I enjoy driving by and seeing the colorful plants in the shade of a giant oak, so I finally stopped in. It is like visiting a botanic garden, with everything from citrus trees to vegetable starts, native fliwering plants and lots of succulents. The colorful pots for sale are artistcally placed. Service was friendly and lowkey with reasonable prices. read more

Flora Gardens - Nurseries & Gardening Near Me - Ojai, California

I stopped in here to look for a giant decorative planter/pot. After wandering around a bit, I went inside and asked the two employees at the front desk for suggestions. The young man quickly turned me over to the young woman and she took me around the grounds to show me what they had, and when I explained I was going to plant a dwarf citrus, she let me know they really didn't have any planters/pots big enough for that. I did see one or two that were maybe okay, but were super expensive, so for my sake, her advice was accurate. I appreciate her honesty and now that I bought a half-barrel off FB Marketplace, I plan to return to Flora Gardens when my tree arrives so they can sell me the right kind of soil to fill in my planter. :) read more

I enjoy coming to Flora Gardens when I want to do something fun in our garden. Purchases have included lots of lavender, succulents, seeds, and flowers for the yard. Their staff is knowledgeable and super friendly and the Ventura Axxess deal for first time use is a whopping 25% off, amazing! They have a great selection of trees too, stop by you won't be disappointed! And if you're looking for seeds, they sell my favorite seeds (Plant Good Seeds) in a ton of various fruits and veggie options. Great seeds means great harvest! read more

Reasonably fair pricing with helpful people offering help and suggestions. Nice feel in the atmosphere. Nice arrangements.

Really impressed by this quaint & unassuming little nursery in Ojai! I decided to stop by on my way to downtown and am so glad I did. Though their selection of indoor houseplants is quite small (just one small room), they do have an overall good selection of everything in general (outdoor plants, cacti, etc.) What I was most impressed by was their reasonable pricing and variety of pots! Maybe I'm too jaded by LA pricing but I thought everything was really affordable and thought they actually had some really cute cement & terra cotta pots. I will definitely be revisiting the next time I'm in the Ojai area. read more

My favorite local nursery! Always well stocked with seasonal plants and flowers and everyone is super helpful

HUGE variety of plants that are well taken care of and in excellent condition. Wonderful customer service and plenty of people around to ask for help or planting advice. Inside the shop, they offer some unique cards, apothecary and plant products for every plant lover. This place is now a must "stop by" when I visit Ojai read more

OMG!!!! I love this nursery... It has some of the best succulent selections and various plants that I love. And if I happen to find a plant that I like they will find it and ship it to their location so I can pick it up. Flora the owner is such a lovely person. I showed her some plants that she had outside of the nursery property, and she help me pick them up. I'm definitely coming back here again. THANK You Flora. read more

I was so disappointed while at Flora gardens July 3rd, as they were getting ready to close there was a young Hispanic woman standing at the gate waiting to lock it as soon as the last 2 customers were gone. Several cars were pulling into the parking lot wanting to get in and they were Hispanic people she allowed them to go in with a smile, they told her they would be quick another car pulled in this time it was a white woman when she asked if she could go in the Hispanic woman said no they were closed and she got back in her car and left... another car pulled in 2 Hispanic men got out and asked the girl if they could go in and she allowed them this was ABSOLUTE RACISM so sad this is a business in our valley shame on Flora Gardens read more

Flora Gardens - Succulents! Good prices too!! - Nurseries & Gardening Near Me - Ojai, California

Read the previous negative review about poor customer service and totally get it. However, I think the difficulty stems from policies to stay safe. It's true customers have to do A LOT more grunt work hauling things around, figuring out the (confusing) system, and getting someone to help, but I'm willing to cut them some slack. This too will pass, and I'm happy they're pressing through rather than giving up and closing. They do have science-based policies in place and customers are being smart following them, so I feel I can get my herb garden plants even in those small aisles without risking my life. read more

Danny Murillo, owner, was horrible and gave no customer service whatsoever. He blew off my requests with rudeness and acted like he was too busy for his customers. Will not be returning and would not recommend. read more

Good selection, reasonable prices, I go there often. Customer service is neutral, not bad, not impressionable either. Before COVID, the people working there were much more personable and informative overall. read more

I shopped for my vegetable garden today and enjoyed the great selection. The plants I have purchased at Flora Gardens have always been very healthy and I love the variety of plants to choose from. The customer service is really impressive. They take the time to help answer my questions and even carry the items to my car for me. Danny and Carolina were both super friendly. I am so glad we have such a beautiful nursery to shop at in Ojai! read more

I'm sorry, I hate posting a poor review of this nursery that I've been going since I was a little girl. It's nice that they have remained open through this difficult time BUT... there was NO costumer service what so ever. It was so bad that other customers were complaining as well. We couldn't get prices for soil so my friend went to ask and the young lady didn't answer her and just pointed to the sign. They had us carry in a cart full of plants and had us carry them back out. When we asked for assistance we were ignored. We left without buying half the stuff we intended to. What a disappointment. Hate to say it. read more

Wow, I was just placing another order from them when I got this message. I drove from Port Hueneme to Flora because of the great reviews and they weren't kidding. First I called the day before and asked if I could send an email with a list of plants I needed. They said sure, and the next day I got an email back with what they had and what they could order for me. Duncan was helpful from the beginning to the end. Carolina even ordered me a bamboo teepee trellis for my tomatoes. I look forward to working with them for a long time to come read more

Excellent customer service, friendly and a great selection of plants and flowers that do wonderful in Ojai.

Best garden shop in all of Ojai if not the county, always helpful staff and they got some high quality plants and soils.

After living in Oak View for the past 3 years and making the "long, horrible" trek into the big city to go to (ahem) another nursery there, we discovered Flora. Never going anywhere else! Great stuff and the prices are comparable to GF, without the long, trafficky trek . Flora's selection of heirloom tomatoes is out of this world!! I need to annex a neighbor so I can plant a whole field of tomatoes!!! read more
