cube requirements * Orders shipping to a single address So I order something within this criteria, and they try to charge me $79 delivery. They have a good selection of products, different brands than Home Depot. For example, they didn't have the same wood stain or paint color brands. Prices were roughly about the same as Home Depot. I also didn't know they had water service for 5 gallons here which was interesting. You exchange your 5 gallon bottles for $7.99. read more

I purchased a garage door opener mechanism with installation last week. It arrived timely and I called to schedule the install. Lowe's contracts out this service and i was told that I would be contacted within two business days to schedule install. So far, no call so I called Lowe's. After 3 attempts to get install scheduled I am told that the installers are booked up and I need to check on Monday to see if they have any openings. I would say Lowe's needs a backup contractor and should be taking care of these prepaid installations more timely l, or discontinue offering the service. We shall see on Monday whether I have a better review so far. read more

Do NOT use for appliances First of all the company they use to deliver the appliance to you is a mess. They ask you for a time-slot you would like. We said 8am-12pm. We get a text notification the day before saying our time-slot is 1pm-5pm. Annoying for anyone who has a job and planned for the time-slot asked for right?? Doesn't end there... they wind up not even getting to the house until 7pm. Apparently they can deliver as late as 8pm. Who has all day to wait around for them to maybe deliver your appliance at god knows what time? We winded up not even getting all of the items we ordered because the cashier marked one of the applianced as a "carried out" item, meaning we left the store with it when we purchased everything... its not even sold in store! We called waited 30+ mins for manager Tyler patterson to override the refund. He never answered the phone so we drove over to find out he was working in appliances because they had call outs (as if thats my problem). So apparently because of this they just completely ignore their customers. Ive never had such a bad experience. Will be shopping at home depot going forward. I called the store three times until I got a customer service representative who told me that there was no way to get a hold of a delivery department or drivers to see if and when our item was actually going to be delivered. It was a very large appliance and needed to be taken down some stairs into the basement so we absolutely had to be there to let them in. I called the store to ask if they still had replacement glass for an older standard bedroom light fixture. After many no answers and being disconnected several times I described it perfectly to a department employee who told me I had to special order a whole new fixture to get the glass I needed. When I went to pick up the special order they had stacks of what I had wanted but was told they did not carry. Employees need to know what is in their departments. I special ordered and prepaid for some very expensive window blinds on Oct.14th 2024. I was told they would be in about Nov. 10th 2024. On Nov. 9th I received a call from Lowes they had been in store since Oct. 21st and if I didn't call for extension I couldn't pick them up? No one contacted me that they were in but they did threaten me they would be unavailable if I didn't ask for extension. I rushed to store and the employee said sorry that happens a lot. read more

So my impression walking into the store first of all is I wonder how many people lose toes every year wandering around in flip-flops, which brought me just a little bit backwards in time wondering how many people get run over in the parking lots of Lowe's every year because they're wandering aimlessly and don't see the big cargo van that backs over them: Now down to why I'm actually writing a review here. The selection quality and price of building materials in this place is absolutely abysmal. What they did have was ACX plywood which I needed ripped, which they did, but they also dropped it at least a couple of times so the tear outs thought I could having them do it for me we're offset by the smashed corners and splintering. They might as well not have hardwood at all if the only thing they're gonna carry is oak, and second rate oak at that. Pretty much everything that I needed out of the electrical section they did not have... same thing in hardware, and what they did have was priced through the roof. read more

I went to Lowe's to purchase some lawn products. The sign said $36.98. I made the purchase and on my way to the car I realized that isn't what I laid. I verified on the receipt and sure enough I was charged $71.09. I put the product in my car then went back to check the price. The price was $36.08 so I took a picture of the tag and went to the cashier. She then told me I picked up the wrong product t. I explained the product was from the stack in the picture. She then told me that customers move things and if I didn't want the product to return it. I told her I understand customers move things but how and why is that my problem they are to make sure the items are in the correct place. We were doing new counter tops and appliances. we got $5000 worth of appliances: dishwasher, stove top, oven, hood while the counter tops were being installed. The hood was planned to be an exact replacement. Since the backsplash was thicker the hood would not fit. Lowes refused to let us return it, claiming a 48 hour return policy. Shortly after that , Lowes informed me the crew (employed by them?) were inside Lowes Ventura to pick up and deliver and not were NOTallowed to deliver it because the box it was in had been opened. When I ordered it IN this store It was fully paid for weeks earlier including the delivery fee. I had hoped to also order countertops, flooring and lighting . Well, THATS not going to happen! If you purchase an item you can not get credit or money back on your credit or debit card. I understand there is a lot of theft. And having certain policies... but.... Just had a great experience at my nearby Lowe's in Ventura. Buying a professional paint sprayer - Ray in paint helped us choose the perfect (Graco X7) for our needs. Ray took the time to make sure I knew how to set it up, use it & then clean it & store it. Humberto (Beto) made sure I got the best value for our money. Poor customer service I paid for to have the floor in my bathroom replaced was charged a delivery fee $79. this is for a very small job so I was also charged 57.17 for what they call a small job upcharge . I waited over three weeks for the estimate to be done. Both estimates were incorrect not the material I selected and many errors were done I had to return and reselect what I wanted and now they are saying that estimate is missing items and I must wait another week for them to call me, I have been waiting now for over two months close to three. I not sure how they can stay in business I should have hired a handy man and I am sorry ever thinking they could handle even a small job like this. I went to Lowes after work on 01/03/05 , whits shopping a few people ashked if I needed help. That was nice, but I was good. I made it to check out. Oh no, only self check out! This part doesn't always go well. And it didn't. My gift cards wouldn't scan. Cynthia although busy trying to help me, they still wouldn't. She still remained calm and smiling brought me and my stuff to a regular register ran me up and entered my cards manually. Bad if you open a charge account you are charged $2.00 for the paper statement. If you are late or as in my case the check was and still is lost in the mail you get a late fee and finance charges that go beyond the month that was not received. Good you get 5% off using the store card but it doesn't equal that annoying $2.00. You can go paperless but you won't be dealing with Lowe's it's synchrony bank. Also never ending emails. They get one star because there is no negative rating. Three years and we still have an incomplete kitchen, ensuite bathroom and hall linen closet. Entire homes have been built in less time. Kraftmaid Cabinetry has been purchased by a company that has no quality control. Over and over and over again they have shipped damaged cabinets. Lowe's does absolutely nothing to resolve the issues but order more cabinets to be taken to the dump. We have contacted Lowe's at the store level all the way to the board of directors. NOTHING, has been resolved in three years. No wonder Home Depot out performs Lowe's in the stock market year after year. Last night, I went to look for a specific piece of hardware. I asked 2 different employees and still couldn't find it. I then asked Trey and he pointed me in the right direction. He must've saw me from a distance, still searching for the hardware, walked past me, opened a drawer and said, "Is this what you're looking for?" It was exactly what I needed.
