Couldn't recommend Rod's nursery more!!! I checked it out because of the overwhelming amount of positive reviews- and I'm happy to share that it truly is a gem. It's a huge outdoor nursery (and I mean huge) and the spectrum of plants and pots is amazing. Now I will say this: dont go expecting a Lowe's or Home Depot Garden department set up. It is a outdoor nursery, and you will find yourself navigating a few different areas of crammed paths. overall, the plants are beautiful and healthy, Rod is so kind and knowledgeable, and the prices are always ideal. I bought 4 plants for $40 when just one of the larger indoor plants would be $40 at Lowe's. Rod- you are officially my plant master and your nursery is the only place I'll be going in the future! read more

Such a wonderful hidden gem! I was looking for mini succulents to give as favors for a party and thanks to the NextDoor app, I was recommended to check out Rod's by many of my neighbors. I was pleasantly surprised to show up and find a sea of succulents. So many options and unique varieties of succulents that I've never seen. I'm a succulent lover so I was in heaven! They have many different sizing options as well. Great value! They have a special for a whole flat for $55 and there's well over 60 succulents that fit in the flat. They accept cash and card. The quality of the succulents is great too. They look so fresh and healthy. You can find many other things aside from succulents. Pots, statues, fruit trees, herbs. You name it, they probably have it. The woman working there today was so nice, informative, and helped me carry my things to my car. Upon entering, my daughter and I were greeted by Carlos who was very helpful in showing me around the nursery. Such friendly service here, I noticed anyone who needed help that they (Carlos and Rod) took their time in showing or explaining, never rushing. Once I was ready to pay, I was assisted by Rod who not only helped me load up. He also went beyond by making sure my trunk wouldn't get dirty with a layer of a flattened box to place first to which he placed the plants on top. Very much appreciate the thoughtfulness! My daughter (4) and I thoroughly enjoyed our time here to shop and browse the of varieties that are offered here. We spent nearly an hour and a half enjoying our time, seeing familiar and new plants. They have a lot of succulents (tons of sizes), some foliage, rubber, monstera, roses, pottery, mixed plants, etc. I found their ad on Facebook Marketplace and also asked their store hours to which Rod responded promptly via FB messenger. I was amazed at the selection of succulents, plants and statues. Never went until I found it on Yelp! Green Thumb is a little expensive, and I don't really have luck with plants. The place is huge inside with plants I've never seen before and loved the bright colored cactus. The man and young lady where very helpful and overly friendly, but let you look at everything on your own, but available to answer questions I highly recommend going to this nursery for the reasonable prices and make sure you see the laughing 3 little pig statues! HIDDEN GEM!! Do yourself a favor and stop by Rod's Nursery & Landscape on the corner of Wells Rd & Telegraph. I have driven by here for 6 years and finally stopped in and what a find. They have something for everyone! So many different succulents in so many different sizes and colors. They have a great selection of unique statues and succulent bowls. I ended up with a gorgeous mini birdbath already filled with luscious succulents and have already received compliments on it from my friends. My favorite find was a statue of Mother Mary standing serenely amongst the flowers. Prices are so reasonable but it's the natural beauty of the flowers,succulents and statuary that draws you in.....if nothing else.....go take a look and celebrate this local gem! read more
